Salesman didnt convey the product ordered, crew arrived with wrong product. Although received a couple emails re: upcoming apptmt (waited 4 mos); I had to call and inquire when the install would happen as it was past the projected date. Furthermore, they stated the delay was on Utiliquests, when am too rural for Utiliquest and so informed them twice. Was pleased with the end result. But do feel they do not communicate well.

We reached out to this company in mid May about a quote on fencing materials. We were emailed and told our inquires would be handle by Kenny about materials and that he’d be in touch. At the beginning of June and after waiting weeks for Kenny to call us, we called the office and Kenny told us that we needed to set up an appointment to have someone do an estimate. So then we set up an appointment for an estimate on materials and they were able to get someone out the very next week.On Tuesday, Luther came out and was extremely polite and friendly. He measured our backyard and told us to give him until Friday to get the estimate over for materials.The following week after not hearing anything from Luther, I called the office and was put through to his voicemail. For THREE weeks, I emailed and called Luther about the estimate. After almost a month, one of the girls up front said “Luther already sent that.” No, Luther did not send it. So she “resent” the estimate and it was the subtotal for labor and materials, not just materials. I then had to call back and Luther actually answered the phone. I asked him if we could have the estimate for just materials like we originally wanted. He literally told me that it wasn’t his job, to contact Roxanne. So then I called Roxanne… multiple times. Roxanne not only doesn’t answer the phone… but does not return voicemails. For over two weeks I tried to get in touch with Roxanne. I finally emailed everyone that I knew in the company and told them this was unacceptable and that we needed the estimate for just materials. I was emailed back by someone I had never spoken to and was told that I would be contacted as soon as possible. Well, the next morning when I still hadn’t heard from Roxanne, I called again. She finally answered the phone and acted as if she’d been waiting for my phone call and was rude about it. After this, I let my husband handle it because they were not going to be happy if I had to keep interacting with them.He ordered the materials and the nice gentleman who helped him load everything into his truck was a pleasure to work with. He was told everything was there and to call if we had any problems.But once he got home, we realized that no, we did not have all the materials. There was no gate (who puts up a fence without a gate and why would this company not give us one?) most of the hardware wasn’t there and we had so much lumber left over because the boards were different lengths and thicknesses. We had to go get more supplies before we could start and had more lumber left over than is acceptable. I’ll attach a picture of the leftover lumber we paid for that we couldn’t use.I can say with 100% certainty that we made the wrong choice by going with this company. It should not be this difficult to get in touch with someone there. When you have people buying thousands of dollars worth of materials and then sell them the wrong materials or forget some… it’s absolutely ridiculous. Go with any other fencing company in Frederick, don’t use this one. The customer service is terrible and you’ll end up wasting your time and money.

We had a great experience with Frederick Fence! Neil worked with us at length to go over several different options for our fence. Matt kept us updated throughout the scheduling process and responded to any questions that we had. And Roberto and team did an EXCELLENT job installing the fence! They even built custom gates for our fence that we love.

I normally dont post reviews, but my experience with Frederick Fence Co. has been so bad to date that I was compelled to.During my estimate I was told that they were 6-8 weeks out for projects and that the fence I was getting was already on hand. I signed the contract and was immediately told that they had made an error on the estimate price, and despite the fact that I had already signed the contract for an agreed upon price and made a deposit, that the cost would be almost $1,500 more. After a back and forth they finally agreed to actually honor their contract and give me the original price, but only if I made concessions and changed the gate sizes.Fast forward to trying to schedule my fence install and it was quickly pushed back with no date in sight. I asked Matt for an earlier date (more in-line with the 6-8 weeks I was told before signing) as the fence was to be installed around a new pool and I have children, and other contractors to work around. Weeks went by and no contact. I reached out again through email, and then called and left messages. Still no reply from Matt. I finally got him on the phone today and was told that he didnt have an answer for me so thats why he has not responded. Absolutely terrible communication.Now they are telling me that my fence likely wont be installed until late July but they cant give me an actual date despite the fact that my liner and water were added this week and I have small children to worry about. They just dont seem to care about the situation, or keeping their word.

While the initial experience wasn’t great because of a very long wait time, and poor communication about that time, changes, and when Fenceco could fit us in, they ultimately did manage to undo the delays, and then they did an absolutely terrific job. Matt Braden was particularly helpful, and the team that did the install was great. We’re very happy with the fence and would use Fenceco again.

