This is an amazing store with wonderful customer service. I wont go into a ton of details about my personal circumstance, but suffice to say Eric (the owner) is an incredible person who really cares about helping people. I am a music newbie and had a major issue with a used instrument, and Eric graciously helped sort the issue out even though he definitely did not need to. I would rate this store 10 stars if I could, and am definitely going to come back for any repairs, rentals, or purchases in the future. I have had other friends buy instruments from here and they all also loved their purchases. Please support this store--they deserve it! THANK YOU ERIC!!!

Great locally owned music store. Always has what we need for the kids music programs. Have seen the owner attend many of the Frederick County Public Schools Band programs. Always friendly and helpful staff.

The staff was very nice and not that pushy. I had very bad guitar amplifier and stopped by to find a new one. They helped me find the one that was right for me. Did I mention how affordable it was? They wiped down a guitar so I could borrow it to test the amp, and to my surprise, it was set up! It played amazing right away! The staff was very nice and would answer all of my questions. They were very professional and knew the specifications of their products(unlike when I bought my first guitar at music and arts. They didnt even know the color and forgot the accessories it came with). Overall, this store is great. Great products, great service, I wish I could rate it 6 stars! I really hope it doesnt close any time soon because I plan on returning!

Selection is pretty good for slightly above the dirt cheapest beginner stuff. Great for a quick stop for strings in a pinch. Friendly staff, but The kid at the counter won’t ever leave me alone and it has made me leave a few times bc I didn’t feel like having him breathing down my neck while I was trying to shop. I thought it was really odd that they made me give them a ton of personal info for a squier.

Excellent service when I desperately needed an amp with microphone in a pinch. The saleman was so kind and helpful on the phone and in person. Thank you for having good old fashioned customer service.

Duet with Music is an amazing store with great employees. Recently we had a concert for the Frederick Regional Youth Orchestra and one of our students left his saxophone at school. One quick phone call to Duet with Music and they saved the day!! They loaned us a saxophone and we were able to get reeds from them and the student was able to perform at the concert. This is not the first time we have encountered their kindness. Eric and his employees are willing to go over and above for the customer. If you need instruments or music there is no reason to go anywhere else but Duet with Music!!

Very helpful

I walked in with a trumpet in hand and the owner got out his repair tools before I even said a word. He knew right away that the mouthpiece was stuck, without me having to say anything. He fixed it in 2 minutes and I was on my way. I love Duet with Music!

A young lady that referred to herself as Richie is absolutely fantastic. I was impressed with the maturity and professionalism. The knowledge and understanding with how to gauge the correct size and level of quality instrument along with her recommendation was nothing short of excellent and helpful to someone that knows nothing of instruments. I felt her ability to sell is of the upmost respect and not from a sales pitch.

We have been customers since my son started guitar lessons almost 4 years ago. Eric and his staff (especially Michael, Brandon, and Adam) have been a tremendous help over the years. We look forward to our visit each week. Cant say enough good things about them!
