Pam and Sarah at Safford VW (service) are always a pleasure to work with!!My 2019 Tiguan had the airbag light come on, so I took it in to be checked out. Even though it took almost two weeks to diagnose and complete the repairs, it was covered by my warranty. So no out of pocket cost and only a small inconvenience being without my vehicle. Very satisfied with the level of customer service we receive anytime we come here.

Nick was my sales consultant and he was fantastic! I had searched at other VW dealerships, but this was by far the most professional. I was traveling from Alexandria down to Fredericksburg and Nick had the car waiting for me out front with my name on the dash board! We didn’t have to go hunting through the lot. The process was seamless and didn’t take forever. I’d recommend this dealership (and Nick, Z, and Vanessa) to anyone! Thanks y’all!

Safford was friendly and as efficient as the number of waiting customers would allow. The service department was prompt, informative, and helpful. And their texting method was great instead of the usual phone call.The sales department was not pushy and once we got to the leasing agent, very clear and fast moving.There was some question the next day when trying to transfer our Sirius XMaccount, who should have installed the car.net info…VW says dealer, dealer claimed not to know…but my husband worked through it and got it straightened out. But it was a hassle.Otherwise, happy with Safford so far!

My wife scheduled appointment for free oil change after purchasing new vehicle. They were asked to check a specific tire for potential leak and also were being paid extra to rotate the tires. Technician stated that all tires were holding proper air and no leaks. My wife was ready to leave and tire was flat. Technician took car in again and then stated a nail was in sidewall and not repairable. Staff tried to sell an overpriced non matching tire while vehicle was there. She declined, went (on spare) to reputable, experienced tire shop and a screw was actually in repairable location. We will never use this shop due to the poor skills of technical staff and inaccurate statements of reporting and attempted upselling.

Came into Safford VW to look for a car for my mother yesterday. We were immediately greeted by the friendly showroom team and passed off to our sales person, Rachel W. Throughout the entire process the team at VW was extremely communicative with my mother to mmake sure she got what she was looking for and was happy with the selection. She settled on a car she like and Rachel went with her on a test drive and was very knowledgeable about the car and the features to be able to explain it. The finance team was very helpful in showing the numbers for the different purchase options, as my mother was not sure whther she would lease or purchase. My mother cannot stop raving about her new car and she loves it. If it were not for the team and Ms. Rachel W over at Safford VW she would not have found a car that she absolutely loves.Thanks to the entire team at Safford VW!!

I really had a bad experience with this shop. I took my vehicle there for repairs and it took them 2 weeks to get it done. I had to contact them in order to keep me updated otherwise they would have not called me or inform me. Finally got the car done after 12 days, once I paid the car had a check engine light and when I told them about it, the manager said “sometimes that happens”. I asked did anyone checked? I had email and let them know to check for any additional issues. The technician came in and told me “it was never any check engine light” that’s a lie!The car had a check engine light prior to been dropped off. When I asked again “you sure about that?” He replies “ there was no light”This place is dishonest, they never checked for it and made it sound that is something new that came up. I do not recommend this place. The manager said to bring it back for diagnostic. I asked him “is there extra charge?” He said yes “for the diagnostic” why are you charging me for something I asked to be checked when it was first dropped off.? Dishonesty

Just went in for a 20,000 mile service, and all was good. I dropped the car off and picked up later in the day, so can’t review speed if you are in a rush, but service was completed, they didn’t try to sell me any extras, and the people I spoke with were all very pleasant. I will likely return for future service even though it’s a little farther than some other dealers.