I started to search the fence companies several months ago. After I compared the price, the material quality, and warranty provided, I decided to go with Frederick Fence. I am so glad I choose this company to do my fence. The sales representative, Perry, is very nice, professional, and provide a lot of information on the fence to us. Unlike the other fence companies who may hire the contractors to install the fence, Frederick Fence actually send their own employees to install the fence. Mike Sweeney and Tim Demmons did a fantastic job. They paid attention on every detail of the job even though that day was very hot. I chose Aluminum fence, but at the corner, I used the solid wood. It is amazing to see Mike and Tim to make the wood panel on site so it fits perfectly in the corner. Their customer service is also very nice. Whenever you call during their working hours, there is always a person to answer your call and try to solve the issues for you. I am very satisfied with the job done by Frederick Fence.

I have used Frederick fence company 3 times for residential fences. The wood fences turned out beautifully and I am very happy with the aluminum pool fence we just had installed. They make sure the pool fences are up to code, and the latching gates are great. We had to have part of it installed in concrete and everything turned out even better than I pictured. Another reason why I keep using Frederick fence is the easy financing options they have. It makes purchasing a fence much more feasible. I recommend the quality of product and installation. The sales team is also very helpful and responsive.

My issue does not include the installers that came to the house. Antonio and his crew were awesome. My issue is design feature. My neighbors and I all agreed to get a fence and the neighbors got theirs done sooner because or personal reasons. My fence was suppose to be tied into their fence. Turns out they messed up. Now my fence line isn’t even across because they miscalculated. No conflict resolution. No offer to fix the mistake. No compensation for the mess up. I would of never agreed to have the fence project done if I knew it was going to be such a headache, I would have just kept my existing fence and went with another company. Disappointed with the company.

No only were they the most affordable but the professionalism was outstanding. Luther was my sales rep and he came out when he was supposed to and gave us a great price. The competition took 2 weeks to come out and give us a quote and wasn’t professional at all. I highly recommend.

Many thanks to Frederick Fence for a job well done. We checked with 3 or 4 different (well known and reviewed) local companies for estimates on a split rail fence to enclose our 1.6 acre yard. Neil F. was the one to come out to do our estimate. Price was competitive but what impressed us the most was his immediate interest to see the yard plot diagram and address any potential permitting issues. He was completely on top of that part. In fact, they (Frederick Fence) were the only ones who seemed interested in discussing it at all. The other popular company in our area told us that they would rather we dealt with the permitting issues, but they would do it if we really wanted them to... Really? Another one admitted that was an important aspect only after I brought it up at a later date. It turns out that there were some important issues (flood plain, WSSC lines, and HOA specific rules) and I am really glad Neil was there and did his due diligence to make sure it was all done properly. He took extra time to explain everything- highly professional and personable as well. The job was completed approximately when we were told it would be (maybe a bit earlier actually). The workmanship appears solid. The install crew were pleasant and the foreman Eddie was thoughtful and careful about the execution of the project. I highly recommend Frederick Fence based on this experience and would use them again.

Justin was on time to our appointment, he was friendly, thorough and very accommodating to our various needs and requests. I contacted Frederick Fence Co. prior to purchasing a new home and scheduled an estimate for a split rail fence installation for my dogs to be contained. The salesman, Paul, arrived on time, listened in depth to my ideas and explained the process thoroughly. Paul stated he would work on an estimate and send it to me. The next day, Paul sent the estimate which was very reasonable in price. Paul did not pressure me at all as some salesman tend to do. I emphasized my intentions of having a fence put in within a few days, but unfortunately they were 3 weeks out. I agreed to accept the contract offer and explained that we had to walk the dogs on leashes until the fence was done and that I was very concerned for my pregnant wife who is 34 weeks who would have to let the large, not trained dogs out on a leash while I was working. A few days after, I received a call from the office and they stated the had an opening they could start the next day. I was so relieved. As promised, the next morning I met the foreman named John who was fantastic. John was knowledgeable and kept me informed during the process. 2 days later and 2 weeks prior to their original completion estimate, the work was complete and it looks amazing. Most important was they responded to my actual situation rather than trying to plug & chug using what they have readily available. I wanted 8 fencing to keep out deer. Other companies said I would have to argue myself with the county permits office, which uses a standard height of 4 and requires set backs for anything taller. Frederick Fence has a full time permits person. Also, the county regs only bother with an appeals process for front yards. Therefore, we worked out a 7 fence for the sides and back that I consider adequate, especially since deer can jump high or wide, but not both. At no charge, Frederick Fence closed off an alley created by my setback. They were flexible enough to rededesign our layout when my wife decided she didnt like our 1st plan! My black aluminum front facing side fences & black chain link rear fences look attractive. durable & very professional, with extra tension wires for the chain link. They increase the curb appeal of the house. Other companies just proposed 6 fencing and left it to me to get a different permit, if I wanted something taller.

