I came to the store the other day in need of assistance with my Mac. There were 3 employees and 2 were already assisting customers but greeted me anyway. The 3rd was sitting behind the back counter with Airpods in and staring at what looked like his iPad and would not even acknowledge me. He finally stood up and I thought he was coming to help me but he just went to adjust the thermostat and went back behind the counter and sat down. To say I felt disappointed was an understatement. I am leaving 5 stars because the other 2 gentlemen that were busy went out of their way to give me excellent customer service and assisted me as much as they could! However, the man behind the counter has horrible customer service skills (or lack thereof) and I wouldnt ever want him servicing a product of mine...

I had multiple problems syncing my Apple devices. David Frey spent an hour of his time talking to me and walking through all the information that I needed to fix my devices. I have nothing but good praise for the efforts of everyone here in the store putting up with a customer who can come off as irate. They were very patient and help me figure out my problem

I set up an appointment two weeks in advance and when I get there and show them what my problem was they were unresponsive and not very professional. My mac needs a new screen so I was suppose to leave it over the weekend for them to run diagnostics on it on Monday to order a part that would take days to come in. I would have to leave my work computer with them for four to five days or set an appointment each time I had to come it. I could have gotten an operation quicker and easier than that. I dont know what to do but I sure wont use this store and I would advise folks to stay clear.

I had cracked the back of my iphone screen which meant I needed to have my whole phone replaced. Making an appointment online was easy and I was seen right away when I arrived. They had my new phone ready and set up within the hour. Im so grateful for their quick help and professionalism. I will absolutely be back for sure!

Both of my experiences here have been incredible. Each time I was looking for more information on specific Apple products. Each time I was helped quickly, kindly, and with insightful information - saving me from hours of online research and offering what have proven to be great results. Devin offered me one of the best customer services experiences Ive had, in terms of answering every question I had, guiding me in the right direction based on my needs, making sure I got the info I needed no matter how long it took, and being next-level friendly throughout - and every person I interacted with here has been great. I highly recommend this place and will absolutely come here again for Apple-related stuff when in Frederick.

Best Buy put me in a bad situation with a same day phone repair and I called them, scheduled an appointment online and they handled it with no issues. As I waited on my repair I saw them deal with multiple customers and they helped each one were super knowledgeable and professional and they definitely get two thumbs up from me for saving The day!

I brought my phone with a failing battery in for replacement yesterday and it was replaced in less time than estimated. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Id go back and certainly recommend. The battery replacement is clutch and will hopefully extend the life of my phone for another year and a half. Thanks for the help, Devin.

This place, and the people are fantastic. I have been using them since theyve opened (10 years?) and have had nothing but superb and flawless service. My most recent experience, getting my MacBook Pro case and screen replaced under the AppleCare warranty was another example of their great service, expertise and super fast turnaround time (two work days). Skip the crowds and lines at the Apple stores and go here--they have every product and service you need.

I just picked up my previously broken Mac from MBS and I couldn’t have been happier with the service and extremely fast turnaround time! The guys I spoke to were all really friendly, easy communication and the precautions they took during Covid were great. They turnaround time for my repairs were 3 business days, which is incredible! I was expecting weeks but they told me 1-4 days depending on issues even before I dropped it off, and they stuck to the deadlines.If you have any issues with your Mac, definitely give MBS a call to discuss! Couldn’t recommend more!

I took my daughter’s phone into this shop to get fixed on 4/6. I asked them to fix the “no service” issue that has been occurring on many other models as well. The phone would turn on as normal and was working even though the screen was cracked. I was informed (by Cody) that Apple may want to fix the screen since it was broken. He said if this is a must he will let me know. I didn’t hear from them for almost two weeks. When I picked up the phone on 4/25, I was told they couldn’t fix it due to the screen having been fixed by a third party. !!??!! Anyway, I expected it to turn on like it was when I dropped it off. I tried turning on her phone and it didn’t turn on (the screen was completely black). I called Devin who works at this place, he told me that my daughters phone didn’t turn on because it’s a 3 rd party screen. It took everything in me not too cuss him out and go back down there. I called Apple and explained my problem. First of all the service ticket wasn’t for the “no service” it was written wrong and said it was for the screen. I didn’t ask them to even fix the screen. In the end, Apple covered all the damages and I paid nothing. Cody and Devin tried to explain to me that my phone wasn’t getting fixed because of a Third party screen but it was really because I wasn’t agreeing to pay 700$ to get a new phone. When i told Apple this, they said it would only cost 298$ for replacing this phone, nothing close to 700$!! I wouldn’t advise anyone to go to this shop. They are rip offs...

