Terrible customer service in the service department. I made an appointment 4 weeks ago for 7AM today. I received a text yesterday to confirm my appointment. I dropped it off the night before my appointment so they could start on it right away. Did not hear anything from them all day until 3:15 when my husband text to see if it was ready. He was then told by text that it never made it in the shop today and asked if we wanted to pick it up or then keep it all weekend to do possibly Monday. He asked them to call him and no one did. We called 3 times and asked for a call back to ask questions with no call back. When I went to pick it up I was told they have been short staff. I can understand short staff. I work in the customer service industry too. HOWEVER! Communication goes a long way!! They could have called and rescheduled me yesterday. They have called me today and apologized and asked to reschedule me. They had to move my truck this morning to see other vehicles but could not take a second to call or text me the issue???! Sad…I will not be returning to step one for service or for the purchase of my new skat pack.
I love VW of FWB... they treated us like family, from the moment we walked in the door until we left, we were treated like royalty. Thank you to Jeremy Bell for his incredible customer service, Thank you to Derek and Chris for getting us a great deal.. We will always be back!Very convenient and efficient
*********Avoid at all costs***************Fort Walton JeepJuly 10 purchase Jeep Grand Cherokee (bought with bad sensor-broken seat belt) no big deal. Manager sets up appointment for July 27. Service dept calls sets up loaner all good. Arrive July 27 no loaner and parts still not ordered. Fast forward August 16, for second possible purchase 52k check in hand, Finance guy “promises” better rate due to relationship with local banks, ran my credit through 17 banks, no bueno Spent the 52k on other dealership, Back to September 3rd pick up my vehicle from service, sensor and belt fixed, get home, and hood is completely off by one inch from other side. This place is a complete disaster/scam/do not trust anyone at this dealership
I read reviews of sales staff ahead of time and based on that I reached out to Carol Ingram. It was a blessing. Carol responded quickly and was very sweet and patient. I was shopping online and about an hour and a half from the dealership. Carol replied via email, text and phone promptly to all my inquiries. She sent me videos of the entire vehicle inside and out and even of the engine compartment with the engine running. So I was secure about the vehicle before I made the trip for the test drive. She did such a good job of revealing everything about the vehicle that there was no unpleasant surprises. She greeted me with a big smile and was very courteous. She even allowed me to take a fairly long test drive of my preowned vehicle. I had a trade and the negotiations and purchasing process went very smooth and was professional. She had the vehicle detailed before I took it home. I had a question on my drive home, I left a message and and she returned my call right away and was very helpful. I give Carol Ingram a five star rating ***** and highly recommend her without reservation.
I am a vendor for many auto dealerships. There are some out there that treat vendors very poorly but not at Step One. All of their dealerships have treated me wonderfully for the past couple years. That means a lot to me and I will be making vehicle purchases from them over the next several years. Keep up the good work because I will be referring more customers to you as much as I can
We had a lovely experience. informed them that I had to go to work in an hour and a half and effort was definitely noted. Austin Rightman was our salesman and he made us feel right at home. He had a lot of insight and knew all of the questions we asked. We love the new truck recommended 100%.. Thanks again, Austin!
During my recent visit with your store, my purchase experience was...nothing short of amazing, when all said and done! From an experience that was not looking good, Carol saved the day, and we ended up happy buyers and driving away in our new vehicle with a smile! We started out with a sales associate that was assigned to us. However, the associate was not focused on us or our needs. He asked us multiple times what we were looking for after expressing every time what exactly we were there to look at, and he walked away multiple times helping others. It was a situation we were sure was not able to be rescued. Until, as we were leaving, having had enough of the situation, we saw a friendly face, who asked, if she could help us. After explaining the situation, she immediately took the bull by the horns and wanted to help us. And she did that, and then some! Carol, was fantastic. She listened, she took in our needs, and she delivered! She went above and beyond!Thank you carol! Kudos to making a not so good experience into one we’ll always remember (in a great way)!
Trey Hill was fabulous! Extremely efficient and friendly. He went above and beyond to meet out expectations! Highly recommend contacting him if you’re looking for a vehicle.
What a joke for a place/company. Their website stated in the description for the vehicle we wanted that it was in the top 10 list of Suvs in 2018 for less then $25000. They then have us drive an hour to them under the impression AFTER running the credit that we are approved and everything looks good to then tell us the vehicle is $32000, so the description is an obvious flagrant lie and that we could have the vehicle for over $800 a month which clearly would have never been an option. Please, for the love of everything, if you feel they are looking in your best interest, THEY ARE NOT, take it from me and save yourself the time and lies or find out first hand so I can gladly say I told you so. This place is a joke and I will gladly shout it to everyone willing to listen
Horrible experience after the sale from both the Fort Walton Dodge dealership and their corporate office. Repeated attempts to call and they never return the call. They could care less once they sell you a vehicle. Which is surprising because a good dealership knows they make more on the service department than car sales. They lost our business forever. 7 months later still trying to work out a refund of double taxes paid on a new vehicle. No one from the dealership cares so we are filing a second official complaint with the State of Florida Division of Motorist Services. Our first complaint resulted in them being fined for improper title process and not sending taxes collected to the state within 30 days. Over a month after the sale they sent the title paperwork but not the tax money paid so to get registered we had to pay taxes a second time. Still have not seen the money we originally paid them. Will see how the second complaint turns out on getting our tax money straightened out. FYI, any problems with a car dealer and you can file a complaint with the State of Florida Division of Motorist Services. They can fine or even pull a license for a bad car dealer.UPDATE: So we finally have resolved our complaint. It took this negative Google Review to get it done but at least we are finished with dealing with it. This could have all been resolved 6 months ago if the dealership or corporate had returned our calls and requests for information. Seriously, it takes a negative Google review to get them to return a call and help a customer? I give credit to the lady that did end up helping and as far as I understood she does not work at the dealership. We still have not received a call or even a letter explaining why the process was so messed up. I would have expected the dealership management to apologize but to date they have not. In the end the State of Florida Division of Motorist Services did find them at fault for how they handled the paperwork, we received accounting for all monies paid to the dealership and most importantly we never have to deal with them again.
