I woke up with my eye hurting. Called them when they opened. Not only did they squeeze me in, but what a great visit. My eye was scratched, they did something with a lens to cover it from being irritated and I was out the door in under 15 minutes and under 200 out of pocket. When your eye hurts all you want is for it to feel better and that’s what they did. Overall I give this team a 10 out of 10. Thank you to all
Twice I have purchased eyeglasses from them that were very expensive. Both times I went in to have them repaired and the product they sold me was discontinued. This last time cost me $500 and I got a pair of glasses that lasted me one year and they would do nothing for me. I highly recommend going somewhere else
I have been one of their clients for over 10 years. My adult daughter was here on vacation for two weeks and she broke her glasses purchased elsewhere. We walked in without appointment and Jessica promptly saw her and found her a new pair of glasses that would take her old lenses. She put them in and wishing 30 minutes she was back in business. My daughter is practically blind without them. This level of service and patient care is outstanding and their whole team has never been less than awesome. Thanks Sight Studio.
I went here a year ago. I was told that if I came within the year they would replace my glasses completely 100% Under the warranty. Their warranty. I came in within that year and was denied a new pair of glasses but told I ONLY get new lenses. The lady that fitted me at the time did not tell me this at all. She said “if you have scratches or ANYTHING you’ll get a brand new pair and than you could like keep your old ones as a back up pair”. Which was why I was so excited because my insurance was meant to expire before the end of the year and having 2 pairs would have been one thing that I didn’t have to worry about as a single mom. So they lied to me, than refused to even honor a lie their employee made. Worst company ever.
The Doctors are AMAZING! I have been going to these doctors since I was 16 and now Im in my 30s! The lady at the central park location who does the glasses is rude and disrespectful! We have vision insurance, however they have recently stopped taking it! Since I have been going since I was young I wanted to stay because of the doctors and am paying straight out of pocket! This lady did everything she could to charge as much as possible! I take my children here as well and have always paid up front for everything! My childrens bill was not even as much all together as what this lady was charging for my husband! I am not looking for a handout, but at least have some curtsey and look into my account! Then she had the audacity to say you feel you will get a better deal, then go to the downtown location! How completely unprofessional and rude!
I was very favorably impressed with the kindness, professionalism and generosity of Dr. Adam Madison and his staff. I had had so much trouble with other local eye doctors in obtaining glasses, but Dr. Madison and staff made the experience enjoyable. I am glad that we have an optometrist here in Fredericksburg that maintains graciousness in spite of busy schedules.
The first time I went was alright. The customer service was pretty good and I was a walk in that was seen fairly quickly. For my second, I went in with an appointment only to sit for 45 minutes. I had work and made the staff aware. They told me hey could fit me in and I’d be there. When they called me back, I asked if I’d leave in time and was told I wouldn’t. I watched other patients who arrived after me go back first and was extremely frustrated. Definitely switching doctors. Be aware that the doctor leaves at 5 even though they are open until 6 though that’s not on their store window.
Ordered glasses Jan 16, 2019. They were supposed to be ready Jan 25, 2019. I called the office 3 times Jan 29, 2019 trying to find out where my glasses were. I was finally told they would be in Thurs Jan 31, 2019. I called the 31st, still couldnt get a straight answer so I drove to the office (30 miles one way), only to find out that my order had not been placed and the frames I purchased had been lost. I was told that the lenses were now ordered and would be overnighted. In the meantime, they made me a pair of near vision glasses to go with my distance vision glasses, however, I need the progressive lens to see properly, such as the dashboard of my car. The person waiting on me said she would be in touch with me today, Feb 1st. It is now 4:18pm, no one has called me, I have called them 3 times for answers! Finally! Have been told that the company that makes the lens just got my order and I will not have my glasses until next Tuesday or Wednesday. Completely unacceptable.
I had a great experience with the optometrist and his staff. However I should have paid more attention to the fine print. I have never had glasses before and after more than two weeks of waiting for my glasses (that seems like an excessive amount of time) I get them and leave, the store is super crowded, so I take them home and can finally see how they look, I hate them, I called to see if I could exchange them and was told they have a no return/exchane policy. So now I have pair of glasses that cost over two hundred dollars that I do not want to wear. I will make sure to find a place that does exchanges next time.
Ive been seeing Dr. Adam Maison for years. He is a real professional and also so friendly and helpful. A very down to earth man who takes the time to really know his patients. Last time they got me in on a cancellation for a Saturday morning which I very much appreciated. All the staff I had dealings with were so friendly too.
The eye doctor is great, however the store and customer service not so much. The frame selection is small and prices are high. Furthermore I decided to get lenses for my existing frames and contact lenses, and the associate told me my insurance benefits would not apply and charged me full price. Called my insurance and they told me I should have gotten a discount on my glasses lenses AND would have been covered by $130 on my contacts. Robbed meEDIT: I was reached out to by an associate from the store. She apologized for the inconvenience and told me the gentleman who helped me is no longer with the store. She did confirm I was incorrectly billed, and sent a reimbursement check. She also sent me a few trial packets of my contact lenses for my troubles. I appreaciate the effort to reach back out, not many stores even bother. I would consider continuing my business here.
My experience with the doctors fine. The front desk women well they suck! Took my prescription said they would call it in, an hour later nothing!!! What am I to do ride around all flipping day and wait on them? I dont think so!!! If I have to go back there and get it I will and it wont be pretty!!! Matter of fact here I come!!! Im not waiting!!!! I live to far to waste time on you!!!
Be careful if you go here. Just because they take/participate with your insurance does not mean they will file appropriately. I recently found out they did not file for my sons glasses because they make more money by supposedly giving you a discount. What should have cost me $68 cost me almost $180. They tried to say it was my insurance, but upon speaking with my insurance I learned they were lying. My insurance company even called them, but they wouldnt speak with them. It took me awhile to learn this as they would not give me a detailed invoice upon ordering and paying for the glasses, told me would get it when picking up glasses. However, that did not happen either. I had to ask and wait for my invoice. Do yourself a favor and money and go somewhere else.
I went to their office in Downtown Fredericksburg on Caroline Street. Loved it!!!!!!!! Much closer to my work, staff is great, Dr. Madison explained everything to me in terms I could understand. The staff helped me pick out glasses that would compliment me. Great place to have your eyes checked. Will return next year.
These guys and gals are the best. The prescription is a step above anything Ive had before. We dropped synch on me relating that I needed transitions but they made good on that as well. Everyone I came in contact were no less than very professional and genuinely interested in making sure I was satisfied with my glasses, and, I am.
Everyone was friendly and professional. All of our questions were answered and the staff made the kids feel at ease. . . Kid friendly for sure! We will be back. Definitely the best! Thank you.

