Wow!! Their recent warehouse sale on fishing supplies was awesome. I stocked up for a full year at least.

Come on your name is Gander Outdoors,, but you have No fishing gear, No firearms, No ammo, No backing/Hiking gear, No outdoor clothes. Dont waste your time going to this store.

This store has completely gone downhill. They got rid of all their guns and they do not sell clothing anymore. We were highly disappointed. I will not be shopping here anymore.

Great place to come to for rv and rv supplies. I talked to an associate B. Strother and she pointed me in the right direction to get things for my uncles rv.

I went here recently and was line and waiting while a young girl who was very nice was extremely busy obviously needing some help but was handling herself so well given the circumstances, finally another girl (name tag said Sam) calls me over so rudely “ummm you can come over here”. With such an attitude. I hope she doesn’t work often cause she has terribly customer service skills. (I have worked in sales and customer service for over 10 years) I will not return to this location.

Have only had good experiences at this store other than LONG check out lines. But all staff have been friendly and helpful and this is a store I look forward to shopping at.

Gander no longer sells guns, ammunition, or hunting supplies. I would give them ZERO stars, but 1 is the lowest. So Green Top and Bass Pro Shops will be getting ALL my Fishing, hunting, and outdoors business. Too bad they went that route of kowtowing to political woke-manship.

Store has alot of great RV and camping products at reasonable prices. The only negative I have is they are downsizing or eliminating their fishing section.

Prices have dropped some since it was Gander mtn. Still bringing in more stock, but what have is good stuff. Some gear used to be from online dealers only. Very good quality merchandise. Customer service is friendly and loves to give advice and talk.

Store isnt the same with out firearms or anything good. Definitely wont be back

Walk through out the entire store not once was I asked if I needed help. Let alone greeted by anyone. I assume it was not a lot of people on staff or something.

Nice store with lots of variety and (from the few times Ive been there) a great sale section--highly discounted, quality outdoor items & apparel. My only complaint is that although they have a huge variety of gear, they dont have a ton of selection within each category of gear. For instance, their camo hunting apparel section is lacking in quantity/variety. Regardless, definitely worth your time to stop in!

Great customer service. Be sure to check the clearance section. I saved a bundle on the grill I went in for. Almost a100 dollars.

Gander RV (formerly Gander Mountain) has significantly reduced the selection of items that they offer in the last few years to make room for their big, dumb RV sales area. It takes up about half the store and almost every department has been shrunk to make room for it.It was much better a few years ago when the firearms for sale had much more variety and the outdoors equipment took up more space on the sales floor.Good if you want RVs, I guess. But if youre looking for literally anything else outdoors-related, dont waste your time. Visit Bass Pro Shop or Green Top in Ashland, instead.

Finally found the collaspible container that will fit 33 gallon trash bags for my RV. The staff was very nice in helping me locate it. Note to self.. its not a trash can.. its a container..lol.

Her knowledge on the pros and cons of the units and her camping experience were what helped us feel comfortable with taking the plunge and buying our RV. No games, no tricks, no drama. I go in often to get supplies for my tiny house. They have a decent selection of things I need, but dont try to buy anything in bulk because they dont keep much of every single item in stock. This is not a huge deal, though. Definitely the best place to get RV items in Fredericksburg.

What can I say? Everything about our experience with Gander RV in Fredericksburg VA has been incredible! We had been searching for quite some time for the perfect travel trailer for us and BOOM! Not only did they have it, but they had the knowledge and know how to get it done for us. We had gone to several different dealerships (including one from the same group) and were treated like a number and were led to what they wanted us to see (not so much what WE were looking for). These guys went above and beyond and would have shown us ever single unit on the lot had we asked. They were patient and amazingly respectful in every way (which is AMAZING because we had one dealer that wouldnt even acknowledge my wife and again only showed us what HE thought we could afford and then drove us around the lot saying things like you dont THAT). If you are looking or even ready to buy, do yourself a HUGE favor and go to Gander RV in Fredericksburg first! Talk to Jacob or Mike (the GM), They are super guys who will go out of their way to help in any way! You absolutely will not regret this choice in any way!

The store is slim pickings but thats to be expected during this time. I found what I was looking for so was pleased at that. Even with the inventory being slim, the store was still well organized and not picked over.

