Outstanding Service! My door was replaced approx 6 months ago but started to have problems with door retracting ad making metal to metal noises. Herman came out to make some adjustments, added an additional support beam to give the door stability. However, he encountered another issue which needed further investigation by the warranty manager. Chris Smith came out to access and advised what was needed. My garage door had been on strike for some time. I finally called for what I thought would be a tune-up. It turned out that several essential parts needed to be replaced. Josh came a day early and went to work. He was pleasant, courteous, knowledgeable and a hard worker. I thought the price was fair for the work, parts and time involved.I felt so sorry for him - hes allergic to cats and my garage is home to all the local homeless cats and thus full of hair and dander. Steven came out today to fix a broken spring on my garage door in Keller. He explained to me that the spring I had was not the correct one and suggested I go with two springs since I had a larger door. He was able to complete the work same day. He also did a tune up on the door. The door works much better now. Very smooth and much quieter. Steven did a great job. After my 1 Star review/post, FCD reviewed their website and determined it did not have clear and specific details regarding what service(s) did NOT qualified for the “Free Service Charge”. This demonstrate even good companies can, if you the customer are not aware are influenced by the power of words to induce and entice you to call, only to find out that “Free service calls” did not apply. Had they only taken the time, as responsible Christian folks, to grasp the power of “Free” would they understand how this influences and manipulates a customer’s decision(s). They’d also have understood it was disingenuous and misleading. It’s always a disclaimer to say you never meant to mislead after the fact. The fact is/was you did mislead even if said you did not mean to. Thank you kindly and respectfully for finally clearing this up.

The spring broke on your two car garage door (in Aledo, Texas), trapping our car inside, and we were able to get someone out the same day to fix it. Our garage door spring broke in half around 9:30pm on a Thursday night. I called a few companies from the Val-Pak coupons and everyone told me they could send someone Friday morning. One company stated they would charge a $149 emergency fee. I had seen Family Christian Doors at various trade shows and my wife has one of their reusable bags. We called and were told someone could come to our home within two hours. About five minutes later, Trevor Peters called stating he would be here in about 15 minutes. He was professional every step of the way. He explained everything thoroughly from replacing the broken spring with two lifetime springs and upgrading a few other things so that the door could operate better. He even performed a tune up of my opener and we opted to replace our basic rollers with some that are steel and have ball bearings (pro grade). I couldn’t be happier with the service, especially after Trevor went over a safety demo of our door. Outstanding service and reasonable price. I paid less than $500 to pretty much overhaul my basic door components after standard work hours.

Although I spent considerably more than I had planned, I believe the Service Tech, Trevor, gave me the real outlook instead of letting me band aid the situation. He walked me through every step of the way. I did the math and having not serviced the garage ever, it came out to the cost of the service. So, no worry about getting ripped off. ASA repaired my garage in Denton. Before his arrival he called me to reschedule my appointment for a time earlier than the time I had originally scheduled, which I appreciated; he thereafter called to tell me his estimated arrival time, which I appreciated; and he arrived exactly when when said he would, which I appreciated. He competently explained the repairs he suggested and gave me alternatives to them. The real shocker was that without my requesting so, he called his office to ask about available discounts. Last week, I called Family Christian Doors to inspect and service my cedar doors in Southlake. Trevor Peters did a great job replacing my garage door opener. He was very patient guiding me through the phone app set-up....as if he had all the time in the world! I would highly recommend them.

I can’t say enough great things about this company. They originally replaced a spring in May 2016. It broke again yesterday morning. I called and they got a repairman out by 4:00 the same day. It was also covered under a 5 year warranty. I only had to pay the labor charge. Riley was super professional, knowledgeable and efficient. I will always use this company because I feel like honesty is the number one priority. Thank you!!!

Family Christian doors did a Great job! From initial phone call to Steven King arriving an hour later to replace and update the spring system on my broken garage door in North Richland Hills. He explained what was best and got to work and finished in an hour. He was kind and thorough and answered all of my questions with patience. I read all the reviews before calling and was hopeful for good service. They went above and beyond and I really appreciated the quick help.

