Cupcakes werent dry at all and were moist and dense.The employee working was very nice and assisted me very well on my first trip here. I ordered a dozen assortment of the weekly special cupcakes (pumpkin spice, London Fog, and sticky bun) for a small bridal shower and WOW - I wish I had ordered more! All of the cupcakes were an absolute hit, especially the London Fog cupcake, which was very similar to the London Fog tea latte at Starbucks (earl gray tea, lavender, and bergamot). My sister actually texted me days later to tell me she couldn’t stop thinking about that London Fog cupcake…LOL!I didn’t realize this before arriving, but Sweet Reasons has an entire cafe/coffee shop setup at the new location. Lucky for me, the pumpkin spice cupcakes were still in the works (I got there right when they opened), so I treated myself to a cookies & cream cupcake with a fresh cup of coffee. The coffee was fresh and strong and the cookies & cream cupcake still ever so warm. I wish I had more time to sit, enjoy my coffee, snack on my cupcake, and do some work or read a book!The new cafe has such a warm, rustic, welcoming feeling and the customer service is unmatched. I can’t say enough great things about Sweet Reasons! They are my go-to spot whenever I need sweets for an event (even Mother’s Day!). Next on my list of must-haves is their brownies! They had an entire array that looked absolutely delicious and much better than the ones I ordered from another popular bakery (will never do that again!)!

Staff:Please take your time when filling orders! My husband had to wait a total of 3 hours due to the mistakes that were made on my cake and cupcake order last week. After driving 1.5 hrs to get to the establishment.I normally enjoy getting my cakes from Sweet Reasons but I was disappointed in their service this time. And they did not offer any discounts to my order! Your product can be good but customer service matters also!!Not sure I want to risk driving over an hour for their cakes.

I feel really dissapointed to leave this review.... stopped by yesterday for a treat and left feeling like a bother. I walked in and it was empty, i was never greated or acknowledged at all!!! I had to look around and then tell the girl behind the counter what I wanted. I then pajd and left. There was no convo from the girl unless I spoke 1st. Please remind your employees that customers like to be talked to and feel appreciated just as much as they do. Another thing was the cupcakes feel like they keep changing. One time their amazing the next their okay and this time it just didnt seem to be great.

Very rude costumer service. Girls didnt know what they were talking about and made us feel as if we werent welcome. They wouldnt even let us look over their cake options or catalogs because we didnt know when we wanted the cake by. All we wanted were ideas and to see what they could do,, and they were very rude over that.

The cupcakes were good but not great. The service was great. The young ladies at the counter were very friendly and nice. We loved the frosting bites. Basically for under a dollar, you get a mini container with frosting on it. Recommend the gingerbread frosting.

Have visited Sweet Reasons several times since they relocated. I have been consistently impressed by the very friendly and helpful staff, the quality and selection of their baked goods, and store appearance. Definitely our go-to place for cupcakes in the Stafford-Fredericksburg area.

I have been to many bakeries in my life but this bakery is hands down the best bakery in town. They have a great selection of treats, but their cupcakes are to die for! Customer service is on point and the staff are very informative.

I’ve always loved Sweet Reasons from the moment I tried one of their cupcakes until recently.. The last couple times my family and I have been to Sweet Reason the cupcakes have been extremely dry as if they’ve been sitting out for a day then severed the next day. The cupcakes are kinda pricey but again I haven’t mind spending the money for the cupcakes because they used to be amazing. They were always fresh & moist for multiple days. I’m not sure if the recipe has been changed or there is a new baker or because of the current change in business but either way it’s unacceptable to be charged your customers almost $4 dry overcooked cupcakes. Please make some changes for the business again this is not a hate comment this is just a concerned loyal customer trying to continue having business with your company!** In response to the owner:Calls were previously made regarding the freshness of the cupcakes. For years my family and I have been loyal customers and plan on continuing to be. Best cupcakes in Fredericksburg, hands down! Sweet reasons catered the cupcakes at our wedding several years ago, and we have been loyal customers ever since. I am gluten free and very picky about GF baked goods. Most places definitely do not get it right! Sweet reasons on the other hand, has NAILED the GF cupcake!! Every GF flavor I have had so far has been phenomenal. I send all my GF friends straight to them!

