Had to call multiple times to order glass, a windshield and a passenger window, as both broke at the same time. We were told it was ordered only to call back and be told nothing was submitted, twice, so it would have to be reordered. This took a month to fix, so in the mean time a technician placed a crash wrap, incorrectly, on our vehicle passenger window. The technician didnt vacuum the shattered glass that was inside the vehicle, which he was suppose to do. This same technician replaced the windshield but broke anchors on a trim piece and just put it back on without saying anything. We only found out it was broken when we were finally able to wash the vehicle and it flew off and saw that half the anchors were broken. The manager we spoke to was great and had the issues taken care of right away once they became involved by installing the crash wrap correctly, vacuuming the glass, and replacing the screws so thats the only plus.

I made an appointment a week ago to have them change the windshield for my 2014 Scion TC. I got a confirmation call the day before to obviously confirm my morning appointment for the next day. The next day I drove to work early to make sure I was at the location during my scheduled time block and 30 minutes in to my time block I got a call from them saying they dont have this molding needed to replace the windshield. I didnt gripe about it, I was willing to reschedule for a week later but I told them I NEED it done by the next Wednesday, meaning I had to drive around with dead tags for another week cause an inspector wont even look at it with the size of the crack I had (dumb rock). The rep over the phone assured me they could get it done the next Wednesday and that was that. I even held my breath about them calling to cancel the day of my appointment AFTER already confirming the day prior. Like how did you not know you didnt have this part well before my scheduled appointment time rolled around?The next week comes and on Tuesday I call them to confirm my Wednesday morning appointment and that they had all of the necessary parts that needed to be ordered, and AGAIN the rep over the phone told me they havent received it yet. Now, Im well versed in customer service and I understand that they cant control shipping times and when the parts will arrive. BUT THEY CAN keep their clients updated. I mean I paid them almost $500 THE WEEK PRIOR to change my windshield and no one was gonna call me to let me know the part they ordered still hadnt been received, after I had already had my appointment rescheduled for the same issue? Like come on thats a little ridiculous. I ended up calling them back the same day about an hour later to outright cancel, cause the rep I spoke to before couldnt even tell me when the part was supposed to arrive. I called another shop in Fredericksburg called Auto Glass Now and they scheduled me for next day in house installation at a far lesser price. Will be going there for windshield repairs and recommending their business instead of Safelite from now on. Keep your clients promptly updated and stay on top of part orders...its that simple.

DO NOT take your car here for repairs. They purposely do a horrible job repairing your cracks so that they can up sell you on a windshield replacement. My crack literally looked as if no one even tried to repair it. And it was a small crack; no bigger than half of a dollar. Actually slightly shorter than half of a dollar bill. I’ve have bigger cracks repaired before at a different location in SC. This is ridiculous. Customer in front of me had the same issue with this location.

Appointment was made in advance, at the Fredericksburg VA, Safelite, however on the day of appointment, I dropped off the vehicle early, only to get a call from safelite representative about 45 minutes after I dropped the vehicle off, stating that they don’t have a windshield for my vehicle and that it was put on backorder and may take about four months to get in. Representative, Terry was very nice and tried to explain why it would take so long, and that they would be working to get the windshield in as soon as possible. I have read very good reviews on Safelite, just hope to soon make an updated review to this one, with a better experience.

Needed to get a repair after a rock hit my windshield and I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours which is amazing. I showed up early and they were able to get to work immediately, took less than 30 minutes. They went above and beyond by cleaning my windows and took care of removing glue residue from a sticker that was bugging me. Easiest repair experience I’ve had.

I had to get a full windshield replacement on my vehicle. The whole process was simple, and pleasant. I had scheduled my appointment online already and they were ready to work on my car right away. It took about 1.5 hours like they said. Afterwards, they let me know not to touch the top for a while (I had the green tinting done) and I was on my way. The windshield looked great and they were careful to transfer my stickers (registration and maintenance) over to the new one. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and Id definitely come back for any further work needed!

Didnt do the job that was requested. They argued that a crack in my windshield, that we had not had fixed yet, was previously repaired by someone else. We, as owners, have never taken it to be fixed. So we know it has not been touched. Waste of time and extremely disappointed. Ended up going to a more reputable company to get our needs done for less and much better service.

