Very friendly staff and delicious food. The barn builder burger was delicious and chicken and waffles was amazing (fairly spicy though). Would love to go again if were ever in the area again.
Such a great spot. In town for a volleyball match with my son and looking for a bite nearby. Warm and welcome from the moment we walked in. I want to be besties with Katie! Lots of menu choices and great suggestions. A perfect spot to enjoy the patio and quench our hunger and thirst. Then a little stroll in the sweet downtown before hitting the road. I wish we lived closer!
Yum! Love this little place. The service and food were superb. Cant wait to go back. Definitely stop by and have brunch when you go to the country market.
The chicken and waffles dish is hands down the best I have ever eaten. The breading is light and crispy and has the right amount of spice that hugs the tender and moist chicken breast. Atop a perfectly cooked waffle dressed with butter and maple syrup.. voila Matts masterpiece. (The owner!) You can taste the passion he has for food! #shoplocallincolnway
My husband and I went to your establishment for the first time yesterday for brunch. The ladies taking our order and waitresses were incredibly nice and the food tasted amazing. We were already planning on our next visit before we even finished eating. The manager/bartender (possible owner) came out to the patio where we were dining. He acknowledged and passed seltzer samples to every single table except ours. This resulted in us feeling slighted due to being disregarded like that. We would have brushed it off if we werent literally the only ones on the patio that werent being acknowledged. To be honest, it wasnt the actual sample we wanted, we were just really confused and offended. We went inside and my husband expressed how it was odd that we were the only ones that werent spoken to or given a sample by him and we asked why this took place. The manager/owner stated that he just missed us and didnt see us. We explained that this made no sense due to the fact that we were sitting right in front and he stood by our table multiple times. He was quite dismissive and stated that they were only samples... and well do you want one then? Implying that we were really upset about having a couple sips of a hard seltzer. Clearly we were insulted and that was the only reason why we said anything. My husband is person of color and was the only person of color in the restaurant that day. We really dont want to believe that was the reason for the passive aggressive dismissal of our presence but it is quite hard to ignore this considering it was impossible to miss us coupled with his response. We are unable to come up with another reason for this experience. There were no apologies given and he clearly did not care that our feelings were hurt.We are not ones to ever complain in establishments that we visit. In the 5 years that we have been together, this was the very first time we have ever felt the need to speak up in person about an unfortunate experience. We were actually really hoping that he would apologize and be a little more empathetic about how we were feeling so we could put this behind us and come back again next weekend. I am hoping that this is just a misunderstanding and that the manager/owner learns how to handle a misunderstanding with a little more compassion.Thank you for asking for feedback regarding our experience.
Love this place! Its very close to all my friends who are around the neighborhood to just hangout and eat with great vibes. All the staff members and Brady who is usually at the front, they always know what to recommend! Beer is on point! And everyone is so nice and welcoming. Great place to meet new people too!
Kathy and Brendan were very friendly and accommodated my large party after my birthday bike ride. Brendan made great recommendations. I had spicy chicken sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their meals and reasonable prices. Our new spot on the trail to eat. Thanks!
They don’t have anything normal, I don’t understand why they can’t make a Caesar salad or a Caesar wrapWhat is easier than. BLT wrap or club wrap. All of the above would use their chicken that is the hi-lite of the restaurant Thank God they have salads….I have tried the chicken salad something they could elaborate on but they don’t. It is nothing special
Great service and great food! We did curbside pickup and the folks in the phone were super nice. And they brought the food out nicely packed. It wasn’t overly expensive either for the quality of the menu.
This was a really cute lunch/ brunch area, I loved the vibe and the aesthetics of the place. The service was fantastic! Menu had great options for both breakfast and lunch. Service was quick and professional. Everything we ordered was great! Not pictured was the chicken and waffles, which I normally do not like but theirs was fantastic !Dolce de leche frappe drink was delicious, not too sweet . We also ordered the fries which were fantastic ! Eveythibg was served fresh and hot!
The service was above anything else, they were refined, knowledgeable, quick, and attentive. The food was spectacular hitting all of the flavors were were expecting from our dishes.
The side of chips comes from a bag, (not house made) I somehow ended up with a moldy potato spud in the mix. The waitress was apologetic, but only offered new chips. A refund would have been a more apt gesture.A sandwich plus up charge for gluten free bread will cost you $16.50. This only includes a side and a sandwich, which I found on the smaller side for the price.