By far the best car buying experience ever!!I drove from Indiana to purchase my Cadillac ATS because of the Excellent and Honest customer service I received! Junior and Trey went above and beyond to find the car I wanted in the price range I requested! My car was ready when I got there and Becky was very thorough and quick with the paperwork which was much appreciated!!! This is the only place I trust to purchase my autos from!!
They sold me a certified preowned and said if they missed anything that they would cover it. They missed three things the window didn’t roll down correctly. The full pump and sensor had to be replaced and it needed new spark plugs. None of theses problems presented them selves until I was on the ride home from the dealership. They where only willing to cover half of the cost. Don’t let them trick you they are not honorable people.
Jeff was Excellent to Deal with and The Manager was Awesome at Step One Automotive on Miracle Strip Parkway! I highly Recommend buying a Car here! Friendly and Informative and made it Easy!
From one Lying salesman Travis to another one named Mark. Buyers beware! Smooth talkers, promises not kept. Lie after lie. Even talked about each other behind the other ones back..
The only reason I gave my experience two stars is the salesman I had at Subaru on Beal. Zach did everything he could do to make sure I was happy with my purchase and was very patient with me and a tough situation I was in for time. Could not have been happier at the time I drove off with my new light blue car (they called it grey but it is my car and it is blue).A couple of weeks later is when everything has gone wrong!I get a clear title in the mail for the Subaru. I should never have received this. The credit union I used to finance should have received it with their lien holder info on it. Technically they gave them the check for the car and physically they took the check to the dealer. As of today they still had have not corrected this issue and it has been several weeks now since I let them know. But worst of all I received a past due notice on my trade in, a month and a half after I traded the car. Now a 30 day past due will be on my credit report. When I called about this issue the person I spoke with proceed to tell me I should have paid my bill, that I was told they had 20 days to pay off my trade in. First, I have worked in banks and credit unions for almost 40 years doing all types of loans to include auto loans, that answer would never be something I would tell a client. Second, I bought my car in July, it is mid September, clearly more than 20 days. Once I got him to realize it was an issue, I have not heard from him. It has been 2 days with no response. To me this is a big issue which should have been resolved quickly. In this day and time wires and ACH transactions take very little time. After reading a few of the comments posted about this company it is not going to be easy to get them to correct the title and pay off my trade in that should have been paid six weeks ago.Still love the car but definitely not impressed with the companys service and responsibility they do not seem to realize they have if they want to keep customers for future purchases. They should watch one of their own commercials!
My wife and I were in the market for a new vehicle and just so happen our neighbor Adam works for Step One Automotive Group. We chatted with him about purchasing a new vehicle. He kindly told us to come visit one of their stores to see if we could find something we might be interested in. Long story short, we went there on 5 June 2021 and purchased a Hyundai Palisade from team member Joey. Adam & Joey takes very good care of their customers. We felt very comfortable and at ease throughout the process of purchasing our vehicle. As a matter of fact, the whole team in our opinion is totally awesome!
Larry Campbell is awesome! He was very respectful and friendly; knowledgeable but not pushy. Larry made the process from test drive to final purchase very smooth. Next time we need a vehicle, we will be back to see Larry!
It was a pleasure to work with Justin! This is our 3rd car we’ve purchased from him. We couldn’t be happier with our transactions. He knows what a time crunch we normally are in. We were in and out in as less than an hour, and we got the car we wanted. We will definitely be back!
Stopped in to just look at a few cars, not sure that we were going to buy that day. Latoya Thompson came out to help us and immediately we formed this connection and she showed us several choices. (trying to get a husband and wife to agree). Well we were working on one car and then Latoya found us THE One. We have bought cars in the past but I have to say our experience with Latoya has been by far the best! I highly recommend Latoya and Step one. I will be back. Latoya thank you so much for spending the time with us.
Customer service is none existence with this FWB service area & office personnel. I was hang up on 2 times while trying to get an appointment for a part replacement...for a part their service people broke. Had to wait for the part to come in & then they tell me they are a month out on appointments. The communication with these people is as good as a flat tire. NEVER BUY OR USE THESR PEOPLE!
Went on a Sunday if all days, and thanks to the lovely lady that called me (forgot her name. So sorry.) I knew the were open from 11-3. I got to meet Austin Rightman and help assisted my wife and I right away. He allowed us to describe what we wanted and didn’t try to push use towards the lot special lol. He gave us every opportunity to pick what we wanted. When we did he went to work with the financing manager and got us a great rate and payment. We drove out of there a little after 3 with a new car. Thanks Austin.
