I worked with car salesman for several days. Sent every ounce of information I had. I was told a deal could be worked out without any money down. Get a call a couple days later and get told $500. Ok I can do that! My current vehicle transmission went out and it’s an open loan. HE KNEW THIS!! He still had me believe he could work a deal. I sacrificed what I had to put my $500 on a vehicle. The finance manager was very rude and not understanding that her salesman pretty much fed me false info for days when I could’ve went elsewhere. I informed them I have a growing family. So a car wouldn’t work let alone a smaller SUV than what I already have. I would’ve had more respect if I was told upfront what could be done or what could not be done than to be lead on a wild goose chase for days and I’m still out of a vehicle!!! Beyond frustrated with N. Lindbergh location!!!

Cant trade due to Vin #( branded title) bought in st louis..titled in Illinois, I recommend do not purchase form this company!!..I am getting BBB/Attorney General involved...I still cant believe!!!...they deserve no stars!!!

Lots of issues with the process at this location. I feel like I got a good car for the money, but that was luck. Tires were NOT the 40% minimum tread I was promised, in fact, they were 2/32! We had to ask for a spare tire jack. Salesman was distracted and less than helpful. Finance guy was good, but their rate was not. Went with my own CU.I also was not greeted, and felt like I was in their way after driving 4 hours to purchase the car. Most of the messages I left were unreturned, and when I called the Managers call number I was given, at one point I got a whoever is calling me, stop calling! I am at the hospital text. ClassyWe would use Hertz Auto Sales again, but would choose a different location. Sketchy.
Horrible experience. I did the rent-to-buy program. I rented a car at the Car Sales place, then I went down the street to fill out the rental papers. I asked if I could return at the Car Sales place, they said yes. I rented at 11:05am on Friday and returned at 10am on Monday. That is a 3 day rental. They charged me additional rental fees. Hertz is being incredibly dishonest. This was a huge hassle with the Car sales place, the rental place and 800 customer service. Dont rent with them. The experience is horrible.

Great Prices. Great Selection. Car salesman are trained to lie regardless. Got my car in March told me he it had pass the inspection with 5 point star. Top of line supposedly. I get to Nissan dealer for a check on my brakes(they were squeaking) they give me at least four things that are wrong on my car, such as: Brakes, Rotors, TRANSMISSION FLUID, AND something else . Too much money for a supposedly high inspection car. Smh. I feel played .

