Response- He had an appointment on Monday to pick it up and you sold it before he got there. He did put down a deposit (shouldn’t matter how little-it was a deposit). and even had a handshake on it. You knew he goes to school out of town and works out of town and Monday was the soonest he could get there. I still stick to my one star rating. He is my son not my brother. Still doesn’t explain why the manager didn’t call and ignored him every time he called. I know I tell everyone in the market for a car not to go to GMT. It’s done and over but bad publicity will go way further than having a satisfied customer.Do not do business here! They take a deposit on a vehicle that has to be detailed and then sell the car out from under you! Dirty business! Then when you try to talk to them about it-they just hang up on you. Guess they know they did wrong and are too chicken to own up to it.

My brother went to buy a Hyundai Veloster from the salesman Tony here, Tony was a great salesman and my brother was highly satisfied with his customer service. My brother made the deposit on the car to hold it as his, and was informed it was his car, my brother waited for the car to be available, and while my brother was waiting the sales manager (Brian) sold it out from under him, and refunded him his deposit. My brother has tried contacting them several times, and every time they hang up on him, and refuse to get through with him. The whole situation has been screwed up, and I definitely don’t recommend doing business with Travers GMT unless you want to get promised a car is yours, and it gets sold out right under you.

Alex Schmutz was great to deal with. I had been across the street for 4 hours getting absolutely nowhere and decided to give Travers a try. Alex met me on the lot, showed me a truck that was almost right for my needs and then searched until he found the right one on a different lot. Yes, they have a good variety of vehicles. Yes, they will work hard to get you in a vehicle. HOWEVER, take your vehicle to an independent mechanic and have it checked THOROUGHLY within the 1st week of having it. I did all the necessary due diligence when I purchased my truck 5mths ago. Checked Carfax, had it checked by their service department (big joke) and when I had my 1st issue (within 2wks of having it) took it right back to their service department. Very long story short, my truck is not driveable and the repairs are going to cost thousands. Even the mechanic said the issues were old and never addressed! But not found when they initially looked it over!? Even when the lights were on!? Dont be fooled. Youd be better off going someplace else.

I dont leave bad reviews, like ever. This is the worst car buying experience I have ever had. Test drove on a Saturday. I had an appointment and was short on time. The test drive was truly just an eye test because I liked everything about the vehicle including the price. After the test drive, I said to the salesman this is a great truck, at a great price. Im not going to mess with you on price but why dont you split some upgrades with me. Wheels, tires, tint the front, spray in bed liner, and tonneau cover (which they just took off another truck on the lot). The salesman paused for a second and said man, I think we are pretty close so I told him I needed to get the kids home for dinner and would take a personal day on Monday to make the purchase.Went in Monday around 930am...jumped in the truck to run over to the tire shop to pick out wheels and tires. No problem. Yet. Headed back to the office and waited about 45 minutes. They said they were waiting on a number from the tire guy to have a finalized total. No big deal, but my wife and I decided to go get lunch and come back. Heres when the fun started.The sales manager (claiming this wasnt his store usually) basically came in and said the salesman did not have the authority to make the deal we had agreed upon. We are 3 hours in now. Then (and I know my credit score, so I know what rate I should get) he says he can do 8.9% and the payment would be easily $100 over what I knew it should be. Now Im pretty aggravated...to which the sales manager nicely says you are welcome to go down the street, we will take a check from someone else but this is the best we can do.. We walked out with a buy sheet. On the way out the door he stops me and says wait, *so and so* will do 5.9% on your loan. Interesting, why didnt they offer that in the first place.So wife and I went down the street and got a loan for 4.2% and brought them a check. Signed and drove, knowing we still needed to set up the upgrades. My salesman apparently cannot read or forward texts because he completely screwed up the info and sent me nonsense from the tire guy. Now Im worried they will order the wrong tires and literally CANNOT get a hold of my salesman or anyone who knows anything.Thank goodness for the wheel and tire shop (temporarily) because they did a great job setting up all my appointments for bed liner, wheels, and tint. Fast forward to today. One week after the wheels and tires went on (studs still on the tread of the tires...like 250 miles) I feel a little shimmy. Drop my daughter off at the babysitter...shimmy just a little worse. I think there might be a rock in the tire...jumped out to check...nothing. Jump on the highway (3 mile trip) and now theres a noise. Jump out, check the left front wheel, and three of the brand new lug nuts are broken off. Two more are loose. According to NAPA(where I luckily parked and found the problem), AutoZone(where I went looking for parts because NAPA was out), and the incredibly highly reviewed repair shop that I am sitting IN RIGHT NOW, the wheel and tire shop likely didnt tighten the lug nuts. If you are wondering why Im mentioning all of this on the sales review, its because Travers Sales and Travers Premier Auto are in cahoots, so worth noting that this could be an isolated incident, unless its not.These facts are indisputable, regardless of any response I might get from Travers on here...Use this information at your discretion, but I will obviously never be going back to any Travers branded organization ever.***Edit...one month later crickets from Travers Auto Sales...the tire shop guy called and was incredibly apologetic and offered to fix the issue. I do not have the time and / or trust to drive back out there. At least Travers Premier Auto Service was honest enough to call. The sales place, not so much...

