They are always so nice and you can rent a table n play many different games. I do this before buying them. Would not recommend trying to play a boars game on Friday night Magic because it gets busy.

This place is outstanding. After having a terrible experience with Gryphon my D&D group started coming to Haunted Game for our weekly sessions.They do everything that Gryphon didn’t for us and more. Haunted Game provides a clean, atmospheric place for us to play with reservations available, their coffee and snacks are yummy, their selection of gaming supplies are great, and most importantly, their staff recognize we are loyal customers and we feel welcomed and appreciated for our continued business. A giant plus, they actually have a good, worth-it points system and VIP program!Our party looks forward to many more adventures here!

It has a good variety of gaming equipment, books, and comics. The cafe has nice big tables that can be rented at a reasonable fee and many games you can play while there. They have a variety of coffee, and pizza available as well.

The young man on shift was beyond helpful and kind.The Cafe is terrific and the tables great. I enjoyed learning a new game and dis overnight a new place to enjoy.

I went there to buy the expansion of Wingspan. The store had a wide range of options even though it was a bit smaller than I anticipated. Its a perfect store for boardgames lovers. The gentleman there was helpful and honest. Highly recommend it.

An awesome local game store. They always have plenty of choices for games, including tabletop, board, and trading card games. Their employees have always been kind and are willing to explain any game. I have preordered or simply ordered items through them several times and always got what I wanted in a timely fashion.

This place is amazing. During these hard times, they dont have much space to game on, and I cant blame them. Great selection of games, and accessories. This is my go to when I am in Fort Collins, and I need to get things for my DND game, or some card sleeves. Staff is friendly, and knowledgeable of their products, and LGBTQA+ friendly.

This is a fantastic place for nerds to gather to grab supplies. They have dnd mins, some video games, a variety of rpg books, several sets of gorgeous dice sbd more. This place is more rpg oriented than gryphons, but doesnt have the same comic collection. Their cafe is currently closed, but when its open they have some fantastic drinks, though their food is only okay. Highly recommend this place for a hangout spot!

Had my first date with my boyfriend of four years here. What a great place, open to casual or hardcore board game geeks. Great food and beverage options too and they sometimes have sales on their items. Their Facebook page is worth following. I really, really wish them the best of luck getting through this pandemic-what a great place!

This is the best hobby shop in northern Colorado! They have great hours of operation, they are open early and they close late. The staff are super friendly and they want to help you find what you’re looking for without trying to sell you stuff you’re not into. They have great products that are in stock but more importantly they sell high quality products that support gamers, AND model painters. The employees are a great resource because they know about everything in the store. They always wear masks and offer a free squirt of hand sanitizer. When things go back to normal I would love to hang out and enjoy their cafe. This is the local hobby shop we deserve!We love ya!

Should be a no star option. Rude staff, overpriced scalpers irl. Went in for for a zendikar box, saw some Pokémon cards which I needed for a buddy’s kids birthday this weekend, (because I have a job and can’t get to the stores to scalp the inventory), and walked out paying $170 for a crobat vmax box of Pokémon cards, and a bundle box of mtg. When the guy showed me the Pokémon box, I asked if they were selling at scalpers prices. He responded with “ we’re selling at market prices”, and became offended like a 40+ year old man who still works at a place would. Found multiple boxes of the same for $80 and under online. And a mtg bundle box for $60? Took a break from cards after having a kid, used to come to this place for all of it.Done with haunted.

First time visit. We probably weren’t the typical crew who comes here (two couples in our late 30s) but we had a great time! We love board games. There was a huge selection of both old favorites and fun new ones. You can buy board games or buy a treat/snack and play with the ones they have in their gaming area (we did the second). Food was tasty and the employees were friendly. We had a ton of fun! Highly recommend.

I legitimately have to set a monthly spending budget specifically for this place because of how many awesome things are here.Theres a café section and a shop section to this place, and both are awesome. The drinks are delightfully creative and unique, and delicious too. The stuff available in the shop is varied and with much personality, despite the limited selection due to physical space limits. They even have figurines you can paint for D&D sessions, a box you can normally pull random Magic the Gathering cards from, and tons of eclectic dice ranging from small to large sets. Not to mention, all the tabletop games available such as Betrayal at House on the Hill and several of its expansions, Exploding Kittens, and Arkham Horror + expansions.There are a couple of games you can usually grab from the shelves of varying difficulty and complexity, to sit down and try with friends while having a themed drink. All in all, an excellent time.

Fun! It has lots and lots and lots of board games like Dominion, Azul, Birds, Munchkin, etc. And it has a large place to play and munch during non-covid times; a little more restricted now with Covid. Parking is available and if you want something other than what they serve at the cafe, theres an Asian restaurant next door thats fabulous.

Best selection of dice, RPG books, miniatures, and paints in town.Two years later, now living in a different state, I stand by my original review. The Haunted Game Cafe was one of the best parts of my experience living in Fort Collins. And Im sure my players there would say the same, seeing as the stores merchandise often graced our table. (Observe the dusty D20 purchased from HGC and rolled vigorously on our Rocky Mountain camping trip.)

