Such a great place to spend your evening. As an avid Pokemon collector, I loved the selection of sealed and single cards they offered. Yeah, their prices are a bit upscaled compared to MSRP, but its not as bad compared to others. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, even helped me out a bit without hesitation. This will be the first card place I will come back to when I vacation here, as it was a pleasure doing business with them :)

Nice place. They have a cafe and a little seating area for the cafe and then they have a seating area for playing Magic and other games and then they have back rooms for other events.

One of my favorite spots in town when shopping local. Im always looking to support the smaller businesses as Im confident thats where its always at.I do def enjoy the setup that they have here, the game rooms in the back are once again opening back up and the coffee shop and treats are always delicious.!I just hit up Free Comic Book Day and also scored some pre-release Pokémon products. Theyre always pulling things together to make sure their customers get the best experience possible, it shows.!Dont think Ill ever stop coming here.

The Barista can make a mean cup of coffee. The food is also good. The displays are fun. The variety is fun. In the past, Ive thought the owner was a little too impersonal considering their stance on community involvement, but a recent experience changed my mind. I have been a fan of Gryphons for 6 years since they were at the old location, and I dont think that will change anytime soon. Prices are reasonable here. Dont expect much in the way of card sleeves or play mats, but board games, more especially comics, are easy to come by. They allow game rentals if youre into that. This place is at least worth coming in and looking around.

An easy win here comics and games, Friday night magic was happening when I was there. Add on that they are located in a coffee shop and this was a pleasantly unique visit!

It was amazing. I was looking for a specific comic and the staff were really eager to help me find it. They looked in multiple shelves and searched on the computer and in the end they found it.The overall Selection is also amazing. There are tons of comics from different franchises, some books, standard board games, card games like Magic the Gathering and ttrpg stuff like D&D or Pathfinder. I also saw they offered a D&D summer camp, which I think is really cool.I didnt eat or drink at the café but it seemed nice and comfortable.In terms of price it was pretty good compared to some other stores I know.In conclusion this store is really awesome and I want to thank again the staff for helping me find my comic.

I have been searching for a copy of Little Nightmares for my 9 year old son since before Christmas. Apparently, the series is no longer being printed. I almost gave up when I found Gryphon online. They had it in stock and for a reasonable price. I ordered it online, to be shipped from their store in Colorado, all the way to Maryland. It arrived within a week! The smile on my sons face was epic! Thank you!!

Went in on a whim a week ago with the tiniest bit of interest in Warhammer 40k. I was immediately accosted by a very friendly employee who kindly answered dozens of questions about the hobby and general information surrounding it. I went home with a starter set and an invitation to Thursday night Warhammer.Of course, having a starter set and beginning to understand the game, I naturally needed more tiny plastic soldiers to wage war against other tiny plastic soldiers. I went back the next day, and this time was apprehended by the same friendly employee who introduced me to yet ANOTHER friendly employee that could also assist me as a resource for Warhammer 40k. Painting, tactics, general team composition, playstyles, cascADES OF information rushing towards me. I went home with more tiny plastic soldiers and paints.At this point, possessing several cadres of compact cooperative crusaders, I began to get a feeling for the types of units that I particularly enjoyed and wanted more of. Naturally, I once again returned to Gryphon. To my great despair, yet ANOTHER friendly employee had learned my name. AFTER A HANDFUL OF DAYS PURCHASING TINY PLASTIC SOLDIERS I WAS REACHING REGULAR CUSTOMER STATUS. Its game over for me, really. I thought I was a cool guy, you know? The slick, suave, charismatic type that does cool-guy stuff like going out to bars, and climbing huge mountains with my sheer herculean strength, and never saying you too when a waiter tells you to enjoy your meal.I mean I never did any of that but wow my life is literally filled with plastic space marines and these very friendly people keep enabling me. I just discovered that I really like tabletop terrain. Guess where I went to get some terrain?Ive lost hundreds of dollars in a week and I couldnt be happier about it, 5/5 lovely place with lovely people.

We went to Gryphon Games to get a specific game for my nephew. They didnt have it in stock but said they could order it and then ship it directly to him. I paid a deposit for the game on Jan 16th and was told the game would arrive in their store within a week and then be shipped out. The employee told me they would email me tracking information once they shipped the game. 2 weeks go by and no emails come. So I called the store on Jan 31 and the employee tells me that theres an employee who does this a lot. He takes orders but never completes them. She apologized, took my credit card info, and processed a return. 3 days later, I still have not been refunded. Thankfully I was able to find the game elsewhere and it will arrive one day after my nephews birthday. Terrible customer service. We like to support small businesses but not when they have horrible service.

If youre looking for a place to spend an afternoon, gryphons is a great choice. They have the option to buy coffee and relax with a boardgame or rent a boardgame and take it home. They have a decent collection of dnd minis, most dnd books, a wide variety of games, Warhammer 40k things and more. Bughly recommend.

