I ordered a pair of boots for $169.65 on October the second. I found out October 12th they hadn’t shipped the boots due to supply issues. When I called to ask NORTHERN TOOL why they had charge my card on October 2 AND October 12th they informed me: Northern Tools policy is to charge a preauthorization (pending charge) to your card every 10 days until the item ships. Now my credit card utilization has been costing credit points because of this so I had the item canceled on October 22! When they charged me a 3rd time! And had still not shipped the item! Today is October 26. On the 23rd I was told the charge would be off my card in 24 hours. I am not currently writing and leaving BAD REVIEWS FOR NORTHERN TOOL until I see the charge released from my card. DO NOT SHOP AT NORTHERN TOOL!

Great place to find tools and storage gear. Staff is very friendly at checkout. However the floor staff is anything but helpful. This is my fifth visit buying product here. Unfortunately all my visits have been the same, rude and unfriendly floor staff and friendly/helpful checkout staff. Its the deals that keep me coming back.

Great variety of items here. Hand tools, power tools, generators, pressure washers, PPE, trailers, towing equipment, etc. Theyre even an authorized Stihl retailer which is great! Prices seemed to be very fair and competitive to other like stores in the area, I always watch for their sales flyers in my email as that is the way to get the best deals. I will undoubtedly be back! Only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that they messed up an online order I placed. Regardless this is a great tool shop.

Never shop at Northern Tool but back in the day when I was a P & D Driver there was one in Newport News Va on my route always enjoyed the store. I received a $50 gift card for them about 3 years thought it had expired but nope ordered my B&D cordless drill got free shipping which should be here in a few days so Im happy.

I didnt have a bad experience. the last time I ordered a tool, it just took longer to get my tool then what was posted.

Bought an expensive stihl attachment for my leaf blower and received zero paperwork with it. Not one piece. Usually get an owners manual are some kind of maintenance or item label or directions. Nothing. Asked about it and was told it didnt come with any. Still not believing that.

I love the store and the prices. I just think that the store should be more aligned with their online purchases. For example if I order an item online and the store has only one of that item, I cannot pick it up. I have to wait until another one comes in. But, if I just go buy it at the store, I get the advertised online price. Seems inconsistent to me.

Specifically called at 9:00 this morning to verify a item was in stock. Sales member said they had two. Drove 1:15 minutes to the store and there was, after much looking by two employees, only a display model. They couldn’t find the case and paperwork for the display model, if I wanted that. I usually buy other stuff when I shop also but this incompetence today was pathetic.

The main problem is that they are out of very many sale Milwaukee items, so my order(s) are back ordered, not sure why as other vendors have the same items in stock. However i like the family owned aspect of this company.

A bait and switch company. If purchased a combo deal (tool+battery kit) and you used the 20% coupon that they sent, they will send you a “tool only” kit instead of that combo deal you intended to buy. They will do their best to avoid you when call for the RA number.Even after the 20% coupon, their tool only kit price was still $50 higher than anyone on the SMH