I grew up in Frankfort and was super excited to check this place out. Not at all now. Having been in several restaurants and been ill attended to and even not getting served for extended times and/or seated in locations that are least desirable multiple times/ my acceptance of poor service stemming from being with persons of color is non existent.A post directly called it out at this restaurant -as unfortunate as it is. It wasn’t hard to understand after reading it. The person even addressed it in a polite way and was disregarded personally and in the response to their post. This is not Ok in any sense.I do not ever plan on going to this restaurant.
The food was good and the truffle fries were very good. The spicy bbq chicken was mostly breading and a very thin chicken breast in the middle. Flavor was on point but at these prices you expect a better piece of protein in the middle of that sandwich.
I always love coming to Cultivate. Awesome homemade, consciously sourced food and a top-notch beverage program. Nice people and great service.
Well, I would like to start by saying you need to have a large budget to go here. It is definitely a higher end restaurant so you have higher price tag. With an appetizer, 2 burgers each with a side, a smoothie, a Fuze Raspberry Ice tea, and a shared rice crispy treat, & 20% tip, it was slightly over $70. However, is it well worth the money. I just want to give people a head up so they are not sticker shocked. But our burgers were double patty, gourmet cheese, and a wonderful mix of flavors that pulled it together. They dont ask how you want your burger. The truffle fries were good but need a dipping sauce. The chicken & rice soup is awesome! Overall, we will be returning as the staff was fun & kind and the food had great flavor.
The servers are all great and very welcoming! Give perfect recommendations if I don’t know what the get. The food is always delicious haven’t had anything I haven’t liked yet! And the craft beers they have on tap are delicious!
Great sandwich, I have celiac disease so the gluten free option was awesome and I talked to the owner they are very serious about being careful about cross contamination. I did need to eat my sandwich ( Southtown Dip) with fork and knife as gluten free bread falls apart but it was very tasty a d I will definitely eat there again
My fiancée and I really did enjoy the service and food here. The atmosphere was open and friendly. It reminded us of a mom and pop place with a rustic feel to it. I order the 1/2 half chicken and it was fantastic. Also, I had to get the fried pickles 😅😅 sooo hot and flavorful. The employees were super friendly and customer service was fantastic. I would definitely go back.
First time at restaurant. staff was friendly and food was very good. Enjoyed the breakfast panini and roasted potatoes were delicious. Will go back
In town for the holidays and my SIL recommended this spot. Food was phenomenal! I had the Southern Dip (spicy French dip) and my wife had the spicy fried chicken sandwich. They knocked both dishes out of the park.. They even have a nice selection of craft beers on tap! Staff was super friendly and service was top notch. Will absolutely be coming back next time were in town! Highly recommend 👌
We are SO excited for a restaurant/cafe like Cultivate to be in Frankfort. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly, and the ambiance is exactly what we enjoy when eating out. Their ever-growing beer selection provides for a great place to sit and have a couple nice cold ones, or have a light app and drinks.Their dinner menu has an excellent selection of healthiness and indulgences.Great place - please give it a try! Come spring and summer, with their patio seating, I believe this should be a top-restaurant destination in Frankfort. Until then, indoor seating is equally cozy.
First time and will be back! Everything was great. We ordered the sliced beef dinner, wings, truffle fries, pretzel sticks, roasted cauliflower and sweet potatoes...I think that is it? Lol! The beef melts in your mouth - so tender. My Dad loved the wings. Cauliflower had such great flavor. We live about 35 minutes away, but it was totally worth the drive! Looking forward to trying breakfast, soon..like tomorrow.
Stopped by here to meet a friend on my visit back to town. What a gem of a place. Loved the beer and Brady went out of his way to make us feel welcome
A great place for family & friends; as well as a great choice of extremely quaffable brews.... jussayin. 🤙👍🍻
Food was very good! I got the Cuban and my girlfriend got the chicken and waffles. Recommend you ask for a side of mustard as the Cuban is very rich and there is nothing in there to balance.
Words cant express how much I love the White Street Cafe! All of the food there can be my favorite. From the blueberries that burst in the scones to the unique specials that are offered daily, each and every thing is made from scratch and with love!If you want to set up a morning meeting and jump on the wifi and enjoy delicious coffee with refills...come on...What Starbucks?!? Time to go to White Street for Good Food and Good Friends!
