Dominic works the register but I feel as if hes the Owner. So knowledgeable and willing to help and educate me on an issue with my bike that was making noise out of the blue.Educated me on how my gears function and that my left gears and right ones were set on 2 extremes that was causing slight rubbing with the metal. Anyone else wouldve probably said give me 10 minutes and ill fix it. Change the gear level and show me its fixed and probably charge $10 or whatever if they were a deceiving shop.When I asked how much do I owe him he said Charge you. No way! Its my pleasure to help you! He didnt charge me. I wanted to buy something so I purchase some lubricant for my bike and he asked how often I ride and recommended I lubricate it once a week and showed me how to do it.I wont take my bike anywhere else.This is My Spot from now on.Plus! The owner of the store puts his projects in front of your, I just cane to pick up my bike that they’ve been working on for multiple months and they closed before the closing time. The door says closing at 7pm on Monday-fri and I was there at 6:43 on a Wednesday.

Dominic was incredibly helpful and engaging. I bought a used Cannondale for a discounted price and it is amazing! I love it so much! They helped me discover what size bike best fits me and what my particular purpose was for riding. They have an amazing selection. I am glad I was able to find an affordable bike quickly.

First time i ever went there and the mechanic was not in that day and the owner went out of his way at the end of the day to repair my bike! I really needed the bike to get to and from work and as soon as i bought it it broke. To the owner THANK YOU SIR! I have gotten to and from work safely and my gears are perfectly aligned i am soo happy thankful and grateful for the compassion professionalism concern above and beyond service and expertise work. Above all you never knew me or saw me before but saw that i was in a tough spot and you treated me like a brother and fixed my bike when everyone else said it would be a week you did it in 30 min and you were completely booked. Price gouging at it’s finest. My initial visit was ok when I drop my 2 bicycle off for a inner tube replacement and tighten my brakes when I returned I had three times the initial cost with no notification. Poor people skills and insult to injury he told be he gave me a deal $161.00 to replace two inner tubes and adjust brakes.

My husband and I went into the store today and received excellent customer service from the sales representative that helped us. We didnt buy anything because we just happened to see the store liquidation sign and went in to check out the merchandise, but we are definitely returning. I loved the inventory and cant wait to return.

My bike was truly mangled and the frame so bent that others said it was not possible to fix. I went to this shop and they reviewed it and said they can do it. Derek said with confidence he can do it but he needs time to do it. And he did they came through with fixing my frame and replacing the breaks, seat, chain and gears. Dont go anywhere else. This is the best bike shop around.

I’d like to subtract the one star I had to give to give a review. Over a decade of living in FTL I’ve tried over and over of giving them a chance. The staff is constantly rude from the sales representative and especially the mechanic. Attempting to purchase a bike and felt more like I was dealing with a used car salesmen from the 1970s. I was also blamed for the tire going flat on my test ride. Mechanic is dismissive and after trying to purchase a bike was told they couldn’t fit me for the bike. Oh and one day the bike was one price and the following day the price was increased. The owner seems to not know or just does not care that their staff is unwelcoming and rude. Mind you this is after several visits over the past ten years. And my final.

I dont normally write google reviews ever, but I feel compelled to write this one to urge you to never do business with this bike shop. Not only is there staff super rude - especially Dominic, but they also do not practice fair business, in other words are scammers. For example, they will take your bike in for a simple fix and will do things to it without asking you and then expect you to pay a price that is twice the original amount that was agreed upon. Overall, there are way nicer bike shops in south florida than this lame excuse for one, so save your money and time and spend it elsewhere.

Horrible service, asked for specific bar tape. Was very clear with what I was looking for, they said they stocked the item. I drove 45 minutes for them to say no we don’t have it. Not professional at all complete waist of time. Do not recommend any pro athlete or anyone taking cycling serious to come here.

I have been shopping for bicycles from this store since 2000 and the service and quality of bikes has not changed. Overall, customer service is amazing and unbeatable. Karen and Gabrielle worked with me for a new bike i am getting now. They were both extremely patient, i actually worked with Karen initially on the first purchase and then returned the bike after buying and they took it back no problem and helped me with a one that was better suited for me. They both have tremendous knowledge on these bikes way beyond what any novice might only know and i am sure comparable to any pro out there. Over the years i have bought stuff from them from the special riding sneakers to parts for my bike. Almost forget the guys who work on the service of the bikes, very cool and knowledgeable too.

I’ve had a terrible experience at Big Wheel Cycle. First I found the same exact bike 2 blocks down at Conte for $100 cheaper. I have 2 kids so I had to purchase one bike at Conte and one at Big Wheels. I had Big Wheels put on the training wheels. They told me they couldn’t put on the training wheels because it was about to be closing time (which is fine). After calling for 6 days and every day them saying “yep I think you’re next but we will call you when it’s ready.” No one ever called to say they were delayed or they needed to order the wheels. I’m stuck in quarantine and was hoping to get my kids biking. After 8 days I returned to pick up the bikes I had my 2 young children with me and no one even helped me get both bikes out the door and to the car. I struggled in the parking lot until an employee came outside and saw me and came to help. We had a bike ride play date set up in the park and when we get home and my child goes to ride the bike and the training wheels were not put on properly so the bike fell on top of her twice. Took the bike to Conte and they immediately took it in the back and said the training wheels were put on wrong. The plastic that covers the chain broke so now it’s exposed. The bell I bought for $15 was ruined. The reflector light broke off. I took it back to Big Wheels and they said “well the reflectors are ugly anyways and I’d take them all off. It looks a lot cleaner without that plastic decorative covering now.” He said he would glue the light back on and at my request he said he would call and see about new plastic but probably not possible. Then said it would take 3 days to get the training wheels off. I will never go back!

