A good selection of the type of furniture I was looking for. The salesperson was very helpful in showing me the type of furniture that I was looking for and informing me of the features without being pushy. Gail was very professional and friendly.

I honestly wish I had never ordered furniture from here and we just kept our old furniture. We purchased a new living room set and the 2 chairs never worked properly and we’re waiting on them to be reordered. While technically it’s a manufacturer issue, we were told that the manufacturer had been in business for 40 years and they sell great quality furniture. If they’re so great.. how did we end up with 2 chairs and neither works properly? It’s incredibly frustrating when we paid so much money. But I’ve heard this is common now, furniture is just junk, so I’m not sure where we could’ve gone to get good quality furniture that was built properly. This doesn’t feel like too much to ask for.

I wish there was a option that you could choose no stars or negative points, I choose a clearance table, for $148, the price was awesome but I think they change their mind because they brought any excuse to not selling that to me which your car doesn’t have enough space whiteout trying, I trust them but recently I talked to store manager, he is one of the managers that deserve to be replaced.As a matter of fact it’s a good idea to go to that store if you want to see a poor manager as skilled and a business manDon’t be like him if you have a business

Even though the sales staff follow you a bit, they were very nice and not pushy at all. We did decide to buy furniture, since they actually had some in stock, and we received a hand-written thank you card. The delivery staff was excellent, professional, and followed COVID rules carefully. We got a great price and experience and I would go back again.

We had so many problems with Fitzgerald, but Ill try to make this short. They installed our bathroom tile with the wrong grout color. They wanted to cover up the wrong grout color with a temporary coating (which the company who made the coating said would only last a year on a shower wall), but Fitzgerald tried to tell us it was a permanent stain. They did not want to fix their mistake properly. Now less than a year later, the shower/tub which is rarely used has issues. All of the caulk is cracked, so we cant used the shower until we fix it. We had a another contractor out and were told that the grout was improperly applied, so the caulk cannot stick properly. So, now we have to pay to have the poor work done by Fitzgerald repaired. Sorry, I only took one pic, but this is what all the caulk looks like now (tub to wall, tile to tile, tub to tile). INTERESTINGLY- our initial one star Google review is now gone. Seriously, you will regret getting tile work done by these folks. When they mess it up, and they will mess it up, they wont fix it properly. But, if you love poor workmanship, major hassles, and having to pay someone to fix a mess that you already paid for, maybe you should give them a call.

BEWARE and do your homework!! If you value your money and time, do not shop at Fitzgerald Home Furnishings! As soon as you walk into the store, you are greeted by a “consultant”. The young lady who greeted me was pleasant and not pushy but to work out a deal she had to constantly speak with her manager, Tim. Tim obviously did not want to make a sell and it would have been to his advantage and the consultant’s not mine! I fell in love with a recliner (purchase price $1,201.00) that fit my petite stature. I was told it would take 10-12 weeks (who ever heard of such and then didn’t offer a discount of any kind!) to have it in stock and to have it delivered would be based on the total cost (again, ridiculous!) which would be approximately $169.00 and I could get a warranty for 5 years for another $149.00! Thank God and my son, when I returned to Fitzgerald to purchase the recliner, at cost (no discount), the consultant went to Tim and told him I was willing to pay cash (stupid me!); to purchase the floor model (Fitzgerald could wait the 10-12 week for a new recliner) and I would take it myself that day (so, no delivery fee); to close the deal. Actually, I also have to thank Tim because the consultant came back and said it was store policy “not to sell floor items”! I left dishearten debating whether to order or not but my son insisted I take pictures and research the recliner online. To my surprise, the recliner was missing a major component (swivel glider) so no wonder it fit me perfectly! Also, it was less expensive and will be delivered (free!) in a much shorter time! Lastly, I called the consultant back to tell her what I had discovered online. The female who answered the phone didn’t know what she was doing – transferred me to parts so I had to call again and received no apology for her error…the consultant never apologized for having an unfinished recliner in the show room - and I am pretty sure the manager, Tim could care less about me posting this review. BUYER BEWARE!