This was one of the first places I went after moving to Fort Collins, and Im so happy I went. They have a service where theyll automatically order and hold comics that are new releases for you if you request them. In addition to comics, they have a slick collection of DnD dice and other table top game stuff. Their staff is so kind and make this transplant feel welcome here.

Nice selection and great staff.

I adore this place, their cafe has some of the best coffee and considering my dice obsession their collection is glorious. They also have a lovely assortment of tabletop games, squishable plushies (including a mini cerberus) and a ton of comics.

Its a very large structure and was expecting games galore... they do not have much in the way of inventory. They have a stand for dice, 2 stands with maybe 20 board games (no classics), a DND stand and some comics. We settled for a cribbage set that was not really what we wanted going in but had to make due.

Asked to wear a mask because the Master Wizard was out of town and unable protect staff from COVID.OF COURSE, OUT OF RESPECT I WEAR A MASK!

Gryphons is just a great place to be. The atmosphere is perfect for whatever youre into; Magic the Gathering, D&D, board games, comics, Pokemon or just relaxing in the coffee lounge and spending time with friends or alone working on your school paper. The staff is friendly and completely knowledgeable about all different aspects of the culture. Whether you want to sit and play checkers or try your hand at something a bit more challenging, they have something for everyone.

Great store unfortunately with COVID supply chain is slow to get games back on shelves. Their cafe is still open but only for take out. Store employees are very helpful in finding games even with low inventory.

Overall the store used to be exceptional. I would spend whatever money i could afford to in that location if not on boardgames, then on drinks. Their selection of games was great, the gaming room was spacious and very laid back. Then they moved. I lost an interest to offer patronage or participation when one purchase of a used game got renegotiated at the register. It was listed at 30 dollars for the sticker, then while standing there waiting for them to ring me up they checked ebay for the price they decided they wanted to charge. They informed me that the sticker price was wrong and the price that they had mentioned was the new actual price. I am not sure what the actual term is, price gouging, bait and switch? But it seems like a odd and questionable moral to bump the price at the register. 30 dollars to over a hundred is to me unreasonable. There were imperfections before hand on both sides, and i was willing to forget anything before that. But when it seems they are price adjusting for one specific person it seems like discrimination. I would have given them one star but otherwise they have been reasonable and nice. If a reviewer refuses to be more specific and honest about the experience then ignore them. There are at least 3 one stars who should be removed from the listing.

Gryphons always has a great selection of graphic novels and games. The staff is super knowledgeable and eager to help. And the Pika Pika tea was delicious! Whenever were in Loveland visiting family, my husband and I always stop in!

I love this place. The workers are friendly and inviting. They are very helpful in picking out your next board/card game. The cafe is a nice place to grab a coffee and a baked goods. They also have many rooms to reserve for gaming groups. I went there for a DnD session and enjoyed the atmosphere. I recommend this place to all my nerdy friends.

Love that they have a good selection of Image comics along with Marvel and DC titles. I typically dont read the standard superhero stuff, and Im glad they have less run of the mill stories that are in print. Their board game library idea (check out a board game for a small deposit, to be taken off the purchase price if you want to buy your own)was wildly helpful for me in finding games to buy for friends as gifts. So glad this place exists.

I love this place. Its quaint, cozy, has a great coffee assortment and is also a gamers wet dream shop. Lots of games, comics and accessories as well as multiple large gaming rooms for use. If youre a gamer and looking for a great shop, look no further!

Staff was great. Appears to be a gaming place primarily. Nice selection of Warhammer 40k models and paints. Recent comic releases were displayed prominently and organized by week. Almost a 5 star experience. Id even say 4.5 stars. My only critique follows:Back issues left a bit to be desired. Some were not bagged and boarded. Some were on the floor, and appeared to be disorganized.

This is a great place for a family to come and enjoy a game night together. They have a wide variety of games you can pick up off a used games shelf and play while you sip on some coffee and eat your pretzels.The only problem is the time it takes to get an order at the coffee bar. That said everyone is polite and helpful.They have a D&D night on Saturdays and a ton of experienced DMs to run games. It is a great time and they have a cool system in conjunction with the 5E games they run. Its sort of like an adventure league but a little looser on the rules and rulings. That said, Ive been there plenty of times and really enjoy it a ton.

Dont have very many comics and the back issues arent very organized.

Unfortunately this is fort collins only local shop and they do not sell yugioh cards. ***Updated, I guess this is a bad case bad customer service I called and the employee told me they didnt carry yugioh cards, also there are not any other local card shops in fort collins please name one? Also as I go through the reviews I see lots off bad reviews on customer service wich I unfortunately experienced today, I would look into your staff.

Great selection of awesome games!

I thought they were very hypocritical. They demanded that we wear masks when we are in the store but they themselves are not wearing masks. If masks such a big deal it should be important for them to wear them at all times. Not just when customers are in the store.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff with plenty of rooms to play games with your friends. Coffee and other drinks from the cafe are solid. Only thing keeping Gryphon from 5 stars is the food offerings are limited and they charge $50 if you bring in outside food so its easy to get hungry playing longer games or tournaments.