Moved here 5 yrs. ago from Hawaii and I was hoping to find delicious cupcakes like back home and Sweet Reasons Cupcakes did not disappoint. Ive tried other cupcakes in the area but Sweet Reasons was the winner for me. Every birthday I make sure to have always stop by here. Their cupcakes are moist, flavorful, and sweet (but not too sweet). It was also awesome to see that they were in Cupcake Wars just like my fav. bakery back home. Other than cupcakes they have yummy cheesecakes. Lime was my favorite.

Red Velvet Raspberry and Black and White are my favorites, and I love that each week they have three new, creative flavors. These have become a must have when I have relatives in town visiting. I needed to order a cake last minute for a baby shower. When I came the staff was very friendly and accommodating even though it was last minute. They had a lot of cake options and the prices were very reasonable. The cake was ready when they said it would be and it was gorgeous. More beautiful than I expected it to be. More importantly it was delicious. Everyone couldn’t stop gushing over the cake and it was finished off rather quickly. I would gladly come back for cupcakes or cake for another party.

My wife and I contracted Sweet Reasons for our son and daughter in laws baby shower a few weeks ago. The cupcakes were fantastic and they were able to replicate their favorite layer from their wedding cake. Attendees were going back for the cupcakes more than anything else. They were moist and had a great flavor. They even provided gluten free cup cakes as well. Manager, Riki, was a kindred soul and amazing to work with. We highly recommend them.

LOVE THEM!!! I had my wedding in June and I had to find a cake and cupcakes within two months. Juli was fast at getting to me and getting me what I need. The cupcakes and cake was amazing and I was so happy with everything. I am still getting ask about the cupcakes and who did them. I would go with them for any event I have in the future

The team was very amazing with letting me know what was going on and setting up. I highly recommend for anyone with a celebration ESPECIALLY A WEDDING!!!!

This place is fantastic. The cupcakes are moist and delicious. They have unique flavor combos that never disappoint. The service is so friendly. My kids love to go here when were on a special outing. Theyre happy to answer questions and super patient when I have the little ones with me struggling with what to choose. We have also tried their truffles and cups and both are just as good as the cupcakes. Even my husband who isnt a chocoholic like me was seriously impressed. Please open a location in North Stafford!

I enjoy trying the different flavor combinations. I had a pumpkin caramel pecan cupcake that was so good that I went and got it a second day in a row. I have tried the staple black and white and red velvet but I did not really care for those. I have liked every other flavor ive tried(too many to count). I also wish they had more drink options to accompany the cupcakes. Ill definitely continue to be a repeat customer.

I was traveling with a group returning from D.C. We decided to stop in Fredericksburg for a quick bite to eat. I have a fabulous sweet tooth and Sweet Reasons Cupcakes caught my eye. I tried the RED VELVET CUPCAKE. I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the cupcake was and more importantly the perfectly mixed/blended icing for the cupcake. Not sure if it was a cream cheese icing...but it was FANTASTIC. Not only were the cupcakes great...but I was greeted with a smile and friendly small talk. Im not sure if the Lady present was the owner, if so, THANK YOU!!! Thank you for your act of kindness and appreciation, it definitely made my day brighter. This wonderful shop has been added to my list of best places that have red velvet cupcakes !!!!

Very dense cupcakes.Which wouldnt have bothered me if they were as good as they looked.Seems to use same base batter for all product and then adjust for flavors.Yet not very flavorful in the cake or the frosting.Cant tell a big difference between flavors. And the only difference in some, was the icing flavor/coloring or infusion of in the center of cupcake.40 dollars for 12 cupcakes that had no flavor...😞 the kids didnt even like them and they sat on the counter. But they looked pretty sitting there.Disappointed. Sweet Reasons, cupcakes are super moist. There cupcakes have a great flavor and when you get a strawberry or a cherry cupcake they use real cherrys and strawberry’s. There cupcakes have such a great flavor and there’s not a lot of frosting. And when you take your first bite you get a burst of flavor. And the service was fantastic.