We had a wonderful experience with Routzahns! Our saleslady was very patient as we looked through the various selections; giving us assistance when we needed it and leaving us to explore on our own when we wanted to. She wrote down all the information about the sectional and fabrics we liked, and was not pushy in the least when we told her we would like to look at other retailers and compare options and prices. After shopping around, we found nothing close to what we wanted in a size and price range that would fit for us. I was then able to call and place the order by phone. Our sectional arrived sooner than promised and was delivered two days after I made the final payment. The delivery men called and arrived early as well. They were so very careful, professional and personable! We will definitely return when we save up a little more to add a recliner. None of the other stores we visited had as friendly and helpful sales staff; we even felt spoken down to at one. I highly recommend the folks at Routzahns. We are thrilled with our purchase!

Best experience ever! We discovered Routzahns Way about a year ago and have been back several times to make purchases. The prices are great and the customer service you get from the entire team there is unbeatable.Daryl has been our salesperson since we started and he has exceeded our expectations on every visit.There is a great selection of products to choose from. The design team there is amazingly talented and came to our house for free to help us with decorating ideas. People now walk into my home and ask if I had an interior designer decorate for us. Silva and Mary were extremely helpful. They took the time to coordinate color scheme and room dimensions to fit furniture of my choice. Silva and Mary even worked on their day off and went out of their way to accommodate all my needs. Both ladies were very knowledgeable, helpful, gracious, and pleasant to work with.

I went in to buy a kitchen table and a bed and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly courteous staff and the service I received. The sales associate, Daryl Jordan was outstanding - he was very helpful without being pushy. I bought the table/chairs and bed set - the delivery and setup was on-time and well done. I do most of my shopping online these days, but I am glad I stopped in to Routzahns Way on this occasion.

The flooring department sales clerks (Debbie and Frank) were great to work with. Our experience purchasing Cali Bamboo regineered hardwood with GeoCare construction and carpet throughout the whole house met with many questions that never went unanswered. They were attentive to every detail right down to custom stain on the baseboard trim, correcting a minor mistake, making house calls and so much more. If I could upload a picture of the finished product it would leave you wanting to replace your flooring. Thank you Debbie and Frank for all of your help. We love our new flooring!

This store is terrific. No two things about it. I called them yesterday in the afternoon to see if they have any full sized frames and box springs available. They said, yes. I walked into the store, met the sales guy Bobby, he showed me couple of options. I loved frames instantly. I bought two frames and two box springs. I had guests coming in within two days. I asked them if they could deliver and do the install as soon as possible as I was in time crunch. They readily accommodated me. The very next day, the stuff was delivered and installed within a hour. Its family owned and they treat their customers with respect. Very friendly staff. Such a great addition to our neighborhood in frederick. Once again thanks so much guys and special thanks to inventory folks and Bobby.

My daughter needed a bed and dresser one week before moving out of state. We were helped by Teresa Anselmo who was outstanding. She heard my daughters budget and was able to find both pieces in stock at roughly the amount she had to spend. Teresa was so compassionate. The pieces were available for our pick up the following Saturday but when my husband and I arrived with our Suburban we found the bed wouldnt fit. The guys that moved the furniture for us were also outstanding. We live very close to the store so they put the bed in the store van and didnt charge us for the delivery. My husband and I tipped them for their assistance. Everyone at the store worked above and beyond. We were very pleased.

I came to purchase a recliner on Labor Day and had a loose idea what I wanted. Tamar was our salesperson and she was the perfect combo of attentive and non-pushy. She is a straight shooter and will give you honest answers about quality vs price. She was very knowledgeable about the furniture I purchased and was able to answer every question I had without batting an eye. Very pleased with my experience and will definitely be returning.

I went shopping for a bedroom suite, few places have the selection that Routzahns has, and on top of that their prices are very good for the quality of furniture. The staff was friendly, Tamar was especially helpful in finding what we wanted/needed. I ended up getting everything I needed at one place and they have a great warranty program. Would definitely recommend Routzahns to anyone.

Was in your store on Sunday. Ive been there before and experienced the same problem. I was approached by a Muslim salesman who I could hardly understand. He acts like a used car salesman. Must have come from the car place. While I was walking around I heard him speaking his Arabic language to another sales lady. Two other women speaking Spanish. Do you employ Americans? Since when is the language in the US not English? Its disrespectful to me as a person in the Military to enter a store only to hear another language spoken. While I was there it sounded as if the Muslim sales people were arguing in their language. With the state of our world right now, you may want to consider hiring Americans. I wont be back, twice was enough. You lost an entire brand new house in need of furniture. Didnt matter, your prices are too high and furniture looks awful.