I bought a car from them, Vince Cox was my salesman, had the best service ever! Go see Vince at Step One Automotive in FWB! Thank you Vince!
I had the absolute best experience I have ever had at a dealership! I live 5 minutes away from a Jeep dealership, however no one answered my email inquiry, so I moved on and found Step One Automotive Group, who were more than willing to sell us two Jeeps, and with doing negotiating through email, which is the only way I purchase a new car. I do not like the hassle I have had in the past by going into a dealership, dealing with one person after the other, etc. I like to do my whole deal through email, get my quote, and go get my car, hassle free. That is exactly the experience I had with this dealership and they have now earned mine and my familys business. We are so happy with our price and new vehicles! Darrell, Stephanie, and Jay went out of their way to go above and beyond for us.I would prefer to drive an hour to this dealership than to deal with one who does not check or answer emails when a buyer is ready to buy! I give five stars and highly recommend you give them a try the next time you are thinking of purchasing a new car.
Last august 2021 i took my subaru to get a.c repair. parts were not at store so they gave me a loaner. kept loaner for about a week.. august 09 car is finally ready so i picked up and return loaner as well. But yesterday a month after i return the car,i got a nasty text from Michael Shoemake(SERVICE MANAGER)that read like this.Good morning. This is Mike Shoemake at Subaru of Fort Walton. It is imperative that you contact me as soon as possible. If i do not hear from you today,i will be contacting the police to report our car stolenAre you kidding me?is this the best way you could handle this situation?the way am understading this text is you are stating that i have stole this vehicule.... theres no other way to interpret this. you had no prove that this was accurate. i had to provide the date that i returned the car to help your incompetent staff and yourself do your job and figure out where this vehicule was.Did you or your staff check the papperwork? the camaras?or other tools that might help you?NO YOU DIDNT.Instead you took the easy way and imply i stole the vehicule.Way to handle this sir.Michael Shoemake:You should be fired sirYou ruined my dayYou humiliate meYou embarrassed meYou damage my reputation. After been a loyal costumer since 2014 i will no longer support this venue... what a shame. shame on youMichael Shoemake.Michael Shoemake in case you didnt know slander;defamation of character are punishable by law. There was no true and honest apology from you or anyone at aubaru fwb.i ask for a letter stating that im not responsible for this vehicule and boy... you really had a hard time writing two sentences..Accept your mistakes.
I chose to give 5 stars based on our sales guy Justin. Really cool guy, knows and loves Jeeps. The deal making process is like any other place, not going to get around that unfortunately unless you pay cash. However we did get the truck we wanted. Not sure of service department or anyone else as we just dealt with him and finance guy but I am an avid reviewer and will return if I have a continuous problem. For now, good inventory, good sales guy and pretty easy. EDIT: Have now owned this same truck for 1.5 years with about 21k miles. No issues, added a little lift with 35s.
Wow! Wish Id known about these guys for my other past vehicle purchases. I did my research and knew EXACTLY what I wanted. Found the vehicle online and wanted to finalize my purchase before leaving to go out of town the next day. Called them right when they opened at 8:30am, told them I was ready to purchase that day if we could come to terms AND that I would need to finalize all transactions virtually AND have the vehicle delivered to my office an hour away before 4pm. They made it happen! My salesman, Balthazar, personally delivered my vehicle and I had a sweet ride for my road trip the next day. Balthazar, Caleb & Chris were all great to work with, friendly, not pushing, helpful. What can I say except that I will send my friends and family to StepOne Automotive Group if they are looking to purchase a vehicle. Well done!
Please dont ignore the one star reviews. Theyre all true.
I had been to several car lots looking for the perfect car. No one seemed willing or wanting to help. I found the car of my dreams. When it was a stick shift, my sales person Damien Griffin and the manager went out of their way to get me exactly what I wanted. It was no easy feat. Every promise they made was met with a smile. I cannot say enough about Damien. He made the whole experience fun, exciting, and beyond anything I’ve been through in buying a car. Everyone there was personable and accommodating. I highly recommend Step One Automotive in Fort Walton Beach. Ask for Damien. He won’t disappoint!
I give this dealership five stars, but these stars are really for Mr. Larry. He helped my mom find a car that was perfect for her. He was relaxed, calming, and not pushy; he made the very stressful routine of buying a car painless and as quick as possible. Next time I am in need of a car, I will be headed back to see Mr. Larry.
First of all, let me preface by stating I am highly experienced with purchasing vehicles and have interacted with hundreds of dealers. Our salesmen was phenomenal initially. Great words and presentation. Easy going. No pressure. Follow-up? Nonexistent. In the professional world - unacceptable. The financing rate(s) offered were and are terrible. That night we checked rates elsewhere and found 3% lower off the bat - and we have 800+ credit scores. Insane!Their finance manager attempts to sell their products hard - veer away and say NO to everything extra. Our car price was fair after negotiations and it is a nice vehicle, but beyond that single transaction - no plan of referral or repeat business. Thanks, but no thanks!
