Costco has been a staple in Frederick for several years now. They run the gamut of bulk foods, casual clothes, electronics, and household gadgets. They have several self scan, or cashiers moving quickly to ease the store checkout experience. Costco has helped me save money on gas too. Its a warehouse chain so its usually very busy with people. Im glad it is around, and the staff seem to be pretty happy with their job.

Really hard to find a parking space! Plus they need to either put a letter or a number at the beginning of each parking lane so you can remember where you parked!!! I was shocked to see that they had no designations on the parking Lanes every other place you go to with a big parking lot does good grief come on Costco!

Love coming to Frederick Costco! Always a fun experience. Enjoy looking at everything!! But its difficult to make decisions on what to buy!!

One of the best wholesalers. Gets a bit crowded and could use another exit (parking lot has 4 entrances but only 2 exits). Best gas prices around too. One of the leading reasons we got a membership in the first place.

Love, love, love! When I first moved down to VA and I was freaked out by how enthusiastic people were about Costco. They have amazing products, I do wish they would go a bit more green and could request few other items. Great prices and products. Except for dog toys, which usually had fallen apart witching the day even when it was Kong, and my dog is the mildest chewer. Returning policy is very nice.Improvements: they should make their website more customer friendly and maybe pickup available. Also, better dog toys and pet treats options that are chicken free.

This is by far my Costco of choice, it is far less busy than any other in the area. They generally have what we need in stock and the lines move quickly.I did notice that they had a shortage of boxes during my last visit so that was a bummer.They have started carrying an adjustable standing desk which is pretty reasonably priced and perfect for us stay at home workers.

Love my costco. Wish they had alcohol at this store. Employees are very nice. Clean store and hey where can you get a great hot dog and drink for 1.50?

It was as expected. A wholesale warehouse full of goodies at a fairly reasonable price. 😀 I go for V8 & toilet tissue, and always leave with a basket full of stuff I never even think about until I walk into that place. I mean, who doesnt need a lifetime supply of Glucosamine or Peanut Butter? Always something unexpected and the prices are also good. Oh, the staff was pleasant too.🤣

Self serve checkout is horrible unless you have 1-3 small items. They screwed up their service with this nonsense. Id rather wait in line than use it. Horrible idea that couldve been great if they can only add a scanning gun like Sams club would make things so much easier and faster.

This store is well organized, clean, and efficient. The checkout lines move fast and with workers to help place items on the belt. The quality is the same as inall their stores, excellent and at a good price.

COSTCO is great! I especially enjoy the Kirkland vitamins and supplements. Their soft seve ice cream is also quite good.

We live in Central PA, a couple hours away. Harrisburg store is slightly closer but this one is better stocked.

Great sale on my favorite coffee … we chose Asian Chicken wraps for an easy dinner when we get home. The street corn dip is one of our favorites as well. Dirk is great at managing self-checkout. It’s great to see the food court coming back! As usual it was crowded on a Sunday afternoon and the parking lot was a zoo … to be expected!

Ive been a Costco customer for about 20 years. Started out at Gaithersburg MD, then moved to Frederick and have been shopping at that location for the last 12 years and always received great service. I only needed a couple of things today so I rode my motorcycle today. When I was leaving the store I was having trouble starting my bike because the battery was dead so I pushed it to the front of the tire shop. I asked 2 of the techs to help me push it so I could get it started. To my disbelief they told me no because they were too busy. I managed to get it started by myself but will never use the tire shop again.

This was a really great place with lots of items to choose from! For example, there are books, plushies, furniture, cleaning, eating, and more! There are small things, such as gift cards, and big things, such as an outdoor table with chairs!

Very great place to do all your shopping needs. Great for everyone. Great customer service. Great sanitation, maintains social distance and masks wearing. The carts are always sprayed after customer use. Theres help provided in the parking lot with putting your stuff in the car.❤

Not enough low/reasonably priced tech items. Costcos focus seems to be on the upper middle class and above. Costco needs to provide more quality discount computer/laptop/tablet/electronic items for working class people.

