I love it here. Gluten free pre prepared food are a little thin but a huge selection otherwise. Incredibly helpful staff. My only complaint is my husbands wheelchair doesnt fit through most of the tills.
Great food, all organic, many bulk items like grains, seeds, flour and spices. Members get a small discount. Well arranged and easy to navigate. Lovely produce. A good section for vitamins, supplements and toiletries. A good food bar and deli section for a quick meal in. Reasonable prices, but not cheap.
This is a great place.to get natural foods! It has a great selection, including a large selection of self serve bulk spices, nuts, and grains. An extensive nutritional supplement section. Also a cafe to order hot/cold lunch or dinner. And the employees are so helpful whenever Im looking for something. Just a really nice market!
*Amazingly* friendly staff, willing to help with virtually anything! The larger of their two locations, CM on West 7th has a large selection of organic and fair-trade products, and much of their produce is sourced locally. And no, you dont *need* to be a member (owner) of the co-op in order to shop here -though after shopping here, youll probably want to be!
Common Market was one of the few places that carried Gluten Free foods back in the day when my son was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. They continue to be on of my favorite places to go for all things organic, gluten free and delicious!
I visited The common market for the first time. I just moved into the area. It gave me a whole foods and sprouts vibe which I liked. Its clean, the service is good, and the quality of produce and other foods is good. Definitely coming back.
Feels like traders joes if it focused on local food and goods! New favorite place to shop in the area. Love supporting multiple local businesses all at once!
Staff are always so friendly and knowledgeable in their products. I love how their produce is always so fresh and a lot of of the time from local farms. And not only produce but personal care products, meat and cheese, and crafts and other knick knacks from local artisans and farms as well. I highly suggest going to their newer location on 7th street. I worked at the Buckeystown location when they first set it up, back 16 years ago. I also forgot to mention about their cafe where you can get a lot of great sandwiches, coffee, juice and or smoothies made to order.
Best place hands down for organic food in the area. Lots of fun different options and over all a very nice shopping experience-clean and bright.
Love the common market. Its great knowing that the produce is organic.
A nice co-op store with a healthy variety of organic food and produce. I really like their shake bar as well. I just wish their prices werent so high - I generally find what Im looking for at other similar stores for cheaper.
First time being inside and always see people outside eating so figured I would try out the cafe. I was greeted by the cashier, he was very nice. I wanted to tip, but said they couldn’t accept them. My 3 stars comes from the young man that brought my Club. I heard everyone’s name being called and when it came to mine, he said “Club”. My first time there, quite a few people in line, didn’t want to accidentally grab someone’s meal, so I asked him “For Dani?” And he rudely responded with “well did you get a club?” And stormed back to preparing food. I get food industry is fast paced, but his snarky attitude is why it was my first and last time. The cashier that took my order wished me a good day after it happened. Which was nice. Kinda disappointed Bc they had A LOT of really cool things.
We were disappointed that the take away was closed by the time we came in the evening. We came here because we couldnt find a Whole Foods in Frederick. Decent selection, not too crowded, a bit pricey, to be expected, but definitely quality products for the money.
Stopped by after visiting OneLife fitness center. My club was sold to OneLife and next week Ill be allowed to use the local OneLife places. So whenever I go to OneLife, Ill stop in the Common Market. Why not? Its right there. The have different stuff. Always something interesting.
Great local, organic focused grocery store. I am addicted to the spinach hummus wrap! Always great stuff, super fresh produce and the staff couldnt be friendly or more helpful.
Good selection of organic and healthy options. Clean and well stocked shelves. Helpful staff.
Small friendly organic market co-op. Love not having to choose between organic or plastic packaging. Can also purchase organic fruit and vegetables in singles.
Able to find plenty of neat/niche food/drinks here. Local produce as well. Unfortunately their custom sandwich shop has been closed recently which was my favorite reason to visit.
The aisles are easily labeled. I was able to get what I needed. The line wasnt too long so it was a relatively quick trip.
Clear store with friendly and nice staff . best quality off foods
Wonderful store and coop concept.$200 annual membership a little expensive for 1 person. Great deal for a family.
Not as good service as previously. While selection is still good, some items disappear without notice. Sometimes easier to order online.
I always find something new or interesting here, and the manager was super helpful and kind when I visited.
The staff are always super courteous. I will only buy my produce from here! Their produce selection is always fresh and flavorful!
I love the Common Markets!!! So amazing that when I moved to Frederick County over 34 years ago the Common Market was a tiny little store across the street. If 10 shoppers where in there you have to turn sideways to let someone by! A little growth?