This place is great! The new menu, look, and staff really stepped up the already great quality food/experience they had to offer. Haven’t had anything from there I didn’t like and it’s obvious the chefs care about the quality of delicious food that is served here. The new owners are such great people, too. All-around this place is a MUST try and regular spot. A real gem!
I ordered a sandwich and wrap platter as well as a large salad for a small get together for my daughter’s first birthday. Cultivate worked with me on the menu and each sandwich was individually wrapped. It was all DELICIOUS and professional and easy. I will definitely be ordering again and I highly recommend trying them out!
We are done with this restaurant. Worst service by the cashiers. Ordered carry out and the dishes were done on time but missing ingredients or condiments. Went to the restaurant for the fish and chips special on Friday during lent and they said it was all frozen so not available and had no other seafood options. Went on a Tuesday not looking for anything but menu items but the cashiers didn’t know how to take our order because their iPad didn’t work. How about a good old fashion pen and paper!! PAtrons who arrived after us were served before us!! Never gonna give them another chance. Buyers beware!!
This use to be White Street Cafe. I went in not realizing it had changed owners but figured it out quite quickly when I saw the change in menu and the steep prices. I ordered avocado toast and it cost me over $10! Their hamburgers are $15 +. One piece of toast is $2. While I will say they redecorated the inside and it looks nice, it is nothing like it use to be.
Food is fantastic, beer is equally as good. Staff is even better. You wont be disappointed.
White Street Cafe recently was sold to New owners who are as spectacular as the previous. They are remodeling so no indoor dining at the moment but plenty of outdoor, curbside or delivery. We have tried curbside for breakfast and gobbled up every delicious bite at home.Last Saturday we sat outside and had a delightful lunch. I devoured the fantastic chicken sandwich and drank a blackberry infused seltzer. We will be ordering regularly from this safe and tasty restaurant.
Good food good service a little on the pricey side but worth it. Only complaint if I had to give it any is its kind of cold in there during the winter spring and fall months.
First time my wife and I have been and we have already recommended to each of our family members. Great setting and decor, quick and easy counter service and the food was fresh, hot and delicious. Can’t wait to go back.
We even have leftovers for dinner tomorrow, which was a bonus. Food is awesome and service was great. Will definitely be back.
Excellent Valentines Dinner Special.Soup, salad, main course & dessert all delicious. Loved every biteReady and hot on time. Thank you
Came here last night with my wife and her folks and holy smokes... this tiny place is on to something. We all ordered off of their dinner menu, and were seriously blown away. Perfectly cooked spit roasted beef, melt in your mouth pork, and the juiciest chicken Ive ever tasted. Great beer selection too. The owner, Matt treated us like old friends and even gave us some pours from his personal beer collection! If I lived in the area, I would eat here every day.
Cultivate has delicious, healthy food (and some other more indulgent options, of course) that’s unique and different for the area. Their service is also quick and helpful. Always happy to pick up a meal from here!
Im very Disappointed I ate here many times when it was White Street Cafe and it was always good loved the Cream of Chicken soupIve been here 3 times and all 3 times the food was Horrible even the soup taste different Im not sure what changed here but its going in the wrong direction
Well done everyone. I had Matt cater a Christmas party for my family. I had him come up with his own specials and more or less surprise us. Well he sure did. The food was off the charts and everyone raved about it. He was timly on having it ready for pick up as well as making sure we had everything we needed. AGAIN THE FOOD WAS OFF THE CHARTS!! Thank you, Steve Lecas, Gander Builders
Waited an hour for 2 sandwiches. 4 tables in restaurant and we were first ones here. Everyone else got food before us. When I asked by I was told because they have online orders to fulfill
Food was great! Very accommodating for my twin 3 year old boys!
Just changed hands and are newly opened under their new name. Pork wrap was great and coming back soon. Much new and exciting to try.
Delicious Food and a very cozy environment. Great Place
I had a roasted chicken sandwich and paid for extra bacon. I never received the bacon on the sandwich. I tried to call multiple times and the first 2 no one answered without any answering machine available. The 3rd time it cut to voicemail after one ring. Bacon aside, the sandwich was very bland. The best thing about the dish was paying yet another $4 extra for fried pickles. So for a total of $19 for a sandwich and fries pickles I would have expected a lot more out of them.
Doing great thing here during a tough time due to the pandemic. Cant wait till summer to sit on their patio.Always take a look at the specials and the beer line up!