Great car terrible support.I bought a new 2020 Jeep Cherokee Limited 6/23/21 at Step One Chrysler etc. North Savannah with a “we owe” item of a tow package installation scheduled for Monday 7/8/21 to be arranged by my sales team.Having heard nothing on 7/8 I called the dealership on 7/9 and was told the parts would arrive 7/12. On 7/12 I was informed the parts would arrive 7/14 and to that end the sales manager, Jim Mengano (?) scheduled an installation appointment for 7/15 at 8:00 am. On 7/13 at 3:12 pm Jim left me a voice mail saying the parts were in transit to the distribution center in Atlanta and would not arrive on the 14th. He said we would “circle back” at the end of the week and he would keep me posted. That was the last time I heard from him; I’ve left several voice mail messages for him with no responses.I live in Tallahassee; I was in Savannah to dispose of a 2018 Ram 2500 that my son had been using- we traded it for the Cherokee. Since the parts were not available and I was to hear something by the end of the week I drove back home. At about noon on the 14th, on the drive home, I got a call from someone in parts telling me the parts were in. The morning of the 15th, (ten minutes before the scheduled 8:00 appointment) I got a call from someone at service telling me not come to the appointment because they did not have all the parts required. If you check with the parts department, you will find that all parts have been there since 7/15/21. I have heard nothing more since then. I called yesterday (7/27) asking for an appointment the week of August 2nd (the temporary tag expires August 7) and asked not to be sent to Jim’s voice mail since he doesn’t answer anyway. I was told he had been given the message. I still have not heard from him or anyone on the sales team. I made an appointment today for August 3rd (after verifying that the parts would be there). God willing, that will be the last time I set foot at Step One Automotive DBA Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram North Savannah. Thankfully this Jeep will live in Tallahassee where it will be serviced by a competent dealership.I think this Cherokee is a great car, it’s my fourth Chrysler product. Your North Savannah dealership is a different story. I’m well aware of the problems all industries are dealing with distribution systems. This sequence of events goes beyond that. I would not hesitate to recommend a Jeep product, but I’ll be damned if will do the same for Step One.
We just bought a new 2021 Subaru Outback XL Touring edition. Casey Holt was awesome! He was very professional, personable, and extremely helpful throughout all aspects of the buying process. If you are in the market for a new car...hit Casey up!
Purchased a Brand spankin new 2021 Kia Soul! Eddie was our sales person in FWB. He was amazing and fought for us throughout the process! Thank you Eddie! -Tyler and Brent Moyer
Ive been searching for a Jeep and found one with step one for the best price. Daniel Porter was my salesman and made the deal work!!! They gave me a very good trade in on my Hyundai Equus. I forgot my keys were still on the remote and he called me while I was driving and set to get off the highway and he will drive them out to me. What salesman would do that???I highly recommend Daniel and his team for a great experience today.Patrick ONeil
I had the best experience! Thanks guys!
I went there to get help registering my Cadillac CT5 from NY to FL. Latoya greeted me and, i joked about trading in my car for an SUV. She went out of her way getting me everything i wanted at the price i was looking for. She was outstanding and, i would definitely recommend Step One Auto and Latoya for your next car purchase
Billy Mauldin made the process easy and we had fun. He was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and was great to work with. I have another daughter going to buy soon and we will call him for sure
Oh where do I begin!! Absolutely love the people at this dealership. My salesman was Austin Rightman and he was the best salesman I’ve dealt with while looking for my Carnival SXP. Not only was he down to earth and honest he was very knowledgeable. He knew so much to the point I wanted him to just show me where to sign! The most important thing is that he was genuine and straightforward with me. He wasn’t some slimy salesman just looking to make a sale and he wasn’t pushy and that alone made me so comfortable. I learned that he was kinda new and if there was something he didn’t know he didn’t bs me as if he knew. So after three other dealerships Step One became my last. I don’t regret or have any buyers remorse because I felt I was in good hands. So thank you Austin and I can’t forget Trent for coming and introducing himself as well. Big thank you to Adam and congratulations on scoring the extended warranty from my husband. Lol and to Rachel for her input and great customer care. If your looking to get a Kia Step One is the place to go! Thanks again guys I couldn’t be more happy with my purchase!!
I recently showed interest online for a Ford Explorer at Crestview Ford. I did the value my trade and was told I would be contacted shortly. I tried again and received a phone call from someone at the dealership. I told the details of my trade and that I would like to receive an initial offer before coming to the dealership because of Covid. They said they would talk to a manager and get back to me which never happened. I then received an email from someone named Jeff Thompson acknowledging my interest in the Explorer, but didnt hear anymore from him. With no more contact I traded with a local dealer. I then went to the dealership to cancel the GAP insurance I had purchased on a vehicle from Hub City Ford. The gentleman that came out informed me I didnt have GAP insurance, said he had checked in two places but there was no record of it. I told him I was sure I had purchased it and he more or less called me a liar saying there was no record of it. I told him about inquiring on the Ford Explorer and receiving no response. He stated he was sorry and guessed they had lost a sale. I came home and found the paperwork that showed I did have GAP insurance. I called and was connected with Marla Simmons, She was extremely courteous and helpful in getting the GAP cancelled. I have been a Ford and Explorer owner since 1990, but will not give this dealership anymore business.
Dairus and Bobby were amazing. My wife and I drove over an hour to pickup a vehicle we found online and fell in love with. We had started the buying process before we even left home, and by the time we got to the dealer, we were there maybe 20 minutes. Dairus was available to answer any and all questions my wife and I had, and Bobby made the paperwork easy to understand and a fun experience. 10/10 would recommend.
