If you cant find it at Gatlin, they will get it for you. And if not, you really dont need it! Old time hardware store and lumber yard, very experienced staff and super customer service oriented. Highly Recommended

U dont want to work there. Theres a girl running the warehouse. She talks down to the employees. She cant handle the job. I love the owner but the warehouse, u dont want to work at . Her name is Amber

No choice but to update this and downgrade their star rating again. I should probably give one star but I’m gonna go with two for now. I had some plywood and lots of 1x2 left over so I brought it in for return. Could not conceive I had so over ordered on the 1x2 and realized they included 176 12 foot boards instead of the 176 linear feet I needed (And had submitted to them in writing). My bad for not catching that in the original invoice but it was just one item in a very large order. Well, they made me feel like a liar and a cheat in the whole process. They rejected 3 out of seven pieces of plywood in the warehouse (two had a few marks from something that had dripped in them, see the picture). When I brought the return ticket to the general manager I saw that they had written down that they kept 3 and rejected 4 (exactly backwards). I told her and said let me walk out to my truck to confirm. I did and came back and told her again. She processed the return and I left. Worst of all, At the stoplight down the street I looked at the credit slip and see she only credited me for 3! Are you kidding?I went back to address this with her and she tells me she can only go by what the warehouse guys wrote down. I asked her if she thought I was lying to her. For goodness sake. I asked her to ask the guys in the warehouse and she agreed to go back with me to ask. She again told me that she can only go by what they write down and something about there she is not responsible. I pointed out that she is the general manager and of course she is responsible for what her people do. The warehouse confirmed that they accepted 4 and we went up front for her to correct the credit slip. On the way she tells me she does not appreciate me dressing her down and that I had not told her about the count error. I never raised my voice, was firm but respectful and did not use improper language. I believe she may not have heard/processed what I said at least twice, perhaps three times, but giving her ALL the benefit of the doubt, she was not listening to her former customer. By far the most frustrating customer treatment I have endured in a very very long time. My recommendation is that you buy from someone else and avoid this place. If you want to ignore this advice, contact me and I will sell you my store credit at a discount 🤨Ok, I am updating below review and reducing to three stars based on several recent interactions. I made two recent orders for delivery and both were a mess. At its core, the issue has been very poor communication. Stuff missing, deliveries not made as promised, calls promised but not actually made. All very frustrating. I am moving to a new provider.Great service. I had loaded lumber and was headed down the road. Stopped to make sure things were secure and one of their drivers saw me. He waved me over and helped me get things strapped down better. Thank you!

Extremely Rude, worst customer service Ive ever experienced. If you return something they belittle you for ordering it in the first place and do everything possible to not accept the return. I will never return and honestly no one should do business with this place!

This used to be a good company. Apparently they are under new ownership or management. Expect more than 10% of the goods to arrive in unusable condition and when you try to return them within the tiny 48 hour period they allot, it will be a huge hassle. They will also treat you as if you are in the wrong or trying to swindle them, so that’s fun. In the end you will waste lots of money and, more importantly, time dealing with them. Sad to say, but you will probably get a better deal and better quality product at lowes or home depot and have zero hassle if by chance the order is not satisfactory. Hodges lumber is not too far away, so if you want to support local business i recommend going there instead. RIP gatlin lumber, never going there again.

This place has been a life saver for as long as I can remember. They seem to always have the hard to find items that nobody else carries.The staff is very knowledgeable and super nice.

Would not take order over phone. Was told must place first order in person at the store due to theft issues. Was told the materials would be at the store the next day so no worries on delays. They eventually delivered the wrong materials two weeks late. This will cost me over $120 per day in delays due to hotel costs alone plus the aggravation and having better things to do with my time than deal with them. And the prices are inflated. Back to big box and no more trying to support the little guy.

Wouldnt recommend. Prices are near gouging. The wood isnt the quality youd expect for the price, either. Cashiers are condescending and made me feel like I was bothering them. I felt bad I had to interrupt two of the clerks to ask where Id find O rings. They didnt seem to happy either, I could tell they were disgusted with me... :(Thankfully, I went to ACE hardware and they sold me a whole box of assorted O-rings for the price that Gatlin wanted for two 1/4 O-Rings.Lowes did me right on the 2x4s as well. I saved more than I thought I would have. The 2x4s were straight and square too. They seemed happy to assist me as well.If you need wood, youd be much better off going to Lowes. Youll save a lot and get higher quality.

Great service, they help you load everything, and they have the good stuff you wont find at the box chain stores. If your serious about homebuilding, than you shop Gatlin lumber...

Would not recommend tried to purchase 5 gallon gas cans they had 5 at $60.00 dollars each they are definitely price gouging. Way to help out!!!!! Will be reported stay away from this business

So rude!! These guys are unpleasant as soon as you walk in. Expensive on lumber and hardware. I normally try to shop local but they arent an option anymore. Ill go to a big name store before I come back.
