Great products and great deals...but dont expect great service. Like the warehouse stores, youre on your own.

We came here to buy shoes for my son for PE. We got the shoes, didnt need any help and we got out pretty quick from the store.

Ive been there a number of times. Always one of the shoe helpers is rude big time! Acts like your bothering him. Not helpful at all! Others are helpful ..thats why I go back.

We bought snow boots from here before going to south lake Tahoe. Its of reasonable price around $25-35 range and good quality. They have kids sizes as well as grown-ups. On the mountain, snow boots were useful and comfortable.

I believe the manager there helped me with purchasing my first kayak. He was super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The store is super small and doesn’t always have what you need but has pretty good deals on the things they do have!

Not my favorite sports store, but than there isnt many of them left, at least the brick and mortar sports stores and locations. I came here to get some special sports tape, called voodoo tape, and they didnt have it.Pros: easy to see and find, free parking, small store with decent amount of inventory, they do sell guns and ammo, fishing gear and lots of clothes. Prices are competitive and they do have good sales.Cons: parking lot is shared with Sprouts so space can be limited during busy times, be careful crossing the street to get to the entrance, aisles are very tight and small, if you are claustrophobic be warned, store is not staffed well in the shoe department and always a mess there.I only visit about 3 to 5 times a year, mostly to get the kids shoes or something important and needed immediately. Again, check there sales, it is sometimes better than Amazon prices without the wait.

I went in here the other day to look at their guns and check on prices on ammo. These guys have a decent price on ammo when its on sale. The rest of the time it seems to be overpriced. But if you wait for the sales the price is pretty reasonable. The people working in the gun section always know a lot about the guns and ammunition. Seeing as how Im just starting out in the hobby thats kind of nice to build to ask all my questions and have them answered by knowledgeable person. I will definitely be going back

The customer service I received was excellent and they had what I was looking for at a good price, a supportive day pack for hiking. Unfortunately the store was not at all accessible! The clothing racks and displays were far too close together and they did not provide the minimun 36 inch clearance for wheelchairs and mobility aids.

Good prices and selection in a bit of a chaotic order. The staff was helpful in navigating the store so I had no trouble finding everything. They carry everything from swimwear to gym equipment and hunting gear.

If you have patience to search and find, they have fairly good stock. But, nobody from staff is willing to help in finding the right goods. I think they have lot money to pay for such bad attitude staff. I went there yesterday to buy soccer kits for my kids. Wasted my 45 minutes searching and waiting for someone to help. Even after 3 attempts to get help, no body turned up. If you have lot of free time and dont mind staff with bad attitude, this is a good place to find sporting stuff. I will never visit this shop again.

Has all good sporting equipment. However, it needs more variety. every sport has some equipment here. Its pretty cramped, due to the small size.

Traded in some shoes because forgot my coupon. When I took them in they were on sale got $40.00 back. Not bad

Staff is good and helpful. I got carded for buying bb or sling shot ammo. Could have picked some small rocks instead. Overall OK place. Somewhat disorganized layout, a similitude within most of these stores.

The MANAGER KERN was NOT WILLING TO HELP, INCONSIDERATE, AND VERY RUDE! My husband and I came to pick up a rifle we purchased and have waited for for days (which we had to go on the waiting list, just like everyone else). When we came in, the store was almost empty. We were anticipating that we will get help right away. We waited for help for a long time after being ignored by the manger himself. The managers name was KERN. When we finally get his attention, he looked at out pick-up slip and told us that he cannot help us for he does not have the time, since they will be closing soon. We explained that we were there earlier to be able to pick up the item in time. It is unbelievable how RUDE and INCONSIDERATE this manager was! His long list of reasons NOT TO HELP US were: I have NO to time, I have pay my employees for extra time, I have to wait for approval..., After being RUDE, he then changed his mind and said: as courtesy, I will do it, and Ill pay the overtime! (Really? It is his JOB as a manager to take care of every costumer that comes in that store!) He then started slamming the box of the item we were getting and the needed papers with his angry, sour face. The whole process only took him 9 MINUTES! By the time we left, the store was still open due to another unhappy customer (go figure!). All his whining goes down to the fact that HE DOES NOT WANT TO HELP! It was supposed to be a fun experience for my husband and I, but it turned out be a NIGHTMARE! It was all because the MANAGER KERN was NOT WILLING TO HELP, INCONSIDERATE, AND VERY RUDE!

I Feel a little cheated bought 2 bats marked baseball bats the sales person said they were not tball bats unless they say it near the base of the bat where the USA tag is. I told him of a couple of other bats that dented after a couple of hits. I thought he had been hitting a fence pole but the new bats dented as well after 2 games. I had asked about big 5 return policy and was told if the bat was unwrapped they would not take it back and I would have to send it back to Easton if I wanted to get my money back. To use the bat in little league you must take the wrapping off I did notice in very fine lettering on the barrel of the bat it was a tball bat! The sales man told me it was a baseball bat. Both bats were 26 and 27 inch bats lite weight 16/17 ounces for 7-8 year old kids made by Easton, a good company

They had everything I wanted until it was time for check out every thing I was purchasing was stacked the guy picked up one item and made a Comment when a pack of fishing hooks flew out as if they where hiding! Didnt say anything because if he really looked there was plenty more and nothing was hiding !I dont steel and certainly wouldnt be a 97cent pack of hooks! So next time keep your little remarks to yourself !then when it was time to pay he wouldnt take the 10 off coupon for big five! Said they dont accept 3rd party coupons come on it was big 5! They need to make sure who Ever is working behind the counter takes care of there customers and doesnt make accusations that are not correct ! I have shopped this location for years and now I will think twice about returning!

Fast, friendly service

This was the only place I was able to get a pair of male flip flops in size 12 for my man that wasnt going to fall apart in a month.

Really bad, bad customer service, they never have the size I asked for, really never, and the guy very rude. I m not happy at all.

I make trips to Big 5 for the kids sporting needs - baseball and softball. The selection is weak for girls specific softball equipment. While staff didnt know what they have in stock, but were helpful enough to describe what works.
