Heather was persistent & helpful to get my deceased dads Wittnauer watch running for me. It took several visits because I live 8½ hours away, but its now been working properly for several days. (Replaced battery on Visit 1, but watch would stop. She ordered a new movement, which she installed on Visit 2. New movement didnt show the date properly and some numbers were faded so after seeing it on Visit 3, she contacted her supplier and ordered another movement, which she installed on Visit 4.) I trusted overmyer jeweler because they deal with antiques, clocks, and watches and I read reviews before I approached them... my mistake. I took a vintage rolex watch to them for the free verbal appraisal and possibly a sale. The clerk clearly had no clue what a rolex master gtm was. She was not interested in serial number or model number instead she asked could she remove the back and and take a look. As I watched her, she did not know how to handle a fine piece she used all her body weight standing atop this watch with some sort of tool, unable to remove the back cover, then she says from across the room did you know your crown is missing I said uhm.. no.. not.. she says well the spring is broken well.. no it was perfectly fine until she bared down on it trying to remove the back that she obviously didnt know how or have the right tools. So, it was handed back to me in pieces and she said.. look at the bezel its not lined up perfectly ... thats because it rotates I tell her she says uhm.. no then she says.. see how the seconds hand is fast ant jerky? I say yeah thats how its supposed to be it has a fast tick not a slow tick she says its a copy because rolex moves smooth with no hesitation and that I need to pay a few hundred dollars to pay to get it certified and fix the broken crown! The crown that was perfectly intact and operational before she attempted to destroy it to look for what I dont know, the serial number and model is hidden behind the band. These watches are selling between $5,000 and $20,000 and little does she know, I did my homework and now have found an experienced jeweler who quotes they pay up to $8,000 for the rolex GMT Master pepsi series and its the serial number and model number that is of the their interest and unfortunately I found them after overmyer jeweler gave me back the watch and had to place it in a baggie because it is now in 2 pieces because of the lack of experience in handling fine pieces.

We have had 2 clocks repaired and very pleased with friendliness of staff and competence of Mr. Overmyer in the repairs. We will go back again if needed.