It’s the best place around to take your Apple devices and get them serviced. I’ve also purchased several computers here for my business. David Frey is my go to guy! I find him the most helpful and very quick to respond to my emails and questions. I’ve had some interaction with other staff members. David gets 5 stars! The others, I haven’t connected with much. I go back because of how David Frey has provided me with honest advice and service.

Purchased a fully loaded laptop, brought in a new iPhone X to be serviced a couple months later, a week later still sitting in their shop- associate that called to let us know they’d done nothing had a ton of attitude & hung up on me when I asked to speak with a supervisor because he wasn’t answering my questions about what was needed on our end to complete. Kept telling me to come in, why I was wrong about whatever I said, & yet couldn’t explain what they needed from us. Like speaking to a moody grounded teenager, Darren was anything but helpful. Apple has never held a device over a week then called me with no clear path to getting them on their way. We have many apply products & will look forward to bringing them somewhere else if repair or new device is needed until this salty member of the team is gone. I’ve never been hung up on after saying I don’t understand what you’re wanting / having an associate triple repeat themselves with attitude, if you like saying no to customers and hanging up try working in reality tv- this isn’t how real life employees behave. I don’t have time as a client to be treated with disrespect. Who has time to have a broken iPhone collect dust for a week instead of having it out for repair? Why blame the customer for letting it go untouched so long? How many times should you correct the customer/tell them their service request was wrong when letting them know their device was untouched for a week instead of being ready for pick up/repaired? I don’t have time to learn these answers but I hope the owner decides to ask them.

In truth, they deserve a 6 or 7 star rating! After numerous trips to the Mother Ship and coming away blank, in one trip to the Frederick location, David correctly diagnosed the issue as a dying hard drive, and for a few dollars more, doubled it up to a 2 Terabyte. So for a fraction of the cost of a new computer, they restored my 6 year old iMAC to better than new. I could not be happier.

First time in store and did not like it at all. The gentleman in the front of the store was so smug and arrogant that my husband and I were dumb founded. We did not get his name. He was older with longish gray hair and I have to say that my husband surprised me by keeping his cool as well as he did. It was literally unbelievable how arrogant he was. When we left we realized they were closing, we would have much rather have heard we are closing vs. the way we were treated. We would NEVER recommend anyone to that store and we will NEVER GO back there. To bad because not only are we big supporters of downtown Frederick businesses, I worked downtown for 5 years.

Came in today to have my memory upgraded from 2GB to 8GB. As I was walking down the canal, an employee coming back from a lunch break actually saw my mac and met up with me to talk about what was going on. I assume he was off the clock when he did it. When I got in the store, they told me exactly what they would do and the exact cost. It was cheaper than buying the parts myself! They ran a free diagnostic and told me future problems that might come up. At no point did I feel that I was being forced to buy unnecessary items. When I got my computer back (Macbook 13) it ran faster than when I got it out of the box. I can now actually get work done without stalling. Overall, I will recommend this store to every Mac user I know.

Very good customer service, the only thing that I would say is questionable is because I have an 09 MacBook and they recommended that I do some work (that it needs mind you most definitely), but however since its so old spending $160 for something that Im planning to replace and that old most likely wouldnt be reasonable either way.But I cant blame them for that since thats how they make their money. Other then that pricing is very reasonable, their incredibly knowledgeable and prompt as well. Great place to do business with, would return or recommend to a friend.

