I was struggling trying to get my data roaming while in Costa Rica and sure enough the manager, Matthew, went above and beyond to resolve my issue within seconds!! He was also incredibly friendly and helpful while upgrading and starting my new plan a few weeks ago. I would definitely commend him on his positive attitude and great customer service.
Here’s the context for this one star review:My mistake:I chose to set up an account with this AT&T store with multiple lines. A phone, a watch, and a tablet. We also chose to set up the phone line with a new phone (device payment). To throw in a little complexity (sarcasm), I needed that phone line ported over from another carrier.The problems:The problems began right from the start. For whatever the reason everything got flipped around during the initial set up of the account. The new device payment was attached to a temporary phone number and the ported number (used for business) got assigned to a tablet line. Rather then reversing everything and starting all over, they left us with an extra line that we couldn’t remove because the device payments were associated with it. I left there with four lines (two tablet lines) unbeknownst to me.Resolution:None from the store or any store for that matter. There doesn’t really seem to be any form of accountability when it comes to the costly mistakes done by the stores. In fact, they’re much more likely to send you off and ask you to call customer service. The best part is that customer service is just as likely to tell you to go to the stores. Playing hot potato with you as a customer seems to be the accepted practice for AT&T as a whole. Nevertheless, I was able to find an acceptable resolution from AT&T’s customer service. This store’s mistake cost them a lot of money, but wasted a lot of my time and energy. Writing this bad review is my thank you (sarcasm) to the store for the headache, time wasted, and money they cost me.P.S. Take the “good reviews” with a grain of salt. They ask every customer to write them 5 stars reviews and just about anyone can submit a review.

Store manager Matt Valez changed my plan to bump up my month fees to $300 with 3 lines without my consent. He tried to upsell me. When that failed, he added next up charges to my account without my consent.His trick is tell me he put me into a family plan. He won’t explain any details or charge breakdown. No signature. When I asked for the paper work at the end, he said no. It will be sent to my email. When I got my email 20 minutes later, all fees show up. Be careful and ask for paper work and document before you leave the store. Matt cheats to get his sales number.
Personally the best service IV ever had at an AT&T store as soon as I walk in someone comes up to help me and activating my phone was a snap. I thought it would be a long painful process but the attentive staff helped me out right away and even used a machine to get the bubbles out of my phone screen, and applied a new screen protector. I then went again to activate my later phone and they were just as helpful. Highly recommend this place for the service.
Employees are completely inncompetent, lazy and careless. They cannot even replace the simcard from old 4G to a new 5G network. So incompetent, unprofessional and lazy, so that instead of looking at the current plan and simply upgrading to a new 5G unlimited plan, employee started blaming the all new unlocked Samsung phone, instead of just admitting that he has no brain whatsoever, and he cannot resolve the issue. Your employees are totally incompetent. Ill switch to Verizon!

It was superb customer service that Douglas, the AT &T representative and Matthew, manager provided during the time i was there. Not only did I get a new phone but more services for my money and awesome service from Hemal. She is very detail & also she likes to lay out every single fact before the costumer makes a decision. Great customer service!! They have Spanish, Mandarin, Korean speaking EXPERTS working here and they are all super nice and helpful .I was with T-mobile for 6 years until I recently had to port a landline number to a cell phone device. T-mobile (next door location ) dont know how to transfer number from optimum to their carrier . long story short, Madarin speaking guy and spanish speaking lady made this happen easily . (sorry I forgot the names.) After 2+ months of trying with T-mobile, I was going to give up the process, but when At&t made it so easy I regret I didnt come earlier. Now Im switching my other phone to AT&T too.非常感谢!

Just friendly customer service. Its not that hard but hard to come by so its always welcome. My sim CD card malfunctioned and I didnt have use of my phone for a whole weekend. Douglas Hsu took care of it and waived the $5 replacement fee. I then talked to him about upgrading my 4 year old phone. After some research, I will be going back to possibly upgrade.

Matthew at the Fort Lee AT&T went WAY above and beyond to set my mother and my son with new phones. He acted with patience, understanding and compassion; he recognized that I am an educator to give us the best deal; and he was personable and professional. The store is clean and comfortable. Makes me glad I have stayed with AT&T all these years.

