Brought my truck in for an alignment, they not only were detailed enough to find out that my ball joints were worn out, but they didnt charge me for diagnosing that issue. Its so hard to find shops that give detailed service, and most other shops would have just pretended to do an alignment and then charged me for it. Will definitely go back for future services.
A Gracious Thank You! I had a situation and You all fixed me up in no time flat. Very much appreciate it! Well done. I will return and sure to spread the word to family and friends🙂
First time customer, and will definitely be back when needed. Good service, great people!
What a great, honest shop. And I am picky as H when it comes to auto repair, cause I know my stuff. Highly recommend.
There are only three letters I can describe them with.....WOW....amazing service.
Fast and friendly service at an affordable cost!
Highly experienced car technicians! Took great care of my 2003 Ford Explorer Sport! Special thanks to Bruce for getting it in right away and getting a precise diagnosis of the problem. Thank you very much! Highly recommended.
Fast and quality service by the very friendly workers
These guys treated me right!! I took my car to another place about 6 months ago to have work done and they couldnt even get the alignment right. Fast forward to now and everything is better since I came here!! Thanks guys!!!
Its 2021 and things are so UP & DOWN in every possible way you look at it. But just beyond the haze of 2020 there is a silver lining of hope... Franklin automotive & Restoration is that silver lining, especially when you have a guy like Bruce looking out for you and your vehicles best interest. Thanks a million for all you do for the customers and the community.
Friendly, great service! I kept them busy today. They were able to get me in within 24 hours and were able to do odd little jobs as I requested.
Quick and fare price.
Bruce is expert at every type of car repair-- on classic to late model. Fair and honest.. not the norm for auto repair. Just go there if you need any auto help!
Best place to go for your auto repairs. Great customer service.
Great customer service, fixed exactly my problem and gave me a couple jobs on future work. Thanks guys and great job
Good honest service.
Great guys to work with. Honest and extremely trustworthy. If they cant get work done right away, its worth the wait!!
Great customer service!!Bruce was willing to check on our car despite being on a full schedule. He wanted to make sure the car was safe to drive. They did the repairs after he had a great person drop us off at Culver’s where my 4 year old son was happy and away from the Franklin candy jar.Wonderful people and we wish them the absolute best. Thanks again!
I have been taking my 1973 Pontiac GTO and my 1958 Chevy Impala to Bruce at Franklin Automotive for about 8 years now. I always have great dialogue with Bruce about maintenance, repairs, and enhancements I am planning and executing on my two classics. Right now, we are planning for a crate motor and 700R4 transmission for my Impala this coming winter.Bruce, along with Norm, do most of the classic car work at Franklin. Bruce is always realistic and fair with me about costs, timelines, and has vast experience with a broad array of classic cars from The Big Three. Every time I go there, I see anywhere from 3-4 other classic cars on lifts or being worked on.And Bruce is not just stuck in the past with old-think about these classics. Hes up on new-tech as well. He put a new Dakota Digital dash in my Impala and now were discussing the benefits of EFI vs. carburetors, even though he might be the best carb guy around.Another thing I like about Bruce is that he owns two classic cars himself so he is a fellow enthusiast who shares with me the passion of the hobby I love so much. Finally, and this may not matter to some, but Bruce is deeply involved with the Lions Club and I respect the fact he volunteers in that capacity (I am not in that nor any such endeavor myself). There are a lot of wanna-bees out there who hack on old cars. Or high-end shops that charge an arm-and-a-leg. Thats not here. Now go and get that dream car on Ebay Motors with confidence that:1. It will have issues (thats just the hobby).2. Bruce can handle them.
This auto repair shop is fantastic! Nice newer building. The front desk and waiting area are clean and nicely decorated. Lots of magazines to read. They started working on my car right away and finished quickly while I waited. The shop is well organized and clean. The mechanics seem happy and very knowledgeable. They fixed what needed repair and adressed some other minor issues while in the area. It was all done right. Bruce mentioned that they just installed a new alignment machine. I will take advantage of that service next time. After dealing with many nasty shops with poorly trained mechanics and bad customer service, this is a breath of fresh air. I will be back
Bruce is very personable, he knows what he is doing and his prices are very reasonable. I will be definitely be going back.
Wonderful customer service, fair prices, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Bruce and his team! Thanks for all your help.
Hands down, BEST automotive shop Ive ever had the pleasure to work with!!! Bruce, Seth and the Team worked with me to complete all the necessary and unexpected fixes and maintenance needed on my truck without hesitation or concern! Got me in asap, amazing quality, and done in a timely fashion. If you havent checked the place out, stop in, say hi, and give them your business. Not many honest and quality shops like the one Bruce runs out there!!!!! Thanks again guys!!!!
The guys here will go above and beyond to help you. I needed serious repairs and with no way to work, they went out of their way to provide me a ride. the quote on all that needed done was below my budget which made me happier than happy. and my car drives like new again. would highly recommend this business to anyone who would ask where to get quality and friendly service done in a very timely manner. definite A+
Bruce and the team work on all of my families vehicles. They do good work at a fair price. They have never recommended anything more than we need to get the car fixed right and they stand behind their work. Highly recommend!
Bruce is the #1 carburetor guy ever!!! Along with the adjustment (which is now perfect for my 79 ford truck) he has a dead eye for detail and found another missing piece of why the truck ran so poorly! A big thanks too to Tom who was very professional and helpfulf in an extremely busy shop! Wish i could give Franklin Auto 10 stars!