If Costco carries it (possibly with the exception of tech gear and appliances--only possibly) it will be the highest quality of that item in its category at the most economical price. It may be better/more robust than you needed, but it will be outstanding: best produce (berries, peaches, melons, peppers, lettuce, mushrooms, broccoli) beef, lamb, chicken, fish.A household of three or more cant do more to cut grocery expenses, without sacrificing *top* quality, than to shop at Costco: cereal, diapers, feminine hygeine, body wash, razors, vitamins, cookies, pies, bread...A single person could save money and cover the cost of membership just buying beverages, ice cream, yogurt, and cereal there for a year, but many people wont have the storage space needed* to make shopping there exclusively practical. (*i used to buy the big quantities and divide with neighbors). Once you see the value of what you can get at Costco, prices almost everywhere else will make you wait. I can get that for so much less at Costco is what my young daughter heard when I held off buying something at a regular grocery. She hated it until it became her spending money. At 20 she asked if she could be a Costco member to shop at college. Her roommates had never seen Costco, and she could hardly wait to show them how great it is. (The Holderness Family, social media influencers, video homage to Costco perfectly captured the actual dazzling experience of shopping there. )

I Like shopping there wish they had more gluten free item

I went from my local Costco in Gaithersburg to the one in Frederick just for the price of the gas. In addition to that, I found an uncrowded Costco and no mask was required. A triple bonus.

Parking is always easy. The store is clean and easy to maneuver. Employees are always available and helpful when needed.

They need to get up to speed with Sams Club. Sams Club has an app where you scan your items as you shop, then you press pay, and show the bar code at the door. Its a huge time saver! Costco I like you but HATE the checkout!

Costco is my absolute favorite place to buy Groceries! Stopped by the convenient Frederick, MD location, upon leaving the BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, on my way back home to Virginia! I also shop at the Costco in Leesburg, Virginia, which is also within driving distance from my home!

Great place low prices just wish that they had more brands like cheese for example they only have 3 brands but water they have 30 but I got it if they buy in bulk and its pretty cheep for a membership

I wish there was a way to rate different parts of Costco. This experience is based on ordering furniture via their website. I found a bed set in store. It was $150 more online with “free” shipping and complete assemble. It all went well minus the delivery. On our receipts and even where to sign, it said they had to assemble the furniture. The driver said he didn’t have time. I was blow away. I was on a business call and couldn’t deal with the guy. I asked my wife to work with him and show him that he had to set it up.He said he only had 15 min and not enough time. So strange for this to happen with Costco.We have it all setup now, but it took a solid 3+ hours! I spent 40 minutes chatting with their online support to get $100 back for the trouble. So that is fine, but I’m not excited to order from Costco online for big purchases anymore.

This Costco is excellent if only they sold wine and liquor it would be perfect. They all sell the same stuff but the ease of getting in and out of this Costco sets it apart. Frederick is a small town compared to other Costco locations so much less crowded. I ran in today got just a few items and was out in less than 10 minutes. Parking included. Try that in Fairfax!

Great selection of products, like any other Costco. Awesome gas prices; however if youre coming here to fill up, have some extra time. The pumps are usually 5 cars deep!

I love the Frederick Costco. We get variety of items, all latest. The center is very big with big parking space. We first try anything in Costco if it is available, if not then outside. Let it be the FMCG products, tire center, photo center, food court, everything. The staff is very helpful. They walk with you to find items.Keep up the good work!

The store itself is just fine, this is a complaint about the parking lot. (Posted on behalf of my wife, as well.)tl;dr version: The only two times in our 6.5 years in Frederick we have needed to call 911 for our personal safety have been due to incidents in this Costcos parking lot.On Sunday afternoon at 4:45 my husband and I pulled into the Costco parking lot. We have been members for years and enjoy Costco’s line of products.As we were driving through the parking lot, a woman tried to flag us down. We ignored her thinking that if she noticed a problem with our car she’d tell the store management or she’d just go on about her day, our problems after all aren’t her problems. After we pulled into our parking spot we noticed she was headed our way. We had our young son with us and didn’t feel it was safe to leave our vehicle, not until we knew what was going on.She approached our car and my husband rolled down the window slightly so we could hear each other. This woman began demanding money, screaming at us that she needed money and her kids were starving and why couldn’t we give her money. She was angry and aggressive. My husband told her no and closed the window. She continued to literally scream and curse at us. I told my husband to call 911 which he did. The woman only walked away when she saw him pick up his phone.We reported the incident to the 911 dispatcher as well to Costco management.Costco management told us that they do have a problem with homeless people from the nearby hotel.Back in 2016, we had what we and the police believe to have been an attempted kidnapping. I had my then 2-year-old daughter in the shopping cart when two men began to pull the cart from my hands. When I yelled at them to stop that my kid was in the front seat of the cart, they said “oh we didn’t see her”. When I reported the incident to Costco management, they refused to take me seriously thinking that it was a custody dispute. Why they wouldn’t have scoped it out first is beyond me.This has us up to 2 incidents in the Costco parking lot that have resulted in official police reports as well as complaints to Costco management. The police have been wonderful, Costco management not so much (the first they were awful, the second they were okay). They seem to be very aware of the bad behavior in the parking lot yet do nothing about it.My husband’s comment to me after the incident on Sunday was “This is the least safe place for us in Frederick”. He’s right. And we shop along the Golden Mile frequently.The Costco chain has done some very innovative work in terms of customer safely, specifically the lockdown mode when a child goes missing. Why they are so cavalier about their customers being harassed in the parking lot is beyond my comprehension.Their lack of concern is putting their customers at risk. They are also putting street people at risk, someone might decide it is a great place to harm a street person.Costco is responsible for maintaining good behavior in their parking lot, just as all business owners are. If they weren’t, anybody could say “Let’s settle this in the parking lot”.We are extremely frightened and disappointed by our experience with Costco. We want to publicly document our experiences so that everybody going to that store knows what to expect. Two incidents where Costco really doesn’t seem to care is two to many. Two incidents involving the police is two to many - and in our 6.5 years in Frederick, these are the only times we have called 911 out of fear for our safety. We have never had similar experiences at other Costco stores.Be alert and stay safe if you choose to shop at this Costco location.

