My Giant foods is a fully stocked grocery. Since I am an amputee, it is great since the store footprint is not massive. Grab the things I need and be on my way. Great employees, helpful deli / seafood folks, all good. Plus, I think they have a really great online order/pick up service.

My Giant in Frederick is the Best. The store is always clean and stocked! Workers come around and ask if you need help, even without asking! And the deli,,,the boars head meat selection is superb! The Cashiers always thank me for coming. You can tell what kind of place this is to work for because they have had alot of the same people for years, and they take pride in this store, and are genuinely happy!

Went in, fount the two items I was looking for, paid & left. Nice place (as I expect) & short lines.

The service I received from the Deli department was just phenomenal!! A young lady by the name of Traci helped me out with completing my every need! She made my shopping at the grocery store enjoyable again!!

Giant does many good things but they fall down in the produce department. The fruit appears to be a lower grade compare its competition. In general you cant count on the store to replenish sold stock as you cant always find what you bought a week ago. Also restocking moves items constantly causing wasted time searching for items. The employees are all gracious and helpful

Fine for shopping light. Meat department just average. Have to check expiration dates closely on their meat as some outdated. When I pointed out to staff it was if it was a common occurrence. Not impressed how it was handled.

The shrimp was steamed to much on bay I told him,like and I think he didnt listen very bad taste

I have been shopping at this giant for over 20 yrs! The pharmacy is the best! When no other place would order my meds when we first moved here they did so i am very loyal to them! CVS pretty much kicked me at of the store so I dont walk into that place!!!

Would give 5 stars but the name is misleading... all food here was normal sized. Disappointed would be an understatement.

Giant doesn’t even try to compete with better stores. Most sale items out of stock or not even carried in this store. Their online system is also a mess. Guaranteed at least half the order will be out of stock. They cancel pick up order with no explanation. Every time you try to give them another chance ya get burnt. That’s fine, will glady give my money to their competitors. These problems existed before pandemic so they can’t blame it on that.

I listened in horror as the employee working customer service made fun of me to the other employees. Im old but Im not deaf. I did ask him to stop. Ive been coming to this store for almost a decade. Normally customer service is great. Tonight, it was insulting.

My Giant in Urbana is a terrific, full-service grocery store. Huge brand selection, ever-growing organic selections and produce, excellent meat and seafood. Easy access to other necessities in a single shopping trip.

This is the most unreliable grocery store I have been to. They are constantly out of everything. If you ask for help they asked excuses on why they can not. I actually had a butcher tell me he was not certified to use a knife. Thats like a deli person not being able slice your ham. I have always shopped at giant my entire life. 3 years dealing with the excuses at this location. No more. Do yourselffavor shop some where else

I love Giant ! I can get stuff there that some stores don’t have but when I go there I’m always being followed. I have my wallet in my hands because it’s a quick run I don’t need my purse . I’m a mom of 4 and born USA citizens with Hispanic parents . So just by what I look like once I’m in those doors they have a white blond lady following me around the store as if I’m about to steel?? When she sees me checking out she disappears . It’s very ridiculous actually. Sad really

Prices are a little higher at Giant. I used the pharmacy recently for the first time and was extremely happy with the pharmacist. Called my doctor for me and went way above the call of duty. Filled my scrip super fast. Like most supermarkets they need more cashiers on duty. Overall I like Giant.

I called Sunday to make sure the pharmacy had our medicine is stock before a trip. They ensured me it was ordered and to call Thursday morning to pick up. They NEVER ordered it. Apparently epilepsy medication is something they dont take seriously. I arrive and the pharmacy tech is down right rude and does not even apologize but says it isnt their fault. As a healthcare provider I emplore you NOT to use this pharmacy if you value your or your families health. They will simply shrug and say not my problem when you have medicines you rely on for health and safety. They should be ashamed of their services.

Being one of the largest Supermarket chains, they have the ability to cover just about every food need but Ive ever had. The flower departments have been pretty nice too, picked up a dozen roses from my wife today. Had a nice special with Dannon Yogurt so I stocked up on that as well. Ive been to this particular giant probably 10 times and will continue to come. The wait staff was very helpful and the store was nice and clean. Well-lit, spacious parking lot tends to round the good things out. Well worth the trip, the prices compete with just about everybody. Two thumbs up

Giant located near Walkersville MD is a decent place to get groceries. I can easily find items although I can tell this is an older store its very clean and fairly organized. I wish their deli was a bit more modern otherwise a great place to shop.

Great grocery store - one of my favorites. Great selection of all kinds of good foods. Large and excellent produce section - very roomy and easy to maneuver. An entire aisle of natural foods. Great meat/fish counter - quality is always very high.

Surprisingly well composed staff given the freakout status of the shoppers. Naturally they were low on food items but were stocking as best they could.

Lunch! I go here sometimes for lunch since they have a fresh salad bar. That and a few other items make for a pretty quick visit. I dont typically do all of my grocery shopping here but since this location is right next to my work it makes for a very convenient fill in during the week. Thumbs up to them for fast and friendly service along with having any grocery item that I need!

