Went to Staples late Wednesday evening with the hope of testing out some office chairs after returning a terribly uncomfortable one from a popular online retailer. The chairs were all nicely displayed and it didnt take long for an employee to stop by and check on me. Chris was very personable and knowledgeable, and he answered my questions in an upbeat and professional way. I found an insanely comfortable chair that I would swear took my back pain away, so I ended up leaving with it. Didnt get his name, but the manager stopped by and it was obvious he has a good relationship with the employees. All around good experience. Highly recommend getting an office chair from them 👍
Wouldn’t recommend this location at all. My first time here, I waited for 20 minutes at the copy and print section just to have one pound of paper rung up for shredding. My second time here, absolutely no greeting, no assistance, just stares. I went to check out and the older lady at the register didn’t even speak. I asked if I could sign up for the rewards program, I was ignored and checked out. Today solidified why I will never return here. I came looking for yet again another item and again, no greeting, no assistance, just stares. I had to walk around to find someone (who happened to be the manager, Rob) to ask if they had this item in stock. His response, “no”. I waited to see if he would perhaps offer another store location or even suggest another item, nothing. I asked if he could check another store. He didn’t even respond to me, he just pulled out his tablet and then looked up and said, “yeah, the store across town has them”.Not sure what kind of customer service that was but rest assure, I won’t be back. I wish there was an Office Depot around here instead. At least they know how to greet a customer at minimum.
Excellent service, really kind, and knowledgeable staff at printing center! I went in on a Friday to get my wedding menus printed and the staff were great! They printed a sample, which came out way too big, but then found a way to downsize the font and images. They warned that brides looking to use Etsy customized downloads for wedding invites, menus, etc. should be careful because sometimes its hard to size things appropriately depending on the download program. Pricing was fair, paper cutting cost was standard $10, but pricy for 15 menus. Picked up next day and they looked great! Card stock was nice quality for price. Contactless payment and mask wearing was followed. Manager greeted us when we came in and was very nice as well!
I needed to have my flight itinerary printed and a nice young guy tall and thin with dark hair forgot to get his name. He was extremely helpful.
Well the store was pretty empty so social distancing wasnt a problem. I ve been there before and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Too include a mature gentleman greeted me as he walked by tonight.However, the question of a sale item online seems to spark irration from 2 staff members. Which could be why the store has less customers because that is what we want, a bargin, stock items, supplies when we need it. The cashier was the worst. While trying to speak with her about a sale item she was busy grabbing items to ring up and was focused on not speaking and acting like she was interrupted from reading a good book.Very sad service. Especially when she rang up items that i needed a price check. When i requested to remove the items seemed to cause more attitude. She was so busy rushing that she decided not to bag some of my items and stuffed my receipt onto a bag without asking with no one but me in the line. Maybe her hair dye was causing her brain squeeze! Will go to the other location on Frederick road instead of my neighborhood location in the future. Dont need nasty service while we have bigger issues facing our nation!
I’m only giving them a 1 star because you have to in order to write a review. My wife and I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of monitors, computer and other office needs over the years but we will be taking our business elsewhere from here in out. My wife was a victim of racial profiling today and it was really disappointing. I hope that others speak up if this happens to them as well.
I am told it was Wanda who handled my print job. She exceeded my expectations and I could tell that she handled my job with care and paid attn to the details. She made minor tweaks without being asked that were necessary for it to be a great looking presentation. Thank thank you! Staples has won my business for all future print jobs!
It’s too early for the drama & awful attitude the printing center has in this locationI tried to order my notary stamp but the guy there was so rude .Wouldn’t let me go back to check the stamps they had to pick from . I couldn’t order my own stamp on the computer that they have there . He ordered it & messed up my name . Wouldn’t even let me approve the order or what I wanted . It was horrible & WILL NOT be returning . I will take my business elsewhere.I don’t know why these companies / business think we need them ??? There so much competition out there . You need our business to survive in this business world not the other way around for your employees to treat customers this way 😡😑😑😑Seriously SMH
I bought an office chair less than 3 months ago and it broke. I went to the store to see what they can do. They basically told me that if it happened within 14 days I could return it otherwise theres nothing were going to do. They also said try contacting the manufacturer and see if they can help. So my take on this store once they have your money they arent interested in helping you. I managed to get a hold of the customer service department and theyre sending me a new arm. I will not go back to this store
Staff is not knowledgeable and purposely provided bad information about technology on two occasions, once to discourage me from making a purchase and once to get me to purchase a cable that was already included. Cashiers and management seem pleasant, but the people giving tech advice have no business doing so, Google is a better resource.
I try to find my necessary office supplies anywhere but here. This store consistently has the dumbest cashiers and unhelpful employees. On average, I have to spend twice as much time at checkout because the cashier has no training or is clueless on how to ring up a simple order correctly. Right now, we are returning an item that was clearly marked one price but we were charged an additional $20.00, then will have to wait until someone gets a clue how to make this right.This Staples sucks each and every time
Not unlike any other Staples you may visit. The parking lot for this store is a little strange, and crossing safely to reach the safety of the sidewalk can be a challenge. This is no fault of Staples, but it is a reality of shopping at this location.I havent had any bad experiences with the staff. Ive used the option to shop online and pick up the purchase at this store a few times, and it worked out to be an easy process.Ive used the copy center once and the staff here were helpful.
Staples is good in a pinch, or if you have a killer coupon, otherwise Amazon is much cheaper. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good parking. Convenient location.
I visit this location probably every two weeks and have always had a positive experience with staff members I’ve worked with. Keep up the great work, Staples 7th Street! I definitely recommend this Staples location!