At age 63, I’ve purchased 14 new vehicles from dealerships and this was the WORST experience ever!! Had I read the reviews prior of Ft Walton Dodge Jeep Ram Chrysler Fiat aka Step One Automotive - I would’ve made my purchase elsewhere. After signing on the dotted line is when all of the headaches began from lies of the salesman Joey, to GM Greg and onto the service department. It was 9 months of torture at every visit just to get normal or warranty items taken care of. They have one empathetic service manager Ken who finally understood my frustration and determination, got things taken care of.MY ADVICE IS DO NOT SUBJECT YOURSELF TO LIES AND UNPROFESSIONALISM OF THIS BRAND!!
I felt the staff was SUPER friendly. Everyone. BUT AND Bottom line was the buying experience was far from nice or even laced with an iota of integrity. The other reviews that have been read, Buyer Beware, should be heeded (in my humble opinion.--now, after the fact unfortunately). I feel like I got a good deal on the Jeep purchased, and I will give them that. Ultimately I signed the contract at the end of the day (well 2nd day), so its on me. Just saying, ask more questions, be critical, look out for you and yours. As stated to begin with, super friendly staff.... not a super buying experience and in the end of the day (2nd), NOT a super deal.
My nephew bought a used truck from Step One Automotive group in July 2020 and still has not received his title from them yet and it has been over 7 months. They have not followed up and corporate will not take my phone call. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!
Their salesperson. Richard ONiel was the absolute rudest salesperson that I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. He was condescending and demeaning . If he ever approaches you, or your children, run and ask for another salesperson or the police.
Worst car buying experience ever. Vehicle engine light was on the next day. Major vibration at highway speeds. Vehicle smelled like smoke. Unable to contact anyone after so many tries.
Sale was ok(Oct 2020). When the deal was ready to be completed, the finance manager was too busy watching a football game on his phone and tried to fast talk us through the contract. My wife and I have excellent credit and was told the 5% from Suntrust was the best deal. We accepted because we had both of our young children there and they were getting fussy about lunch. Went out to the parking lot and immediately told my wife we would refinance. Once I refinanced, in November 2020 I tried to contact them numerous times to get my GAP contract cancelled, even went as far a mailing everything in because I don’t live in Florida, absolutely zero responses. Left many messages, contacted on Facebook and nothing. I wish I would’ve read these reviews before I went in.
The sales experience was great, then the salesman left for another dealership. Now we know why. The service department is the WORST Ive ever experienced. Brand new vehicle with faulty electrical issue and they have been unable and unwilling to resolve the issue. Trying to get an appointment is like pulling teeth. Schedulers dont return phone calls, when you tell them the issue they tell you its something else, note taking is non-existent and then the Service Managers hang up on you when you speak to them. I can guarantee one thing, Step One will not be selling another vehicle to us.
Step one Crestview Ford overcharged me $1441.39 for title and taxes. I have left messages for finance manager, new car manager and general manager and no one will call me back. I have already paid penalties because they wouldnt process title paperwork.
Our experience with Casey Holt was an excellent experience!!!!! Very informative and knowledgeable, also patient for those like myself who are not comfortable with new technology. When leaving in our brand new 2021 Subaru Outback XLT I didn’t even think about our trade in 😌🥰😉!!! What an Awesome salesman, thankyou Casey Holt!!!
Chris Ledingham is a great addition to their team!
We were told today that if we werent for sure going to to buy a car today, he didnt want to test drive with us. This is a first! The last salesman we dealt with at that dealership a few months ago was fantastic. This guy is the reason car salesman have a bad reputation. I wish I had gotten his name. Thanks for making the decision to NOT buy a Cadillac from your dealership easy.
Jason Burnett was my salesman. He was very helpful and courteous even delivered the truck to my house on his day off. Staff very helpful as well. Will do business with again
Terrible place the worst customer service ive ever encountered...the online girl stephanie was awesome...but ruth and sales manager were terrible tried buying car from them wouldnt call me back this went on for a week with promises they would call even after i sent a email stating i was upset i was told sales manager would call me asap never heard from them...i ended up going to step one in pensacola and bought a car they were awesome!...my recomendation is dont use crestveiw location they obviously to busy to sell a car and dont need our bussiness!!!!
Worked with Diana at Kia of FWB. Patient, not pushy, asked great questions. Helped me find my wife(whos very picky) the exactly right car for her and her business. Give her a call and youll see why I recommend her services.
My sales guy was nice and got me driving my car of choice right away, however, financing was not. I noticed after I got home they had ran my credit through 4 other places. I went in with my auto loan already secured. No clue why they looked for another loan well it’s because they used their own finance company. GAP was also added which I had told sales guy I didn’t want. Finance was done on phone with me signing and initialing thins on my cell phone. After I got home notice $1700 for a service contract. I don’t know what that includes. I even called service department and they didn’t know. I have not gotten any response when I’ve called or emailed them including my salesman. I’d ask for a face to face financing so you can see everything ahead of time and can see what your signing and ask questions. I did get a fair interest rate but shows as a installment loan through finance company which reads very different than an auto loan as far as how it’ll affect my credit score not to mention the several hard inquiries they also added. For an auto loan, it wouldn’t affect my credit score so much but does when a finance company. Luckily the car was the last thing I was going to need credit for. Something shady going on there. I’m now getting coupons to use in their service department meaning that the $1700 service package covers nothing. Car still had some of manufacturers warranty left. Deborah Smith
Not impressed. They’ve got some work to do earn customer faith and loyalty.