Very Clean, awesome organic selection and now 2 location in frederick
Fantastic place to grocery shop! We travel 2 hours, round trip, each week to shop here. You can’t get this quality of food anywhere else near us.
Love this store. They have everything you need.
The Common Market is the supermarket alternative for fresh organic food. Small store that caters to the vegan, organic, vegan crowd.
Always find goodies at the common market! Well priced and healthy groceries that are great for any dietary restrictions.
The original and still better of the two locations. The day their cafe reopens this will go up to 5 stars, I just find it awkward that the temporary closure has now extended nearly 2 months and somewhat doubt it reopens for a while yet
Very clean and well organized. Has everything you would look for from a typical organic market. Great place we will be coming back to regularly
Love this place!! So glad this new location opened near me. It’s absolutely my favorite place to get so many different products in one place. Check it out. You will not be disappointed
More vegan items to shop for. 😃
Fabulous customer service and a marvelous selection of healthy foods and products. Produce is especially delicious.
Love this place. Great variety of organic and LOCAL foods. A little pricey but its worth it in my opinion. Friendly and helpful service.
Super friendly and easy to find staff. Solid veggie and fruit choices. And I love the bulk section. Plus I just found a new face moisturizer with SPF that I like.
Such a great bulk selection, and always fresh
Would like to see more supplements added to their shelves.
Vegan love this cruelty free item Carrier, shop here because of the Vegan items and a nice staff well kept store
I love this organic market. You call find nice fresh stuff here.
Fresh produce!! Great organic selection!!
Love the local produce here. We normally get coconut water from here which is really awesome and tastes so fresh and no sugar in it.
I really like shopping here. Staff is always, always helpful. Prices are very reasonable
Great produce and a nice selection of a variety of organic products and vitamin/wellness department.
Think Whole Foods, or Moms but better. Better as in the products are actually local.
Great organic options & helpful service. They have a good bulk foods area.
Excellent selection of products. A bit expensive.
The best market with a great locally sourced selection of foods.
Helpful staff suggested options for diet.
Great selection with good prices. Everyone’s so pleasant and the upkeep is always wonderful.
This is a very nice natural and organic grocery store with a wide selection. They have a cafe/restaurant.
Great service & tasty combucha
Locally run organic co-op. Good selection of products. Friendly staff...provided you have your mask up.
Found the Swiss chard I wanted. Also the Cajun spice. Wonderful store. Nice people.
Love this place! My family and I get all of our vitamins and pre and pro-biotics from here. We love the super nice and knowledgeable staff. My sister buys her CBD here. And I cant get enough of their smoothies and ginger beer! It really has a Great selection of wholesome and organic food.
This market offers high quality food, meats and seafood that is either grown locally or produced naturally. Their staff are friendly, knowledgeable and happy to assist. The warm atmosphere is welcoming and a pleasurable, which allows one to try something new and purchase their favorite natural, organic or NON-OGM produce.
My favorite place to Grocery shop in Frederick! The staff is super friendly, I feel like they have worked hard to maintain a clean safe environment during this pandemic. Their produce is very reasonably priced for organic foods and the meat is about the same price as going to a regular grocery store chain. Highly highly recommend!
If you know organic markets, then you know Common Market. This one could be at a better location, honestly. I didnt know it was there until I heard about it. Its tucked back behind a few other stores. Better bus access, etc. The downtown area needs a grocery store but seems like theyre only being open to local and family businesses. Not a problem. Common Market has all kinds of things organic. I grew up with Davids Natural Market back in HoCo so Im like a kid in a candy shop in this place. Right at home. They recently (within the past year or so I believe) started selling crafted things from Nepal and such, as well. Very VERY great and nice and wholesome store. I hope you like them like I do, and the best way to find out is to pay them a visit, even just to take a look. Got to eat? The Common Market is where its at. Cafe included.
Love the Common Market, so much good food to find!
I love love love The Common Market. I can confidently shop knowing that everything I buy is high quality and safe for me and my family to consume. From food to supplements to personal care to household products, The Common Market can be trusted to have the best of the best. Thats why I am also an owner. I put my money where my mouth is. 💕
I fell on a wet floor here, but the immediate attentiveness of the staff to make sure I was okay really demonstrates that the staff and this company believe in a higher level of service. I already come here because of the variety of organic and artisan foods, I feel even better knowing that their service and care reflect that same excellence.
Everything is good except for some items I found the prices were high than their competitors. I would visit again.
Always good.
Had what I wanted.
They carry the gluten free bagels Against the grain, love it!
When I stayed in Maryland the common market was one of my go to places to shop. Friendly people and good groceries.
My go to grocery store for many years!
Great organic food with a very nice selection.