There was a problem with my print order not being transferred from another Staples location. The 7th street store took the best of care of me today. They rushed the print job of my blueprints within an hour. When I returned to check out the manager came over to greet me. He apologize for the mix up that had nothing to do with their store. As courtesy he said he was going to give me a discount. The discount for my blue prints was no charge. I was blown away by his customer service. If I ever need printing done at another Staples it will be the 7th street shopping center of Frederick . Thats where my business will go.

Young guy helped me get chair for the advertised sale price even though the sale had already ended, i wasn’t worried about the sale price but it was really cool that they still honored that
I purchased a Microsoft Surface 2 Type Cover from Staples on Cyber Monday. The keyboard was on sale for $50 less than the normal retail price. I chose in store pick up as this was the only option available. The order went through, I received an email stating I could pick the product up in two hours, and the company held the money in my bank account. It was close to close of business, so I went the next morning to pick up my order. I waited in the store with my 18 month old daughter for someone to help me. When a gentleman finally came to retrieve my order he told me orders placed after 3 p.m. were not available until two business days later, even though my confirmation email stated two hours. He asked me to wait, and after about 10 more minutes informed me that my order had been cancelled because it was out of stock. I could see two of the keyboards I ordered hanging on the shelf near where we were standing. After leaving the store, I received an email from Staples saying my order had been cancelled. I called the help line only to be transferred to the same store that did not fill my order to begin with, without any notification I was being transferred. When I called back a second time, a very rude, condescending lady answered the phone. She spoke to me like a child while she tried to explain their system sells products, even if the warehouse is sold out, and I received the notification because the warehouse had run out, but the website didn’t know the warehouse had run out. This makes no sense, as orders are available for pick up in two hours according to the confirmation page and confirmation email. So the warehouse ships individual orders to stores within a two hour time frame? Not likely. The other part of her claim that doesn’t fit is the website not representing what was actually in stock. The other colors of the keyboard were clearly listed as “OUT OF STOCK” on the store’s website, so there was only a glitch with the color I chose? The color and item I chose that was clearly hanging on a shelf close to where I was standing? When I placed my order, I could not order online because there were none available to ship. I could, however, place the order at the sale price for store pick up. The store chose not to honor the price because it was after Cyber Monday, even though I had already purchased the item and they held the money, and are still holding the money in my account. Their website showed the item as being in stock and available for pick up. If it is their system error, they should still honor the price. The item is now $50 more, and I dont plan to do business with this company again. I spent $50 while I was in the store Tuesday, but I am returning all of the items I purchased and will never do business with Staples again. Their business practices are shady, customer service is rude, and they have no problem lying to your face.

My wife and I visited Staples today to buy some school supplies for my 3rd grade elementary class this upcoming school year. At the register we were helped out by a very friendly, courteous and professional gentleman named Kurt. Thank you Kurt!
The worst customer service around is horrible, from the staff on site and then being on hold for over 30 minutes to speak to a store manager. As a small business owner we need to be able to send documents to be printed and then have our runner pick them up. Even if our runner calls from the store, and Im on the phone to authorize the pick up, they wont release them. Having an in-store pick up is much worse. Half the time no one is at customer service, then they cant find the order, and if I call to tell them Im sending a runner from our Company who has a logo shirt on and calls me from the store they wont release the merchandise. To top it off the person that I spoke to (Megan) said well you should have read the rules before you placed the order. I guess Staples does not need my business.
Me and My wife went to this location the customer service was friendly and finding units or items were relatively easy to find.

Every time I visit this Staples I have a bad experience. Is it the short-staffed cant-get-a-single-person-to-help problem? Or the copycenter that takes a half hour to make one copy, only then to discover theres a problem? Or maybe its the fact that checking out is amazingly stupid, and theres only one employee for a long line of customers. Hire more people and better ones!

An ok Staples. The location on Urbana pike is better. The staff tends to be rude and discourteous, as has been experienced on multiple occasions. If youre in the area, you might as well stop by, but I would rather go out of my way to the other location in Frederick.

You can only print a single file at a time without an appointment. The system quotes the price for each file. It is comically slow and tedious. Just left after the first file. It wouldve take a half hour or more for my 15 pdf files.
Had nothing but great experiences. Staff is friendly, sometimes they are a little under staffed, especially in the copying and mailing areas.
I called to see if the store had I-Phone Batteries and if they could replace them. I was told that they had plenty and that I didnt need to make an appointment. When I went to the store the next day they were out. I was not pleased since it is a 20 mile trip into town.