All in all its pretty much like most any grocery store, what sets it apart from the rest is their self checkout. Ueing your loyalty card you can get a scanner, scan your items, put them in your bag and when you are finished scan the scanner at the register pay and go. No need to unload the cart and bag.

Staff the cash registers! It shouldnt take longer to cash out than it does to collect the groceries in the first place. And we may not have melted, wasted ice cream by the time we get home.

I live close by and used to love shopping here. Lately there are fewer and fewer employees working here. A week or so ago I went for a few items and was stunned to see one cashier open, with 3 people in line. I opted for self checkout, even though I don’t normally because they steal jobs, and they were all in use with 4 people waiting. I have decided to do the majority of my grocery shopping at a competitor, because at least they staff their stores better.

Love it! Clean, friendly, great sales and deals! Their meats, poultry, seafood and produce are always fresh and of superior quality. Plus discounts on gas which adds up easily. Plenty of parking and wide aisles which can accommodate mothers with kids as well as disabled people. I shop around a lot and I keep coming back to Giant 👍

Always clean and easy to navigate. This Giant has the handheld scanners to scan as you shop so you dont have to take the time at checkout. So thats pretty neat

Had everything Im stock I was looking for.

Not all Giant stores are equal, and this is one of the best. Consistently clean, well-stocked, and a friendly staff. I actually drive a little further to shop at this store than the Giant closer to my house.

This particular giant is an actual scam. A lot of times they will just stop stocking certain items in favor for more expensive ones. For example, King Arthur Flour, stopped stocking the 2kg bags, instead labelled the 1kg bags as New item! for more than twice the per pound price. Stopped stocking the 19 cents per pack yeast in favor for the 2 dollar per pack yeast. The price tag for the original item would still be there but the stock will never be refilled. A lot of times they will not have the most basic things. I went in once during the day to find the onion shelf empty. One time I found a dead fly in some produce after purchasing it. I could go on.

Went in twice today (7/7): once at 9am, once at 4pm, and both times they had NO fried chicken. Not even cold fried chicken. If they are out of stuff early, they tell you Please come back later, and when you do that, they say Well, you should have been here earlier in the day. So... which is it??? And this is *not* the first time, either. They had plenty of the roasted whole chickens and baked chicken parts... which means they make way too many of those, but not enough of the fried. To add insult to injury, they also had a crab truck out front that smelled so foul, I had to hose off my car when I got home becuase it still had the stench stuck to it. Wegmans charges 3 times as much as Giant for fried chicken, but at least they always HAVE it. Saving money isnt doing me much good when I cant even *spend* it becuase they dont have what I need.

I went in around 9:00pm to pick up some milk and cereal for the morning. While in the only available line, the lady at the front was looking for change in her purse. There was one employee in line as well as the cashier standing there, and we were directly next to the customer service desk.The other customer at the back of the line began cursing at her and being super overboard aggressive. He was throwing threats and looked ready to throw down. I told him to cut it out, and he threatened me instead. The lady he was yelling at got out of there immediately. The employees said nothing while this big dude just stands there threatening everyone.The management and employees of this store have no backbone and should be ashamed of themselves. The Wegmans down the road is a million times nicer with the same prices. Only stop at this store if youre desperate.

Generally good selection, prices fair. Good produce and meat depts. Employees polite but not as friendly as Safeway. One big annoyance, sometimes it takes quite a while for an employee to show up at the seafood dept. Thats ok because they are presumably busy, but the annoying thing is that other employees see me standing there and do nothing. Otherwise its generally a nice place to shop.

A very FRIENDLY, clean and well organized store. Excellent selection & condition of produce. Cashiers are very helpful and fast. Self checkout machines work and dont need manager intervention. Pharmacists are helpful and professional (which cannot be said of Monocacy CVS). The meat and seafood are fresh. The isles are wide and easy to navigate ... I cant think of any problems Ive ever had at this store in the 12 years Ive lived here. I do miss the Giant in Frederick.

Good place to shop great prices but poor managers special on last day meat, instead of discounting the lowest price they discount the full price, so if the meat is on sale you get 10% instead of the advertised 33%

Please boycott this company. Any company that is so desperate for a dollar that they make their employees work on Christmas Day is not worth my time or dollar.

Just wanted a small cake donation for a end-of-year ceremony at local high school....nothing big, just whatever small cake they could donate. Was told they have met their donation budget for the year. Really, a $10 cake to local school. No wonder Wegmans rocks. Within 24 hours we got a nice donation. Wont shop Giant anymore. I agree with Deb S. Giant not a community store anymore.

I went in one day and all they had open, aside from one register lane, were the self-cashier lanes..... Other than that, the store has the same products as any other grocery store? 🤔.

Buy flowers there, problem with not having babys breath. Flowers dont look right without it. People r great there.
