I purchased an iKamper RTT, iKamper awning, and Rhino Rack roof rack, and had them shipped to the east coast so I could do my own installation. Went to Rhino Adventure Gear to look at a camp kitchen and it was an awesome experience. The owner went above and beyond to show us the entire setup of our camp kitchen. Showed us all the options and then let us “play” with all the other amazing adventure gear they had in the warehouse. Then would show us options we could get on his site. Just had a fantastic experience purchasing a James Baroud roof top tent from Rhino Adventure. My family has been family camping for many years and we thought that a roof top tent could throw a fun dynamic into our camping experiences. Rhino Adventures opened up their garage letting us see what type of tents are available and to answer any questions that we had. We made a decision, got it installed at the shop, and are having an absolute blast. Its great to have this type of over landing resource in the Bay!

It was a pleasure meeting Rhino Adventure Gear and watching them install my new iKamper. I have been anticipating the installation on my X5 for a few months now. Rhino Adventure Gear is very responsive to email as well as sending invoices in a timely manner. Rhino Adventure Gear performed the installation at their shop and showed me how to set up the iKamper and also how to take it down. Rare and perfect experience from the first phone call, through the ordering process, to the installation. Professional old school high level of service where you actually talk to a real caring person and get the highest level of support and answers to all questions (and I had many..). The iKamper is beyond my expectations and is even nicer in reality than in the photos. I decided to not cheap out and I glad I did. Best tent ever and works very well with my lifted Jeep JKU. Can’t feel that it is even there on and off road. I didn’t need any warranty support yet but I’m sure that in case I will it will be flawless judging by the level of service I’ve seen so far. I purchased a James Baroud evasion rtt and the batwing awning from rhino adventure gear. I worked directly with Joost in getting the necessary information together to get the fit to work. It is not as easy as I would have thought to get one of these highly sought after tents. So if you are planning a road trip, get cracking on ordering what you need. Joost answered my emails promptly and happened to have one in stock in San Diego, which he had sent up to San Francisco in just a week. Don’t count on this, I think I was lucky that he had it in stock. Definitely plan on 6 weeks lead time on getting one of these tents but just contact Joost and he will give you an honest idea of what the time frame is. Next was the batwing awning. Joost gave me an honest assessment of the reality of getting this in stock within my time frame (4 weeks) based on current supplier shipping times. I’m new to getting this type of equipment, and if you are, too, my advice is again to get cracking, don’t wait til a month before you are headed out on a trip. That’s just the way it goes, it’s not like going to a store and just buying something. Anyways, Joost will help simplify the dizzying array of mounting options that are unfortunately so convoluted. we emailed back and forth and Joost always replied promptly. This was way more helpful to me than the typical, waiting forever for a response, followed by an empty promise, that we have come to dread from some specialty businesses. I felt that I was being given prompt, honest responses to my inquiries such that my expectations were real. The time came for me to make the drive up to sf (5 hrs) to get the installation. That’s where I met Chris, who did the installation of the batwing and James Baroud evasion rtt. He works all by himself, so we ended up working together in getting the job done. It really helps to have 2 people to do the job, so if you are there, plan on giving him a hand. It will help you understand how all the mounting stuff works, and you can chit chat about tips and other stuff, plus he’s a great guy. And, his sweet rig was parked out front so you can get a good look at all the stuff you want to get on your next upgrade. In the end, everything was mounted and fit perfectly. A great experience was had working with rhino adventure gear, and I would recommend them highly to anyone. I hope that they branch out into offering other services, like bumper/armor installation, because I would like to continue to do business with them for future upgrades. I made this transaction with Rhino Adventure Gear (RAG) all though email and watching videos on YouTube. We purchased the ikamper in white. It all began with a simple email and question. I connected with Joost, who was professional and prompt. No matter what time I emailed him he was always prompt responding within 12 hours.I live in the upper northwest and not always part of the shipping range widely available in thr lower 48. Joost was professional and willing to work with me. They had not shipped up my way and said it was not impossible. He made it work and two weeks later our hip,ent arrived on a pallet. Make sure you bring extra people to lift this on top of your car or if you live in thr area of RAG they can do it for you. The ikamper arrived in Prestine condition. It took about 2 hours to install for us. It may be faster for others. The ikamper looks sleek and comes across as one of those roof rack cargo tops.A week or two after receiving the ikamper, I hit a snag. The key that secures the tent from opening up was stuck. The key stuck out like an eye sore. I sent an email to Joost and he made contact with ikamper to send me the part. Again a very smooth, professional, and prompt transition. A week later I received the parts.I would highly recommend this company for any of your outdoor needs. Joost kept me up to date with photos and email of them preparing my ikamper to sending it off to me. They are a professional team/company. I am happy to have worked closely with Joost. High class customer service.Thank you.