I had a SUPERB experience at Safelite in Fredericksburg. After having a difficult months-long process with my insurance, it was SO refreshing to have an appointment made and to get my car in within 24 hours. Even better was the quick, throughout and professional work done. Communication was provided throughout my car windshield’s time being serviced via text and email, and I was notified by phone when it was ready for pick up. AND- best part, the job was completed in just under 2 hours! I highly recommend this shop for any and all auto glass needs.

Lost my business forever. Ive used safelite many times in the past but I wont again. I just cleaned a half inch of ice off of my car for the guy to come out and refuse service because I didnt order the rain sensor windshield. I dont need the rain sensor and I know it doesnt matter unless I want the feature to work. My dad used to replace windshields. Oh and $389 is on the high side. I scheduled this a week ago, there was plenty of time to refuse me before I spent an hour cleaning my car.

When I went to Safelite today at 8am I had to wait unusually long for my car to be done. However, one of the gentleman there explained that today is not your usual days. Has being in a similar business years ago I understood what he meant. That gentleman constantly gave me updates with my car and I could tell was completely being honest. With my luck my Subaru eye sight sensor was not working properly with the windshield that was just installed. So it was going to take another 1-1.5 hours at a minimum or that I could come back another day has a option. I decided to wait and the sensor started working again.The reason why I am writing this review is yes things didnt work on my favor because I planned on being there for 1.5 hours not 6 hours. What happened to me waiting so long was not their fault at all. But the level of professionalism and honesty I got was top notch and highly recommended this place.

Got my windshield replaced and my wipers were off and needed realignment. I saw a safelight van at the wawa on rt17 and just asked the guy to fix it and he took time from his busy morning to help me and they are perfect now.. Had my windshield replaced about a week ago now. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. They were very thorough with my car before and after the installation. They explained some small concerns they had with the replacement before they even replaced the windshield. They kept me in the loop the entire time and after the installation the tech walked me to my car and did a thorough inspection with me and made sure I didnt have any questions.

During the pandemic, they were very professional and definitely know their trade. I had to wait for a windshield replacement and it took less than an hour to get the job done. The process was contactless except for giving them the credit card which was near contactless. They now have a happy customer. Thank you.05/24/2021 - I was back a 2nd time to also replace my windshield for a Tesla. I didnt even know that they did Teslas. They did a phenomenal job and they have a customer for life. Thank you for much for the patience in getting the parts and really making everything happen smoothly. The wifi was helpful to get work going.

I made an appointment through my insurance company to replace my windshield at 10am. I showed up on time and was told it typically takes 1 hour but can take up to 2 hours, which was fine. I decided to wait. I was first off disturbed by the condition of the facility. The carpets needed to be vacuumed and the floors desperately needed to be swept/mopped. All the walls looked like something had been dripped all over them. It could have been water from the ceiling or in the case of the trashcan by the door, other mysterious liquids. The trashcan was filled to the brim at 10am which tells me that it was likely not taken out from the day before. It was obvious that a recent leak in the ceiling was repaired because the trashcan in the bathroom was filled with ceiling parts/insulation. I watched multiple people, some with an appointment, some without, come and go before me. I ended up waiting almost 3 hours for the my windshield to be replaced without receiving any update to the progress. The only explanation I got when my vehicle was finally ready was that they had issues with the warranty on another vehicle, which doesnt make any sense to me as to why it would have delayed the progress on my vehicle. When my vehicle was returned with the new windshield they transferred my oil change tag from the old window to the new window but not my state inspection sticker. Even though I am in the process of transferring my registration to VA, they did not even ask if I wanted the sticker transferred! I even had matching plates! That should never be assumed! Dont want to go here again.*UPDATE* 9/9/19I just lowered my review because I discovered that they also failed to transfer my RCID decal that allows me to get into my gated community. I talked to customer service and they were absolutely no help! The person was too new to do anything. This decal is expensive to replace. Im over this place.