Great smoothies
Find lots of products that are gluten free and dairy free. Staff is always welcoming and helpful. Meat is too expensive though
I love the Market!
Great selection, friendly staff, bigger inside than expected
Good produce and charging station for my plig-in hybrid
Love the common market the store was clean and the food is fresh and the staff was friendly.
Great selection of fresh, bulk, packaged and frozen foods for all types of eaters (carnivore, vegetarian, gluten-free, vegan, Paleo, ...). Wonderful staff!!
The Co-OP is one of my favorite places for groceries and introduction to new healthy products. Almost all of our favorite vegan options are available and many hard-to-find items. Friendly staff and service too.So, need to adjust my review based on what seems to be the store policy for purchase of bulk liquid refills. The store sells their bulk liquids based on weight rather than volume. The first time this happened, I assumed that it was a new employee who didnt understand how liquids are measured differently than solids; the second time I thought that it was unusual that they weight the empty bottle before purchase. Then I was charged by weight again. I called customer service and the representative understood my concern and said that they had thought it unusual as well but that it needed to be elevated to a manager for response. I left my number and was told I should expect a call within the next day or two. A full week later without response, I called and left a message and am still awaiting response. I wont be purchasing bulk liquid refills from them any longer and consumers need to be aware of this policy.Customers are overcharged for bulk liquid refill purchases as the store charges by weight and not volume.
One of my favorite places for Organic foods close to Costco and Sams Club in Frederick on the way there is Boscovs which is one of my wifes favorite placesto shop for clothing, traffic can be a little rough I mostly drive thru town after I arrive VIA Rd 15.
This place reminds me so much of wholefoods! Mostly organic and healthy food! Will definitely be back!
Just avoid the Dodahs Kitchen prepared food. Got two kinds of lasagna and they were not good. in fact, the plain lasanga was downright horrible, actually upset my stomach after eating 1/4 of it. Only after I bought did I noticed its vegan.
People come from DC, PG county, Montgomery county PA, Baltimore West VA...etcAwesome store since before this location, we love to support our NO SO BIG farmers and we hope they could lean more that way now but is understandable that products are being put out there and the costumer always demands the supply. Their selection I’m sure will get bigger as the new much bigger second store will open next year. The staff is terrific ( of course there is always one or two that are so so ) ain’t Capitalism great? LOVE FREDERICK COUNTY!
I love this store! I love their hot bar section and all of the organic, vegan, and vegetarian options. I also love how fresh their food is. The infused water they have upfront is delicious. I also like all of the natural products. Cant wait to go back.
Always fresh foods, clean stores, and helpful employees.
The fresh made smoothies were not very tasty and they come one size....small. A lot of their products have sugar in them. Their prices are not very competitive either. When they were a smaller store it was actually better. Their hot bar is very nice and they allow a person to a small sample...try before you buy is a nice feature. Their cold salad bar is exceptional!
Their sandwich shop is amazing. People are always friendly. I love the selection of organic foods. They have the best bulk section around. Only downside is certain things are unexpectedly expensive.
Great selection of local products, friendly staff, and fair prices.
Great spoke for local organics food. Great variety and quality.
Nice selection but a little pricey. Staff friendly courteous and helpful
Really like this store Ive shopped here since early 2000s
I stumbled across this store when I was bored, now I shop here for all of my groceries.Something about this store just shines above the rest. I prefer this over Wegmans due to the comfy size and excellent selection of grocer items.I trust my choices are safe when I shop here, I feel as if the store puts more effort into what goes onto the shelves then the major chains. They have friendly staff who are always knowledgeable about their section, unlike every other store I have been to.The staff is very welcoming and will always help with a smile. The food is so much better for your family. The prices are VERY good, cheaper then other organic stores in the area. They have a great membership (one time fee) that you should invest in if you plan on shopping here often.I love the produce selection and the fresh meat, I cant go back to eating that other meat from stores. The new location should hopefully bring back the seafood department!
This is one of my favorite places to shop. The place is very well managed and the service is great! Their prices are the most competitive Ive seen for this category of grocery store (organic). I also like how they have a wide variety of novel food items and other things that are hard to get elsewhere.
The organic experience we needed!
Truly a vegan’s paradise. Only downside was that most of the fresh breads had honey in them. I do wish they had more variety of affordable vegan breads.
Good seafood. You have to get there by 2 or so if you want live crabs.
Great place! I have been a member for years! Great veggies, food supplements and staff.
I attend events in the community room here. I love the barista station and the hot bar has nice options for lunch. The prices are on the level of a Whole Foods. They have a great looking produce and a very friendly staff. This market makes you want to hang out rather than just come in for a quick errand.