I am always impressed with the level of service I receive at the Eye Care DOctors. The staff is efficient and I am always seen on time or earlier than Ive scheduled my appointment. The doctors show a genuine concern and take up a sufficient amount of time with me to explain my situation. I also love the frame selection they have.
Everyone at both office locations were very friendly and helped me pick the right glasses I needed and liked. The new office downtown has a very big selection and its very nice. Will definitely keep coming here for my whole family
I stopped by to set an appointment and they saw me that day. The exam is more thorough than at my previous optometrist. The staff was courteous and always smiling. They took the time to chat and share while going about their business. I never feel rushed with Dr. Adam. He explained the changes and options for my eye wear. Bill, the fitting tech, was engaging and seemed to know exactly what to do. All of my options were presented with no sales push to try to sell any particular product.
Dr. Adam and Mitra are both very helpful and friendly. We have been more than satisfied with the service, the doctor treats me like a person, sharing laughs and stories, puts me at ease. We have been going here for 5 years and will continue for many more years. Hey, I actually called the doctor with what I thought was a silly question, he came right to the phone and assured me the call was the right thing to do. He relieved my concerns with a simple word, many thanks for caring.
I felt that I had a very thorough exam and the doctor answered all of my questions. Bill helped me select my frames and did an excellent job. I highly recommend Eye Care Doctors and will definitely be returning and recommending them.