I came to VW not knowing if I would be able to get a new car. Rachel was such a big help. She help me out so much and was really worked with us. Dave was amazing with helping out as well as being friendly to my kids and even bought us pizza for us and a few other customers that were in there. They explained everything extremely well and got me into a car that I needed and wanted. They didn’t just put me in a car I didn’t want. They tried everything to get me into the one I wanted. The staff at Safford Volkswagen we’re absolutely fantastic. After months and months of trying to purchase a vehicle and not having any luck The sales manager here reached out to me and worked really hard to get me financed and into a car that I’d like driving instead of just putting me in something for the sake of selling a car. The payment is great and actually ended up being less than I expected. Morgan was my sales person and she was very friendly and personable, she even followed up a few days later to make sure I was enjoying my car and happy with everything. She was amazing, patient, considerate and professional for the more than six hours I was at the dealership. The employees at this dealership were very nice to work with, but they dropped the ball on a couple of issues. After we agreed on a price for the vehicle, I asked if the car could be detailed before we picked it up, seeing as the seats had a bunch of different stains on them, and there was also garbage from the last owners in between the seats. From my understanding, a detail would include a full deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle, shampoo of the seats and a wipe down of all the smooth surfaces with some kind of a cleaner. (Which I am going to assume they have access to because, well, they are a car dealership). We also asked for a full tank of gas to be included when we picked the vehicle up, which they agreed if we left a good google review. When we came to pick it up, the seats were in the same condition with the stains on them, and they said they couldnt get the stains out. I dont think they actually even tried. It seemed like all they did was run a vacuum over the seats really quick and that was it. We also still found garbage and food crammed in between the seats on the way home. They never filled up the gas tank for us either. By the time we were going to leave, I was so done with driving back and forth an hour each way, I didnt make a big deal of it. If this was a brand new vehicle purchase Im wondering if they wouldve treated us differently. Not sure if I would buy a vehicle from anything with the Safford name again.(The photo I attached was after I took a damp rag and scrubbed the back seat for about 10 seconds.) The stains could come out, there just wasnt any effort made.)

The sales portion of getting my car was great, the sales person I worked with was wonderful. However, I was scheduled to have my car get the protective coating on my exterior & interior & was told I would have a loaner. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment & was told nothing about a loaner NOT being available. 15 minutes later I was told that there arent any loaners & enterprise would pick me up & then Id have to wait an hour for a rental. I work, had I not carried my laptop with me, I would have been screwed because 2 hours out of my day that was unplanned & not explained prior to dropping my car is unprofessional. I was told I could drop my car, get my loaner & leave, not sit around for 2 hours waiting for a car. Had I been called & told that there were not any loaners available, I would have rescheduled OR had someone follow me to the dealership.

We were sold a van with faulty lifters on both banks. There was a ticking noise, as noted when we first saw the van. We were told it sounded like a normal engine. Upon bringing it home, we realized the noise was still there and not normal. We had to bring it back in to be serviced. We received no call or apology for being sold a van with issues. There was no ownership to this situation.While our van was there to be serviced, I had to call several times to get an update. No one called us. I didn’t even receive a call when it was ready to be picked up. Upon picking it up, I had to read the paperwork to even know what was fixed- they couldn’t tell me.To top it all off, we initially drove it off the lot with an almost-empty tank of gas.The only reason this is a two star review rather than a one star review, is everyone was very friendly and nice. Our sales person and loan processor were very kind, as well as those I spoke with on the phone in the service department.

I want to give a big THANK YOU to Safford Volkswagen and their Manager Zia. My father and I were there last week looking to buy a 2021 VW Atlas Cross Sport and fell in love with it. The sales team did everything they possibly could to help us get her at a price we were comfortable at. I even made a trip to the VW in Midlo to see if I could get a better price and ended up going back to Safford VW because it not only was a better deal but the employees were just so kind and trying to help us in any way they could that it just changed the whole buying process for us. P0299 Boost pressure issueAs with most dealerships, they try to scare you with the diagnosis by showing you an inflated estimate. They give 2 scenarios. Best case and worse case. Also, all they do for the $200 (inc tax) diagnosis is plug it in to a PC and give the vehicle a visual inspection .You can use Advanced Auto PC reader for free.In my case they said that it needed a Boost pressure control valve, which i agree is the most common proublem for that code. But they wanted $360 for the part alone when i ordered it for $120 through VW parts.I guarantee they did not do a smoke test to check for leeks. This code could simply be a cracked air hose.They also quoted $3500 for a new turbocharger as the worse case scenario. Complete BS and used as a scare tatic.They quoted the control valve replacement at 2hr labor. When really it takes less than an hour with a lift.The only reason i made them replace it is because i dont have my Jack stands on hand right now (just moved here from out of state) and because they owe me 1hr labor.Some Dealerships charge $80 diagnosis. These people charge $165 plus tax but give 1hr labor towards repair.Dealerships make money on parts. They also scare you with a super inflated repair estimate so that you trade it in with them.Be smart. Run your codes for free at a parts store. Do some google searches for the diagnosis. Watch some YouTube videos and do the repairs yourself. Never EVER pay $220 for a cabin filter replacement (what i overheard the customer in front of me being charged) when its $30bucks at a parts store, requires no tools and takes 5min.Also buy your parts yourself (OEM). They will scare you with warranty BS but the store warranties them.

