Banana Bread French Toast!!! Foodie Alert!!! Absolutely Amazing! The Bloody Mary is top notch with choose your own Vodka and fixing. In all things dining, the staff makes the experience! This locatibs crew are so in tuned, helpful and organized! The atmosphere is casual and low-key upbeat. Great job!!!
I really love it here! The atmosphere is great, they have a lot of unique drinks, and the food has a mix of classic meals and experimental options. There really is something for everyone. A great option for a brunch after a night out or a casual place to grab a bite. Theyre also pet friendly, which is a great plus!
Super relaxing and peaceful ambiance. I sat outside and they had fans that also sprayed mist so that was a plus. I got the LAVENDER EARL GREY LATTE which had french vanilla, lavender, earl grey tea, and I use oat milk and the BANANA BREAD FRENCH TOASThousemade mango compote, maple syrup, coconut butter, vanilla whipped cream.I also got a refresher to go.
The restaurant is nicely located and the decor is great. We were greeted nicely and the waiter was great. I would have given 5 stars except for the seat they gave us was in direct sunlight, they messed up on the order, and they were out of some of the famous sides. Overall, I would give them another try because what we did get was delicious.
Hubby and I stumbled across this place when we decided to go on a morning walk! Yummy! We sat outside which was beautiful, service was great and fast! We had their dirty chai lattes with almond milk and fresh OJ, delicious! I went light and had their coconut chia pudding and a side of thick cut bacon (really wished they had a chicken sausage option) very very good and light! Hubby had their breakfast tacos and he loved them! Great quality, and freshness! Well be back!
This place looks nice but falls short of what it promises to deliver. It feels like a big box store diner totally devoid of character. It has a weird dreary vibe like no one was really happy to be working there or be eating there. Which raises a bunch of other questions. The coffee and order counter is ok and the plastic wrapped, plastic boxed and overly sweetened blueberry muffin was blah. The red eye latte hasn’t kicked in yet but it tastes good so far. I’ll probably wait until a friend suggest to come here to try the food and service.
Been many times, and pretty consistent every time. So bravo to the overall success of the business. On the other hand, until now I hadn’t had good service except from Flo. She alright, but Matt’s better. So… ask for Matts section, he’s the best I’ve had there. Attentive, on top of things, ask the right questions when you order, etc.You never have to ask for things with him. That’s what I want when I go out.. if you do as-well, as for Matt. Thanks Matt, great job on your 3rd serving shift. Will be back.
Such a cute location. The food is wonderful. I definitely recommend the Tomato Bisque appetizer. Sit inside or out, the decor is fabulous either way. The baristas are so friendly and talented. If theres a wait, head inside and order a coffee!
Food, drinks, service. Such a great atmosphere. In the summer, the patio is windy and no flys! I’m a local it’s such a great vibe. Good music, prices are easy. Flow is definitely my favorite. She has a good soul. This place makes me happy.
Terrific indoor and outdoor space. Im not sure how long Java & Jam has been here, but Im disappointed in *myself* for just now finding it. Had breakfast this morning, and they found a way to make a healthy mans oatmeal absolutely delicious! Definitely going back next chance I have.
Daughter’s request after ‘finding it on Google’ as a breakfast placeNo reservations so you have to put your name on the list once you’re thereGood thing is they have an online thing where you can check your status for updates and it notifies you when you’re readyBad thing is there were clearly people who were seated as regulars- oh wellTook awhile for the waitress to get our drinks and get our ordersShe was friendly & nice but not sure how many tables she hadTook more than expected to get the actual foodEveryone liked what they got- egg sandwich, avocado toast, pancakes & BenedictNothing mind-blowingI always feel like breakfast places and diners are all pretty much similar.Do not feel that this place is worth our drive and wait.If my daughter wants to go back- it probably won’t be with me…
Cute place in the city for brunch. Ask for a table outside if they have one available, its really nice out there. It rained a little during our visit and it was great to see that they had shades that came down to protect the customers on the patio. Our waitress was nice and somewhat attentive. The only thing that worried me with her is that she kept going to touch this dog that was out there on the patio and I wasnt sure if she was washing her hands between each time shed pet it. HOPEFULLY, she was though.Food was great. Everybody at my table was happy with their meal. I would visit this place again.
What a great place to have lunch and a nice coffee! The food here tastes like its been made with love, paying attention to every ingredient. The portions are very generous, and there are so many delicious sides to choose from to go with your sandwich! I loved the detail of the different jams in the cute jars. Ill be coming back often.
The Java & Jam spot is great sit-in Cafe. The atmosphere is really good as well. Very comfortable seatings, pretty spacious. The food is good too, also the customize alcohol drinks. The staff is really friendly, very organize and makes it helpful to understand the menu. Ill definitely be going back.