The Man Behind the Counter dealing with the bicycles in fixing the bicycles something was not right with him he made me very uncomfortable he kept getting my orders wrong, when I try to tell him I already paid for it he wouldnt believe me he went up to the front anyways even after the front guy said I had paid he still tried the challenge the guy, which was his own employee like I said something was not right with the man. Although the man in the front was very fair and very nice. Clean store good selection of merchandise,!!!! Beautiful bicycles for sale even Electric.

I had a great experience at this store! Everyone was very helpful. I purchased my first bike here and Karen really helped me out. She measured me for my bike and explained a lot to me as I was new to cycling. They had a great selection of bikes and accessories there. The staff there shared their biking experiences with me and have been overall very friendly! I would and have recommended this shop to friends!

VERY PLEASED!Recently purchased a bike from Big Wheel since I wanted something more lasting and durable than the mass market bikes you can buy at any large retail chain and had a very positive experience. Did my research trying to find a good bike shop and lucked out when a friend highly recommended that I check this place out. Unfortunately, Im quite picky and difficult to please. Nevertheless, the sales team was very helpful and understanding of my needs, and took several hours helping me choose a bike most conducive for my lifestyle. Moreover, I needed various accessories, and they had a wide variety of high quality and reasonably priced options available. The ambiance is very cool and laid back, and the staff is very knowledgeable. They even delivered my bicycle straight to my apartment! Love my new bike and very happy with the the whole experience.

Went to purchase two Cannondale bikes on 4/24. One of the rudest, could be bothered type sales representative encountered all day while shopping around. Too bad they lost 1100$ sale to a great shop in Hollywood Lee’s Bikes. Go there instead!!

This is a very good bikes shop. I just bought a new Scot bike from them. I had to have some changes made on the bike so it fits me. Man they realy know what they are doing. Every thing that I needed, they had it. They where well up to the job. To make eney and all the changes that I needed to make the bike fit me. There game is tight.

The worst experience ever. They went ahead and replace a part on my bike without my authorization. There was nothing wrong with it or my fork before I brought my bike in for a simple tune up and They dont commit to their schechudule. Very unreliable. I wouldnt trust my bike to these people even if they offered a free service...

I went in here for an incredibly minor issue with my chain brushing against the derailleur in a couple gears. Had them fix it and paid the ten dollars. (The mechanic was a middle aged white guy.) Suddenly my bike cant shift between certain gears and the grinding is worse. I go back in six times, over half an hour or so, and he cant fix the damage hes caused. Finally he turns it over to his boss. (A middle aged Asian man.) He cant fix it either and tries telling me Im shifting wrong. No, I had no issues with shifting whatsoever before walking in there. He offers a refund, which I take, then stands by his comments. Seems like the only thing these folks can shift is blame. I may have gotten a refund but my bike is in far worse shape than when I entered.

After visiting this store several times I have decided to make this my home base store. The manager is always helpful and not trying to push you into a sale. If she does not know the answer she will get it trust me. I have purchases small items to get my bikes up and going along with clothing and nutritional stuff to take along with me on the extended rides.There inventory on bikes is second to none.. I am a very happy camper with this store and with the other on federal..Both locations are stellar but for me this sunrise store is just my fit..

I would not recommend this store because of the tech repair staff. I brought my recumbent in for some standard lubrication work. They refused to work on it because it is electric. The bike has a mid drive motor independent of the hubs and cranks; nothing they would have had to deal with. Ive had many traditional shops do work on this bike. Ive found that shops that really care about bikes have a certain positive problem-solving attitude. The lead tech at this store does not have this attitude; his was more new york cabbie. Called Trek when I got home; described the bike and what I needed and they said, no problem, bring it in. The Trek shop is just down the street from Big Wheel Cycles--call them first.

Sadly this store LACKS serious customer service. We walked into this store around 3pm and there was one person checking out. The female behind the counter looked up and NEVER greeted, acknowledge NOTHING!!! My son and I browsed the mountain bikes for about 20 minutes and still no acknowledgment. WOW!! Very sad. Not sure how long this place can stay in business with that type of service.My son saw two bikes he liked but i would NEVER buy from an establishment with such POOR sales staffing.Hope they can get their act together because ploosing out on a few $1500 plus sales cant be good!!!Heading out West to Rock and Road bikes across from Markham Park in Sunrise.

I rented a great road bike (Cannondale Synapse) for a week and give a five-star performance to Karen and her crew. I usually travel with my own bike, but the quality, support and price offered by Big Wheel Cycles make it a no-brainer to do business with this shop.

I went there to purchase a bike, they talked to me about different models and even let me ride them around the parking lot. I found the bike I wanted and they adjusted it to fit me perfectly. That was 5 years ago. Ive brought my bike back for maintenance and repairs and they are always quick and cheap.

The owner is homophobic and transphobic. She frquently discriminates against LGBT persons by making inappropriate comments. She is not a nice person.

They always do a great job and are competitively priced in sales and service.

Called on a Sunday Afternoon to ask about their inventory. Got a very plesant and very very helpful associate named Karen on the phone, I told her what I was looking for and she explained to me their types of bicycles and how the price ranges varied. Even after I explained to her that I had been in the process of purchising a bicycle from another store and was haveing issues she still remained on the phone to help me with the problems i was having with the other store I was dealing with. She didnt try to steal the sale or slander the other company at all she was just interested in helping me and providing excellent customer service.