A jack of all trades nerd shop. Good community, decent coffee and wares. Always have stuff going on if youre into that. As just a shop doesnt always have a great selection of comics, board games, or comics but is a good first place to look for any of those things. If they dont have what you need they can always order it (but at that point you could probably Amazon it). Good local shop, Id recommend anyone interested in games or comics check it out.

Gryphon games has a great selection of games available. Several full-size rooms available for gaming purposes. A medium sized library of comics. A lovely cafe, with couches and seats.

The selection of this game shop is vast and covers most bases for your tabletop and comic book needs, as well as providing a fairly decent selection of nerd paraphernalia.The gaming space is excellent, and the fact that youre able to reserve gaming space on their website is really impressive and very useful.The game rental system is well contemplated, and is a very reasonable price. I havent been to a game shop yet that offers this kind of rental service, and I really hope other game shops that arent doing this yet take note.The cafe area is a great addition, and Im sure is welcome by all customers. I cant imagine there are many game shops where you can get a cup of hot chocolate delivered right to your table. Play with your crew and drinking your brew, you know what I mean? It doesnt hurt that the food and drink prices are pretty decent, too.And lastly, the employees. I never spoke to an employee working the cafe or the game store space that didnt have a smile on their face. The employees here are obviously passionate about their jobs, seeing as its basically their play time too. Every worker here seems to be competently knowledgeable in a variety of different games. If one employee doesnt know much about any given game, they know one of their co-workers who is. They know their merchandise, they love their job, and they love to help.Overall, I would say this is probably the best game shop Ive been to. This place is awesome! Not only is the cafe inside amazing, but the store has an amazing selection. My favorite part is that you can play games there for FREE to see which you enjoy so that you don’t buy a game with no idea of what it is. The staff is amazingly friendly and kind and I look forward going there every week for awesome events!

This store is absolutely fantastic. They have a good selection of pokemon and board games. I like the fact that you can try out pretty much any game they have in store. Their staff is extremely helpful and courteous. They explained a couple of games to me and I ended up buying one. If I lived here in this area I would be a frequent visitor to this store. Its a cool place. Some people come in for the cafe, which is great, others for the fantasy games and graphic novels.Its decent sized with a couple tables outside but not a whole lot of seating.A friend told me that they hold competitions for some of if these games as well as special events.

Ive been coming to Gryphon weekly for the last 6 years to play in their magic tournaments. Over that time, theyve done everything within their power to improve the gaming experience, and their events have grown in size as a result. The owners genuinely care about the players, and have on many occasions altered the way in which they conducted business based on customer suggestions. I believe their staff is unmatched in terms of general product knowledge, helpfulness, and friendliness. I cant say enough about how much I love the store.

Me and my friends went there for D&D, it was really a blast! It was really fun, our Dungeon master was really cool and had an funny and adventurous story, and the store was really cool as well. It was a smart idea to have a comic book shop and an cafe together.

Worst comic book store Ive visited in 30 years of buying comics. I ordered a comic and it took two months for them to tell me they couldnt get it. I called to speak to a manager and he was not only rude but acted like he didnt care that I was frustrated. No worries, luckily I have other options and there are better physical stores and online ones as well. Thanks from a first time customer who will never return!

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the gaming community is top notch. I play Magic here frequently and theres always Standard, Modern, and Draft events to be played on Fridays and Mondays, with a healthy amount of players for every format. They also run Pokemon events that are very popular on the weekends, have a great selection of comics and tabletop games, and a knowledgeable staff to back it all up.

James in particular is one of the nicest people I have the honor of getting knowing. They have treated my own family like it was their own. Its such an amazing place to go, the pumpkin spice latte thing is really good, its doesnt look like pumpkin as its white and I thought it was all cream, it has a bitter but sweet taste. I LOVE THIS PLACE AND I DONT WANT IT TO BE SHUT DOWN

I love to go here for random nerd memorabilia and for a good cup of coffee to help me do homework. One of the baristas, Marina, who is often there is always so nice and easy to talk to, and she makes some awesome drinks! Its a great environment to hang out and play a board game with friends, or just relax and drink a fun themed beverage. I love this place!

Fort Collins is blessed with a few great game and comic stores. Since they opened, Gryphon has provided an open space for people to play, relax, and enjoy their hobbies. The staff is welcoming and helpful. If there is an item that they dont have on their shelves, they will order it in. The cafe has a good selection that will keep you well fed and caffeinated during your time in the store. If you need space for your gaming group, book club, or really any group, they have the tables and areas to accommodate your needs.

This is a great game and comic store, it also has a coffee shop which makes for an awesome gaming atmosphere. The staff are amazingly helpful and the prices are great. They have a reasonably sized comic book selection and will hold specific comics for you when they come out with their comic hub services.

Wow! This place is like a TARDIS! At the front door you see an unassuming coffee storefront. Walk in and there are many spaces play games (borrowed for free) with friends, private party rooms, and an adjacent/connected store. They sell board games, minis, gluten free snacks, and every category of geeky goodness under the sun.