Wide variety of outdoor gear, Archery selection was lacking though, especially traditional. Seems like the kind of place that has a little bit of a lot of stuff, instead of specializing. Had a great selection of guns and knives from what I saw.

Melissa was awesome!They were short staffed because of all of this virus stuff and we were not able to get the work done to take the trailer home but the staff tried to accommodate alternative options very well.I do have one very serious complaint. The person giving us the walk through for our traller refused to wear a mask. We asked him repeatedly to wear a mask and he refused. We had to end the walk through because he was inside the tiny trailer without a mask. We protected him with our masks but he would not protect us. We had to end the walk through.These trailers cost in the 10s of thousands of dollars. How much does a mask cost?

I ordered a gun online and when it arrived at Gander the gun was rusted and not like the picture so they exchanged it for a much better gun and called it even.It doesnt get any better than that.

Nice store with lots of options, varieties, and values... Staff is even better, very helpful and friendly ... They actually treat you like a valued customer and will take time to help.... If they dont know the answers to your questions they will find it... Plus, I want to mention the manager Dustin, very friendly and will do whatever it takes ( within his power ) to help, you cant help but notice he wants to make sure you are happy when you leave and just as friendly after a sale as before. Although, its an hour n half drive I will be a return customer and alot of the reason is because of the customer service, unlike ALOT of others.... Coming from an area with plenty of sports n outdoors stores.... I am fairly new to the rewards program but seems to be worth while.... Thanks !!!

Order parts from them week later called and ask way parts where never shipped after paying for 2 shipping they told me it was on back order .So I ask for my refund because it showed item in stock .Only got back tax and item money took me 2 weeks to get back my shipping money on item never shipped

Was dishonest with me, and did not hold up their end of the deal. Of course this was disclosed after I signed the papers for a 2020 RV from them. When I called back to speak with the manager, Matt, that gave me incorrect information, I was given the runaround. When I finally got a hold of someone in their corporate office (who was of no help), I was informed that the manager no longer works for the company. Because of their shady business practices and high turnover rate, I would never do business with them again and would not recommend them to anyone else.

I recently had an amazing experience. I purchased a 26 ft travel trailer with no hassle at all. The Gm Mike took special care of us. We had a few questions after delivery and was so quick to answer. New sales guy Jacob was also a lot of help.

Friendly, organized and well kept

Went in looking for 2 kayaks after searching for DAYS. Found exactly what we were looking for, and Dustin was super helpful. He got us set up on a membership which saved us money and he was just in general a really nice guy to talk to. We will absolutely be back for our camping and fishing gear upgrades soon!

Inventory is ok, Ive bought a shotgun and 9mm not complaint on that part. The biggest thing (and reason for removing stars) is their staffs attitude (in the gun department), most unfriendly staff I seen in the Fredericksburg area. Not everyone is rude, but the vast majority.

Always seems to be expanding their selection, today they now have powersports items like mopeds, go carts, tow campers, utility atvs and they offer financing, will be back.

Store is much better now than it was before when owned by Gander Mountain. The gear is more up to date and higher quality. The staff is knowledgeable but still not nearly enough to keep up with helping customers on a busy Saturday. They do have a great collection of guns and a good amount of fishing supplies.

Gander is becoming less a sporting goods store and more an RV gadget center. I guess that is good if you have an RV.

Not a very good experience. I didnt feel welcomed in this store. I shopped around in the firearms section for almost 40 minutes and not one person came by to assist me or ask if I needed assistance.

The manager Dustin was extremely helpful and patient with assisting me in selecting items for my daughters first outdoor trip to the Chesapeake Bay; he literally walked around the store with us identifying items we needed on our checklist and helping us discern which items were best suited for our needs until we had everything that we came in for. I’d also like to acknowledge Justin who was the sales associate that initially assisted us and was being just as helpful. Great 1st impression and I will definitely refer people to this store as well as come back if I ever have the need to purchase similar items.

Placed on order well over 2 months ago. Apparently the item was out of stock when the order was placed... why would I be able to order something out of stock or not be told when placing order that it wouldnt be back in stock until 7/1?! Sent multiple email requests, sat in phone and online chats queues for HOURS... Finally got ahold of someone a month later and was then told the item was out of stock until 7/1, but would be shipping soon from the manufacturer. A month later, still have not received my order! I can not get an answer from a customer service rep when it will arrive and have been conveniently disconnected the last few times Ive spoken to customer service. Cant get my order or a refund at this point. This was a present for my 6 year who is so disappointed that her kayak has not arrived.