Service is a bait and switch. If this dealership tells you, there is no charge for looking over the car and then they wanted $900 dollars after saying it wasn’t worth repairing. They insisted another dealer that took a VW Bug as a trade-in pay the $900.00!Even the other dealership said that was just wrong.I would never recommend anyone using this VW Dealership.

Went in for a check engine light on my 2019 jetta, Pamela was my advisor, set up a shuttle to take me into work 2 miles down the road and updated as my vehicle was inspected and repaired. Put a deposit on a vehicle on Tuesday evening. Would not be back to complete purchase of vehicle and pick it up until Friday. During that time vehicle was supposed to be detailed and fuel topped off. When vehicle was picked up nothing had been done to the vehicle. Very disappointed.

I am VERY PLEASE with VW Safford. I needed a bigger car because of our extending family. I don’t have the best credit as i recently discharged chapter 7 and they were able to get my into a new 2021 VW Tiguan. What I’m not happy with is they had creditors run my credit 12... yes TWELVE times. If I would have known that I wouldn’t have even tried as now I have to wait a few years to buy a house because too many hard inquiries. I am happy with my purchase.. but not happy with the honesty and aftermath of my credit now somewhat being destroyed and having to pick up the pieces.

I took my 2009 Eos into the Stafford Volkswagen on Sunday May 17th. My convertible roof was not working correctly. Chris in sales was most helpful in allowing me to secure my vehicle inside the service bay, since service was not open on Sundays.On Monday morning I received a text from Pamela stating they had processed car in and would be in touch.After that point the COMMUNICATION was TERRIBLE, it took two weeks to repair and cost almost $1500, Mostly labor.Being with out a vehicle meant I had to rely on other means including rental. I contacted Mark the service manager and he assured me that he would speak with both the technician and Pamela in the morning and personally call me with a status. That was on Wednesday May 26th. At 11:30 the next morning I called Mark back only to find out that his machine would not accept messages. I never did receive the status or call back. I had to leave town for the weekend and made other arrangements.Two days later I received a text back from Pamela stating my car was ready.Terrible communication skills, I will NEVER use this dealership again.

Came in for a vibration/humming sound from the hvac system on my 2017 gli. It was takin in. In a timely manner and diagnosed quickly as a bad blower motor. Staff in the service department was friendly and same as the parts department were friendly as well. As i ordered sum parts from them as well during my visit. Only suggestion to the dealer is hanging signage for restrooms as well as parts counter and service area. That way it is a lot faster to quickly find what you need.

I went to Safford VW knowing exactly the car that I wanted and that they had in their inventory. Chris Henson and Nick Dykehouse were fantastic! Very open and transparent about the price. I left that day not purchasing the vehicle because I thought that the price was too high for my price range. A few days later they reached out to me again to tell me that they were willing to work with me and come to a deal. Although hesitant, I decided to meet with them anyway to hear them out, thinking that like most car sales personel, they wanted to negotiate. No. I was wrong. They asked me what I thought was fair and they agreed with exactly that price. In fact, they went $500 lower. They even threw in an added car feature (remote start, which I wasnt expecting). I was shocked. They then proceeded to shatter my expectations once more and show me how a real dealership takes care of paperwork. They didnt attempt to sell me all those extra service packages and protection plans (though they did read through all of the necessary disclosures/disclaimers), but were honest and open about whether or not they were helpful for my situation. The entire process from start to finish was 45 minutes after I showed up! The detail cleaning of the car took longer than the paperwork. I have never experienced such a fast, no hassle process buying a car in my life. Safford VW now has a new, loyal customer and I will be telling everyone to check them out if they need a new car. Also they are pro military/law enforcement and will hook you up with discounts/rebates accordingly. Give them a shot, I promise they will exceed your expectations.-Justin S.