This was by far one of the best experiences I have had with buying a car. As a first time buyer I felt a little pressured by other auto motive dealers I had visited, but when I had called this location they had kept in good contact. When I was unable to find a vehicle at a good price with good finance opportunities I got a call from step one automotives and they made sure I got in a good car with GREAT deals. I am so happy that I had such an amazing experience purchasing a vehicle.
This was my first time buying a car on the internet. Jason Burnett was very helpful in getting me into the car I wanted. There was some confusion on other customers wanted to look at the car, but Jason made sure it was reserved for me. I highly recommend Buick GMC Cadillac Fort Walton Beach if youre looking for a new or used vehicle. Theyll work hard to get you into the vehicle youre wanting.
Veterans, military and buyers take special caution. My experience with automotive group has been similar to other reviews that have been posted. If you want an answer from the dealership, they have stated they have to retrieve information from the corporate office, etc. No follow through. and no answers.
Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Was treated more like a friend.
Months after a purchase of a late model work truck last winter, I needed a bit of followup help. Ben Mead, my sales guy, was able to attend to my need, same as he did at the time of purchase. I appreciated the attentive service at purchase time by Robo, the crew, and especially Ben. Kudos to StepOne Automotive service. See you folks again.
A1 service I bought an impala in March had to get a few things fixed right after they made the process so smooth. They were able to bring me a rental to my job and deliver my car I can’t even begin to tell you how nice their entire staff and service team is! Not one time did they sound irritated with me! I love my car thank you guys I am sure I recommend you to everyone!!!!
Jarod, William and Kim were great. Thank you for making an auto purchase fun, and that is unheard of. Heck, I think I even got a good deal!
What an exciting time. Got exactly what I wanted.at a fair price they even beat my own banks interest rate. I am customer for life
The sales person (Jeff) said we had a 3 month 3000 mile warranty on the 2016 Chrysler 200 we purchased. Theres an issue with the transmission shifting hard. The service dept said I have never heard of that! LIES LIES LIES. I havent made the first payment and they want me to give them $139.00 to check the car out How about YOU show ME where YOU checked the car out before YOU sold me a lemon!
I originally gave a 5 star rating for the buying experience we had when we purchased our Brand new Buick Enclave 11/9/2018. However, since then, it’s been a nightmare. We never received payment info so we called the lending company 12/24/18 when our first payment was scheduled to inquire how we should make the payment. They had no record of our loan. We called Step One and they said, “well, it was submitted, so I don’t know what to tell you.” We then called another number for the lending company, just to be told the same thing. Once again, called Step One, spoke to Kyle, and he discovered they had dropped the ball and never sent the paperwork. They called and said it was submitted and we could come by to make the payment at the dealership. (Somehow, it was our responsibility to be inconvenienced because of their failure). We did stop by, however, they were too busy to assist us because they were busy making new sales instead of taking care of the one they should have already handled. We have now had to pay 2 additional payments on the vehicle that we traded in and NO LONGER POSSESS! We called again yesterday (1/2/19) and told them we are about to be charged a 3rd time for a vehicle we no longer have and still haven’t been able to make the 1st payment on the vehicle we do have. Spoke to 2 people, and was supposed to receive a call by yesterday afternoon. Surprise... no call received. I am up and ready to head to the dealership this morning, and let’s just say I have 2 months of frustration built up and ready to discuss with anyone and everyone until I get answers.DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GROUP!!! Absolutely worst experience we’ve ever had!
Mark deLaVega was great to work with at Subaru in Ft Walton Beach. Highly recommend working with Mark.
I purchased a vehicle from step one automotive about a year ago. I had a great experience until I tried to go trade my car in on a new one. As it turns out step one did not disclose to me that this car had been wrecked. I asked at the time of purchase if there had been anything done by the previous owners. I was told no. The car was in brand new condition. My trade and resale value decreased substantially. I WILL never purchase another car from step one again. I recommend you do your research on your own before buying a car from them.
I made a few visits by myself into the dealer before finally making the purchase. Every time I visited Eric Rieger greeted me with a welcome back. Finally brought the wife in over the weekend and there he was. Friendly smile welcoming me back and thanking us for coming in. This was the most pleasurable car buying experience Ive ever had. Eric was attentive to what we wanted and what we were looking for. Every part of the deal from sales to finance was awesome. Want a no haggle, no pressure, friendly buying experience, head on over there and check these guys out. You wont be sorry.
While having my jeep repaired at Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT Ft. Walton located at, 541 Mary Esther Cut Off NW, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548, the Light Bar was removed (stolen) from the Jeep. 2 weeks ago, I went to pick up the jeep from dealership and noticed immediately (when technician brought vehicle around) the light bar was missing. Although it was EXTREMELY obvious with the empty bracket holes, not to mention the jeep was dusty/dirty with the exception the missing light bar area which seemed free of dust/dirt, yet the technician refused to acknowledge my concern. I repeatedly stated the light bar was missing and he told me I would have to take it up with management. I proceeded to service desk and informed personnel of situation, to which I was told I needed to file a police report. I immediately contacted pd, to which an officer responded and found personnel to be unaccommodating and informed that NONE of their surveillance cameras were operable. Appears this is nothing new to law enforcement regarding this dealership.I waited a week for report to get completed/filed and retrieved hard copy and delivered to Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT of Ft. Walton.Fast forward another week and still no response. On the 2nd of October, I finally made contact with service manager to which he stated I would need to contact my insurance company regarding the $900 accessory.I am flabbergasted that I took my vehicle to a DEALERSHIP for service/maintenance whereas theft occurred and I am being told I would have to file on my insurance. Makes no sense to me.