I love going to this store. Its like drugs to me. Its my fix. I love going to this store even if just to check guns out. Prices need to be a bit lower however, since there are stores that are not as big they tend to over price their items a bit. With such a large inventory they need to lower prices to obtain more customers.

The inside of the store is large and spacious, but felt surprisingly empty. We went there looking for camping and hiking supplies and were disappointed to find their camping section only had about five short aisles of chest high shelves filled with mostly generic items.This may sound weird, but everything about the store (including the employees, colors, lighting, and music) felt sad and depressing. Ive never experienced anything quite like that before.

If I could give zero stars then I would. If you are a someone who camps a lot in the area then EVERYONE will tell you not to go to this store. It is a known fact that this location is one of the worst. The manager Mike is like a curse word whispered in the local campgrounds. So My best advice is to find another place to shop for your camping needs.

Was told yesterday by salesperson Dan to be at store this morning he would be there and have a box of 300 9mm ammo for me put aside because of quick selling I told him Id be there between 915 and 930 arrived at 920 no Dan no ammo and I live 30 miles from the store. Not happy

Just lost of words on their customer service. If your looking for customer service this is the place to go. I wont go into detail but I will say that this store actually cares for its customers. If youre going to shop for anything firearms or outdoor related this is the place to go! This team went above and beyond to help me settle my issue and made it the most painless experience!

I went in ready to buy a some fishing equipment and left with so much useful and appreciated knowledge! Big John took his time explains every single part of fishing rods, reels, bait, and line and his own personal recommendations were wonderful since he does competitive fishing. I went in to this store a while back to purchase my first firearm. The associate who helped me, Willie Holloway, went above and beyond to make this experience calming and comfortable. He took his time to answer any and all questions I had. He got to know me and figured out which firearm would be best suited for me, not just the most expensive like some places. He was very knowledgeable in what he was selling and beyond patient with me. Overall, Willie Holloway made this experience super easy and he gained my business for years to come. Tim Shultz at Gander Outdoors is THE MAN when it comes to kayaking. Tim is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about kayaks and equipment associated with kayaking. And he has plenty of personal experience, so his knowledge is practical.But the thing that makes Tim a great salesperson is he doesn’t let his expert perspective influence what he recommends to customers. We are neither as young nor as fit as many paddlers, so Tim guided us to boats that were more suited to our abilities. We were so delighted with our experience with our first boat that we came back & bought another one the following day.

I went to this location with my family and in laws to buy a few things since we were camping. We went to look at the RVs since my father-in-law was interested in upgrading. We did not have our masks on since some people did not, however we did have them in our bags. The retail associate asked if she could help us and we responded “no” because after two weeks of dealing with the financial department we needed up going elsewhere to buy our RV. Mike the RV general manager indicated we lied and started raising his voice to my mother in law who was not being loud or rude. He starts yelling at all of us and told us we needed to leave and that we needed to wear our masks but only said that once he put his masks on. Long story short it was unprofessional and we have reported him to corporate for follow up. He was completely unprofessional and rude. My wife and I have perfect credit we will take our business elsewhere.

This is your classic hunting and fishing store. They also have a moderately large selection of camping gear, however it is more focused on the hunting and fishing segment of the population.They have a pretty large selection of hunting clothes, firearms, crossbows, and anything else that would suit your fancy for a store like this.

Had a great experience at the Fredericksburg location. Place was busy staff made sure everyone was addressed and once I got served Will was fast and very helpful with my purchase. Also was enjoyed the conversation and professionalism.

Marcus in the firearms department was very knowledgeable and helpful yesterday. I did not expect to learn as much as I did either! He was patient, and took the time to show me how several things worked and even helped me find and compare different items rather than just telling me what I should get. The others working with him were also very helpful all seemed to work well together. I will be going back to Gander for sure!

I recently purchased a Liberty Safe at Gander. The manager, Dustin, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in the process and answered all my questions. Easy to order and helpful in keeping me updated while waiting on it to arrive. Saved quite a bit also.