Stopped in for breakfast one morning, great spot with a cute outdoor seating area. Was disappointed to find out when I ordered the French toast that it was actually banana bread French toast. Maybe I missed that part on the menu but even so it didnt taste like the banana bread was dipped in egg batter and cooked like French toast. It was good but probably wouldnt get that again. The scrambled eggs tasted like they had cinnamon sprinkled on them and looked like they did as well.. not sure why??? The salted caramel latte was good but I think just a regular old cappuccino would have been better. Ill definitely give it another try and have something different.
It’s hard for me to write this review since once in awhile you will get lucky and have a perfect breakfast here….unfortunately in the last several months usually will you will be disappointed…. Very simple things like not toasting your toast… getting you the wrong egg order etc. seem to become a daily habit here. I think it has to do with what shift you come since sometime the food is perfect and sometimes it’s so wrong. (Lately much more wrong then not). And be careful about complaining that the toast was not toasted or things like that… some of the waiters take it very personally and might ask you to leave….. The coffee here is very good but otherwise unfortunately I will be taking a break from coming here even though I live right in the area.
While a brunch restaurant is perfect for this area and the food is good, the staff is not well trained and they are disorganized. They are young and friendly but not attentive. The last two visits have required me to walk inside and flag down the staff to get them to be attentive and provide service. A little training could go a long way here.
Been many times, and pretty consistent every time. So bravo to the overall success of the business. …
I highly recommend this lovely restaurant. I had the best omelette I’ve ever had! Egg white omelette with bacon avocado and cheddar - simply delicious. Also gluten-free toast and it’s. Sunday morning is the best time to come here as far as I’m concerned. No traffic. The service is impeccable! I’ll be back every week.
In town visiting my sister for a week and this was the best food I had. Waitress was very patient with all our questions. The coffee menu is confusing, as they label certain drinks as coffee but they dont actually have any coffee in them - so be very aware of that when reading the menu! Otherwise, food was fantastic - pancakes were huge, herb biscuit benedict was delish, banana bread showing off that coconut pairing, and that grilled artichoke in the grains and greens salad was phenom (wish there was more)! Drinks were very good in the end, if not a little pricey once you had to add a shot of espresso to one of those coffee ones that didnt actually contain coffee (yeah, Im a little salty about it I guess). Atmosphere was really nice. Looking forward to another visit next time Im in town.
Amazing atmosphere. Very environmentally conscious. I got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich that was a flavorful play on the original but was artisinal. The banana coconut bread was flavorful and moist. Definitely coming back to try other things.
I went to Java & Jam for a quick brunch date with my friend. The restaurant decor is gorgeous, very clean, huge outdoor patio as well. Our waiter was very pleasant as well and we received quick service.I order a iced latte with caramel as well as the BLT Bagel (on an everything bagel). It was soo good. I ordered my eggs over hard which was perfect because the sandwich was exactly how I wanted it to be. The hash brown was pretty good too. Very flavorful with different seasonings. I mostly was in the mood for something savory which is why I ordered eggs but I tried my friends meal too which was just as delicious. She ordered the banana bread french toast. It was the perfect amount of sweetest. This is very cute establishment with great food!! Check it out if you can!
One of our favorite spots on Los Olas. I gave 4 stars only because the wait can be very long. But the food is worth it. Really fresh.
Very unfortunate experience today. Our food simply never came. When we alerted our waitress about our need to catch a flight she debated that our wait time was 22 minutes and not 33 (which it was). As fate would have it a customer seated at the service bar next to us received his full breakfast after just sitting down a good 20-25 minutes after us. Server simply forgot to put in our order and her and management refused accountability for it. They were kind enough to not charge us for coffee or tea we had but made no attempt to apologize or welcome us to come back another time and make things right. Maybe they do enough business that a simple issue like this is easily dismissed.
My neice wanted to go to Java&Jam for breakfast...we liked the food but they didnt have ice when we arrived...midway our stay they gave us ice.
Overall food is pretty good for breakfast but frozen hash browns and so so breads knock it down a little in my ratings
This place is great. The food looks and tastes deliciousThe staff is quick and efficient when it comes to seating and bringing out the food
Just wow, this is one of, or should I say best breakfast place I have been. Everything is fresh and the place is so clean and well kept. Next time Im in florida visiting and Im close, I will have to go there
I don’t like writing negative reviews. But this place deserves one. Three times in a row my wife and I have had a terrible service experience. This last time after being seated in a pretty empty restaurant so they were not slammed, we sat waiting for nearly 20 minutes to get a table. Staff kept walking past us seeing us and yet not helping us. We over heard a waitress say she did not want our table. My wife and I are nice people, we never did or say anything that would warrant a response like that.No one even took our order or brought water for nearly 20 minutes. They were empty not packed. One of the servers said she did not want our table! Really? Why? My wife and I are polite, not rude, we are quiet not loud, so why did she say she did not want our table? It placed us in a very uncomfortable position. We literally did nothing to anger her. Actually my wife and I were quiet on our phones working minding our own business waiting to be helped and after nearly 20 minutes we lost patience because it’s always the same thing at this place. Staff is rude.We live a 1 minute walk from this place and we occasionally have business meetings here and every single time we come here it is an unpleasant experience because of the service.
