This team is awesome! I had an issue early in the morning when I woke up in Maryland, but had to catch a flight. Eye got worse on the flight and made a same day appointment while in the air. First of all, I was seen at my exact appointment time which is rare for any kind of medical appointment. All the staff were helpful and patient and knowledgeable. They did not recommend or put any pressure to buy anything. They were the epitome of professionals!

Right eye was not in good shape; called them first thing in the morning, and they had an opening for an appointment in the afternoon. Upon arrival, I was seen promptly. Doctors listened well and had very good knowledge and attention to detail. They eventually found a piece of METAL in my eye, removed it immediately, wrote and called in a prescription, and had me on my way feeling MUCH BETTER. These guys were excellent, highly professional, timely, and with outstanding experience and capability - you want somebody capable and experienced to remove a tiny object from your eye!

Great experience with Dr. Jack and Broward Eye Care. I made an error in prematurely scheduling an appointment when my vision insurance wasnt in force. Had to reschedule with no hassle from the office staff and they were very patient and accommodating.If youre like me, who is sensitive to eye exams and putting contacts in, you will love the staff. They are all very patient, make sure that you are at ease, and very thorough in explaining what to expect each step of the way. Paul who fits you for your frames is great as well. Overall excellent experience and Broward Eye Care has earned a lifelong patient.

I was went for an eye exam Been going for years. Dr And staff are great. I ordered glasses on 4-29-2021. I called today on the status of my glasses. Kevin said oh you have the right place. Acted like I’ve never been there before. He was totally clueless because he never did his job and ordered them. I’ve been waiting over 7 weeks for new glasses. I’m not a happy camper. Act like I’ve never been there.

This place is beautiful! Everyone that helped me today was wonderful. Very nice and explained everything with clear detail. They also have very nice namebrand frames. I was lucky enough to be able to pick out a frame and have the frames filled with the correct prescription lenses and walk out with new glasses. Dr. Klein was very nice, as was the young lady who did the exam. Paul even replaced eyeglasses nose pads on my old frames so I could keep them as a back up. I have oakley sunglasses that I LOVE and they are able to get those filled with the proper prescription lenses with the same tint! Can’t wait for those babies! I was recently visiting Fort Lauderdale from out of state and forgot my contacts at home. I called them and they kindly offered me a bunch of trial packs to hold me over until I went home. They had them ready in 10 minutes and didnt charge me a thing! The doctor was able to diagnose my vision accurately and my prescription, although a challenging one due to prisms was corrected without hesitation. I love my new glasses. Great customer service. So I came here maybe a month or so ago to have my eye exam. I wanted to get a new pair of glasses as my old ones were a prescription from 2015. I called in and the woman on the phone seemed super sweet and the place had good google reviews so I decided to check it out. I explicitly said from the beginning that I just needed my basic eye exam. I’ve had good vision my entire life besides the past few years, so I’m not super familiar with the eye examination process. I had to fill out a super long form online prior which I thought was odd but I did it the best that I could out of the office. I arrived to my appointment and they asked me if I wanted some sort of wellness exam to which I responded I suppose if it’s part of the regular exam. No one explained to me that it was not included in the typical exam and would cost another $65 and was hidden in the fine print of the forms I filled out not in the office where someone could explain what it was to me. This was not revealed until the check out counter asked me for $125 for an eye exam! I told the woman at the desk I did not ask for that exam and was not told prior that it would cost extra. So she told me not to worry about it but instead billed me to my house. I felt extremely taken advantage of and lied to. Needless to say I did not want to do anymore business with this office and am seeking glasses elsewhere. They never provided me with an updated copy of my prescription and when I called in to ask it to be faxed to the store I’m trying to buy glasses, I was told it would take 24 hours to send a fax. When I protested saying I needed my prescription the woman on the phone began getting upset with me that I said that was not acceptable. They called me back about 20 minutes later saying they would send the fax but wanted to collect my balance first. I again said no I’m not paying for that as I never wanted the exam or was explained what it was. The lady kept persisting and I told her I just want my eye exam results which I did in fact pay for. I’m unsure if my fax is going to be sent or not at this point, or if out of spite it’s going to be a full 24 hours. This place is not interested in client care whatsoever and will take advantage of you financially. I’m at the point where I might just have to have another exam somewhere else since they’re making the process of even getting my prescription difficult. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Where to begin. I’ve been wearing glasses for 18 years and have never had a terrible experience until I came to Broward Eye Care. Also, half the staff don’t wear masks.During the eye exam, Dr. Klein told me my prescription has not changed from my current pair of eyeglasses. When I looked at the new prescription, it was slightly different than my current prescription. Shouldn’t have been a big deal except when my glasses lenses were done the left eye was extremely blurry. These lenses took about three weeks to come in too. This is understandable due to Covid, but nobody gave me a courtesy call to inform me.The eye tech offers to reorder and recut. This takes another few weeks with no update from the staff until I call. Again, left lens is blurry. To remedy this I send over my old prescription which is in the glasses I am wearing now. Eye tech orders to this prescription and after three weeks I have to call to follow up. They say it should be done that Friday. Friday came and went and I get no call. I call again next Monday or Tuesday. Eye tech tells me he accidentally broke a lens and has to reorder. Shouldn’t this be something they should be telling me proactively instead of waiting for me to call to prompt it out to them?I call again in a couple days (on a Friday) and get told the reordered lenses are here. I bring my glasses to get the lenses put in. Eye tech comes out and tells me he broke the lens in one eye AGAIN. He says he’ll reorder and that the new lens will be here Tuesday. Tuesday came and went. No call from them. I call again on Thursday and get told the glasses are done. Same issue with the left lens being blurry. The eye tech had also cut a backup pair of glasses for me (I never asked for a second pair of glasses and it honestly seems a premature solution given the trouble we’ve had with the lenses).At this point, between lenses taking weeks to come in, me giving the new lenses about a week of break-in, it has been a total of THREE months. I ask for a refund. The response from the eye tech is, verbatim, “at this point it’s for the best because it’s a BIT much now, and I even cut you a second pair of glasses”. Again, I never wanted or asked for another pair of glasses.And to add to this whole catastrophe, when the eye tech was refunding me he accidentally charged me again so he then had to refund me double. I’ll have to see if this refund even comes through.This whole experience has been a tremendous waste of my time, not to mention the amount of stress put on my glasses frame after taking out and putting in lenses multiple times.