I could not be more disheartened and dissatisfied with how Safford VW conducts their business. My experience was the epitome of (the often stereotypical, but in this case perfectly accurate) dishonest sales practices that many hear stories about. I recommend avoiding this dealership at all costs. I worked with both Nick, the salesman, and Haseeb Zia, the sales manager, over phone, email, and text to work out a deal on a new car from their lot. We eventually came to an agreement and had a deal. I made the appointment to come by to simply sign the paperwork and drive away with my new car. In the hours between striking the deal and my appointment to pick it up, they sold the car right from underneath me to someone else. It is about as sleazy as you can get. Car buying is stressful enough; dishonest people like those employed at Safford VW make the experience unbearable.

Just bought a brand new 2020 Jetta S 1.4T. This is car FREAKING awesome. I dealt with Z, the sales manger, and he worked with me on what I set my budget at. DO NOT take your car here for service! They price gouge!! Tried to charge us $3000 to repair our air-conditioning, AFTER charging us $1200 to check to see what the problem was. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. Save yourself the headache DO NOT take your car here for service. Oh... and Sara the lady in the Service dept. is rude as hell and hung up on me because she was tired of hearing me complain. AND... Mark the service manager is conveniently unavailable, and his voice-mail box is full and isnt taking messages. Hows that for customer service? AND VW HQ has a 1 hour wait time to speak to someone on the phone. #PissPoorService I give them ZERO STARS for my experience, but they would not even allow me to post this comment unless I gave them at least one star. SMH🤔

I returned to VW for my first routine oil change and tire rotation since they cover the first two oil changes when you buy a new car. In addition they said the car needed the tires aligned which would take an additional 30 minutes. I was very unsatisfied with the wait time of 3 hours for this service. When I asked for an update after 2 hours someone went to check, but never came back to give me the update.

Good luck getting a response as to where your GAP refund is. I sent the pay off letter to Kelley on December 21 and have called several times over the last 2 weeks and either got put on hold forever or sent to a generic voicemail box. I have also emailed a Blake or Ashleigh who are supposed to be in charge of this and no response.

Will never do business with them again. Saw a vehicle listed online for just over $36,000. Went in to trade my Volkswagen Tiguan for it. Knowing I was coming from a VW thought they would give me a good price. When I asked about the car the guy said sorry that’s not the price it’s $47,000. I showed him the online ad and he said sorry. Here we are several days later and they are still falsely advertising it at $36,000. Are they doing this to get you in the door? IDK but I know I won’t be back.

I was incredibly disappointed with my experience working with a saleswoman and manager at this dealership. They were so dishonest and disorganized that I ended up walking away and purchasing a Tiguan at another dealership in Maryland. I started the process over the phone as I wanted to do as little as possible in person. I reached out with the preferred trim and what price point I was looking for. They said they didn’t have that car at the dealership but could transfer a car from another one. After reviewing the sticker and photos, and negotiating a price, I said I wanted to move forward with the transfer and purchase. In order to do so they needed me to complete the credit application which I did and submitted. I confirmed all and booked a time to come in to finish the process. They called me the next day and told me the car they had reserved had actually sold but they could offer me another trim model at a much higher price. At this point I called the dealership they were transferring the car from. The dealer said they didn’t know about a transfer, or the car being sold - in fact, it was still in stock. So I bought it from the other dealer. The team at Stafford is rude, they lie, and they swindle. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. I would honestly pay more at another dealer rather than deal with how disrespectful and deceitful this team is.