I was hunting for a rare set of Arkham cards, and tried ordering from several places, but I had bad luck every place else. However, when I made an order from The Haunted Game Cafe, they had it out to me before the weekend was out, and Im all the way in Brooklyn! Im really glad to have made a purchase from someones friendly neighborhood game store, even if they arent in my neighborhood. As a cafe - As good as any other cafe in town. Good selection / prices / environment.As a board game store - Perhaps a tad pricey, but for a local business, theyre pretty good. Excellent selection and helpful employees.As a place to PLAY games and hang out - Handily the best Ive seen. Wonderful spaces and free games to try. Haunted Game Cafe is always my first pick when it comes to organized play (Magic the Gathering Pre-Release).The people who work there clearly like their place of employment and it shows. Their bathrooms are clean, their show floor is nice, always friendly service.If you need a board game but arent sure what to get, head to Haunted Game Cafe. If you like to play Magic the Gathering (or want to get back into it), check out their events. Stores like this one are a real gem.

We love this place so much! They have an excellent assortment of games as well as accessories like dice, playing mats, and card sleeves. The cafe serves excellent coffee an assortment of snacks. The best part is the selection of board games. Seriously, they have almost one of everything you can play at one of several tables. Theyll also let you do homework there.

The board game library selection is outstanding. Ive stopped in for a good cup of a tea and a solo game and have brought the whole family to play kid-friendly games. Weve always had a good time, and our most recent family, both of the gals working behind the counter were super nice.

The place I take my boys to enjoy a game.. this is the spot I take my boys when ever we want to just sit and play. The people are great the tables are great and the free car washes next door until Christmas arent bad either.. we go and play when ever we need to get out and about. Cafe has cool drinks and they actually dont bother you when you come and play your own games. Great selection of new games and usually have the latest but the cafe and their selection of games to try make it the place we want to go to. Not to mention they actually treat my son who sometimes doesnt like social interactions as friend and a person. Great people great place.

They always have games or items for games that the other places don’t seem to have, for less of a price. Amazing little hole in the wall, definitely should check out.

Love the Magic the Gathering events. Great regulars to game with! 1st time there I felt welcome and at home. I always look forward to a weekend of unwinding and hanging out with other MtG players. This is not only the best store in town for board games, card games (MtG, Pokemon, etc.), and miniatures, they also offer a full-service cafe. The drinks are great, pizza and treats are available, AND they dont mind you bringing in outside food of you crave something they dont offer.The cafe space also offers free game rental to test out various board games that they have on hand. They do ask that someone at your table buy something, but grab a dozen cookies to share and youre set for a great afternoon.They host various events through the week, including Magic the Gathering drafts, tournaments, and casual play as well as Dungeons and Dragons Adventure League and other games.The staff at Haunted Game is always friendly and knowledgeable and seem genuinely excited and interested in the games and their customers. A lot of sales floor space but not so much play area space. Tables are all first come first serve unless the business wants to kick you off for events. Prices are really good and the food part is a nice touch. The staff cant answer any business question seems to refer everything to emailing the owner. CLEAN AND SMELLS GOOD. Which is a lot more then some other place lol.

Its a great little spot if you wanna grab your favorite boardgame and sit down with friends and play it. They have lots of options for things to try and versions in the store to purchase if you like it enoughThe food is pretty okay. The coffee is pretty good, but the selection of tabletop stuff is absolutely amazing. They are starting to expand in other directions too, so I recommend you stop by and feed your gaming addiction

Fort Collins has a couple game cafes now and this is always my favorite to visit when Im in town. They have a good coffee menu, its bring your own food (great Chinese restaurant next door, if you need ideas), excellent game selection, no table fee, lots of available staff, and lots of events. Theres usually a fair amount of people but Ive never had trouble getting a table. I like that they let you choose your table. Some games require a lot of space, even if theres just 2 of you playing. The cafe tends to be warm so dress appropriately and buy lots of drinks to support this awesome establishment.

Awesome place! Went on a Sunday afternoon to have a tasty drink and play a new game. They have a lot of fun games to choose from, and we ended up staying for 4 or 5 hours. Definitely planning on going back. Should be a great outing on stormy winter days - some hot drinks and fun games indoors.

I live in Wyoming, about 80 miles from the cafe. Their online ordering is extremely easy, albeit a tad slow, but has earned my loyalty as worth the drive if my LGS doesnt have what Im looking for. They have very good selection of many modern staples, and have a clean and well structured shop. Staff is always very friendly, and is willing to work with ya to get you what you need.

A couple years ago my wife spilled full cup of soda all over the game and table we were playing. Huge mess, totaled the game, the table probably wont ever be the same. How did the owner react? He got her another italian soda. And when I offered to pay for damages, he said not to worry about it, that they plan for situations like this. So yeah, amazing customer service. The environment and idea behind it all is also unique enough to bring customers from out of town, like me, back. Highly recommend it as a date night if you live anywhere in NE Colorado.