Excellent service. These guys know their stuff. They are actually experts with more than just surface training. I needed a small tweak on my iPad and they did it for free (since it took less than a minute). Cant say enough good things about this store. I have an issue now with my NEW iPhone 6 and after a trip to the Apple store near my office, Ive decided to stop by the Frederick store to, hopefully, actually get the problem resolved!

I had an issue with my Ipad where it wouldnt charge. They took a look at the Ipad and fixed it on the spot and I was back up and running in no time! I highly recommend doing business here and bringing your Apple devices to this knowledgeable staff for all of your needs. Since the work was so simply, they did it for FREE. Who does this in this day of age? NOBODY! I will always bring my devices here for repairs.

This is a first rate, class act business! I have had 3 issues with my wifes Macbook Pro.1 involved malware and viruses, another malware only and finally I just needed to upgrade from Snow Leopard.Paul solved the 1st 2 issues in minutes and for FREE!!!The upgrade of course was a charge but very fast service and very professional service.It is nice to know that there is no buy and sell tactic going on here. If they can help over the phone at least Paul does at no charge.Cant ask for much better even though I am not fond of Apple computers.Dan@New Market

My wifes iPhone was having issues, but is out of warranty. I spoke with MBS and the urged me to bring the phone in. They looked at it for a minute and identified the issue and fixed it. It was a very minor issue that took about two minutes to diagnose and repair. They could have easy told me that a full blown connector replacement was necessary, but they were completely honest. When I asked how much their time would cost, it was free of charge. My wifes phone is working and she is happy for the paltry sum of 85¢ for parking.Friendly, quick service, honest. A++ in my book.

My iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Mid 2015) was struggling to work quickly and efficiently so I took it to Mac Business Solutions in Frederick, Maryland. They recommended updating the hard drive to an SSD and the price quoted was very reasonable. They had a slight backlog of other computers in their shop but they managed to get it done in a couple of days per my request and I really appreciate MBS working with me on this. I feel like I have a brand new computer that works better than it did when I first bought it. THANKS, MAC BUSINESS SOLUTIONS!!!

Had a couple good experiences, was a customer who’d spent 3k here in last year- never again. Associate Darren hangs up on customer, doesn’t answer questions, didn’t process repair, manager continues to defend the team members actions then flips to apologize saying it was inappropriate. It’s not possible for a customer to trust someone with their devices or confidential information when they’re being such drama queens. Did not hear the problem, literally acted like my being upset about the treatment I received was my problem, then would basically roll eyes to apologize- you keep my phone for a week without sending it off for warranty replacement with no missed calls or voicemails then call one day saying we didn’t fill out paperwork properly & it’s not their problem to call, then say they called several times with voicemail but not to the number on file? What’s up guys- get your story straight it you want to blame customers for your lack of follow through. Why argue me saying I didn’t have missed calls or voicemails anyways? Even if somehow multiple voicemails vanished into thin air- what is the service goal in doing that? Why have one person say the called but the other say no one did because it’s not their responsibility? I drop off an Apple device for repair- it is your responsibility to do what you need to to make that happen as a client. At a minimum, as a baseline. Will not purchase anything from here, clearly the toxic attitude is cultural.

Has a problem with the reception on my iPhone 6 and took it to the Apple store in Reston, VA. They replaced the phone but I still had reception issues. I then took my phone into Mac Business Solutions (MBS) and they fixed it!!!! Minimal wait time (faster than the Apple store) and better results. I highly recommend MBS to anyone with a Mac.

CUSTOMER BEWARE, THIS PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!! I understand that business are in business to make money, and I fully endorse ethical business practices, but to utterly RIP SOMEONE OFF to the sum of 1000%!! STORY: I brought my aged I-MAC G5 (2007) in to have the airport card replaced. I was told that due to its age, the airport card is no longer available but that I could purchase a USB WI-FI adapter for $100.00 I went online and found the same WI-FI adapter for $8.00!!! Not $80.000,,,,,but $8.00!!!!! So my question is: At what point do these people draw the line between fair profit and highway robbery?? Give them your business if you want, or GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!