I got a referral from a friend to come here and saw amazing reviews. I came in on 5/14/2020 imposed on a pair of eyeglasses, glasses cleaner and the receipt. I requested for the prescription in result they gave me a hard time and never got it. I called 6/26/2020 spoke with a sweet lady named Susan, she got sour when I inquired about my prescription and still waiting. Does this facility not give their own patient their prescription they paid for ?

I have been going to Broward for seven years. The staff is very good and friendly. I have never waited more than 5 minutes to see the doctor. Dr. Klein cares about his patients and has excellent equipment to check the health of my eyes. I have been very happy with the corrections he has made to my vision.

I went to Broward Eye Care for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Both Drs handled my situation with no problem in the couple of visits I made. Everything was fine until it got to ordering my contacts... first they did not order my trials on time and I had to spend 3 days with the same (disposable) contacts which wasn’t a big deal but then when the order for my contacts arrived they had ordered them with the wrong prescription. I spoke to a lady on July 17th, which said she ordered the wrong prescription and hurried up to hang up because she was going to “place the correct order”. On July 24th a week later my husband just happened to call and check if they had received the contacts, whoever answered the phone told my husband that my contacts were on back order... my question is why didn’t I received a courtesy call to at least notify me that I’m going to be multiple days without contacts? Is this how you guys conduct business? I already paid for the contacts. The lady could’ve told me on the 17th when she spoke to me, or if she noticed when ordering them a courtesy call would have been appropriate. At this point I don’t know what to belive. I’ve been several days without contacts and have no idea when I’ll receive them. Very disappointing because I thought I had found my eye doctor. I guess I’ll have to order my glasses elsewhere.Edit: today I received notification that my contacts are available for pick up... guess the back order arrived, that was quick. Thanks 😊

New insurance lead me to Broward Eye Care as I had been going with LensCrafter for many years. From the very beginning Shay was very welcoming through the phone and was able to get me right away since I had lost my lenses abroad and needed to get in fast. The eye exam was very thorough and they answered any questions I had. The rest of the staff, Tracy, Krystal, Dr Klein and Dr Jake were very friendly and professional. I would like to thank Tracy for going over and beyond in getting my lenses done same day as it was a very busy day in the office and she knew I needed them same day. Dr. Klein is the best contact fitter you will ever find. Having experienced another professional (a very nice man) who quickly decided my contact prescription with 2 choices, daily or 30 day and having the prescription not only uncomfortable but did not help my sight at all, i know what it means to find a Dr. who will take time, never give up, believes the options are endless to both get the right fit and the best possible sight.I do not have the easiest eyes to fit so takes the best and Dr. Klein is that Dr.! I also know from a friend he is an expert at healing eyes and finding solutions to dry eyes that no-one else found.Thank you Dr. Klein...i will be able to see the fish when i snorkel in Fiji!