Had my vehicle serviced late last year was told it be a week in a half for the repairs came time for the day of completion called to be told they were too busy to get to it on that day so I waited another day like they asked called again and was told the same thing this cycle continued for several weeks finally got my vehicle back long after the intial date I was told it be done. Alright Im upset that it took so long but I figured it was to ensure complete work a week after getting my car back it breaks down on the side of the road and I call only to be told there is nothing they will do for me so I sat and waited for almost 3 hours to be able to restart my vehicle to drive back I get there and they check my engine codes only to tell me there is a new issue why wasnt this taken care of initially? So after being told it is another 2000 on top of the 4000 that was already paid I said no and have a different place do the work but I still kept having issues and codes being set fr the original issue come to find out my Pcm was never reset and they had dropped garbage into the radiator area that jammed my AGS causing more issues really irritated and dissatisfied with the service I also am a mechanic and if I had a customer come back as many times as I did I wouldve made it right but I guess they have a different agenda then I would for my customers
Way overpriced, takes advantage of seniors, when questioned they offered a refund then changed their mind. Stay away!
So...I went to the Step One Automotive on Mary Esther Cut Off today to get a recall fixed that had been done but not done properly and talked with Ken Fisk. First off Ken was rude and defensive right off the bat, why? I have no idea. I understand he just works there and ultimately it has nothing to do with him but he acted like he was going to have and pay for the fix out of his own pocket. He made me call Chrysler to see if they would pay for it and they said they would (Every time Chrysler called him to talk with him about it he ignored the call, I watched him) he still said it was up to his Area Manager that he informed me was above Chrysler, I said Oh, I didnt realize he was the Area Manager and the CEO of Chrysler Im supposed to drop it off there tomorrow to get it worked on but I do not trust them with my vehicle. Ken Fisk should not be representing Chrysler, needless to say I will not be back EVER to that dealership.
Alfa romeo in pensacola is a joke. Went to test drive their flagship vehicle and it took them 15 minutes to tell let me know it was “being shown” in fwb. Called fwb and they had no clue.
Best company to buy a car from
Thieves. Charged my 81 year old father $634 for one oxygen sensor replacement. When I asked for an explanation they offered a partial refund. Three weeks later mo refund. Said they changed their mind. Stay far away from these price gougers.
Great group to work with, found the used care that I was looking for at a great price friendly General Manager good experience.
This place is an absolute joke. Salespeople are a joke as well as the finance people. Sat all afternoon to be told our payments would be over a thousand dollars and they never ran my credit. When asked I was told that is how they do it. Seriously??? You can tell me my rate and what I would even be approved for without consulting the bank?? If you buy a car here it will probably be one of the biggest mistakes you could make. I went down to Lee Nissan and couldn’t of had a better experience.. Buyer beware. And why do I have to give a star? They don’t deserve a piece of a star let alone a whole star.
I have received service from Step One Automotive for 5+ years, and numerous times my service advisor was Ken Sisk. Every time I have received nothing but the utmost and professional service from Ken and other service writers. I cant speak specifically to the situation Mr. Ryan Saiz had with Mr. Ken Sisk, but I will go on record that this is uncharacteristic of the treatment I have received from Ken and the Step One Automotive Group. Additionally, if you were to do a search on RYAN JOSEPH SAIZ, you would find three arrests for assault (2 locally and 1 in Jacksonville), with one of them being on a police officer. Due to his conduct, one might be led to believe that he is a poor judge of character and his credibility is flawed. This is my sole opinion, and not that of Step One Automotive.
Back in March 2018 I had my Ram 2500 AC repaired under warranty. Now at the end of August my AC has stopped working. I went by the dealer to have them repair the AC fixed again. I am told that I will have to suffer for the next 2 weeks at 100° temperatures. It is their problem to fix but it is mine to deal with. Thank you One Step Automotive. I guess I will have to repair the AC at my own cost. I will bring the bill to them but I doubt the will give I single thought.
Truly amazing! I went in today without an appointment. They were so busy, but made sure that I knew I was important to them. They took my car in and got it out very quickly. Almost an hour before the original time we had spoken of.Huge kudos to Rebecca and Shawn (not sure about spelling) in service for going above and beyond! The two of them are very funny, and made it actually fun to be there. They are very funny together.Cannot stress enough how over the top the service department was! Hats off, and great job!
I wish I could rate them zero stars. Wasted 8 hours of my time and did not do what they stated they would do when I set up the appointment. Called four times left three messages over 7 hour period and they just ignored them all until I showed up in person and the work I had a 0730 appointment for hadnt even been touched at 3pm. Took my business elsewhere, highly suggest you do the same.
Great customer service from everyone. Christine helped me find the perfect truck for my growing business. The process was very easy no hassle at all. They didnt pressure me to get something I couldnt afford.
