Pricing is outrageous! Their budget plan isnt much of a budget plan when they jack your monthly bill up by over $100 dollars every month, ending up at $485 a month, and then tell you at the end of the year you still owe over $1,500 dollars because you went over the budget. Go somewhere else if you dont want to be ripped off.

They have always filled up my tank quickly and inspected upon request. The problem is that Im paying $3.90 gallon when other firms are offering fee tanks, no contract and ongoing pricing at $2.65 gallon today. $1.25 more for the same gas is a problem when you have a 5,000 sq ft home.

PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!I am not someone who writes reviews, especially negative ones. However, I feel I need to do what I can to prevent someone from conducting business with such an awful company.If I could, I would give this company zero stars.They have the highest rates in the area, an excessive amount of hidden fees, and the absolute WORST customer service.We got hit with a large charge from them at the end of last year without our knowledge. We were never notified that we had an outstanding balance with them - no electronic/paper document or phone call AT ALL. One morning I wake up and realize it is extremely cold in our house - its the middle of winter and in my area it gets really cold. When I checked the thermostat, I stated it was 52 degrees in our house. I attempt to turn the heat on and noticed it would not turn on. I initially thought it was something with our thermostat until my husband noticed our water would not get warm either. Realizing our gas was turned off and having NO idea why, I contacted Thompson Gas. They stated we were delinquent on our account and we would need to pay a large amount of money to get another delivery. I asked why I was never notified about this, they stated they had been in contact with us several times. This was an outright lie. The last transcript they had on file was me calling and inquiring on why our monthly budget plan was so high. They did NOT inform us of this large balance existing - let alone being delinquent. I asked why we never received documentation explaining this and the manager blew me off. I asked several other times during the conversation why we never received written notification of this and the manager continued to deflect and not answer my question. When I explained to the manager we do not have the money to pay everything at once because this was so unexpected, I requested they raise our monthly budget plan to pay this off so we could get our heat turned back on. I explained I wouldnt be able to make our mortgage payment and pay the amount in full because it was so high. I was told by the manager if we wanted our gas turned back on we would need to pay the full amount and nothing else could be done.As if that were not bad enough, they have done it again. Only this time, the manager - who the customer service woman stated [on the phone] had the authority to wave the fees and be compassionate - not only didnt wave the fees, he refused to speak with me. He made the customer service rep. relay the information he should have been relaying.I have never witnessed a company show such little empathy and compassion. They do not see you as a person, they see you as someone who puts money in their pockets. While I understand you have a business to run, there is a way to do it and still give your customers great service. This isnt just poor customer service, not notifying us of the large amount due and it being delinquent is just unethical and poor business management.If AT ALL preventable, PLEASE do NOT bring your business to Thompson Gas!!!!!!

If I could I would give this place zero stars! They are absolutely a rip off! Customer service is terrible! They treat my husband who is a 100% disabled veteran like trash! I mean he only sacrificed so much being blown up for your freedom why would they care? I would run far far away from this place!

We are a new homeowner (well, weve been here for 1.3 yrs) and we ran out today to run an errand. We came home to find an invoice on our doorknob. We have never had a contract with them nor do we lease a tank. Yet, the invoice (in the previous owners name) says they refilled 2.789000 units of propane at a cost of $186.00 in our leased tank. The tank was full when we moved in and we have NEVER used it. Its only hooked up to 1 fireplace (which has NEVER worked). There is no way we needed propane. And, we have Ring and it shows someone getting out of their truck and walking to the door to put the invoice on the door in under 3 min. They have to pass the camera to get to the tank. Needless to say, there is no way they put propane in that tank. We called and the customer service person said that they would tell the manager. Tell the manager what exactly and do what? And, she never asked for our contact information to be able to resolve the situation. Her solution...she said, we will just come get the tank with no form of resolution or suggestion to what could have happened or what they would do about the invoice. Some customer service. I dont trust them and am not paying a $200 invoice that I knew nothing about nor did we request the service. Avoid them if you can.

If your a costumer here I hope your propane doesnt get to low because they dont do emergency fill ups like they say they do. Weve been calling them every day for over a week. And they always tell us they will call back and guess what they never do. Now its been 3 day without propane so I cant heat my house for my kids in the middle of winter or cook for them. Ive begged these people to come out and to be honest they just dont seem to care. They will also fine you for emergency fill up (which i was willing to pay) and for being empty.

When ThompsonGas came out to visit our house for supplying propane, we had 5 separate propane tanks and a confusing system of pipes into the house. ThompsonGas did put together a proposal to simplify the tank structure and piping into the house. Their solution and competitive propane prices has saved a lot on my pocket and insured a much safer propane system. I will recommend ThompsonGas to all.

ThompsonGas went well beyond their customer service duties as they personally handled my account as if I were a part of their family. They were kind, thorough, and knowledgeable and spent as much time as needed until my issues were resolved. A+++ service!

Horrible experience! Moved into this property 6 months ago and set up an account for the existing propane tank. Thompson Gas entered my property 5 months later without my knowledge or permission, AND left the backyard gate open for my dogs to run off!Reason given: they had no record of my account and removed the tank due to lack of payment on a bill that was sent to the previous owner.When contacted, their reply was Im sorry about that with NO interest in enrolling me as a new customer.I will look elsewhere for my propane...

We switched over to Thompsongas for our welding class supplies and we have been very pleased with the service. The reason for our switch was due to problems with a previous supplier, so we have been very pleased that Thompsongas has been so reliable and efficient.

They deserve zero stars but thats not allowed.This place has the absolute worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. They have the highest price for propane in the area then hit you with all kinds of service charges and hidden fees.They never said anything at all to me about being on an auto fill plan where they would come out and check the tank. I have never dealt with having to order gas before so had no idea and just assumed (my bad I guess) that they were keeping an eye on the level of gas. If it gets below 20% then they require you to have a leak check done. Well, I ran out of gas entirely, with out knowing I had. I called them and after sitting on hold for 10 minutes before anyone even picked up the phone, they wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount for the leak check, and then never gave me a time/date they were going to come out. They said they would call back and never did. I ended up calling around and finding a different company. (Shawleys) Every other company I called, on the initial phone call they all suggested being on the auto fill plan. Shawleys has no hidden fees, they were very friendly, straight forward, and I never was put on hold for more than a minute while being transferred to a different employee.I called up Thompson Gas and cancelled my service with them and told them to come pick up the tank. Instead, they came out and filled the tank and locked it because they had not preformed the leak check because no one was home when they came out, and left me a bill. They NEVER called me or told me they were coming or that they had been there, nor were they even supposed to come and fill the tank, just take it away. The poor installer from Shawleys had to move the full tank out of the way to install their tank. The ugly Thompson Gas tank is STILL sitting my yard over a month later. They told us they would be out to pick it up on Sept 27th. Never showed up, we finally contacted them and were told that the driver was sick and that we were now scheduled for pick up on Oct 18th. But of course AGAIN, no one told us this. No phone call, no email, NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL.This company is TERRIBLE. Avoid them at all costs.

On automatic delivery and pre-buy. Called twice in last week and we are sitting at 25% with another hard freeze coming and no delivery. Please check out another provider!!