Purchased approximately 400LF of Black Vinyl chain link perimeter fencing and understood the lead time was approximately 10 weeks out due to supply chain issues however the job was done exceptionally well and great customer service from the sales manager to the installation crew. We are thrilled with our privacy fence! We requested an estimate over a year before we actually scheduled our install date, but Alan and Matthew were great to work with and, even though our permits got delayed because of COVID, they were very responsive throughout the process. Once we were ready to install it, we got scheduled right away and the men who installed our fence were very courteous, showed up early, answered all of our questions, and double checked details with us. Their work area was neat and tidy as well- they even used the extra dirt to backfill a few holes we had in our property. All-in-all we had a great experience. Thank you all!

Wishing I would of checked reviews to this company prior to using them. Company is quick to take your money but not to back their product. I got a privacy fence that is not so private. Huge gaps and I know wood shrinks but fence was 2 weeks old and already had huge gaps and its hot out so come winter Im sure it will look even worse!!! The gate door had a huge gap where lock is and could easily be accessed from other side bc gap was so big. Emailed company to fix issue they sent out someone and he did absolutely nothing bc he said he didnt bring any materials but claimed he fixed the problem with tools he had. Looked exactly the same and when I said that he said thats what door should look like and that he wasnt going to take door apart and rebuild it but if I wanted hed add a board near opening... came back another day added a random piece of wood that had no purpose and looked out of place. Door gap continued to get bigger so I called company again and got no call back. Called 2 more times and left messages and emailed company about issue. Finally got an email back stating problem was forwarded to a Laura . So I called and asked for Laura who said shed call me back with resolution. Never got a call. So I called her a couple days later and was told shed look into it and have Kelly call me back. Kelly called me and stated the same person who already wouldnt fix it on other 2 trips would be able to come out in a week and a half bc hevwas not in the office . I asked to be told when he was coming so I could talk about large gaps throughout fence and make sure door was properly fixed. Came home one day to a note on the ground stating sorry he didnt call but he was in the area and stopped but door was fixed. The other 2 times he came he called but this time chose not to...guessing so I wasnt able to be there. And both times after he came he called me when he was done. Again nothing this time. My door now has a gap on opposite side and large gaps throughout never got addressed!!! So as colder months approach and wood shrinks more they have no answers for me besides wait and see basically. They pretty much blow you off till you call a million times. As for the actual job. I was told job would be done in a day and a half max. It took 2 mths to get to my job and took 3 days to get done. First day they dug 2 holes and left. 2nd day they chit chatted with neighbor for 1hr and a half and got half the fence up. Next day rained so they didnt come. Next day they chit chatted another 1hr and 20 mins with neighbor and obviously threw up second half and gate door!! I have cameras in back yard and there was a lot of standing around talking, breaks or 1 out of the 2 men actually working. Which would explain why my little job took 3 days. Laura and Kelly were very nice and seemed like they would make sure job was done right but Steve the man sent is determined to do anything but to correct it correctly. Very poor service. And fence only gets worse by the week. Fences are not cheap and should last for years and thats not looking promising at this point. Very disappointing for a company I assumed bc they were well known would be great in all areas. Definitely wouldnt recommend Frederick fence.

Even with the approaching pandemic, the team came out and completed my installation in 2 days. It is beautiful. My 2 dogs love going out at will. They have never had a yard that they can run around in.

Price was good; salesman made promises that installers wouldnt keep. Scheduler terrible about communication. Salesman said 4 weeks. Contract said 4-6 weeks. Fool me once . . . If I had not REPEATEDLY forced the issue, it would not have been installed in 6 weeks. As it was, it was installed at 5 weeks, 6 days. Fence is good, but service is horrible. The scheduler should either be fired or put in jail. The 1 star rating is a gift because installers were nice and fence is good. Scheduler would get negative stars.