While on vacation, I passed by while shopping and decided to stop for a cupcake. Well I was not disappointed. I ordered a chocolate cupcake and it was delicious!!! The cake was moist and the frosting was soft. My only regret was not ordering cheesecake as well. Also the serving size is worth the price! I would recommend this shop to my family.

They have a small selection of gluten free items that change daily. Today was brownies. A fun idea they have is selling portion cups with frosting in different flavors. Just frost your own.

Our wedding was on June 26, 2016! We had an amazing experience with Sweet Reasons from our tasting to our wedding and after! The cupcakes were amazing! Each flavor tasted great and looked just as we had discussed during our tasting. Our guest at the wedding enjoyed the variety that we had still ask where we got our cupcakes from. We will definitely order for our future event!!

Not Worth. I was really disappointed that my $4 cupcake wasn’t that good. The icing was tasty but the cake was dry and flavorless. I’ve had way better cupcakes at a cheaper price.Update: My order was only on the Peanut Butter cupcake. Perhaps the others are better.

Where do I begin? Sweet Reasons sells creative, fresh, moist, deliciously, not too sweet, bundles of happiness tucked in a giant the cupcake wrapper. The cake is amazing; the fillings are yummy and plentiful; the icing is buttery and just right! Dont miss this place! I have not tried their cheesecake yet, but it looks amazing!

The raspberry red velvet cupcakes are amazing but their chocolate cupcakes fall apart - especially the chocolate peanut butter. As soon as you bite into them, the bottom falls off and you cannot enjoy it - instant crumbly mess.

They were the cake option for our wedding. the cupcakes were wonderful and the cutting cake was perfect. The cost was also lower than a standard cake and we got to have five flavors for guests to choose from.

Stopped here yesterday to grab a cheesecake for my nephews birthday. Hes the cheesecake enthusiast yet the entire table was drooling over this cake, it really was something else. What a disappointment!This is a review of the cake itself. The frosting and customer service were good.I ordered a dozen cupcakes for my sons 1st b-day. I wanted something fresh baked. Unfortunately thats not what I got. Spending 30$ on cupcakes leads you to have high expectations, however these things were dried out and had a gritty texture when eaten. As a new customer to Sweet Reasons, they had the chance to win my business for future events. Unfortunately they did not. I wont return.

I was there on 4-4-19... I had the strawberry cheesecake and the oreo cupcake, they were amazingly tasty. The staff was friendly and happy with lots of smiles.

Expensive at $3.62 after tax for 1 cupcake, but the quality is fantastic. I had the cherry amaretto, which tasted like the amaretto-soaked maraschino cherry at the bottom of a top shelf amaretto sour. Yum! The red edible glitter was a bit much, but the cake was a lovely bright pink with pieces of chopped cherries throughout. The crumb of the cake was almost too moist & fragile for a cupcake, delicious!

BEST cupcakes EVER! Melt in your mouth! My favorite cupcakes are the German Milk Chocolate, Espresso, and Turtle. The staff are always friendly & professional and the bakery is clean and welcoming! (Brownies literally melt in your mouth!)

Horrible, I got the red velvet and black and white, the crown and a peanut butter and chocolate cupcake with a slice of cherry cheesecake and all was dry. Not good or worth the money. My daughter who is three even said it was yucky and threw it away. Very disappointed.