The food was fantastic. Really enjoyed it, and they were able to accommodate my gluten allergy. Will definitely be coming back next time were in town.
Lovely atmosphere. Eggs Benedict is the star of this place. Also had an omelet with my choice of filling which was good as well.
I went on a Saturday around 9am and they didnt seem too busy but we were likely the start of the second rush. Once we were sat we waited 20 minutes for a server to see us after taking care of tables they sat after us. Finally I ordered a cold-brew coffee and the herb biscuit hollandaise because they looked pretty good on IG. I havent had hollandaise in a while but it was pretty tasty and the coffee was just ok. I expect that of the coffee though since its cold brew. I think overall the price point is great for the portion size and flavor of the food. Service was alright after the initial wait but I was pretty turned off at the start.
Will NEVER go back. This place is a disorganized mess and the staff have no clue. We went in to grab breakfast before heading to the airport. We arrived ay 1030am with plans to be out by 11:30am. The waitress took our simple order: eggs on toast and an omelette with bacon. 33 minutes later and our food still wasnt brought to us yet a man sat down next to us 15 min after we sat down and had his pancakes and bacon and was eating it already. I asked the waitress to cancel and she tried to make excuses that some food takes longer than others etc. The place was at about 40% capacity and well staffed. She obviously forgot to put our order in but refused to admit fault or even apologize. The manager got involved and canceled the order. I would not recommend this place because after all that there was no apology or remorse fore the errors. There are way to many restaurants that provide good service for me to go back her and give them a 2nd chance. I honestly have received better service at Dennys.
The food is incredible. Cool atmosphere and great customer service.
The food is incredible. Everyone enjoyed their dish.
The food is incredible. Cool atmosphere and great customer service.
Tried Java & jam for Sunday breakfast. All.i can say is we found a new and wonderful breakfast spot to go to quite often
Looked like a really fun place to eat with a good atmosphere. Unfortunately, the hostess must have written down my phone number wrong. We were told we had a 20-30 minute wait. We waited 40 minutes (since sometimes it takes a bit longer—it was a busy Sunday morning) before realizing something must be wrong. By that time, we no longer had time to wait anymore and eat as we had a flight to catch. Such a bummer. We never received the text, nor did the hostess ever call our name. I’d like to suggest the hostess reading your phone number back to you to ensure that they are texting the right number for your reservation.
First time eating here. Was initially excited about the place until we figure out how bad the service was. Waited 10 minutes for a tea, and additional 20 minutes for food which was just ok. Never felt we were taken care of by anyone. One waitress to take our order, someone else to deliver the food and yet another to bring the check. Never to offer a refill on our coffee or tea. Mind you, the place wasnt even to capacity. Too bad, thought we found a gem. Turned out to be a disappointment 😢 first and last time....too many great places to eat in this town..PS local res
Well, a waitress is very good, very professional but another is useless .... she takes your order but does not place it, so you wait, you wait and you wait again. It was calm however this morning. however please ask your coffee supplier to check the coffee grind and teach you how to do this. The espresso was very, very sour. I would not come back for the espresso coffee..2 sour coffees + small orange Juice...11 $
Don’t recommend! They are soooo slow. Waiting 1 hr for food is unacceptable!
The food was good. Wasn’t great but definitely had some flavor. I had the banana bread French toast. Which is basically banana bread cut in portions. It was definitely not what I expected but it was okay. Our server was Harisson. He was amazing !!! His services was excellent, he had A ton of tables but yet still managed to greet us, bring us our waters and food in ample time. If you go there, definitely ask for Harrison as your server. Even the hostess told us we were in good hands. He was very sweet and definitely made the experience worth coming back. You can tell that he takes pride in what he does and even waited for the food to be served to us to ask us how did everything look. He was one of the best servers I have ever had and my husband and I will definitely be coming back just because of the experience that he gave us. Java and Jam if you see this review, please give him a raise ❤️
Fabulous food and awesome service. Very nice outdoor seating. Would absolutely recommend. We enjoyed the loaded avocado toast, banana bread french toast, breakfast sandwich, cheesy grits, and nice morning cocktails.
Flo was perfection ❤️ The hostess was wonderful. Food, atmosphere was amazing.
The herb Benedict and bevel sandwich were both good. The Benedict was a nice sized portion. I also had a cappuccino and took a cold brew to go. The cold brew was a little bitter so not my favorite part of the meal. The service was helpful, quick, and friendly.