Absolutely terrible experience with Brandy from Central Park. She tried to make me get a contact exam that I made clear that I did not want I only wanted an eye exam for glasses. Then about eight people came in I had of us and it is my believe that she purposely made us sit in the office for 45 minutes while other patients were seen. I confronted them with zero explanation as to why all the other patients were seen before us. Last year this company filed claims with my insurance company for benefits that I never used. I had to spend 3 to 4 hours on the phone tried to correct this issue. Approximately two years before that it took six months to get contacts they kept giving my order to everybody else. But guess what myself my wife and my daughter are all finding a new eye doctor today. I even called and asked to speak to somebody about the issue before I gave this review and still nobody would speak to me. Riley says an eye doctor with multiple locations has no office manager definitely would not go to that hole in the wall.
Horrible. Didn’t have a clue on how to check my eyes. The contact prescription they gave me i could not see properly out of. Went back and told them and the doctor said I didn’t wear them long enough. How could I when I could not see clearly out of them. Told her just give me my old prescription. She said ok. No concern whatsoever.
I got a certificate that covered getting a exam, lenses, and frames so I may be a little biased but I was treated excellently despite the fact that I wasnt spending any money there. If youre paying out of pocket it is pretty pricey because frames range from $150-$250 and lenses are about $300. I spent about 30 minutes there in total. Good experience overall.
My dad saw Dr. Adam at the Central Park office for some new glasses, everyone in his office was great and his glasses came in quickly! Would love to recommend yall to anyone!
I should have listened to other reviews. Took my mom to get bifocal glasses, waited over two weeks but the prescription was way off. They kept blaming her for looking at the wrong lens (i.e. looking through bottom for long distant). She has had bifocals for over 10 years! After arguing with the associates, they finally let my mom see the doctor. She got a new prescription, waited 2 more weeks. The new pair was better but still off. They charged me $30 for using our own frames and $150 for just regular bifocal lens that she couldn’t wear. I took her to Lens Crafter and got a new pair within three days. There’s a reason why their glasses exam is so cheap. Their lens and frames were also overpriced.
I never actually made it to the office bc my experience was so bad. Made an appointment online...they gave me a call and insisted that my appointment date was a week earlier, even though I had a confirmation email with the correct date. The lady was rude and had poor phone manners. I let them know I would call back the next day to to finalize an appointment time. The next day, they called at 10 am and said they had to cancel my appointment because they didnt have insurance info for me. I had explained I was getting a new insurance card, and Ive never heard of a policy like that before. What if I wanted to pay out of pocket? They may be great doctors but they need to train their office staff.
This office is incredibly family friendly. Some practices you go to with children dont tolerate them very well but we feel so welcomed here. We see Dr. Fiegl for the whole family and he is so great with our children! Very patient and kind. We recommend him to families 100%!
Slow...Slow...Slow... as Im writing this review multiple people have came and gone before my wife who has already been here for over an hour and still waiting. If its called doctors of optometry you would think it meant more than just ONE doctor! An appointment is made in order to keep timely schedule. So keep true to the darn appt and not just an estimated timeframe!On another note the doc was good. A little hyper and funny but he sure knew what he was doing! He also recommended things that are new and so far well proven on the market.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Adam for 15 years and love him. I feel like he cares about me and tries very, very hard to make me feel comfortable.
I and my family have been going here for years. The service and professionalism is fantastic. Everything is done to accommodate everyone, bar none. We would not entertain going any where else.

Nice selection of frames but dont get your prescription lenses made here. I waited two weeks for my glasses to be ready and the prescription was way off. I took them back two days later and waited another two weeks for them to replace the lenses. The 2nd set seemed worse than the first but Im not sure if they actually replaced the first set or gave me the same ones. I had paid almost $800. My insurance benefits had paid another $300 for glasses I could not wear. I went to LensCrafters and paid $500 to get the lenses I needed which were ready in 3 days.
Dr. Wade Fiegl and the staff at Eye Care Doctors of Optometry are excellent. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Fiegl and confident with his expertise. Going to the eye doctor is not one of my favorite things but this experience was great and I will have no issues going back again.
I was completely impressed and I honestly felt like each and every part of the office cared about me and my eye health! Although I wasnt seen for about 15 minutes after my appointment was scheduled, I am still giving them a five out of five because how awesome the place is! My doctor was awesome and she took the time to explain quite a bit! People are way too impatient these days and need to stop complaining about waiting too long. Most of the time, the same people are the ones that make doctors run late too...Keep up the Good Work ECDO of Fburg!
Everyone was incredibly friendly and Dr. Mitra Madison was especially thorough in explaining everything in detail, which I definitely appreciated. The staff was helpful and I was surprised at the incredibly personalized care when choosing frames and lenses...not something I was expecting but I was pleased at their overall customer care approach.
I have been a patron for over 4 years now and I can assure you that they have the latest and greatest in eye exam technology.
I have been seeing Dr. Mitra for years, and I love the practice. The prices are on par with other optometrists. They only carry more expensive frames it seems (or I have expensive taste), but they are not priced differently than the same frames elsewhere. I would highly recommend them.

The doctors are very nice. But every time I have gone I have waited at least an hour. They always mess up my appointment time and blame it on the patients.TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE WAIT.I will go to an office that values my time.

Everything from start to finish was a very pleasant experience. You can tell they put thought and care into every part of what they do.
I went to the establishment as a new patient and was not welcomed by the receptionist or staff/doctor who was in the lobby. The staff seemed annoyed that I was there which ultimately turned me off! However, another couple was greeted and offered immediate assistance. Not impressed especially based on other reviews.

Waited an hour past my appointment time to be seen, called to check on my glasses and left on hold for 30 minutes. Finally get the status of my glasses- they were suppose to take 7-10 days (today is Day 9) and I’m told they haven’t even been shipped back to them yet. Spur of the moment decision to use here instead of my regular eye doctor— huge mistake.
