My absolute favorite bookstore in Fort Smith! Being greeted by Barry (an adorable grey kitty cat) as I come in always makes me smile. The selection is amazing and the people are knowledgeable. The atmosphere cannot be beat, it was welcoming to myself (44) as well as my daughters, (15 and 7). None of us wanted to leave!If you are an avid reader or just looking for something to entertain you on a trip stop in and let them help you find the right book. Im willing to bet youll be back soon.

Small and charming book store. Support your local small shops! Excellent customer service. Willing to order books for you to pick up there. Highly recommend. They even have a writer in residence who keeps hours there at certain times.

You must stop by Bookish if you are in Fort Smith! Not only is Bookish super adorable, these ladies care about the community, and have worked so hard to create such a fantastic shop. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable, I believe there is something for everyone here. They pour into our community and prove the value in shopping small.

Every now and then you go to a bookstore where you just feel like they truly get what it means to love books. Bookish is up there with the very best Ive visited -- an immaculately curated collection of books, put together by a staff who really care about reading and about their customers, and who do their best to personalize your experience there (and succeed at that). Im so happy Bookish is here in Fort Smith and thats its expanding to a new location now!

Living in Fort Smith you dont usually come across places like this. It is in kind of a perfect beautiful spot. The atmosphere is so chill and welcoming. I felt like I was going into the library wing at my cool aunts house or something. Comfy couches and perfectly decorated sections complement stacks of wondrous books. The owners seem really sweet and are very open to feedback and suggestions. You can even order things they may not have.They have a book club and have community literacy type events (book club meetings,poetry readings, local author showcases,etc) at their shop. Theyre great about updating their social media about the events ahead of time so you can schedule around them accordingly. A very needed and welcome edition to the downtown scape. Definitely the type of store the town needs to keep around by shopping her. Keep it local folks.

We always find bookstores when we travel. Local bookstores really help you get a feel for the life of a town. Bookish is the perfect “feel” for Fort Smith. The owners, Jennifer and Sara, are in it for the love of books, and it shows. Their place was voted “Best Bookstore” in Fort Smith for good reason. Don’t go expecting tons of random books. This is a very carefully curated, beautiful collection.

I love this book store for so many reasons, but my favorite is the feeling you get when you walk into the store. It is so welcoming and happy! The book selection is great, the customer service is even better, and Barrie the cat is the cherry on top. Check out this book store! You will love it!

This is a great shop! The ladies who own the shop are wonderful and make great recommendations. They have local writers and great activities for both adults and kids.

The sweetest little bookstore youll ever hope to find. Selection is very well curated, by avid readers and store owners Sarah and Jennifer, who are always helpful and kind. Barry the store cat is just adorable and will sometimes snuggle you on the comfy couch while you drink the free coffee and read until your hearts content. Bookish is lovely by day but is absolutely magical by night with whimsical performances, book club meetings, readings and more.

They had a great selection of new books and older books that my kids needed for school reading assignments. There is a great place to sit and read as well!!
