I was in to the Heritage location about a week ago and had the best service. I saw Dr. Colvin and she was wonderful during the exam. She answered all my questions that I had about my vision. Then I went out to the front and had a nice experience with the girl that helped me. I don’t remember her name but she helped get me out of my comfort zone with my glasses. I am excited to get them in soon. Thank you for your help again this year.

Dr Colvin and her entire staff are wonderful. They are friendly and professional and treat you like you are the only patient in the office with their undivided attention. I would highly recommend this office.

Dr. Colvin is one of the best eye doctors around here. My family of 4 have been going to Dr. Colvin for regular eye exams, contact, and lenses for more than 10 years now. Recently I have raised an issue involving one of her staff. My intention was to let her know that one may cause damage to her good reputation. And it requires some coaching. She personally called me the next day spent more than 30 minutes understanding the issues and fixing them. I was very satisfied with the way she handled it. It was more than my expectation. I would recommend Dr. Colvin and her facility to all my friends and family without a second thought.

I have FINALLY found an eye doctor that cares about me as a patient instead of running me through their office like cattle. My insurance gives a big discount if we used America’s Best eye care and I have not liked them from the beginning cause they simply do not have the customer service I like. From the minute I walked into Heritage eye care I was treated with respect and dignity. Dr Colvin-Deares took care in understanding my needs. I am a truck driver at night so I rely HEAVILY on being able to see at night, and she took care in really listening to what I was needing. I worked with Donna to pick out glasses and told her that I was really needing a pair of glasses that was light weight and would also fit good inside a helmet cause I ride a motorcycle also. She took her time in helping me find what I needed. If you are like me and was really looking for an eye doctor that treats you like a friend and not cattle then this is your place.

What an excellent eye care clinic and store! This is one of the best Ive been to in the country, having lived in 8 different states! The staff are so compassionate, competent, and ready to meet the needs of the customer. The doctors are excellent also. A brief example of the type of services they provide...I purchased my glasses there, which were very affordable. They were able to get the exact pair I wanted and I was able to use my Carecredit card, which some retailers dont accept. The other day I stopped in off my bike ride, because theyre in the neighborhood, and needed the nose pads adjusted because they werent big enough. The helpful staff had me in and out in 15 minutes with larger pads that wear well and more comfortable with sunglasses at no cost to me!! I cant recommend this place enough!! We need more like it in the area. Many businesses can learn from their philosophy of treating the customer like gold.

Just came out of my yearly eye checkup. Autumn was awesome! She is very nice, polite, professional, fun, informative, and someone who made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. Dr. Hargrove was as well. Easy to talk to with a positive attitude, clear and concise with her testing. Whole visit was quick and over with, no pushing to purchase more add ons, clean environment, and as this review is posted during the pandemic, all staff wore masks.

I absolutely adore Dr. Colvin. She is very kind, compassionate, and so down-to-earth. Years ago she was the first doctor who was able to successfully get me into contacts. So shes been my doctor ever since. Highly recommend!

My initial impression was very positive about this place. Very professional, clean and well operated. The staff is courteous and responsive to feedback. I will always go back to this place.

I am extremely disappointed in my experience. I do not have good vision and my prescription is outside what the average person needs, but it has always been able to be corrected to a 20/20 vision with contacts. They missed badly with the initial contact prescription. They were reluctance to see people during Covid so they did not bring me in to recheck their work. Twice they made adjustments to the prescription without seeing me and hoped they were getting it closer with guessing what needed to be changed. Both were just as bad as the first. I was frustrated. Dr. Colvin called and apologized and admitted they should have brought me back in and not handled it the way it was handled. She saw me and ordered another trial pair of the contacts. That pair was as bad as the others. This happened two more times. All seemed to be very similar and not even close to giving me vision like I have with an old pair of contacts I am still wearing. She then suggested I go to a hard contact because it will give me the best vision. That prescription was marginally better but not good. I have never had to wear hard lenses to correct my vision and they were extremely uncomfortable. They were horrible about following up, ordering the lenses and calling me when they were in. There was no follow up by their office like I was told there will be. After almost a full year of this going on, 5 different pairs of trials, giving up on their part and trying to switch me to hard lenses, they never even came close to getting me a pair of contacts that were even in the ballpark. After last pair of trials, I never got another follow up to see how they were and to set an appointment to come back in. I guess they just gave up. I certainly gave up on them. I would not recommend this group to anyone.***Edit*** After my review, I got a call from Amanda. Again, they apologized, and offered to bring me in to try again, but I declined. I feel like they have had enough attempts to get it right and were unable to. I am not mad, I am just disappointed and ready to move on.

If you need eye care look (pardon the pun) at only this place. Great staff and professional.

This was my first experience getting glasses, and every employee I met went above and beyond to genuinely earn my business. From the front desk staff, to Breanna helping me pick my frames, to Emily adjusting them and making sure they were a perfect fit, everyone was beyond helpful. I will certainly return for all future eye care needs.

