The Original Spice reminds me of real chai from Thiruvanathaluram.

Online ordering was intuitive and easy; customer service was excellent. After submitting my online order, the company sent me a separate email thanking me for my order and offering to answer any questions! The order was delivered quickly, and my tea is PERFECT.5 stars all around!

OK First of all I had no knowledge of this merchant prior to a dear friend buying me some tea for Christmas. I have only recently begun drinking tea. Have always been more of a coffee gal, but the appeal of tea has won me over. I was walking down Madison with a coworker, and we happened to notice this beautiful tea shop. Not only were we greeted upon entering by the owner, we proceeded to have a pleasant conversation about his shop and the current climate of the economy and how it is affecting small businesses. I cannot stress enough how perfectly this shop has been put together and the authentic array of products that are offered. To top it off, your experience can only be enhanced by asking a question of the owner, because he will guide you in the exact right direction. Highly recommend, even if youre a beginner like me!

They have an impressive line up of teas and tea related products that encourage me to expand my tea horizons. The staff are kind, patient and very knowledgable of their products. I recently ordered tea to be delivered during quarantine and I was missing an ounce of their delicious Himalayan Honey Green tea. After reaching out about the predicament, Janet immediately responded, apologizing for the miss calculation and offered to go above and beyond service by delivering the additional ounce the next morning with how short of a distance it was. The Next day she arrived using social distancing parameters and delivered the tea by hand. She is such a kind, generous, and dedicated person! I appreciate their passion to getting orders right greatly and look forward to visiting ther shop in person in the near future to try more of their vast variety of teas.

I just received several packets of tea as a gift and I am so very impressed with the quality and freshness of the tea. The Earl Grey with double bergamot is particularly intriguing. A little more bold than traditional EG, with a lovely citrusy, tart, and spicy fragrance and flavor. I look forward to trying the other varieties, which I am certain are equally delicious.

Was introduced to this tea company by my coworker and I’ve loved it every sense!! Great selection of teas. They are the real deal for Chinese and Japanese teas as well as their house blends. They have interesting tea accessories as well. Seems like they really know what theyre doing. This place is for the serious tea drinker. While they do have some affordable teas that are excellent, they have some high priced teas that are are high grade. Usually, those are the green teas or black teas from the estates in Asia.

Lovely shop for tea lovers! Huge variety of their own loose leaf teas. Beautiful mugs, teapots and other extras. Theyre always sampling a couple teas every day. Love stopping here when Im in the neighborhood!

Todd and Holland is currently doing a major remodel of this store so they have a little best of shop around the side where you can still get your favorites. I look forward to seing the completed store where I will once again wander among the shelves of tea, sniffing the samples and pondering my next tea adventure.

September 7th through the 14th, they are having a 50% sale, (not all teas are on sale) they do this once a year. They have a wide variety of teas, some conventional, some unconventional. She bought all kinds of teas, but they stopped carrying her favorite, lemon chiffon, which was very disappointing. I also bought this very cool tea cup, with a strainer, which I will take to work for my 2pm cup of tea. The associates are pleasant and helpful. I only get my tea from here.

Lovely place to buy tea and tea supplies. They always have the tea bar open and there is a thorough attention to detail in the things they carry. The openers are also incredibly kind and thoughtful.

First time in and what a great experience. There is a huge selection of teas and the staff was helpful and knowledgeable walking me through the varieties and flavor profiles. A much more personal experience than a chain.

Fantastic tea shop with an excellent product. I have purchased tea here on two occasions: the first for myself, the second time for my sisters recent Bridal Shower Tea Party. At the Shower I received so many compliments on the tea choices. One woman even said: This is the best tea I have ever had. No joke! I also converted a couple of people who previously did not enjoy tea.At the shower we had: Emerald Lily (a green tea), Raspberry Champagne (white tea), Dew Drop Lace (an herbal or tisane). I also highly recommend Purple Rain.Update: I have visited every year, at least once a year since my first review in 2014. Their semi-annual sale and just recently for Christmas. I stand by my first review! Still fantastic tea shop and excellent product!

A huge selection of private label teas. The owner was there and very nice and provided amazing service. I just thought it was overpriced and I had hoped for more hard to find teas but found more flavored teas. If flavored teas are your thing, youll be in heaven, it just wasnt for me.

Tons of different high quality tea varieties here. Its a bit of a trek if you live in the city but its worth it to take a day and stock up. Most of it is loose leaf and keeps for a long time.