I booked appointment a week in advance and upon arrival the mirror never arrived at the store. The manager said he would track part down and call me back but never did. I called the store a week later and the manager said somehow the order was deleated and he would track the part down then call me back with update. It will be another whole week on Monday 9/21/2020 (still no call)

Scheduled a appointment for a rear window for my car. First scheduled day, stayed home from work, even though I received an email the night before saying someone would come, no one showed up or called. I call them, they said Im not sure why youre scheduled, your glass isnt coming until next week. Schedule another appointment. Stay home from work. Get a call in the middle of the day. Your moulding is damaged. We may be able to get one by later today. Nope. They say early next week. Today is Wednesday. No phone call. I call them. They now say it will take 8 days from when they ordered the moulding to get it in. I am trying to find someone else to do it. If I cant it will be about 3.5 weeks from when I placed the order. Thats if they show up.

I went to Safelite a few months ago to repair a 1/2 inch crack in my windshield. It grew to about an inch after they fixed it, they said if it cracked during the repair process it was going to happen anyway. Ok. Fine.Last week that crack grew to over a foot within 3 hours so I took it in the next day and they said they would have to order a new windshield and I made an appointment for Monday 6/20.Monday I drop the car off at 3pm and they say it will take roughly an hour to an hour and a half. At 4:30pm I get a call saying that yes, they did replace my cracked windshield--with another cracked windshield. They said the crack was there before they installed it and grew after they put it in. I guess its not protocol for a windshield repair/replace establishment to inspect windshields before they put it in your car.They said I can either pick up the car or leave it until the next morning when a new windshield arrives. Driving around with a cracked windshield did not seem like a suitable option to me so I asked to speak to Dan, the manager, and asked him what sort of accommodations they would offer as I would not have any transportation.Well we dont have any cars for you [to drive]. ...Ok? I then asked if there was going to be a price adjustment for the inconvenience and his exact words were Okay yeah Ill take care of the price.I picked it up today and taking care of the price translates to $25 off. They also claim on the receipt that they vacuumed my car but Id like to know what specific square inch they vacuumed because there are bits of windshield all over the place. Thanks Safelite.

Making the appointment online was easy. No issue with initial contact and the tech even left a voicemail when he was done (I was not with my car during the new install). My issue started when I got back to my car and noticed my ezpass on the dash (not an issue) and my inspection sticker nowhere to be found. Tried to call the same number the tech had called from but no answer and voicemail wasn’t set up. Called the “hotline” number. The customer service agent advised my tech had left for the day but the service manager would call me in the morning after he personally speaks with the tech. I reminded the agent that I am now driving around with no inspection sticker so I am at risk of getting a ticket. Then I received a call from the manager right after I hung up with the “hotline” agent. The service manager said the tech had ripped my sticker beyond it being usable but agreed he should’ve advised what had happened or at minimum left the pieces on my dash so I knew what happened. Again, I let the manager know that for the next week few days I am driving around without an inspection sticker. The manager offered to pay for the new inspection and I agreed that was fair. I took his name and direct number. Well, today I went to MIDAS to get my vehicle inspected and gave them Terry’s name and number and told them the situation. That was at 830am. At 5pm I picked up my vehicle and they advised they never got ahold of the Safelite manager Terry. So thank you Terry for being dishonest and not holding up to your word. I will take my business elsewhere from now on!

Really irritated with this company. I chose them over much cheaper choices because they are a nationally known brand and I thought they would provide better service. The tech was on time and very friendly. However, they charged my card the day prior to service when I booked it. Then I received a call from them like 5 mins later and had to give my card info AGAIN! Then after the tech finished I had to pay again. He called someone who swore my card couldnt have been charged even though I can see it on my bank account and I showed the tech. Now I have paid at least twice (maybe 3 times) for my windshield and cant get a hold of anyone at corporate because I have been on hold for about 40 mins. Of course two charges for a 290 window means that my bills that typically auto-withdrawl tomorrow will be result in overdraft charges and I wont be able to use my account for a while. Awful company! Take your business elsewhere!

They replaced my windshield, and scratched my rain sensor, they also came out three time to try and fix it but they failed every time. These people just dont care theyre all about getting insurance money and moving on to the next one. I will never use them again. Oh and to fix the rain sensor I watched a 4 min youtube video and figured it out on the first try, its not rocket science was the pad, drip water on pad and stick it on the windshiel. Satellite if youd like I could come teach a class to your techs, jesus.