Bad deals, misinformation, they blow your phone up harassing you for what they need, then ignore your calls when you call them back and all I want is my car back. It’s only been 2 days! When people tell you they can’t afford a vehicle, you guys should listen instead of pressuring them to buy anyway, we are in the middle of a pandemic for crying out loud!

If I could I would give Gmt zero stars. I bought two cars from the dealership which was both good running vehicles but not paying any attention to paperwork they transferred the entire $11000 for my trade to my new loan and only have my $500 for my trade that was work at least $7000. They turned around and sold my trade quickly for at least $10000. It’s a lesson learned that I need to read every line of the paperwork and not let anyone rush me through the buying process. This happend last year in March I have now traded that car in and I would never go to a disloyal place like that again. My name is Ralph Hoffman and I should have did a better job reading the paperwork that I was rushed through. I owed $11,000 on my trade and they transferred that entire debt to my new loan. All they gave me was $500 for a car that had a trade in value of $5-7000. And they turned around and sold the car for $10000 so they got a $100 percent profit. Make sure to read all the paperwork and it let them rush you because it can cost you a lot of money if you go off their word.

If I could leave a negative review I would! The customer service at this place is HORRIBLE!!! I went in to speak with someone in management on behalf of my elderly uncle whom they sold a truck to less than 90 days ago. The truck they sold him was very expensive and based on his income, there is no way he could afford it. In addition, due to his current mental condition, he did not have the capacity to properly enter into ANY contractual agreement. I tried explaining the situation to them on 3 different occasions hoping to work something out to return the vehicle. I got absolutely nowhere. The sales associates are great! Douglas was a gem. However, starting with Christy and those in management positions above her are dismissive, rude, and abrasive. The only answer they had was to have my uncle, who only receives social security disability, pay more money he cannot afford and then they will buy it back from him at whatever they appraise it for. All of that for a vehicle purchased less than 90 days ago!?! The last time I called, whoever I spoke with hung up on me. They prey on vulnerable, low income people like my uncle. Once they get their money, they are no longer accommodating. I myself was looking to purchase a Mercedes midsize SUV from them. After my recent experience, I will NEVER purchase anything from this place and I will be sure to tell everyone I come in contact with to not purchase from them as well.

I would recommend reading reviews and visiting the bbb before thinking about financing a vehicle here. The customer service skills are horrible, and Jeff bates is not a professional car salesman at all. If you are purchasing a car for the first time, I do not recommend going to this place alone, as a salesman you are suppose to inform you buyer on important information he will not tell you things, they just want to get paid. They will not tell you things you need to know instead they will avoid phone calls and emails .It was way easier to get in contact with someone about financing a car but they don’t answer questions about the ones they sell to you . I should have known from the beginning that I was set up. The original car I drove two hours to look at they told me when I got there the car got “sent back”. They always trying to get rid of Volkswagen or sell them first .. I was sold a car that stopped on me the second week I had it, which lead up to it being into the shop for a week. I couldn’t get in contact with the salesman who sold it to me from when the incident happens to the end. I was constantly calling up there to talk to Jeff or a manger, they kept sending me to his voicemail. They would tell me a manger would call me in 10 mins, a manger never called. I had to keep calling until I talked to someone just for the manger to say he hasn’t been there for 3 days but somebody told me a manager was calling me right? To make a longer story short it took me to get a male to get some kind of answers and still didn’t get far.After paying $400 to get a car fixed I just got, now there’s a check engine light on 2 days later and i haven’t drove this car a full month .. I end up Speaking with a different manager because of my male friend he tried helping the situation by listening, still no one thought to get in contact with Jeff that was so busy, but when my friend arrived in person he was sitting on the same couch he was sitting on when I came to finance a car but everyone kept sending me to a voicemail like he wasn’t no where near the office . I still haven’t talked to that man since this situation has happened. Obviously they sell bad cars all the time according to Google and they don’t see this as a big problem .. I regret going to this place I thought I was doing my self a favor but it all back fired..