Nice service and good food. There’s a good amount of tables outdoors and well as in. You can stop in for a coffee or tea, or sit down for a bite.I had the salmon Benedict and the grapefruit brûlée, which were both okay but a little lacking. The Benedict was a little too salty, even without consuming a great deal of capers, and the grapefruit is simply a grapefruit with sugar glaze. Still an enjoyable meal for locals and downtown tourists alike.
They doesn’t do a reservation. It is not ok to wait 40-50 mins to be seated especially when you are with kids. We planned our vacations beforehand and planned breakfast it this place with 2 kids (and they can not wait). This place didn’t take reservations and we spent some time to get there and then we were told that waiting time for 4 persons will be 50 mins. I do not think this place is client-oriented and wait 1 hour to have morning coffee is ok. I wouldn’t recommend it and won’t return again.
Banana bread French toast was phenomenal well worth multiple visits.
Went there for breakfast. The French toasts are anything but a real French toast!, it’s a banana cake covered with a mango jelly and some whipped cream -extremely sweet!. The cappuccino was ok, the mug was dirty at first but they change it right away and were very helpful and nice, so the service is really good.
Menu should be posted outside because the wait is long. Yes we tried the QR code but not able to see the full menu. We ordered to go gave our name and waited outside to be called. No one called our name. After 30min of waiting we went to ask for our food. It was ready and waiting. My Avocado Toast is good but cold. My husband Classic 1 breakfast is mediocre.
It’s unfortunate that I’m writing this. As a resident and a local who frequents this establishment often, I am disappointed to note its downfall. Seems like from the hostess to the cooks, everything has fallen through the cracks. Wait times are min of 30 mins despite 75% of the restaurant being empty. EVERY time we’ve visited the hostess is lost and sits people out of order. The food is inconsistent and quality suffers as of late. I hope they’re able to get it together before they continue to lose loyal customers. The last time we went, the hostess went as far as to say “the wait is 30 mins, but you’re welcome to go to YOLO across the way instead”. So that’s exactly what we did. Not to much surprise, the old manager was now working at YOLO and we shared our concerns with her. Being the only breakfast spot in the area it’s busy, but with the negative experience and the recommendations of the staff to go elsewhere, it’s not too difficult of a choice to find other places to call ours.
Top notch. The service was great. The breakfast and coffee were also really good. Nice atmosphere. Lots of outdoor seating.
First there is amazing vibe in this areaThe food is amazing.. and the service is phenomenal.... Highly recommended
I must say as I was reading reviews on places for breakfast I was curious if this place would live up to the hype, and by golly it did.A short walk from The Hyatt Centric proved to be a nice, quaint little place perfect for a delicious breakfast while on ones own. The cappuccino was as tasty as it was pretty, the hollandaise on the eggs benedict was wonderfully prepared, which is rare outside of fine dining establishments.I suggest if you’re in the area visiting like myself, you stop in and give this place a try, I think you’ll be quite pleased in regards to quality and freshness.
Great breakfast spot, had the French banana bread toast which was really good. Waiter was attentive and loved the outdoor area.
My expectations of a breakfast restaurant are to be able to “scoop out and toast” a bagel. They couldn’t get it right on multiple tries. Contributing factors were service time (everyone had finished eating by the time they came back to check on food) and staff attitude. 1hr wait time to sit was insult to injury.
Food / Service / Atmosphere all great. So many choices on the menu make it a great place for just about anyone. And the lavender Tea Latte is amazing
We come here whenever we are on Las Olas and it’s delicious every time!
Pleasant restaurant with a relaxing outdoor view. I ordered egg Benedict which could have use more seasoning however still pretty tasty. Pet friendly I will definitely return while visiting Fort Lauerdale.
Brynne took excellent care of us. The Banana Bread French toast was tasty, light, and a perfect portion. OJ was fresh squeezed on site and super yummy. Scrambled Egg sandwich was also tasty and filling. We will definitely return to try other options!
Great food, pleasant, efficient staff. Would highly recommend this restaurant!!
Food was out fast and delicious also Brynne was the best sever iv ever had the pleasure of meeting, with recommendations, she introduced me to my new favorite meal, and hands down the best service iv ever had
Great spot for brunch. Biscuits and gravy was great.
Really enjoyed my experience, great energy, even better food! The overall atmosphere was really nice, especially the outside area! Anna was my server and she was amazing! Super charismatic with great work ethic. Got my order perfect and paid acute attention to detail.
Excellent and worth the wait on a Saturday morning. Service was great, Food is amazin. My wife has eggs Benedict & Ived Cappycino, I had the Corned Beef scramble bowl with big pieces of Corn Beef, Peppers, Onions and Potatoes. Dont miss it, 45 minute wait was well worth it, we explored Las Olas while we waited and were texted 10 minutes out. Thank You from BronzeRestoration