Costco not only failed to bring us the right items and kit, Costco is now horribly delaying the delivery and installationI have spoken on the phone, for 1h 40min, with a person named Patrick from the Logistics department, and I was told that this item cant be installed until Monday the 3rd. Also Patrick has told me that there is no redelivery of the washer and dryer. I would like to specify that the team who was supposed to install the washer and dryer on Monday 26, took the items back with them!This situation is putting us in a very uncomfortable position. I trusted Costco to be fast and efficient in deliveries and customer service. Today, due to an error made by your team, and the luck of operating expedite, I am being stacked with loads of dirty laundry. I have two kids at home and I do not have the convenience to simply wait for weeks for a washer

Very busy!! We went to buy 4 tires and have them installed! They were very busy! But managed to get the car done in less time than they originally said! Plus, the tires are 70k mile warranty, along with the road Hazzard package! Which comes with life time balancing and rotation, and free flat repairs! And a pro-rated tire replacement if it cant be repaired!!Which I always get on any and all tires we buy! (Trust me its when you dont have it that you will need it!)The young guys working on the cars are hustling along! They have a routine they follow when we were watching them install our tires!When you need good tires at a good price! I would definitely recommend this location!

A good, standard Costco store. The staff were nice when I couldnt locate a couple of items since they had partially changed their layout. I love their Kirkland brand, and I love that they seem to have started introducing healthier items in their line up

A well managed and clean Costco. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic this store was my go to for food and other necessities. The staff were actually walking around and spraying the freezer door handles with sanitizer after people had taken something out. I have never seen that level of devotion from any other business throughout the pandemic. 5 BIG STARS!

Its Costco, they have what I want, caused me to get a bigger frezzer! They also have everything I never knew I needed till I spotted it there. I always thought the carts were to big, lol they need to be bigger!

We really enjoy shopping there. The printer ink, ptouch tape cartridges (get you almost 2x more for the money than staples) milk eggs, and fresh produce, Lactose free milk and Silk milk are also very reasonable. Battery prices cant be touched by any other store.

The tire center at this Costco is great, staff is friendly and they do a great job. I brought a tire previously purchased there in with a leak. Covered under warranty they fixed the leak and cleaned the tire sensor, no charge. My car was ready before I even finished shopping.

It amazes me that Costco, which I love, doesnt provide its employees with a standard face mask. Many of the employees have inadequate masks and many more dont wear their mask properly. This may sound petty but I expect more from Costco

Lines arent bad even with covid-19 protocols

It wasnt crowded and the lines were fast.

The beef brisket sandwich is worth the trip alone. And Costco chickens are a favorite of mine and my little dogs.

The place was very crowded, but, Im sure its because of Mothers Day tomorrow. Yet we still were able to get through the lines fast.

I like the large parking space at this Costco and the size of Costco. Does not feel claustrophobic!! Also the convenience of having the gas station.

I prefer this warehouse over Gaithersburg. I happily drive to it. Its never overcrowded and the workers are very nice.

Love my local Costco store! My family does at least 75% of our grocery shopping here. Whatever Costco carries in its stores, you can almost always guarantee it’s a quality product. They are also great on accepting returns. This location can get pretty busy, especially on weekends but it’s never as crazy as the Costco in Gaithersburg, MD.