Im not one to post anything on social media but the experience I recieved from Emily at Heritage Family Eye Care was outstanding. She personally took a disappointing situation and made it into a perfect experience. I had just about given up on my situation until Emily stepped in. I can totally see why they have such a great rating. From the moment you make your appointment, you are treated with the upmost respect. I was able to get an appointment with ease. The facility is clean and well maintained. The service is amazing. I didnt feel rushed at any point of my appointment. Dr. Gill was thorough when answering my questions as well as the tech who assisted me with my eye tests. When choosing my glasses, the young lady ( with long red hair) helping me was very attentive and patient. She definitely made me feel comfortable with my choice of frames. This place is top notch.

I had night blindness, and couldn’t drive after the sun set. I came here and they gave me my first pair of glasses. Its the lowest prescription but It changed my life! The night glare and light blur is gone! I can finally drive after dark and feel comfortable because now I can see! Yay! I’m soooo grateful and happy! This place is terrific!

I went here reluctantly after my wife convinced me to come in. First off, I have never worn glasses nor have I ever had this level of an eye exam performed. I always passed the eye chart with flying colors, but have been having some difficulties lately with night driving and reading my coursework. I dismissed it as being tired and the fact that Masters programs require a hefty amount of reading. Plus, I work with computers most of the day so naturally my eyes must be fine...I explained I was uncomfortable from the start and the team made me feel at ease with their pleasant personalities and customer service. The equipment was interesting (that eye pressure test sucks!) but they made it quick and painless. After my exam, it turns out I need glasses... this came as some unnatural weight that I cant really explain, but the team did a great job of helping me pick out frames and they were really patient as I tried to process all of this. Their selection seemed a little small at first, but in the end I am beyond thankful they didnt have a wall like those big stores do. I am still waiting for my frames, but it hasnt even been a week yet.Long story short, the team was great and everyone seemed to be really happy and friendly. I will be going back, besides to pick up my order, for future exams. These guys made this thing not suck so bad. Thank you guys!

So happy I decided to be patient of Heritage Family Eye care. The service is excellent and the staff is very professional. I had to cancel my glasses order and they actually called me to verify the reason for the cancellation and to make sure they didnt do anything wrong. Highly recommended this office.

Had a great experience going for my annual eye exam. This place has everything - tons of frames both name brand and non name brand. The prices were reasonable for the eye exam including the eye scan which is half of what Ive seen it at other places. Would definitely recommend!

I have been going here forever and I am always amazed with the service. Seems to get better and better. They are quick, genuine and do whatever they can to help. Most recently, I lost my glasses and they were able to get me new glasses same day! Like in 20 min!! Love this place

I bought a pair of glasses and a pair of sun glasses from this location. I think the staff are great, but I have only had my glasses for six months and I’m already on my second lens replacement. The coating on the glasses keeps scratching even though I’m only using the cleaner they provided. I also feel like they are blaming me for the ineffective lenses suggesting that I am not cleaning them effectively. I have a pair of 8 year old glasses from lens crafters and I’ve never had this problem...and I usually use dish soap to wash them...Update:Office manager called me back to review the situation and rectified the situation. Very impressed with follow through!

Ive been visiting Heritage Family EyeCare for a couple of years and could not be more impressed with everything about it - from the ease of scheduling an appointment and insurance verification, to the exam, through selecting glasses and/or contacts, and the patient care in between visits! This is a long review, sorry, but definitely well worth the read! 1st thing - I needed to get temporary contacts for my daughter who was a new patient so she couldnt get in for a few weeks & was in desperate need of replacement contacts so they told me to come by & theyd give us a trial pair.....I showed up at 6:57 thinking the door wouldve already been locked, but it wasnt....& thought I wouldve gotten attitude b/c I showed up right at closing time & Im sure they were wanting to leave.....but instead they were SO nice...they even called our previous eye Dr. office to find out what type of contacts could be substituted for the ones theyd had her in b/c they didnt recognize the name/brand of what she was currently in! They couldve easily never said anything & just given me something else without looking into it & I wouldve never know the difference, but the fact that they took the time to do that when it was the end of their day & I know they wanted to get out of there & go home to their families, really meant a lot.....that kind of thing to me is the difference between a mediocre Dr.s office & an amazing Dr.s office!!!! 2nd thing - We had to use a different eye Dr for a year b/c of my insurance, this office wasnt on that insurance...but on my new insurance this year we were able to come back here & I was soooo glad b/c the difference in the other place we had to go & here was like night & day! The other place was one of those chain places, for lack of a better word, & it seemed like it was just like a cheap knock off version of an eye Dr. office, including the staff....it just wasnt a good quality eye Dr. For instance, one of my daughters got contacts at the other office & the lady who was supposed to be teaching her how to put in & take out her contacts basically just told her how she does her own....didnt even demonstrate at all....& so of course she was struggling b/c she had no clue what she was doing & Ive never worn contacts so I was no help, & it was very obvious that she was struggling & having a hard time, but all the lady kept telling her was just do it however it works for you...that was it! So my other daughter got contacts just a few weeks ago & the staff at Heritage Family Eyecare were so incredibly helpful with teaching her how to use hers! The girl demonstrated by putting in & taking out her own contacts so she could see what to do....helped her with putting one in when she saw she was having a hard time instead of just sitting there watching her! She gave her tips & pointers & advice on how to care for them, how to put them in & take them out, all kinds of stuff....& even told her some things on the care for them that even my other daughter whos already been in contacts for over a year now didnt know b/c the other place never told her any of that stuff!! I would recommend Heritage Eyecare to anyone looking for a new eye Dr. or anyone who doesnt absolutely love their current eye Dr. b/c they are seriously awesome!!