I had a couple of new garage door openers installed here in Keller. Steven King came out within a couple hours of the call and had two completely installed in 2 hours. Looks great, works great! Very glad I called. Thanks guys!

Outstanding service is provided by Family Christian Doors. When we got ready to go to a play on a Saturday night, we discovered our existing garage door system failed trapping both cars in the garage. We called around 7:30 pm and reached a young man who was patient, knowledgeable and helpful. He made arrangements to send a technician to help us early on Sunday morning.Sunday morning a staff member showed up and helped us get the cars out of the garage in time to make it to church, diagnosed our problem and gave us a proposal to fix the system. Monday morning the same technician - Trevor - showed up and repaired our door, installed stronger springs, and lubricated the moving parts. We. are more than satisfied. We have a much more reliable system which has been strengthened given needed maintenance.Our family would recommend FCD without reservation.

Asa arrived on time when promised, assessed the problem, offered repair options, and delivered what I requested. Tommy Lee replaced torsion spring in Sanger. Excellent job, very prompt as the spring broke last night at 830 and I was back in business by 1230 the next day. Tech was courteous and efficient. Arrived early after calling to make sure it was ok. Highly recommend if you need garage door work.

Asa came to my home in North Richland Hills to do a repair on my garage door. He was extremely knowledgeable, very professional, courteous and friendly. He did a great job. Went above and beyond what was required. He knew my financial situation and worked very well with that. No pressure at all to do things that were not necessary. Chris is an incredible employee. He made the experience of having to have our door opener checked out a painless one. While there he adjusted everything on the door and greased the moving parts to make sure it operated properly. We miscommunicated about a followup issue and after discussing it we opted to simply go until we need the new operator. He was willing to adjust his schedule to make sure we were taken care of and that is quality service. These guys understand customer service. What a blessing.

Josh did a great job. He came over the Thanksgiving weekend and called me ahead of his arrival. He replaced all old equipment, helped me program my remotes and set up wifi. Tommy Lee came out on a Saturday call and was great. The work he did was quick and effective at replacing our broken spring. The only complaint is that the person who gave me a quote on the phone only gave me the quote for the parts and not the labor. Ask for both to get a more accurate cost.

Found these guys through an Ad in my mail. I wasn’t too sure how they were going to be even though the reviews were great.We had Asa come out to Mckinney (on time) and take a look at both of our 25 year old garage doors that no longer worked. He was fantastic at explaining each step that he recommended and why it would be beneficial. Once we understood what all needed to be done, Asa was able to go to work immediately and fix both of our doors in the same visit. Could not recommend him and the company enough for my first time using them.

We had Family Christian Doors come out this past Friday. We are long time customers who have been giving business to FCD’s ever since we’ve been homeowners and my father has always used them as well for all our garage door needs. So, Asa and another technician came out on Friday to troubleshoot our door and how it was not opening and closing all the way when the button was pushed. After 45 minutes of testing and troubleshooting, Asa still seemed baffled about what was going on. After conversing with the other technician, they told us the problem had to be a broken spring but they couldn’t verify that because the spring was inside a pipe enclosure (but they were convinced). We agreed to have the spring replaced and once the work was completed, they tested it a few times and it worked. They left and we thought we were good to go after the $490 charge. That night after I got home I tried to open the door and we had the same problem as we did before they showed up the first time. it would open/close partially but that was it. The came back out today and told me the opener was the problem and it would cost me another $500-$600 for a new one or $330 for the cheap lightweight version. I was needless to say not very happy after spending almost $500 on a spring we didn’t need. I called the office and spoke to the operating manager Vinny and he told me the $50 off on the cheapest model was the best he could do. Terrible customer service. I’m not sure if owners/management has changed in the last few years or not but this is not the customer service I’m used to getting from them. We’re very disappointed because we thought we had a company we could trust and rely on but we were obviously wrong.