I found that it totally depends on the representative helping you. I did not have a very good experience with the representative Liana. She was not very understanding or professional. I dont feel like she listened to what I was trying to explain and what I needed/didnt need.With that said, I had a really good experience with the representative Tamar Garabed. She was so helpful and professional. I really appreciated Tamars help.

I went in the other day, looked like a great store on the outside. Walked inside and was greeted with poor customer service. Being in the retail industry, I take pride in making sure all the customers are attended quickly, efficiently, and treated with kindness. None of this was present. It was slow, inefficient, and any antonym of kindness. It was horrible. The Manager wasnt friendly either, came off as arrogant and snooty. I believe his name was kimball? Im not too sure, but he wasnt great either. Hopefully they get someone with better customer service skills. Store is great on the outside, but hell on the inside.

Wow! What a most wonderful shopping experience. No pressure, just good old fashion help. Cheerful, knowledgable people who want to help you find what works best for you, not try and sell you something that THEY want to sell. Silva Tatarian is a low key, personable, non-pressure consultant who listened to what we were looking for and pointed us to some suggestions, We found the dinning chairs we wanted, but the table was not what we wanted. She brought us a catalog and there was the table. The prices were excellent; the whole transaction was simple and smooth. Unlike other furniture houses that have helicopter sales people hovering over you and laying on the pressure, Fitzgeralds is a welcome respite. We will return.

My experience at Routzahns was absolutely fantastic! No other store carried high quality furniture at an affordable price. After shopping around for new furniture at Bobs Discount, Value City, Sears, and Marlo- I held my breath when going to another store to find the right value. I was so used to see great prices but awful furniture quality or great couches for high prices. Fortunately enough, Routzahns had a wide variety of couches, love seats, single chairs, sectionals, dressers, bed frames, and many other pieces of furniture. I was there specifically for couches which did not disappoint.Dee was the woman I spoke with the first day who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the products. She allowed me to look around the store by myself rather than pestering me the entire time like many other stores do, but was always there to answer any questions. I was able to hold my purchase until I found out more about the dimensions of the new house I was moving into.Upon returning days later, Teresa was the other woman I spoke with. Again, she was extremely helpful and knew tons about decorating rooms- whether this table went great with that rug or couch- she was awesome. Her opinion and style matched exactly what I had in mind, and had tons of fabulous ideas for my room to help match my furniture (at low cost!).All that being said, Routzahns is definitely the place I will look for furniture first before going to any other store. I usually loathe walking into a furniture store because I know I am going to be greeted by anxious high pressure sales people trying to talk me into buying what I think is an overpriced piece of furniture. Thankfully that was not the case at Fitzgerald. My salesperson, Teresa, was not only friendly and professional, she was also knowledgeable about the furniture and, a big plus, interior design. I had been shopping for just the right bedroom and living room furniture for my home. I have waited a long time to find just the right furniture. I found them at Fitzgerald Home Furnishings! The entire process from the assistance I received in the store, to the lovely customer service ladies who helped me schedule the delivery, to the delivery crew who were ABSOLUTELY professional and courteous, they even went the extra mile to deliver my old furniture(still in great shape) to a friend who had broken her ankle and needed something that reclined in order to put her foot up. I ordered Bassets Redin Park bedroom collection; a new Sealy mattress; a CU2 sectional; a lovely accent chair; side tables; a storage ottoman, and an area rug that I had bound by them as well. I went to look at furniture here 06/25/15. The prices were high. Id go to Belfort instead. Once we walked in the door an employee immediately came to us and asked what we were looking at. I told her living room furniture. She went on to explain the difference between england versus basset. She recommended England and said it is cheaper and still good. I went to look at reviews of England and they have awful reviews/poor quality. She kept following us around the store and would start talking to us each time we sat down on a new couch. My husband didnt acknowledge her at one point and didnt even look at her anymore because she kept hounding us. As we tried to leave she asked if we have questions and then went on to repeat herself over and over again. Then when we finally thought she was done and we said goodbye we went to look at fabrics for the couches. She followed us over there again and kept talking and talking and talking. Dont go here unless you want to be followed.