Buyer Beware! Paying in advance is no guarantee you will get what you order!ALWAYS check your order carefully BEFORE leaving the store!As a customer, I was normally quite satisfied with the service that I previously received, but the way that my order was filled Saturday, 7 May was a big departure from that record. I specifically pre-ordered a half dozen of four different cupcake flavors as a special surprise for my wife for Mothers Day. When I picked up the order, there was a male and a female attendant working behind the counter. When I started to check my order to ensure that everything was in order, the female attendant saw what I was doing and reassured me that everything was there before I actually finished checking both bags. I took her at her word and stopped checking the order. After I made the 30 minute drive home and I was taking the cupcakes out of the bags, I discovered that instead of giving me the full half dozen of Black and White cupcakes I was only given three Black and White cupcakes and nine red raspberry cupcakes, which is not what I ordered. When I called to ask how the mix-up occurred, the female attendant tried to tell me that I fully inspected both bags under her supervision, which was not the case. I reminded her that I stopped my inspection before it was complete based on her word that everything was there.When I made my order, I was advised to pay in advance to ensure that I received all of the ones that I wanted to purchase and to avoid the store running out of the flavors that I wanted before I arrived. However, the way my order was packaged leads me to believe that this possibility had already occurred when my order was packaged despite having paid in advance. How else could this mix up occur? It is a bit difficult to mistake a half dozen of four different flavors for a half dozen of just two of those flavors and then nine of one and only three of the remaining.If their personnel had already run out of the Black and White cupcakes before packaging my order, I would have appreciated at least the courtesy of being told when I came to pick up my order instead of being assured of the orders accuracy only to find it quite wrong after driving all the way home through heavy traffic, leaving the only way to rectify the wrong order being to drive all the way back to your store through even worse traffic.I sent the store an email with a picture attached clearly showing their error and they never responded or even made an attempt to apologize for their deception.-KB

The cupcakes were dry. The butter rum was a bit heavy handed on the rum side but tasted okay. 3/5.We only had butter rum, I am not sure if they were the gluten free or not.+1 star for customer service. 4/5.

I just have to say that I LOVE these cupcakes! Salted Caramel cupcake is like a slice of heaven on a plate! The others are delish but that one is my favorite!

I would have loved to give this local place a better review but my review instead reflects how I’ve repeatly witnessed one of the higher up staff members make fun of food allergies, including ones the bakery says they cater to.I personally do not feel safe continuing eating here as an individual with food allergies and would advise those who also have them, inducing who are gluten free, to take extreme caution if choosing this place.Besides that, the gluten free cake is incredibly dense and dry, saved only by the frosting which has a habit of tasting weird on certain days. I definitely find other bakeries in the area do a better job with cake.The buttercream is delicious and the top first or second in the entire area. There is definitely a good reason for frosting shots. The cream cheese buttercream seems to vary by batch, I’ve had both delicious and unpleasantly tangy.

Hands down, this is the best cupcakes in Fredericksburg! I have to admit, they are a bit pricey but absolutely the tastiest and the most moist cupcakes around. The variety of flavors are amazing.

Their cupcakes are amazing!!! I had a peanut butter and chocolate and a red velvet. The cake was most, icing sweet but not overly sweet, soft, not thick, absolutely to die for. Well worth the price. And its a good thing they are pricy because that is whats keeping me from buying 100 of them lol

They are super doper moist. 2. The cake is light nfluffy, the only way a cupcake should be. 3. The icing is not too sweet. 4. OMG, the flavors- okay, if the ingredient description says lemon, raspberry, mango (making it up)- you can bet your bottom dollar that you will taste each and EVERY flavor! No joke, individually and collectively. 5. All of their flavors do a delicate balance of song and dance on your palette. Its almost seductive, lol. 6. Prices are reasonable. They have a great discount program that you quickly rack up savings towards free stuff. 7. Favs- Im somewhat of a plain Jane of sorts. I dont like fillings, coconuts, nor lemon flavors, Im even sometimy on chocolate. But my favs are the Birthday Cake- vanilla on vanilla- chocolate is delish too, Cookies n Cream, Maple Bacon, Christmas Carol- is a white chocolate, mint.....I did wanna slap a mother, not mine because I wanna live- lmbo, but slap somebody. If you dont like mint, dont get it but lawd, its one of the best Ive ever had, in my entire life!!!!♡♡♡♡ To sum it all up if youre my friend, a gift certificate to Sweet Reasons will make me, love you long time ;-).