I bought my car November 2nd of last year. Purchasing it was easy, it was exactly the car I wanted, and the guys at Hertz made the process as pleasant and painless as possible. Since purchasing the car, I’ve had the serpentine belt and one of the tires replaced at no cost to me over the course of more than two months, because Tom has gone above and beyond to make sure that not only was I happy with the car the day I bought it, but that I continue to be happy with my decision. I can’t recommend this place highly enough if you not only want to purchase a great car, but also want to know that you are valued and will be taken care of if anything goes wrong.
I really like their no haggle pricing. Some good deals can be had on 1 or 2 year old vehicles but you still need to do your own due diligence as with any used car dealer. I was shocked that they were able to finance me with a better rate then my credit union offered me.
Very unpleasant experience. A sales person named Tom was a major jerk. When we pointed out that we noticed some damage on the front windshield and if it was because of an accident, he seemed to get agitated and pulled some reports and very rudely said well it shows there was nothing, but i am sure you know better. We all know that accident reports will only show if its reported to the insurance and if you fix it yourself it will not be there. When we asked what is the best deal he can offer he left us without saying anything and came back with his manager who was just as rude if not more. As soon as we introduced ourselves he said thanks for coming but thats our best deal! He didnt ask us anything else or give us a chance to say anything. We were just baffled and left. The whole experience was terrible. If you want to get disrespected and treated like dirt this is the place to go. They might have also treated us like this because we are foreigners.
Would not recommend associates lack integrity.Went to the N. Lindbergh location last Wednesday to look at vehicle and was very disappointed by how I was treated. The sales associate was friendly enough but when it was time to talk financing he & the finance rep tried to take advantage of me. I came in the door telling him that I was already approved by Cap.one but they tried to pressure me into using their bank by lying and saying their bank offered me a lower APR. They were also trying to get me to purchase extra coverage products & extend my loan from 60mths to 72mths taking a $13k loan to over $20k. I guess they weren’t expecting me to pull out a calculator & do the math for myself.... I repeatedly asked to see the numbers in writing & their excuse was that everything was on a computer in the back so they returned with some sticky notes & WOULDNT YOU KNOW...Their bank’s APR was a half percent higher than my bank for both loan terms.Another thing I should mention is an inappropriate comment that the finance guy made when he was giving me his promo for the 360 dent & ding coverage... he said that if I ever got into a fight with my boyfriend & slashed him up in the car that the cuts in the seat would be fixed free of charge... RACIST MUCH??? He must have seen the look of shock on my face because then he said “Well that one usually gets a laugh” I guess because I’m a single black woman I was supposed to relate to or maybe take humor in domestic violence... I am a school teacher with 2 degrees, but even if I worked at MacDonalds I still deserve to be treated with professionalism. I told them I still wanted to shop around & left feeling deeply disappointed because I really expected better from the Hertz brand.... Today I went to the other rental car company that starts with an E & their sales team was exceptional, they treated me with respect & had me sit down with the finance rep in his office & he ran the numbers IN PRINT for each loan option so I knew exactly what was going on & felt comfortable with my purchase. Integrity goes a long way, unfortunately the Hertz reps that I dealt with didn’t have any.
I bought a Toyota Yaris from Hertz in February. Chris was my sales rep and he was great. I almost didnt get the car because Hertz wasnt willing to make requested repairs before purchase at first but after contacting them further and complaining, they agreed to accommodate. Everything was somewhat good after that, decent deal on a newer car.Since purchasing the vehicle in February with 45k miles and it now has 58k, the rear wheels are making noise. Seems like the wheel bearings need to be replaced which seems kinda soon for an almost 3 year old car. Not sure if this has to do with Toyota quality control or Hertz quality but its concerning.To be honest, I probably wouldnt buy another car from Hertz, mostly due to the bad luck Ive had with this car (2 days after buying it a drunk guy backed into it, a rock chipped the windshield, rear window shattered by debris or a bb) which all had nothing to do with Hertz and I dont think they will have a car Id want in the future.I would however tell others to go here if they see a car they like in the inventory. Overall they are a decent business and pretty honest. I have no major issues with Hertz.
My parents and I went to Hertz after car shopping for hours. I was extremely surprised at the amount of cars they had in my budget and with the lowest mileage I had seen anywhere. Willie helped us immediately and didnt pressure me into buying anything. He listened to exactly what I wanted and didnt try to sell me anything differently or out of my budget. I liked the no-haggle pricing, especially because the cars were already within KBB pricing. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. They made my first car buying experience painless and fun! We would definitely go there again in the future! The one negative thing about it all was that I only got one key for my car, but Willie offered a solution that wouldnt break the bank as much as going to a big car dealership.
I was excited about a getting a new car. The car I purchased (January 2019) needed brakes and I was told they fixed them. I was told the grinding is due to car sitting and the rust have to been driven off. This is going on month 3 and the grinding is still going on. Oh and not to mention my key fob has not worked since I purchased my car in January and Im still waiting for them to give me a key that works. I am driving a car that I cant not lock my damn doors. Very dissatisfied with how they are treating this situation.