I absolutely HATE the car buying process...whether paying cash, no trade, not even trying to get a better deal it has always been a terrible experience (4 vehicles) lasting four hours or more until now! Our salesman Tyler was helpful, courteous and fair. Michael in finance was fast and friendly. I shared my past experiences and they said they would try to get me and my daughter out in an hour...THEY DID! I will absolutely be back to buy MY car as soon as my daughter leaves for college.UPDATE: As promised, I went back to them to buy a car for myself, but sadly, all those “fees” had all of a sudden been implemented. Ended up going to CarMax in Pensacola and couldn’t be happier.
Travis and Alex Rock! They were quick to help and do everything they could to get me the best deal possible! Would definitely recommend anyone in the market for a new car to go see them!
Absolutely the worst car dealership in the nation. Buyer beware!
Just purchased a used vehicle from Kia, FWB. I tried to find a way to contact a manager of Step One Automotive Group, but I could not find an email address, so here goes.First of all our salesman was great. He admitted he still was in training as so were most of the employees there. We agreed upon a trade deal and then waited a total of 5 hrs. on a Sat. to try and get the car we purchased detailed (the car was filthy when we test drove it) and a few minor things fixed. Also majority of the time was spent waiting for the finance guy to finish our paperwork. At the end of 5 hr, we gave up, finance guy was I guess behind and our car was not going to be detailed that night. (It was now 6 pm) We made an appt to come back on Mon. to hopefully finish the paperwork.Monday, finance person was ready, did paperwork and car was cleaned appropriately. I did ask about oil change and was told there should be a sticker on window. This was at night so I just presumed I missed the sticker. When we got home and looked at car more thoroughly, there was no oil sticker and according the the carfax report, the rear window wiper blade was replaced, yet it is missing. We also noted the electric right front passenger window button does not work when operated by the drivers side. When the rear wiper blade is turned on, it sounds like the bearings or whatever is worn out. Very loud and obnoxious. We are old fashioned, I guess, cause we have purchased many used cars in our lifetime and so far all of these cars were screened appropriately by the car dealership and in our experience we never purchased a used car with nonfunctioning instruments. Thank goodness we decided to purchase an extended warranty that we were told covers everything, so we will find out if this is indeed true. By the way, our car is not old and only has 30,0000. All in all would we like to buy a car from this group again, no. Not impressed with Step One.
My vehicle broke down on the way to test drive a used SUV & the staff went out of their way to help us before we even decided to buy the vehicle. I got more than I expected within our budget! John Woodard was so personable & there was no pressure from him or any of the staff! Im so grateful for my initial contact with Jennifer & our ultimate purchase with John (Woody); this sales experience could not have been better! Thank you all!!!
We went in to look at vehicles with a purchase limit in mind. The salesman that snagged us, Curt, was less than helpful and right at rude. He made no attempt to gain our business. We walked in pre-approved with a lender and that put him off right out of the gate. We haggled a little bit over prices and originally decided that we couldnt agree. We called back and offered him what he asked and he still said it wasnt enough. He flipped prices back and forth as if we were customers who couldnt afford to make a purchase. I would not recommend this company for a vehicle purchase and certainly not Curt.
Step One Automotive Group Dealerships, Are Run & Financed By Brazilian Thugs . Boycott them at all cost .If not you will be ripped off ...
I purchased a car from here a year ago this month. Motor fell apart in November & I had to get the whole thing rebuilt. Now there is another problem & it’s currently not running. I’ve reached out twice this week to speak with someone to see if they can help or we can work something out and I have not heard back.
Shop around on internet and competition before you make a purchase. Got a much better deal in Pensacola for same vehicle. A lot more on trade in than what they offered. Better financing offer in Pensacola. Saved a lot of money with just a little reseach
Terrible service department. I had my oil changed and my tires rotated. At the next service interval the dealer I went to in Texas since that is where I live could not get the tires off my truck. The locking lugs had been over tightened. I called The dealer and Kenny the service manager would not return my call. The dealer in Houston, TX had to cut the locks off. It cost me $600.00 and 2 days of being without my truck to get this done. I went back to Florida and brought my receipt from Houston Expecting them to make it good and reimburse me for the expense since it was there fault. The service manager, Kenny said I should have driven it back to Florida knowing if I would have had a flat there would be no way of changing it. I then went to the Service Director Shon Kingrey and explained the situation to him. He call the Houston dealer and spoke to the Service Manager there to confirm what had to be done. He then agreed to repay me and have his corporate office send me a check for reimbursement. As of today 03/08/2019 I still have not received a check.
What a joke they have a support team that is a non support team they have no clue about the car business they are all about themselves trying to make you think they care about the community but it is all about Fernando looking good they don’t care about employees they want non talented people that thay dont have to pay and they think their process will get results they suck
This shady organization treats its employees like garbage, also if you purchase here dont expect your trade to be paid off anytime soon, you WILL get a call from your lender saying its past due. Several illegal practices, look in any desk and you can find personal information like social security numbers and pay information. Run dont walk way from working or purchasing here.
Absolutely great! Even without an appt they took my vehicle right in and completed my service quickly. They were very professional! I intend to use them as my regular providers in the future. Jessica was my service advisor and Mr Duvall in the parts dept was helpful, also.
Absolute worst service in the area. Mike in the service department doesn’t return calls and has had my vehicle for 14 days. Very rude service. The drive to another dealership would be well worth it