Quick efficient and professional!

I came in last November and bought a Lexus GS350. My sales person was The Queen I posted a one star review due to multiple reasons. First, when buying the car, the salesperson tried to push the car 1000$ over the listing price, when I brought it up she told me I was wrong, it took the contract writer to point it out to her that she was wrong, then they had to rewrite the entire contract.. Twice actually because the first contract was wrote up on a Truck that I was not even purchasing. Next, I was told I was going to be taken care of. Im 99% sure that the car was hit with some temporary paint repair/polish/pen to hide scratches and marks. Once I washed the car after purchasing I noticed a lot of marks that I did not initially see on the lot. There was white material residue on the inside of the car I had to clean. I had brought the car back immediately after washing it and explained there were many more scratches than I had initially noticed. I was told they were there prior and was thrown under the bus. On top of that, I was initially told that the car did have remote start capability and that if not, it could be easily installed after purchase, courtesy of GMT if the car didnt have it because they had a guy, who never did help me. I was told it had all the features including the ability to hook the car up to my phone. Come to find out the car doesnt have remote start at all, doesnt have the app features and I have to pay $325 to get the simple remote start installed by the Lexus dealer, and I cant use the lexus app with the car. I had made a note to Christy that this was a MUST-HAVE when purchasing the car. On top of that I had to immediately have a rubbing issue fixed on the left front brakes/rotors after driving off the lot. I have recently helped someone purchase a car through PLAZA. It was a much different experience that I appreciated, which prompted my review here. Being told I could use the app by your salesperson and then by Lexus that the car cant use the app is what kicked my review to a 1 star.. otherwise it would have been a 2 or 3.

Now, just 6 months later I am changing that. The 2015 car we purchased just 6 months ago has transmission issues. When we called and spoke with Joey, his response was weve had cars go out quicker than that. He bragged about misleading people. About taking advantage of people who are in desperate situations. Its disgusting and I strongly encourage people to take their business elsewhere.

The people were friendly, the vehicles were nice, and most importantly they were able to get me approved with my terrible credit history... BUT, they tried jacking the price up $4000 more than their internet price, once I pointed that out they did adjust it but they would not budge on their asking price to get me into a payment I could afford, they also tacked on an extended warranty and gap insurance to the deal which raised my loan amount up $2000. They would not negotiate at all and that disappoints me coming from a car dealership.Update: Was willing to continue to work with this company after our first encounter. They tried getting me to come in for a “better deal”. And would not tell me the number over the phone. I called and texted both Bennie and a others asking what my down payment needs to be to get my payment where I want it. Was told multiple times that they would figure it out and call me back. I’ve probably talked to 6 different people who all said they would call back but have not. Cutting ties!

I filled out the online application and spoke with a salesperson. However, once I went to my appointment a different salesman told me ALL different information and I left without being able to get a car. It was a complete waste of my time. Another customer who was sitting in the waiting area told me the same thing happened to her and she said to go to the Enterprise car lot on Dunn Road because they have better customer service.

Thank you Joey great service, great talking with you and Chris, Update bought a suv 11-27-2020 and still in the shop just received the title January 6th 2021 temp tags expired inspection expired unable to plate a vehicle, manager bryan has never returned a call. $30,000 G wagon and truck wont start premier said that the truck is fixed go there its not fixed and wont start. Horrible experience. Will just contact attorney General about the title and how this vehicle isnt fixed still at the shop January 8 2021 and took it to the shop December 2 2020. Im sure theyll call again and say the vehicle is ready they claimed they have new batteries in it and cant understand why the truck wont start

They are kind of pushy and not the most customer service oriented place so its best to go in knowing what you want and your budget. The selection of cars is huge although.