Formerly known as the beloved “White Street Café”, Cultivate keeps the café vibe while providing new food and drink options. ownership is kept close which leads to some favorite dishes sticking around while bringing mew options to the table. the service was great and the food was delicious; you definitely get what you pay for. anyone looking for a unique cafe in town must come here.they also serve beer on tap at night!
Good food and nice place.
This place has real food. Healthy options, vegan and even a great beer list on draught. The food is awesome!!
The food is excellent for those with allergies and without. There are a plethora of gluten free options! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are a bit higher than a typical sandwich shop, but on par for the quality of the food and portion sizes. They serve breakfast all day. Ive been here for both breakfast and lunch, with excellent food regardless of the time off day. I really like the cubano panini. Its always got a good crowd of people, and there is outdoor seating for nice days.
Just opened and replaced White Street Cafe. Located in the trolley barn in historic downtown Frankfort. Had a pork wrap and will go again. Many new fresh items to choose from.
Amazing service and delicious food!
Excellent food. I personally havent had a less than spectacular experience here.. The staff is friendly and food is served hot off the grill.. my favorite breakfast place..
This place is sooo good, everything Ive ordered has been delicious and good sized portions. Staff is very friendly too!
First, the food is excellent. The ambiance is super charming!! And the owner was so kind!! Definitely recommend!
Awesome environment and very attentive service. The meals were crisp and delicious. Will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends. Fair prices and big meals. Keep it up.
Why did you change your name? White Street Cafe is such an iconic name to this little street in Frankfort.... plus the new name will be confusing to any newbies in the area - they wont know youre a cafe/restaurant. Understandably youre making changes but it seems youre making too many too fast. You might start to lose people. Its like the saying... if its not broke, dont fix it .Also, I have to wait for your location to open before I can place an online order. I use to be able to come into work in the morning and place my order for pick up for when youre open. I can no longer do that. I have to wait for your 8am opening time to do anything online with you. Please change that.I give you 4 stars only because I love the food. But quite frankly Im worried youre making too many changes, too fast and might start to lose people.*** Editing my review: So Im changing my review to 2 stars. Ive been ordering the same breakfast panini for several months and just placed another order. I received it and low and behold the way its made has been changed. It use to be on a country italian bread which had a lovely panini crunch and was a fairly large sandwich; it is now made on a potato focaccia bread. The bread was soft with some grilled panini marks on it... no crunch and much smaller in size than before. The sandwich reminded much like a Great American Bagel sandwich. I called and talked to the owner just to express my opinion on the change and he responded that theyve made a lot of changes including a name change and menu change and that I can always request a different bread if I wanted. He actually was kind of cold in his response.Like I said before - there are too many changes and maybe too fast - name change, menu change and the way things are made on the menu. I hate to see these changes backfire on them. As much as I really liked White Street I more than likely wont be returning.
Stopped in today. Just amazing. Cant wait to see Cultivate.
Just found my new favorite spot! ordered takeout and it was incredible!
Great vibe, delicious food and yummy beer! Will definitely be back!
Yesterday was our first time we visited this fine restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last time. We had a good time with the good service, with the excellent cuisine and booze and with the honest payment. We will surely come back soon.
Wow, steak burrito might be my new favorite
Great food and service! This is one of our favorite local places to go. Food is great and fresh. Love its location. Wish it was open for dinner. Enjoy!
Took a group of seniors here the other day and it was outstanding! Everyone loved their food. Some are picky too, so it was a win! The chicken soup is to die for and the sandwiches are huge. Definitely cannot wait to return!
For those of us who need gluten free options this is an awesome. Place! Their GF avocado toast is excellent. Great food. Friendly staff. We will be back.
Cannot recommend this restaurant enough! Food is fantastic, and always tastes great!
Good foof
Seating outside was stressful with all the bees flying around us. Great food and friendly, attentive service.
Best, & most fresh, wholesome food around. Cute location & well thought out menu. A hidden gem!
Was in Frankfort for a night, went there to get some breakfast. It is a very clean and cozy little breakfast place! Perfect for little towns like Frankfort. The food was wonderful. The staff are so nice and provided great service!!