I had overall good experience with this local AT&T store. Everyone tried to help me. Douglas helped me for my Black Friday online buy even though it was not his sales. And he was honest.
Service was not helpful or keen. Could barely hear the person and looked at me like I was wasting his time and the collegues. Asked for help with selecting iphone 12 screen protector and cover, and was unable to provide with necessary help. Id rather have a person who says theyre unable to do a job and not do it rather than wing it and waste my money. If you dont know how to put on a screen protector, telling me that and continuing to put on before im able to stop you im sure is not part of job description. When i asked if anyone is able to, you said theyre all busy, only after the person did their best to fail miserably.

PLEASE READ BEFORE DEALING WITH THIS STORE!!!the sales team at ATT stores work on a commission bases.they will sometimes sell you products and will not fully explain what fees associated with that item. we were signed up for a 3 line account and were told we qualify for a FREE watch. but didnt tell us in order to keep the watch we would be paying $10 a month service fee plus tax.. when we got our first bill we saw the charges and immediately went back to the store.. they told yes there is a charge for the watch and also admitted that they told us it was going to be free. because of COVID our whole family work was affected and we lost a lot of our monthly income. so this is why we decided to go to ATT and get a family plan to save some money. after contacting ATT we were told we cant return the watch and would have to pay off the watch.. so now we are paying $700 for a watch that was supposed to be free..when we signed up for the plan we were told $120 a month.. when we got the bill we were charged $170... always ask for a print out of services you are signing up for before leaving this store.. very disappointed with how they handled our account.. will not be going back to this store.. THEY DO NOT VALUE YOUR TIME OR YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.
Rude representative. He gave the impression that his only priority was to add new customers to AT&T. As it were a commission paying career. I needed other assistance and he ignored me in a belittling fashion. I went to his supervisor and informed him of his staffs under par professional etiquette, he replied with thank you for informing me I will take note and address the matter to be corrected. I believe nothing was done. I walked around for a brief moment monitoring staffs movement and still no one asked me if theres anything that I needed help with. Staff was not paying attention to any of there job detail. Whether its to greet customers upon entry, or to ask how they could be helped. What I did notice is staff paying more attention to their personal devices and not the customers needs.
Worst experience ever. It’s been two weeks that I haven’t got my iphone I ordered and came here to check up.One of men there asked what type of iphone i am getting, and I told them that I ordered iphone mini12. He was like “ what? who are getting the mini?” with frowning in front of me, and other clerk pointed at me and saying “ she does?” with laughing together. My iphone had not been shipped at all ( I might have to wait a year to get it because they kept saying ‘wait’) and I was so embarrassed and canceled everything.

I was in this store for the second time today and I have to stay that it has been one of my best experiences with At&t yet. The team is very welcoming and attentive. I got on the que right away. Joe got me on the que and checked back up on me while I waited and got to look at all the new toys. Gisele was available to answer all my questions about the products as well as guiding me to chose the right phone for my wife. Which by the way worked out to be the perfect one. I am so upset for the act of AT &T agent here. They are only looking for their interest, which is their commission. They are a kind of con artist.And this is the second time happening to me.What happened was, I went to store to purchase a new phone, and also I wanted to change my phone number as well, which I told clearly to an agent. But what they did was, they created another account for new number, which I did not know. And later, when I asked the agent when my old number is stopped using, the agent told me that I had to call the customer service to delete my old number, which I did and found out that the agent created another line for their commission.So I ran to the store and got things done as I wanted to in the beginning.I just dont understand what they did to me. I have been a loyal customer for almost 18 years. I definitely change my carrier later.