The staff from start to finish were truly amazing. They made me feel right at home as if Id known them all my life. The level of expertise from each member was so unexpected and a breath of fresh air. I was expecting the same lackluster treatment Ive come to know from all the other competitors. This was not the case. I recommend if you are in need of eyewear, an eye exam or just want to see whats the latest technology in the optical field I would suggest Heritage Family Eyecare. I have been going do Dr. Colvin for years. I still use her for my eye exams even though I moved to a different state. My experiences with previous optometrists and getting the correct eye prescription was not very good, so it is worth scheduling my appointment when I visit Keller instead of any eye doctor near me.Dr. Colvin detected astigmatism and my new prescription has considerably improved my blurry night vision while driving. Heritage has great staff and all the latest sunglasses. They do a much better job at picking the best looking frames for my face, so I just let them choose for me. I get compliments on my glasses from people which is something that did not happen before going to Heritage Family EyeCare.

I’d like to share a little story about how Dr. Anjonette Colvin at Heritage Family Healthcare recently helped a friend of mine not only with her vision, but with the lives of so many others.My friend’s name is Cyndi Bunch. She’s a single mom and works extremely hard to make ends meet. Her main passion in life is the faith-based non-profit organization she and her son (Phillip) started many years ago called Phillip’s Wish. Phillip’s Wish helps the homeless and operates out of a building called The Transfer Center on East Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth (along with several other faith-based nonprofits). The Transfer Center, which was opened late last year, has already served thousands of warm meals to the homeless along with several hundred sleeping bags, personal hygiene kits, clothing, furniture, and more. They also help the homeless find work and housing.Back to Dr. Colvin and Cyndi, Dr. Colvin found Cyndi on Facebook and they immediately forged a friendship. Cyndi told Dr. Colvin that she hasn’t had an eye examination in many years and has basically lost her vision because she’s only been able to afford store bought glasses, which she uses for both reading and distance. Dr. Colvin invited Cyndi in for a full eye exam, gave her a new prescription (badly needed), and helped her with new contacts and glasses. Cyndi’s vision was now restored. But Dr. Colvin’s generosity didn’t end there...Dr. Colvin also learned about the Transfer Center and their need to finish out their restroom facilities so the homeless would have a place to go in privacy, cleanliness and comfort. She gave an extremely generous donation right on the spot to help finish out the plumbing, which has already begun.Thanks to Dr. Colvin, Cyndi not only has new vision but many homeless in Fort Worth will be greatly helped by the new facilities at the Transfer Center, which would not be possible without the financial assistance of Dr. Colvin (and her husband). In Dr. Colvin, Cyndi not only found a wonderful doctor but a friend for life with a heart of gold to match her own.

The entire staff there are wonderful. Having had many optometrists in the past I must say the level of professionalism by the staff and Dr. Anji Colvin far exceeded my expectations. My husband and I live in Garland and dont give a second thought to making the drive to Keller to have our eyes examined and to get our eyes examined and our prescriptions filled by Dr. Colvin.I cant speak more highly of Dr. Colvin and her staff. Trust me when I say you will be impressed by the level of attention and service that they provide.

I cant say enough good things about Heritage Family Eyecare. The staff and Dr. Colvin were very good at their jobs and also extremely pleasant to work with.I had gone to a different optometrist in the area to get contacts and glasses. After several attempts to get the contacts right, and after receiving glasses that werent right, I decided to try Heritage Family Eyecare. I had Lasik monovision done several years ago. I also have an astigmatism, and I am no longer a Spring Chicken (although I would like to think I am). Apparently that is a tough combination to fix. But Dr. Colvin was extremely patient and dedicated to make sure that I had the right contacts and the right glasses (for when I dont feel like wearing contacts).I am so grateful to Dr. Colvin and her staff. They are fantastic.

I want to thank Dr. Colvin for her generosity in helping a pt who is receiving home health services with my agency. Due to limited resources, our patient was unable to afford a pair of glasses which he desperately needed because of his diabetes and was driving without glasses. Dr. Colvin may have saved many lives in obtaining the pts prescription from his eye dr. in Florida and having a pair of glasses delivered to his door at NO charge to the patient. He and his wife, who was scared when driving with her husband, were extremely thankful to Dr. Colvin for her help. As a social worker, it is very difficult finding medical professionals to donate their time and resources. Medicare, which serves elderly and disabled individuals, only pays for the exam but not the eye glasses. This patient literally had to choose between buying food or glasses. Thank you Dr. Colvin!! I wish I could find more doctors like you!
