Brought my car in for AC work. They told me I need a completely new system (condenser, belt, dryer, coolant). I had made an appointment because they are so busy. They had my car for three days before it was ready. Upon picking it up and paying $1800 it wasnt that hot out so I didnt notice that the AC wasnt cooling very well. I tried it again on a day it was 83 and overcast - hardly any cooling. When I popped the hood there was a plastic insulation wrap that was hanging on.Their website writes they are masters of air conditioning service and replacement.I went to take it back and told them about the situation and the wrap and had to leave it there for another 3 days. Apparently if they do not complete your work; you have to go back to the end of the line.Thankfully they did not hit me with an additional charge, because I would have gone ballistic if they had. No apology, of course, because to apologize means you messed up.This has been an honest review. I have been trying to find a good mechanic since Voss Automotive left town. I will give FGR another shot like I have given others that benefit before I decide to never visit them again (like Garys Automotive - never going there again).

The a/c on my 2000 Chevy Prizm stopped working after 21 years so I made an appt. here to have it checked after reading so many positive reviews. They took care of it promptly at a fair price. Perfect. And I can bring it back within a year for a free leak test if it quits working.

I called to get an emissions test on my car. One of the owners politely asked if I could drop it off. I did so that same afternoon and within 24 hours the test was complete. I even got a walk through on how to register online for my renewal plates as a bonus! It only took 5 minutes to complete online and I really appreciate having Florissant Garage so close to home!

Car repairs are never as cheap as you want them to be especially as they get up there in mileage, but I have really come to like this shop. I have a mechanic right next to my work, and I would rather take it to these guys (except for an oil change or two) as their labor rates are fair, and they stand by their workmanship. I have become a loyal customer, and they always seem to fit me in no matter how busy they are.

I went to FGR for my emissions test and for a problem I was having for emergency work I had to have done at another shop. My car lost all power and I had to have another shop do work. FGR inspected the part and let me know it was a defective part. Unfortunately I had to take it back to other shop. I will have all my work in the future done by FGR as they are very honest and nice people. They have my trust. Thank you Florissant Garage.

I thought I was purchasing a nice vehicle from a professional mechanic which of whom sold me a lemon. I purchased a 2004 Honda Accord from Jeffery G. Keeven for $3200, who told me he had just put a motor in it that had 150K. As a single mother who has to get a child back and forth to school, I gave Jeff the cash, trusting him as decent and professional business man. Well, needless to say within two weeks the check engine light comes on, so I took it back to Jeff to take care of because I only had it for two weeks. He told me more work was needed then charged me can additional $800, for a tow, oil change, censor replacement, and a new radiator. I paid for the extra work because I need the vehicle and I trusted him to do it professionally and right. The vehicle still was running hot after all of the money I put into it. So, when I took it back for the fourth time, Jeff tells me I have a broken head gasket and he doesnt want to work on it. He gave no specifics as I am aware of the fact that he stiff me and got over on a single woman and mother. I got a second opinion which of whom assured me that I was sold a lemon by a mechanic who just wanted to get back the money he had already put into it without having to sacrifice more time and money but at the fruits of my labor which is a horrible tatic. I want people to be aware of people like Jeffery Keeven, and how he took my $4000 for a car I only drove for three weeks. No, he never offered any of my money back and yes I did report this incident to the better business bureau. Lastly, Jeffery Keevan, may God have mercy on you. Nothing good comes to a man that takes from others!!!! Also it was very unprofessional of you to say that you didnt want to bother with it only because it was your problem in the beginning, which you pushed over on me and made a profit. I always get great honest service here. On Thursday, I began my day super early as I had a Catering I was preparing for, when I noticed a grinding coming from my rear brakes. As Florissant Garage is always so busy and you need to make an appointment usually a week in advance, I called in hopes they could help me out. I explained how I could drive my van and absolutely needed it that day for a catering. Even though were packed once again and didnt have any availability until the next week, They understood and had me bring it right in and a few short hours later, I was back on the road. It was a disaster averted thanks to the quick caring actions of the people at Florissant Garage.
