So happy I decided on EDL to install a new hurricane resistant garage door at my home. Very positive experience from the beginning. Fair estimate, accurate lead time quote, great follow-up and expert installers that were finished under their time quote. I can’t say that but other experiences we’re having during our house renovation.

An installer at the gate of our community was at the call box dialing for entry. I passed him and I could see him flipping me off from the rear view mirror. I understand when service people have difficulty entering through the call box, as I do live here. I backed up and waved him on and said I’d open it for him and he shouted “Just Fn going NOW!” And double barrel flipped me off. I would not trust a company who sends hostile vulgar individuals who harass residences of the communities they are working in. Employee conduct is a predictor of company integrity.

Just had our garage door opener replaced. Excellent job and only took an hour. Used EDL several times now. Always quick and good service.

EDL technician Lance came out to service my three garage doors. Which require each motor to be replace. All three flaps sensors and pad locks plus oil all three doors. The job was not an easy one. Lance was very professional and knowledgeable. He advised me about the MyQ App. I definitely would recommend this devise. After all work was completed you wouldn’t have know Lance was here for he is so neat and clean. Now my doors open smoothly you can’t even here them when they open. Thank you Lance your service is second to none.

Outstanding Service rarely seen these days. I needed a door spring repaired, called late in the day, they had the part and were at my house by 10am as they said they would be. Fixed the door in 1 hour and the price was extremely reasonable. Tech was friendly. Awesome company from my experience I highly recommend! Thank you EDL for your assistance.

EDL saved the day again. On a Friday when they were already fully booked, they promised to call me back if there was a cancelation. At 3:30pm I got a call from them saying that a technician was done with another job in Boca Raton and could head to Coral Springs right away if I wanted. As always they didnt disappoint. They keep their word, their technicians are super competent and the price very reasonable. James spent a couple of hours replacing the broken springs and adjusting everything. The same old door is quieter now than 10 years ago. He was not in a rush and was very detailed. EDL originally installed my garage door over 20 years ago, and I needed service about 3 times, all very good experiences.

EDL installed a backup battery-operated garage motor and drive belt. The unit is quiet and if I lose power it will still work without me having to reset the unit. The technician, Lance, was very professional and explained how to use the unit. He worked quickly and noticed how quiet the new unit was. Thank you, EDL for sending someone who went above and beyond my expectations.

A service person from EDL showed up on time and was friendly and professional. My garage door opener stopped working and I was pretty sure it was the capacitor. My opener is over 20 years old so I was expecting a hard sell for a new opener. The service person took one look and said it was the capacitor and that he would be done in 10-15 minutes which he was. In addition, he told me that my old opener is much better than the new ones and to not let anyone tell you it needs to be replaced. This was refreshing for a change. He also adjusted my door springs. All of this was done for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend EDL.

I can’t speak highly enough about EDL / Gate Masters. The workers were on time, kept the job site clean, worked quickly and hauled away the old garage door when finished, plus the price was right. EDL had done my garage door last year and I was so pleased with the experience, when my mother in-law inquired to me about replacing a garage door we immediately called EDL. She needed to get her old garage door replaced with a hurricane rated garage door, so she could be eligible for a discount on her homeowners insurance. My mother in-law also complained about how noisy the old garage door was and how hot the garage gets since it faces the setting sun. EDL recommended a Haas insulated garage door, which was a big improvement. Now the garage door operation is much quieter and the garage is much cooler, plus the neighbors commented how beautiful it looks. Now she is greeting a discount on her insurance and is prepared for a storm. I also like dealing with a family owned and operated company that has been around forever.