First off, the food is excellent. They make some of the best, most delicious omelettes Ive ever tasted. The menu is diverse, youll find something you like and everything that I and those dining with me have ordered has been truly excellent. Two downsides, one minor, one major:The minor problem: the restaurant is very often cramped. They get more customers than their space can reasonably handle. If youre at all claustrophobic, its probably best to avoid eating here, especially during peak hours. If this doesnt bother you, ignore it.The major problem: while most of the staff is great, the man who usually takes orders (hes been behind the register during all of my visits) is grumpy and unattentive. My first time there, I took my time in deciding (note: there was no line behind me) and he gave me a dirty look. He never seems happy to be working and during the majority of my visits hes made an error in taking my order. As much as I love the food, I dont think Ill be coming back anytime soon.
Great food, and an equally great beer menu
Awesome little place in old downtown area. Quaint atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Great food.
Met some friends there. Their first time. Staff very attentive! Food good! Our friends enjoyed themselves.
I find the food here exceptional, their chicken with rice soup is one of my granddaughters favorite along with the oatmeal raisin cookie. Not to mention, I love the cookies as well. What I have learned that during the winter, try to get there before noon, otherwise it’s crowded. Summertime a bit easier as they have outdoor seating. We’ve only made it to breakfast a few times and for what I had, I enjoyed. I really like their Grilled Cheese with their soup. Makes for a nice comfortable lunch. We go there often and enjoy the place.
Hands down one of my favorite restaurants ever. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. The eggs benedict they serve on the weekends is the best Ive ever had. Oh and the cream of chicken soup...Its the best Jerry. The best!
Food is excellent, freshly made. Taste great. Service on point. Local and quaint. If you visit once you’ll definitely come back.
Food is decent and the place is cozy and cute. I have gone there three separate times to work on homework (while getting coffee and supporting small business) because they advertise everywhere free WiFi, but it hasn’t worked a single time I’ve gone. The management is generally crabby and somewhat rude, but the other workers have been kind. That being said, it’s in a great location in the middle of town and is a cute place.
Food is amazing! They have plenty of options for anyone to choose from. It’s right in the heart of downtown Frankfort, so it’s perfect for weekend days to get lunch and walk around. I bring everyone from out of town here for lunch and recommend it all the time to friends.
The food is awesome and the people who work there are very kind and professional
Just so cute! You seat yourself and order yourself and help yourself to your beverage. They will even give you a to go cup when leaving. Great food!
Great owner and staff! Everyone is helpful and attentive. The food is delicious!
I visited the first time with a friend. Id never heard of the cafe. I was surprised at the food. Very good veggie sandwich. Cute atmosphere and great service. Great for lunch. We took a walk down the old plank trail after lunch. Very enjoyable.
Food was really good, especially the French dip. Prices are very reasonable for a downtown Cafe. The side of fruit was extremely fresh. Unfortunately got a lot of attitude from cashier and kids didnt seem welcome even though its across from a kids museum. Would easily be five star without the attitude.
This place sets a new standard! Excellent food and coffee served in a great setting by great people. Always changing up the menu and offering specials to keep things interesting. You really get the feeling that these people love what they do. I use White St Cafe to provide food and drinks at corporate events and they always go above and beyond!
Family Owned...Excellent Food!!! The breakfasts are delicious and the outdoor patio is comfortable and has a relaxing atmosphere! The owner is always friendly and greets you with a smile.
Gluten free persons dream!! So many things you cant normally get anywhere else like cream of chicken soup, eggs Benedict (on reg gf bread not English muffin), sandwiches, wraps, cinnamon rolls, cookies and on. Ive really enjoyed everything Ive tried, but my favorite is oddly enough the tuna melt. My husband (who is not gf) truly enjoys coming here. The coffee is delicious too. Everyone Ive met has been extremely warm and helpful. As a celiac Ive never gotten sick from eating here.
Quick friendly service even tho Sundays are busy. Staff enjoys bringing good food to me and my pooch.
Great food, place, and atmosphere in downtown Frankfort. My family and I are frequent diners and love everything on the menu. Plus, there are SO many gluten free options!!
They serve large dishes and for affordable pricing. very friendly owner. 5 stars.
Excellent food, great service. Owners are friendly
Not a big fan of their breakfast. Last time I got a rude man behind counter who wanted to rush me through when the place was slow and I was his only customer in line. After I ordered my food came out so wrong. He wouldn’t give me a side of spinach. Also a side of pancakes is 1 small pancake and the poached medium/hard eggs were in a bowl of water and very runny. Egg soup anyone? Just continuously bad experiences. Going to take a break. Very expensive. So many other food options.