I needed to have my spark plugs replaced as my car was nearing its designated mileage marker for that and had scheduled an appointment with a dealer, once I found out the cost there, I decided to call around. I spoke with Bruce and he gave me an upfront quote which was inline with what the internet says spark plug replacements should be, and it was also 1/3 of the cost the dealer was charging. Also I was able to get in the next day instead of 3 weeks when the dealer had an opening, which was great! The service was quick and my car drove better almost immediately. At the end of my first appointment, they had noticed another issue in my engine and prepared a quote for me, it was a no pressure quote, and I asked if it was urgent and was told that it’s okay for now, but will get worse over time, but was told I could wait on it. So I did some more research on the issue and found that the quote was more than reasonable for it and decided I would schedule an appointment and have it down as soon as I could. And to this appointment and everything went smoothly again, very quicksand quality service again!A few days later I was about to take an hour road trip back to my school to see some of my friends, once I was about 20 minutes into the trip, I noticed the check engine light was on and immediately freaked out, my car hadn’t been running the best the last day or so before that but finally the light came on, so I quickly called and Talked with Bruce again, it was about an hour before they closed on a Saturday but I was welcomed to come in and make sure it wasn’t a major issue with my engine.... well turns out the gas cap was loose, I didn’t immediately think about that because it had been a week since I got gas, but he clear the engine light and sent on my way haha, they could’ve charged me a fee for fixing the engine light, but he was honest and told me of my mistake and sent me on my way!I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have their car serviced for a reasonable price!
I followed Franklin Auto from downtown Milwaukee to their location on Ryan road, because they are honest and solid mechanics. Their prices are fair, and the work is good. From fixing air intake issues, to suspension, to basic oil changes, their work has been better than all the others. They find ways to get the job done without gouging me. When I purchased my Mazda 3 from a dealership, I frequented that dealers service department for a few issues. What brought me back to Franklin Auto was the dealers quote to fix an air intake sensor. Franklin did it for half the money. Two thumbs up!
These guys really know their stuff. They do everything from Modern cars to antiques all in an expeditious and fastidious fashion. Go if you need service now! Peter the locksmith
Great customer service. Very fair price. No worries, I always know it will be fixed right the first time, and I dont have to worry about weather or not they are honest.
Bruce, the owner, wrenches with his crew and treats his customers great. He found a remanufactured steering box for my 1970 Challenger saving me big bucks. Highly recommended.
Great service
Good guys good place
Called in for a tire mount and balance. I was told over the phone that mounting/balancing would only be done and to drive around for a few days and see if alignment needed to be done. Picked my car up and they had done an alignment charging me an extra $89. Nothing significant was changed in the alignement which the gentleman also agreed on. only side rear by .2-.3degrees. Unacceptable and didnt even offer to compensate for their mistake for a service that I didnt even want.
I had problems with my transmission line and it was towed there. Being from out of town and on a Friday night right before a holiday, I did not know what to expect. They got me in and fixed it right away at a reasonable price. I would go there again.
Franklin Auto was recommended by my engine builder for intermediate repairs. I stopped by to check out the facility and they said they would call me about my repairs. They never called. Poor business practice.
Reliable work done at fair prices
$398.00 for 6 spark plugs and a set of wires basis tuneup this place is very expensive shop around .
Amazing staff and service! Honest mechanical people are rare but this team is a great find!
Customer service in high quality level, and they fix my car in very short terms.
Have always used Franklin since I first got a car at 16. The boys always take care of whatever the problem quick and go beyond every time.
Great place very knowledgeable fair priced bunch there thanks for keeping me on the road.
Terrible Experience! Dropped off my 2015 F150 to have front struts installed. Upon picking up my truck I noticed a large paint chip on the hood near the front wheel (NO way a rock could hit the middle of my hood). I washed my car the day before (WAS NOT THERE) and this chip was so large anyone can see it from 5 feet way. When I showed the owner of the shop his response was, it was up in the air on the lift, so we didnt do it So right, just magically happened on its own and I am the crazy one. The WORST part about all of this is the surprise I get when I look at the last 30 min gas mileage average before leaving the shop! 10 MPG! So the young guy that took my truck for a ride with my borla exhaust apparently wanted to smoke the HELL out of my tires! Really, I have this truck for 2 years you didnt think I know when someone beats the s***T out of IT! Great job.... NOT. NEVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN!
Steer clear of this place for your automotive needs. If you MUST deal with them and youre lucky enough to have a general idea about what part(s) need to be replaced on your vehicle, spend a few minutes researching them online or a local auto parts store before patronizing this place. If you do make an appointment, be prepared to spend up to 175% of the exact same parts retail price (same manufacturer and part number) here. That isnt a typo. The service director I dealt with wasnt organized or polite--borderline rude, actually. I felt like he was over-selling me on unnecessary repairs. When I declined his recommended repairs, while opting for others that WERE necessary to get the car running again, I wasnt given pricing details over the phone. I wasnt given an option to have cheaper non-OEM parts installed, either. I was told by one of the owners that the huge mark-up on parts at his business has something to do the mitigating the risk of being required to replace a part within its (relatively short) warranty period. Plausible explanation, but not to this extent. Caveat emptor.
They always do good work for me.
Reasonably priced, work was done quick and took great care of my car!
Great job, fair prices. They explained the parts needed, and didnt try to sell extras. Thanks.
They fixed my car to pass emissions at a reasonable price.
Top notch
Great service! Friendly and fast!