They couldn’t tell me what was wrong with me. And didn’t call in my prescription for inflammation. But, insisted on me coming tomorrow. I told them I can’t sleep from pain in my eye and gave me no solution. Total waste of time

DO NOT GO HERE! Terrible EXPERIENCE.Rude doctor (Klein), optician (Sandra), and staff (except for the front desk woman).If you go in for an eye exam the woman will try to sell you an extra exam that insurance does not cover and costs $25. Then when I saw the doctor and he was asking me questions about the use of my glasses and I answered kindly and honestly he muttered yeah right as he listened to me. I asked, excuse me as I couldnt believe that he had such a bad attitude about my answer. He never went over the extra exam results that I paid for. Then when I called after the exam to inquire about the results the woman said that if he didnt say anything then it must have been fine, with a bad attitude by the way.They send out your glasses to be made at a lab. When I got mine back the were winged. The were made incorrectly because the holes that were drilled into my lenses were not accurately measured. The optician was rude and nasty. Two different people (the optician and another woman) tried to BEND them back into place which is ridiculous as these glasses are very fragile. The lenses needed to be sent back and re-drilled. I asked them to provide proof that they were sent back to the lab by providing shipping or new production documentation or any official documentation that would prove that the lab got new lenses and drilled them properly. I asked for this since I had a strong feeling that they were just going to BEND them. They assured me that I would get such documentation. When I went in there was no such documentation and my lenses had a lot of finger prints all over them. I knew that they had bent them into place. Several calls were made to speak with the optometrist and they were never returned by the optometrist. Ive never had such a bad experience at an eye doctors office. The doctor himself and his staff need some serious customer service training as I received such bad attitudes from multiple people there and a defective product that was not corrected to my satisfaction, which was reasonable. DO NOT GO THERE!

I had trouble all night with my eye, thinking I had something stuck in my eye, I came to the doctor, and they were very friendly and knowledgeable, they found that there was nothing in my eye, but I just simply had dry eyes. I couldnt believe it at first, but the doctor, was right.The doctor prescribed me some eye drops and within a few days my eye was back to normal, just as he told me it would be. I Recommend this doctor.

I have a ridiculously difficult prescription with heavy astigmatism, myopia and, with ageing, presbyopia. At this point, wearing eyeglasses is out of the question....think ice cube-thick lenses. Weve been going to Broward Eye Care for years. First it was just myself and now that Im married, we both go. As a result, Ive been seen by Dr. Klein, Dr. Bascome, and as of our visit this week, I saw both of them. Both are extremely knowledgeable and professional enough they wound up referring me to a specialist because of a new situation I am facing. As we all know there is more to a medical practice than just the doctors that affects us...and in the office of the two doctors you will not be disappointed. Not only are they all nice but they explain things as they go along and everyone in the office gives you a chance to ask question without making you feel rushed.I know healthcare is a very personal issue, but if someone would ask me if I would recommend Broward Eye Care to a family member (other than my husband) for eye care, my response would be a resounding yes and without hesitation. When you leave the office after your appointment, you will feel as if youve just been taking care of people who actually cared about you and your situation.UPDATE: As I wrote above a year ago this month I had eye surgery thanks to the doctor ..and thanks to the doctor I still have my eyesight. After giving things time to heal I kept an eye on my eyesight (no pun intended) and while I found it hard to describe what was going on, I didnt want to take a chance so I made an appointment to see them. Thanks to their patience I was finally able to describe what I was experiencing which led the doctor to a diagnosis that not only saved my eyesight (again), but I know longer have to wear glasses except for reading. 😀 One thing both experiences have taught me is the importance of paying attention to you body and if somethings not right seek medical help for it. The other lesson is make sure you have doctors you feel comfortable with which is why I heartily (and without hesitation) recommend the doctors & staff at broward Eye Care. You would be hard pressed to receive the most personalized anywhere else.