Some high quality furniture, but be prepared to pay high prices - just like you will at Wolf furniture. Not too many bargains like I remember at the old Routzahns.

My girlfriend and I were in the HGTV store over the weekend. What happened to it? It used to be filled with unique decorations and furniture pieces. Now it has weird, distasteful decorations and furniture. We felt like we were in a museum of bizarre. I must be watching the wrong HGTV channel. I dont see strange stuff like that on the show. We went to the store and found more of what we were looking for in terms of pieces to decorate for our home. Its more difficult to find there verses the house. We enjoyed looking, its nicely decorated. We wont be back to the HGTV place, store for sure. Sad the house changed over to whatever you call that style of decorating. We call it cold and weird.

I would never purchase from this place ever again.Our sales lady was nice and too her time helping us make our custom ottoman but that is the only nice thing I have to say.When we recieved the ottoman the leather was so loose you could put your hands down the corners and the tufting starting pulling up on a matter of weeks after minimal use. The ottoman was kept in a secondary living space.Fitzgeralds agreed to remake it and scheduled a day to pick it up. Nobody came. It took 3 weeks to get the ottoman picked up.3 week since the ottoman has left our possession no progress has been made on a replacement. In fact, the ottoman is still sitting in the warehouse amd nobody has any further information other than they emailed somebody.We didnt finace the couch and now that they have our money they could care less it seems.I am sure this will be dragged out for months at this rate.Best advice: GO TO WOLFES.

OVERPRICED! I decided to visit your store as I moved into the townhomes across the street a month ago. If I wanted to spend that much money for furniture I could go into Montgomery county and get QUALITY furniture for a much BETTER price!!!

The inventory they have is nice. However if you compare prizes on the stuff the quote you such as tile you or comparable items you can expect the list price to be a third of their final discount price. As far as fruniture goes they have some exceptional pieces that really cant be found anywhere that I know of in the county or tristate area. With that said the first time we visited the store we were helped by a design consultant Elizabeth she was very patient, we came back today with the intentions of buying from her. However while walking in the store a Silvia tatarian assisted us. We asked about Elizabeth and were saddened that she was separated from the company. We said okay we will just look around, Silvia followed us through the store and pushed fruniture at us, she was extremely rude, hard to understand and didnt even listen to what we were looking for. After we said no we didnt like a piece even after we tried to browse ourselfs without a pushy sales lady, she continued telling us all about the item. With all that said it gets much worse; my grandmother has cancer, she is almost 80 and has no hair therefore has a hat or sleeping cap(obviously ill). The pushy sales lady talked my poor sweet grandmother into a recliner she didnt even like, then started to recline the chair with my grandmother in it, my grandmother repeatedly told her to stop and had a clear since of fear as she was falling she was terrified, and yet the lady reclined the chair all the way back then continued to sell the chair while my grandmother laid reclined at an obviously uncomfortable position that caused her stress being leaned back so far. I literally couldnt believe the actions of this ms. Tatarian. We will be looking for another store to purchase from, as far as Im concerned Fitzgerald is a no fly zone. Some of the staff are more friendly and helpful just stay clear of Silvia.

We had a very good experience purchasing new LR furniture at Routzahns Way. The task was daunting so we took our time. We wanted good quality furniture for the home we recently moved to -- we dont plan to move again. Getting the style right for our 1909 house was key, but with so many options out there, the decision was difficult. The first time I went into Routzahns to have a look, I learned about how it had recently been bought by the Fitzgeralds, and I was impressed by what I saw. I basically resolved right then to buy from them but had to come back three or four times to get it right. The salesperson we ended up working with was Tamar, who was very helpful indeed. She was not pushy and helped us think through all of the options and choices. She didnt mind that we took our time and was understanding of our desire to get it right. We ended up with a couch, wing chair (England) and two other chairs that are just fabulous in our LR. We are very happy with our overall experience and would highly recommend Tamar especially. Just what you want in a salesperson -- knowledgeable, helpful, agreeable to talk to, not pushy.
