Amazing place. Owner is very friendly and the amount of books they have is great. Place is extremely beautiful and is a really nice place to just hang out + look at books.

FLORIDA BOOK LOVERS,a little bit of heaven lays beside a storefront church in south Broward County: a seriously curated and welcoming second-hand book shop with glass-door cabinets and open shelves that climb to the skies. Old Florida is not about mass-market paperbacks, but does keep a few shelves of James Patterson hardcovers on a bargain rack. Many titles come from all over the world, and I was tempted during my first five minutes inside by French novels, a biography of Henry Adams, and an Oxford University press book on giants of mid-20th century writing who were heavily Irish born. Judging by the clerk working at a photo station, Old Florida does a serious Internet business. But the distinctive pleasures here are tactile and wonderfully analog.

This place is a hidden gem and is a must visit if you come to Ft. Lauderdale. Swing in and grab a book to read on the beach after you land! You won’t regret visiting!

This place is great. The people that work here are great. This is one of the few bookstores in Florida that you can actually purchase Folio Society and Easton Press editions. Theres quite the number of other beautiful and rare texts. Be ready to be stunned (and maybe have an aching neck from looking up with your mouth open lol) Strongly recommend!

It was my first time there today and it was a beautiful experience, they have all kids of books, I love specially the antique books. Absolutely love it, I took my granddaughter there as she was the one who found it.

Worthy....A real bookstore, rare books, hard to find books, tall organized shelves, a real library ladder, eclectic, in strip mall hard to find no signage...just gps and know its the side by the billboard, good prices for what the book are....ephemera...

Definitely an unexpected experience based on the outside of the building, I spent nealy an hour looking at three small shelves! Rules are posted, and books prices are written on the first white page in each book.

Lovely place, filled to the brim (and then some!) With All kinds of books. Definitely the place to take your favorite bibliophiliac. Specializes is antique, but with some more recent thrown in as well. Something for everyone.

Unbelievable book store!! I found everything I am interested in...and then some! The smell alone of old books and wood kept me captivated for quite some time not to mention the layers of books they have hidden in the shelves. Picked up these beauties while I was there, we will definitely be regulars..

Youve got to check this place out. You would never expect this little gem where it located. Unassuming entrance but walk in and your in a classic bookstore straight out of Olde England. Beautiful wood detail, stretching high up, wooden ladders to access books. Great selection of used and classic books. It is a tight space however.

What a hidden treasure for book lovers! Tons of books from all generations and genres. Peaceful place and helpful people.

Thus place can be inundating, but its definitely an exploratory journey. Call ahead or fingers crossed you get lucky and theyre open.

This is a hole in the wall thats hard to see from the street but worth it to find. The collection the owner had managed to amass is amazing and the atmosphere hes created is beyond anything Ive seen. Its beautiful and definitely a place for any book lover to visit. Additionally, the owner is very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. We love in Georgia, but well absolutely be back.

Very nice bookstore to wander and explore. Very clean and inviting. I love the staff recommendations and helpful comments on the books. Next time I will have to check out the huge basement travel section. The only drawbacks are narrow aisles, and that it can be somewhat difficult to find a specific book or author without a staff member.

Enjoyable bookstore that I stopped at on my day off work. I am a fan of old and rare books. Love the atmosphere and would recommend it to other book lovers.

I came looking for a Philosophy book for a friend and I felt in love with this place. The smell is a reminder of old times where time slows down and seeking knowledge and getting immerse in a book was an everyday task. This is not for the masses this is for the book and history lover. A beautiful antique book store with tall library shelves that are packed three deep with literary treasures! Featured sections include Childrens, World History, Westerns, Fiction (genres are mixed in), Philosophy, Art, Cooking, Antiques, and old prints. Prices are appropriate for the amazing condition of these old books!

This is a gem of a store! You could spend hours browsing and everyone is super friendly and helpful. This has become my favorite store IN Florida!

It is really a amazing place. Addicts readers and book lovers, like me, could, easily, expend all their lives in there. All the best classics of world literature, on their best versions and exquisite bindings; rare books; wonderful historic maps, etc. All this in a very organized, beatiful, and pleasant exquisite environment, and with great background music.The owner was friendly and has a figure that matches the ambience, completing the set.There is a parking lot in front, with parking spaces reserved for the customers of the bookstore.To top it all, there were not crowds of people inside the store, no queues, no salespeople bothering you to try to sell you something else. Rather, I felt completely comfortable to explore the stores collection carefully and with ease.I plan to return there every time I come back to Fort Lauderdale.
