I brought my two kids in and we generally had a really good experience. The staff even gave my five-year-old a little activity book to keep him occupied, and when he completes it after several trips coming in, he can earn free items and coupons. I’m giving FoodMaxx four stars because of a few staff members that were less than thrilled to be helping me, or generally oblivious to me wheeling my two kids around, and getting in my way a little bit too often. Generally, the place is clean, organized, and the prices are good. I’ll definitely be coming back.

It has always been a great place to shop but today at about 11:02pm I came in to shop and after shopping I was ready to check out but this Indian guy & Asian lady where just standing there and chatting like they are not seeing me, even when I call on the Indian guy and he respond the lady is coming the keep talking for a while be for coming to check me out. Bad customer service

There must be a nice test to work here. I experienced further proof tonight. Prices continue to be among the lowest I find around Fremont. Also, to show I can whine: Why cant all the sausages get together in peace and harmony in an international section of their own? I see brothers in casings sharing their deliciousness without borders.

This store is spacious and has almost everything I need... this is one of my top 3 stores for grocery shopping in the area.

Cashier wanted to know if I stole the 18-egg-carton past her after she billed it and I paid for it.First time to someone I looked like a shoplifter - sad.That one star is for -1 btw

Ive always wondered where this great place was that people talked about FoodMax.The first time I went there I couldnt stop shopping I wanted to buy more because the prices were good the food stalkers were very friendly and will help you find what you need and theres always several cashiers working so you will get you through the check out in good time.Have a safe day

Terrible grocery I have ever seen! No courtesy at all. Just imagine you say hi to a cashier and seems you are talking to a wall, no hi repalied. You are putting your stuffs very quickly in to your bags and not only anyone helps you but also the cashier keep telling the price you should pay repeatedly since item scanned is done. Not even several second for you to finished packing! Even when I told the store manager what happened, he didnt say anything. Seems it is common behavior at FOODMAX FREMONT, CA. So rude cashiers work there. I have had several bad customer service before today, but this time was the worst. So GOODBYE FOODMAX FOREVER!

Everything is overpriced. I went to this store, Sprouts and Grocery Outlet in one day. Sprouts and Grocery outlet has the same products (sometimes better) for a way cheaper price. I felt like I could have saved about $25 easy if i went to any other store.

Not bad, they usually have good prices on just about everything. The quality of the meat isnt the highest, but if your trying to stay within your budget this is the place to shop.

In the last month, barrier between Produce and aisles has been removed. New freezers have been installed. Looks lot cleaner and inviting now

Friendly service!

Good food selection, but they need more cashiers, especially during this covid19 pandemic... with being 6ft apart the line is very long and sometimes inconvenient and blocking the aisles.

Had what I wanted and open til midnight.

More often then not its busy and the waiting in line at the register feels like it will take forever to get done.

Shop early at 7:15am, store was pretty much empty with only 5 customers. Bought veggies, Fuji apples and bananas.

First time here, just passing by and saw this store. The setup is the same as Food For Less in Las Vegas from where Im at. It is like warehouse style but no membership required. Not sure if this is from the same company. Food For Less closed in Las Vegas.

I love food Maxx. I have been shopping there since it opened. The only complaint I have is sometimes the fruit is flavorless. Otherwise the prices are much better than say Safeway. Thank you Food Maxx.

A bit pricey they tend to lure items that dont sell and raise prices on popular items I am sad really move I was looking for a bargain but as the other sister store to Safeway I should have just went to Safeway

Always come here because its right by my house and convenient but there are few workers who just always seemed as if they hate their job dont greet you when you go to the register or anything

They have redone the store layout. Its much better than before but harder to find stuff for those used to the old one.

Perfect place for grocery

FoodMaxx is my favorite place to buy stuff. It has the cheapest prices in town for anything such as fruits and snacks. When the registers are full theyll open another one. Unlike some other stores. They always keep the floors clean. They have a huge selection of choices for anything you need to buy.

Its not so good compared to other FoodMaxx locations. Its very crowded and small. I prefer the Newark location even though I live practically next door to this one.

Am really disappointed because i come to this foodmaxx all the time since am local in fremont but today i went in i bought a heavy cream and let me say when i got home i was trying to open it and it completely leaked in my kitchen floor am assuming that who ever opens the boxes they use a box cutter well that box cutter went through the box of heavy cream i bought am not making a big deal but i do want to let the manager or owner know so that they can make sure the person stocking doesnt cut through the merchandise because it is being paid for i dont think another customer would want to go home and find their product cut open !!!! Last the lines are super long its not the first time i have walked out of this store leaving behind a cart full of groceries !!!!😒

Great service and, relatively speaking, very good prices. Over last few years, quality of the fruits and veggies has greatly improved (e.g. Vince tomatoes). Finicky self-checkout machines...

They NEVER answer their phones. They ring and ring and eventually it hangs up on you OR they do. I ve also shopped here and heard the phones ring incecently. I don t care how busy you are ANSWER the flippin phone!

This is a nice big store with good quality food and a huge selection. I think there needs to be more security inside and outside. Were fortunate to have a grocery store in our neighborhood that is an affordable alternative to Safeway and Nob Hill.

I love shopping at FoodMaxx, theyve ALWAYS had the best deals around. However when it comes to meat products, you can find lower prices at other places. The rest of your grocery needs are for the right price unlike other grocery stores. Only thing is you have to bag your own groceries which is fine with me cause you cant beat the prices and various selections they have.

I buy the Peerless coffee beans at Food Max. I live in San Jose Ca but the Fremont location has a full selection of flavored coffees. I like good coffee, like the brand and many different kinds to choose from at this location. The San Jose store used to have good selection but cut back on most of the ones I buy. Only about a 20 minute drive so not real far by freeway. My favorite one to blend with others is American Breakfast., mixed with other flavors a good mix. Like Food Max in general for a wide choice in all there items.

As long as you pay attention to prices you can find good deals but if you dont all you think you are saving will disappear. Store was being remodeled so that made it a little hard to move around

I enjoy the reasonable prices, and pretty good selection of produce and good deals on meats. The checkers for the most part are nice. Carts are a lil big but there seems to be plenty of room for folks to not be in each others way

Store brand items are very reasonable. Milk 2 pack was much cheaper than Costco. I would rank this store between Safeway and Smart and Final but for bulk items Smart and Final may be cheaper. The 3 stars because the checkout is so strange. I only use self checkout.

Good food and great deals always been coming here for years

Great prices but long lines and irritating self checkout machine that penalizes you up front for setting your own bags onto the bagging area. Really frustrating. You have to then wait for an employee to ok that you are using your own bags.

The store is fine but the company places machines to save some employees and only puts two cashier employees and the lines of almost an hour ...

Fair prices in general. However, never have enough checkout cashiers...usually only two lines open at any time. Ice cream will start to melt as you wait in the long lines.

Low cost, no frills grocery shopping. They have fresh produce and a staff thats always been friendly and helpful. They periodically have sales that will genuinely surprise me!

24x7 grocery store in the middle of Fremont. You can get Fresh vegetables and fruits anytime. To many items in little space.. bit congested. Bit cheaper compare near by Safeway.