We chose FF largely because of the experience I had with Mike on our first meeting. He was personable, honest, informative and ridiculously patient as he trudged through the bushes surrounding our yard, tracking down our property markers. There was no pressure or attempts to badmouth other contractors, which was in itself a refreshing change. Adjustments to the original plan were made without complaint, and the crew showed up when promised, were pleasant and friendly, and worked non-stop to complete the project in one day. The fence looks great, feels sturdy, and makes our foresty yard look civilized and deliberate - an unexpected bonus. The dogs love their new “playpen “ and we love the level of ease the fence has allowed. Highly recommend this company.

Being new to this area, we didn’t know which fence company was good. A lot of our neighbors had fences by this company so I called the number and was very pleased with the person that retuned my call. He came out a few days later. I was impressed with how Mike worked with us and designed the fence to meet our needs. The quote he sent a few days later was lower than the other quotes I obtained. The installers were very friendly and thorough in their work. They also cleaned my yard when they finished. The fence is a great quality product which I would recommend for anyone who needs a fence and, in the process, wants to enhance the look and value of their home.

What a wonderful experience from beginning to end! Came highly recommended in my neighborhood to the point I didn’t even get a second quote!I can see why the recommendations were so high! They were polite, knowledgeable, prompt, patience with all my questions and the quality is amazing! I find myself just gazing at my fence!

Extremely great customer service. Our sales rep (Perry) was very responsive and timely. The work crew did a great job of explaining different perspectives of the process and working with me to make sure everything was as I wanted. They even worked w/ us in regards to changes (one misunderstanding and one request for additional work). Overall the process was great and we were very happy with the result. We would definitely hire them again and would definitely recommend them (in fact, we already have twice). Overall they seem like a great company.

I had priced out a number of options for a fence. After comparing quotes and then reading the reviews I went with Frederick Fence. Well Im very glad I did. We hit a bit of a snag in the project but they very quickly rectified the problem, falling in line with their other good reviews. They were really responsive. The installers were professional and polite. The final product is amazing! I would definitely recommend Frederick Fence.

Love my fence. Abel came out twice to survey my property and make sure my needs were met and helped me the whole time with HOA approval, permits, and getting the design squared away. Installation was a breeze with minimal impact to my yard/lawn. All around positive experience.

I had a great experience working with Frederick Fence Co. It took me a long time to get HOA approval for my fence, but they worked with me, revised my proposal, and provided as much information as they could. I appreciated their patience and assistance, and now my Great Dane enjoys running around our yard without a leash.

They are so easy to work with that I have had them back to do repairs from fallen trees and a replacement fence years later.

Started off strong. touted one year no hassle warranty. many boards put in incorrectly. gate did not work properly. called to schedule service. many appointments missed. Finally came to make repairs and made the situation worse. Owner doesnt seem to have a good handle on the work. Perhaps everyone is a subcontractor. Rude employees. I would use someone else!!!!

What can I say? I have never done business with a company that places a higher priority on customer service. While I always expect and demand high quality for my hard-earned money, my wife is in an entirely different league. In short she expects perfection. When our fence was first installed I submit there were a few issues. Because the fence bordered public land and neighbors lots it all had to be dug by hand (no post-digger). A tough job in July. They came back and fixed things but my wife was not happy with several details. I already paid in full. I almost expected them to part ways with us and say they met industry standards (which I think they did). Instead the owner became personally involved and kept sending people back until every post, every angle, and every ornament met my wifes uncompromising standards. I swear they re-built the fence post by post, length by length. I am nothing short of eternally grateful to Frederick Fence (In particular the owner Erin) for expending the resources to fully satisfy my wife and give us such a beautiful product. The least I could do is give them this review which I was not asked to do nor do. All they wanted was for my wife to be happy with the job which they achieved. I also want to give a shout out to our sales rep, Luther, who stopped by our house on several occasions and on his own time to inspect the work and to make sure we were being taking care of. I simply cannot believe anybody would not have any reason to give this company 5 stars given our incredible experience.

Efficient with sound advice. We had to deal with a challenging property line problem and uncompromising neighbor. Frederick Fence took the time to understand the matter, worked around it, and advised us on diplomatic solutions. They presented options in a no-nonsense manner that eliminated the potential for hand wringing and delay. The payment terms, especially the process for zero interest financing, could have been clearer. That should not deter anyone from working with this honest and easygoing installer.