I would have given this company 5 stars as they did install the garage door efficiently, and it is working well, but they could not figure out how to connect it to our phones, and thus did not complete the job, which resulted in a long running dispute with them that we struggled to resolve. When it became clear they had no idea how to resolve the issue, I reached out to the manufacturer Chamberlain and discovered that I needed to reconfigure my wifi a bit to have their system interface with my network, something honestly their tech should know, but as all this wifi stuff is new, I get that. But then doing further research, we discovered that the MyQ app which opens the door was actually registered to a another user, which explained how our door mysteriously opened after Christmas while I was out of town. Thankfully, that opening had no negative impact, but Chamberlain assisted me in resetting the device to factory settings and eliminating that account. I then alerted EDL that someone in their employ might be registering their devices in such a way as to access them later as I could not figure out how else this could have happened. Again, this may have not been EDLs responsibility at all but as Chamberlain the manufacturer was puzzled as well, I would certainly ask EDL if they have resolved or researched further this issue if you purchase a Wifi enabled opener from them. All these smart devices created these vulnerabilities, and I think EDL is still possibly playing catch up here. Having said that, they definitely know how to install garage doors and openers as all the many positive reviews show, even if they are not yet up on how to make them wifi compatible.

If I could give this company a zero I would. I was referred to them by another vendor and was advised that they were the best and worth the extra money they asked me to pay. Anyhow I was dealing directly with the owner, a guy named Jack who then had his sales guy Bill come out. He quoted me and I agreed. When they came out to install the new jack lift they showed up 4 hours late. Then at 8 pm at night they decided to tell me they were leaving and couldnt tell me when they would be back. When I asked them how I was to open the garage they said it was manual and I could just lift it. Hmm, I started the day with a working door and now I am lifting it. Anyhow they were forced to stay by their boss, jack and they completed the work. The next day the door broke. To make this quick I will summarize. I am on my 7th trip by them to fix the door and no luck. The whole company is awful, sans maybe Bill the sales guy. Dont ever use these guys they are the worst. They must pay someone to write positive reviews.

Great customer service!!I’d come in because I needed a new garage remote. The three ladies that I’d encountered were really nice and attentive.To my luck, the programming of the garage remote was so easy that my 5 year old did. With a little help from me since he’s vertically challenged.Nevertheless, hopefully I won’t need a new one any time soon but if I did I wouldn’t hesitate coming back.

From reporting the problem, to when the technician cane out, these guys were awesome. I called late in the day and was told they would send someone the next day. The next day, first thing, the office called me and gave me a specific arrival time. The technician arrived ten minutes earlier. He diagnosed the problem in 30 seconds and had the whole thing fixed within 20 minutes. Super efficient and super pleasant. Couldn’t have asked for better service.

Youve got some great technicians working for you. Both Gino and Eloy are terrific. Honest advice and experts at what they do. We just had our automatic garage door upgraded. When I see tenured workers (Gino-15 years and Eloy-10 years), that also says alot about the company. Thank you!

I called for service late last evening as my garage door would not shut completely. By 10:30 this morning they had come to fix it. I was, as always, extremely impressed which a repairman named Barry. I have lived in the house for 20 years and he and EDL first answered my call 18 years ago. I can say nothing but excellent things regarding his service, ability and attitude. I am thankful that hes the person that came every time I had a problem. He even took the time to check out the entire door and lubricated it as well. He is really a step above as is EDL.

I was looking for a hurricane impact garage door figuring this could be a huge issue if a big storm hit our area. Doing my research I settled on Electronic Door Lift who has been in the market since 1964 and is family run, which I love to support. I’m glad I made the choice. From start to finished EDL was professional, on time and delivered a great finished product. Bill the sales representative was excellent pointing out the pros and cons of each of the hurricane garage doors. My garage is not very deep and he made sure the door I selected would still accommodate my vehicles. We also replaced the opener with a new LiftMaster unit. The app for the opener is now loaded on my phone and I can open and close the door from anywhere. It also sends me notifications if my door opens when I am away from home. Cool stuff. The service department had terrific follow through, they moved my install date when I had a conflict. Also, a big shout out to the installers Terrance and Ali who showed up 10 minutes early and had the job done in less than three hours. The inspection passed with flying colors and now on to the insurance company to get my discount!

Very disappointed with the unprofessionalism displayed by their front office. The technician came out in a timely manner and informed me of the problem, which he came back and fixed the next day. When it came time to pay, they added and extra expense not discussed. Additionally, this is the second time they performed the same repair, however this time it cost more than double. Truly disappointed. I thought I had found an honest company I could rely on not only for my property but for the properties I manage. I am not sure I will hire them again and if I do I will use extreme caution in dealing with them.
