I had two problems with my boat. 1) shore power was not powering anything on the boat or charging the batteries despite having 240V at the dock ( European boat), 2) port-side battery switch was not operating, it was on a permanent ON state. Based on a recommendation from a neighbor, I contacted 816 to solve both issues. Andreas was quick to respond and fit me in the schedule the next day so I did not run the risk of letting the batteries die. He arrived, diagnosed and solved the issues within the same day, and with very high quality work. The box that contains the battery switches in the engine compartment of my boat ( Cranchi 43 ) is particularly small, which forced Andreas to remove a lot of the connections in order to replace the broken switch. By the time he was done, everything was working perfectly and the box and all the connections inside were perfectly organized, it looked like new. It is challenging to find someone trustworthy and reliable, and this is what you get with Andreas. He delivers great workmanship and provides a sense of confidence that the work being done is done properly. I fully recommend 816 Marine Electric, fast, organized and very fair. I was having issues with my bow lights. I called the company and the technician came to house the same day. He quickly identified that there was a short in the wire and would have to replace some wiring. He returned the following day and corrected the problem. I have not had any problems since. The tech was meticulous and left no trace he was even there. I would definitely use them again for any electrical issues and highly recommend them.He also worked on my little Whaler with great results fixing the navigation lights.