I see reviews on how quick and quiet that stores is!! I known that store for a long time theres a good reason why its not busy, because they are not good. They scammed me into switching to DirecTV and they told me it would cost me $30 a month now Im stuck paying hundreds of dollars a month and when I try to dispute it they said they would reported to my credit report. they promised me a $300 gift certificate which then they said they cant give me because I tried to dispute the bill that they sent me. Ive been an AT&T customer for almost 20 years and I have four lines with them I expected a little better service. Not right!!!!!!
Let me tell my story with this location.last week of June I with my wife decided to take a new phones and we went to this office.the seller was nice guy and told about opportunities if we would switch our company for at&t. Also he offered to trade in our phones. we asked couple more questions about plan and payment, one of the questions was if we could use our phones out of country. He said phones are locked, but if we would call local repair service they could unlock it for 40-50$. ( we will traveling in August for 3 weeks and we need to use phones in other country)so we made a deal .After 2 days I had to work in Edgewater nj on river road, i was supposed to use my phone but it didn’t work NO SERVICE on that location ☝️Second I, called the repair service and asked them if they could unlock phone for international using .they said at&t phones can’t be unlocked until pay off all price ., so 3 rd day I brought 2 phones back to the store . Explained the situation why I want to return phones and told all reasons and details,but biggest Surprise was when seller said “Trade in phones aren’t refundable “ .. the first seller never told me that ...P.S I lost 2 phones whit this company, sellers never ever tell the policy and rules they are interesting when you are buying and sign the paper, after it is absolutely different people .it you want to get phone from at&t just never go to this location if you don’t want to be tricked ..
Sales agent name Noy was extremely rude and unprofessional talking to my mother and I like We we’re one of her friends and I could hear her talking with her employees about me and my mom how att should reimburse for wasted time on us because we didn’t purchase a new Iphone which we didn’t need I hope AT&T see this post and address this quickly because customers shouldn’t be treated like this not going back to this location. I have been a long time ATT customer at this branch. I stopped by today and no one greeted me as they just stared. Giselle by far as been the coldest customer service rep there. I dont know if shes had a bad day or not, but her attitude is absolutely rude and ridiculous. Done with this location.

He didn’t even let me finish saying my issues with my phone and told em to go to the apple store. He didn’t even check to see if I had a upgrade available. Are there any negative stars? Terrible service- The employees are extremely rude...Please train them how to talk to the customers. The woman (I dont know her name) in that store seems to think that she is the boss for the customers. Her tone is extremely condescending. The representatives rudeness is what upsets me.Additionally, they obviously dont know the answer for the question re google watches (ringing) I asked, but they gave me inaccurate information. They are liars.There used to be the polite and smart gentleman in this store, but not anymore…

Lies about DirecTV plans -- I had cable TV before and was at this store for something about my AT&T cellphone plan. The sales reps pitched DirecTV service to me, and mis-presented its promotional monthly rates as permanent, and 2-year commitment as cancel any time. Steer clear of this store.
It was a Sunday afternoon and the store was quite. The young lady approached me and was friendly. She addressed all of my concerns and help d me narrow down my choices.
Walked into this store back in March 2016 to take advantage of the Apple iPhone Buy One Get One to upgrade to the new (at the time) iPhone 6S - The guy who helped us out (Lemuel) was very nice but he 1) Gave us the wrong information with regard to the software to use to move data from a Samsung Phone to the iPhone 6S (We had to do it through the cloud) and 2) When he setup the account he set it up improperly so the 2nd free phone never cam off the bill and despite numerous attempts with AT&T (who asked us to go back to the store to have them rectify it) 7 months later there was still no resolve. I finally had to call AT&T for the 4th time and Kylie took over the account from the incompetent and poorly managed store to get this promotion applied to my account... I hope that the AT&T Corporate will be able to fix this once and for all - they will have done it successfully if you dont see another post from me here... But frankly, that store is horrible and they dont understand anything about customer service. In fact the day that I had to PHYSICALLY go back to the store to get this corrected (and I had setup an appointment for this and rented a Zipcar to travel to that store) the person who tried to help us later came back from the back of the store to tell me that he had spoken to the manager and that the manager wanted the salesperson (Lemuel) who had set up my account (he was not there at that time) to rectify the error he had made and they asked if we could come back in 2 hours when he would be in... Can you believe this?! And Im sorry but if you make the mistake, dont ask your customer to wait around 2-3 hours to get it resolved - and its still not even resolved. If you want to get a phone through AT&T deal directly with someone at AT&T corporate offices. Call them on the phone. Dont waste your time dealing with used car sales tactics and poor customer service!
Expect a little more of a feeling of being important then just felling like I was bothering The Sales Person and she had beter things to do . And when asked the Manager for help when everyone else was busy and he was walkinf around doing nothin He blew Me off said had to wait for one the sales People to be free. Worked in Retail a long long time. I am ok with waiting for things to get done if feel like I am being treated as being impotant to the Place I am in. Came back tonight totally diffrent had Jay help Me took time setting up the phone and sales people were more alive and seemed more interactive with customers. Alot diffrent feeling then other day.
