They are always polite, its the guests you have to keep an eye on. Otherwise, just a typical gas station. They also have a rewards card for frequent visitors, its nice to get a discount on gas or the occasional free fountain drink or coffee!

Came in Sunday morning to buy a newspaper and cigarettes. Older female cashier took offense at the way I handed her my ID, then came out from behind the counter and raised her voice at me. I used to shop here three times a week at least. Wont be back. Terrible way to start a day.

The gas prices are great and I usually stop there because of the convient location of the 290 Eisenhower expressway and the other places I visit once a week.this business needs to expand their entrance and exit. This place always has a crowd.i believe that the law enforcement needs to step up their presence though. Alot of beggars that are in wheel chairs and walking in the middle of the street with signs begging for cash 💸 and by the looksof the ones begging one knows what the cash is really for.i believe that those are the people who are at thortons quite often. Doesnt stop me from getting my gas ⛽. The other gas ⛽ stations in the area are waaay higher prices than thortons. I forgot to stop there today. Could have been Devine intervention.😇

On a Monday morning July 13th, my car and I were surrounded by 3 other cars while pumping gas in my car and stole it at gun point. This was a routine stop for gas for me although I’m not from this area. I DID NOT leave my car unattended for this to happen. If possible STAY AWAY FROM HERE. DO. NOT GO. I didn’t realize Forest Park was so dangerous that something like this could happen. I regularly use other Thornton’s locations. Would hate for someone to meet the same fate.

How do you get in contact with the owner to report a serious problem that has been going on.

Almost always the cheapest gas in the neighborhood. It is located on Harlem ave near 290 expressway so it is a safe location for any time of the day or night. The staff at the store is very helpful as well.

There system sucks.. all that money they spent on upgrading for garbage.. I will rather pay more and drive further for better service and some respect .

Some of the cashiers are rude, the place is run down, it can be difficult pulling in and out. The station on 25th is cleaner, well stocked and the employees are kind

If I could do zero starts I would, I’m never the type of person to take time to do a bad review, but the lady who was there was beyond rude! She started swearing and saying ignorant stuff to my parents because my dad dropped a cup by accident! There’s no reason for anyone to act that way! I honestly don’t know what her problem is! People like that should honestly get fired!

11/16/18 12:15 A.M Just left there and there was a gentleman there who became very hostile for no apparent reason because my dad was looking for food and then yelled at my dad saying A Bro Aint nun in there, Thats dead and when i told him theres no reason to yell he started yelling and overreacting i think he was disturbed because we interrupted his conversation on the phone and then began to play victim when i approached him and asked him what was the problem, he then proceeded to run outside and make a scene to the police officer that was there doing a police report for traffic, I really think these people are racist and do not like Latinos, this young man of African decent is really troubled and i hope he seeks the necessary help he needs ill be traveling to the one 25th ave from now on and hopefully management takes action which i see isnt happening with the reviews ive read already hopefully the next people have a more pleasurable experience than I did

Bad service they cannot make fresh coffee at night shift

Horrible horrible horrible. This gas station needs to fire all the current employees and hire new people (night shift behaves like criminals) rude and threatening. Stay away!

Every time I come here when I get off work at 2:00 am they always have a sign in the window saying close for 20 minutes.

Multiple pumps broke with no signs saying such.