Our salesperson, Greg, I believe his name was, was very helpful and professional. The place was clean and organized and the lot had plenty of cars to choose from. No pressure from anyone, and even though we didnt purchase a vehicle from them, it was still a pleasant experience overall.
Emailed them asking about a vehicle and when I arrived at the lot the vehicle was not there. Was told it was at another facility getting a new front grill put on. This would have been valuable information to convey to me via the emails before I drove all the way from Wentzville. Very small lot and very small office area...no privacy.
So shady, 0 stars.My husband and I bought a car from this location and returned it 12 hours later because it was a pos, and they have a 7 day return policy. They gave us both our checks backs and said they didn’t cash them, but they actually did. They signed an agreement saying they refunded us in full, but they an essence stole our money. They said they have to call corporate on Monday to get a check and aren’t sure how long it will take.I will be the contacting a lawyer, filing a complaint with the FTC, Department of Revenue, and BBB. Their cars are lemons, Manager and sales people are crooks, run far far away from this place!!
Horrible experience. The vehicle we bought had warning lights come on almost immediately. I had to call no less than 10 times over two months to even get a call back. I was told I would get a second key, never got one. I was told I would get floor mats, never got them. I was told someone would return my call, that never happened. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Bought at car in March 2018 and bought the additional oil change car package for $825. We never received the oil change vouchers after 2 months and was told they were printed and in the mail. After several months of not receiving them we ask for our money back. Was told by Jill & Jeremy we will receive a check and still nothing 4 months later. Everytime we call we get more excuses from Jill that they only cut checks once a month and we have to wait 4 to 6 weeks and still waiting. We also paid cash for the car and the oil car package. Will never buy from Hertz ever again. They have stole $825.00 from us.

These reviews saved me alot of trouble. I went to the lot today March 30th to test drive a vehicle and heard the breaks scraping and grinding and driver side heated seat needs repair. The key fob didnt lock the doors per the salesman. We discussed issues and I was told by the salesman they would repair them all on Monday Hertz takes their certification serious so the mechanic must of missed the heated seat issue but that it probably just rust coming off the breaks. So glad I came to checkout their reviews because we were prepared to purchase. Now I know not to trust them at all.

I had a great experience dealing with the car salesmen initially. They were all extremely nice and attentive, however, once I made my trade I heard from no one regarding issues. They mailed my loan information to the wrong bank (thats ok accidents happen) but no one called me to let me know what the hold up was. I called on several occasions and no one would contact me back. Needless to say I inquired a late fee at the dmv for licensing. They also gave me expired emissions and safety tests so I had to purchase on my own and again go back to the dmv. I was told I would be reimbursed for what was appropriate. This was in September. I have now talked with more than 6 people including corporate who also said they would call back. It is frustrating that all of these issues could have been resolved with simple communication. I have given them 4 months to make things right before finally writing a review. Again.. everyone was extremely nice, however, absolutely no follow through. Unfortunately, next time I will be taking my business elsewhere as well as letting others know the issues and concerns I have had.
We bought a 2017 nissan maxima from here, the service and the staff was absolutely top notch, just a good group of people to deal with we werent pressured into buying something we didnt want, and the selection of cars was unbelievable not to mention the pricing is the lowest we found and we drove a hour and a half, I would highly recommend them for all of your car need, and I will definitely come back to purchase another vehicle, thank you guys so much!!!!!
Terrible maintenance on their cars. Do not waste your time. When I first purchased my car the trunk was not closing right. It took over a month to figure out when they could fix it because they wanted to use their guy and would not let me use my mechanic. Now I come to find out that their guy completely stripped off the hex head on my oil drain plug and once again they want to use their guy who did this in the first place. Please heed my warning do not buy from these people.
Tom was my sales person. In which I was really pleased. However, the finance person made up a quick story about me putting an extra 200 down on my car. Down payment are a gimmick even for ppl with bad credit. For every 1000 u put down it will only take ur note down by $20.00 dealership dont tell u that. Overall I like my car still has a couple of hiccup the shop didnt do a good job on fixing
So far so great..Willie was my car salesman and I was quick to buy so much so that I didnt realize I didnt have any gas in the car I called the next day and he told me to come back up and they will fill it promptly. Great cheap place to buy a car..I def will recommend my family and friends to Willie. Thanks hertz for making it so easy. By the way i didnt use their finances I was already pre-approved by my bank.
Terrible customer service. Contacted this location today to see if they worked with people who are being discharged from bankruptcy. My bankruptcy will be discharged this week so I figured Id call around and get details on dealer programs. A friend recommended Hertz due to the low prices on their cars. The low prices must be because they have TERRIBLE customer service. The guy who answered the phone mumbled and sounded like he was in bed taking a personal call. He couldnt answer any of my questions and didnt sound like he gave a damn so I requested a manager. The manager brushed off my comments about his employee, so Im assuming this rudeness is the norm. Id stay away from here due to lack of professionalism.
