So I went there to buy a video game and they asked if I wanted to buy one of their warranties. I clearly told her no, to which she gave a disapproved look and then she told me once I opened the game I can’t return it for a full refund. I respond with that’s fine. She then proceeds to add the warranty while I’m distracted with my children. I looked at my receipt and said right away I told her I didn’t want the warranty. She then apologized and said she thought she removed that. No. If I said I didn’t want it, she shouldn’t have put it in the first place. Gabriela then refunded me without saying a word.This isn’t the first time either that GameStop had done this at the Baybrook Mall location. The former manager Jarrod also pulled this stunt multiple times.Just be wary of the people there and check your receipt.

Following Covid-19 Guidelines. Only 5 guests in store at a time. Hand sanitizer by door. Wish there was more in stock, games we wanted they did not have. Think employees tired of telling everyone- you can’t come in, only 5 at a time.

Always a terrible experience. This was the last time I will buy from gamestop due to them really trying to enforce their membership on me. Idk how many times I said no before they took no for an answer. I understand thats their job and all, but still... I dont want your dumb membership. Its a scam. Soooo.... ya. I will stick to ordering games online or pray that my local video game store (not gamestop) has the very few new games I look forward to.

Be sure to check your receipt when you leave. They WILL try to tack on a warranty on anything they can if you arent paying attention. My wife and I almost put our card in the machine before we caught that the employee there added an expensive and un-needed warranty to our purchase. Just a sign of how desperate the store has become.

I bought a game from this gamestop but they didnt have it in stock. They then ordered it online for me and told me I could get it in 2-4 days for extra pricing. I agreed and waited. It didnt come so I checked the website and it said that orders could take 2-3 extra days due to covid. Its been 8 days with no updates at all.

I love gamestop. If you are a pokemon fan they have pokemon cards. The only thing is that they only have new games for the newest xbox and ps. Although I do appreciate them selling pre used games for older models of the xbox or ps.

Turned a game I used once in because i wasnt satisfied with it for how much my paid ($40 for a basically mobile game just with 2 dlcs worth $5 each). I only go $13 worth of credits I couldnt even use the money on something worthy of the pricing. Completely Rips you off, when that game could be re-sold and you wouldnt tell it was used yet it lost over 50% of its value.

This place is always entertaining to walk through. The staff always seems willing to help... In a genuine way, like as if they are itching to help or talk about games. To make it even better, its right next to the food court.

There were games. I stopped. It was everything the sign said it was. Clerk was very well spoken and knowledgeable. He might have been a samurai.

They didnt have cases on the shelf for games they did have in the back, and they didnt have games in the back for cases they had on the shelf. It was kind of annoying.

Staff was rude, son was trying to ask questions and the Gamestop employee acted bothered and short with him. Prices for games are high and the offer made for customers used games is ridiculously low. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Its cool I am surprised video games have come as far as they have, making our kids and lazy. Unfortunately places like this have been abused by selfish parents who rather their kids play video games than play a game of catch with their kids. Our end result is stores like this are thriving and growing like crazy. Dont get me wrong I like to play a video game for about 5 minutes before I have to do something productive.

Eh, honestly its small and crowded. Only really have the newest games which is fine for some however there are plenty of games not yet played. The people are a bit indifferent and are about pushing shows I couldnt care less about. However if your bored I suppose its not a bad place to go.

I tried trading my xbox one here for a switch. It was in good condition because I like taking care of my stuff. This Big Bald Dude employee tried ripping me off. He took my xbox to the other side of the counter where I couldnt see anything and put one of their discs in it and said it didnt work, it wasnt reading. He wanted me to trade in for a cheaper value than what it was advertised. I took it home, tried everything myself with all my games and they all worked. I was upset because most gamestop are over 15 minutes away. I went to the Almeda Location where they treated me way better and actually checked everything out.

Theres a guy whose name is the same as that X-Men character from First Class, Azrael. Hes very helpful and speaks Spanish! There was also a really nice girl there. Her name was the name of a color, Tawney. Both were very friendly.

A while back the husky white man who works the counter asked me for my ID. This wouldn’t have been a problem, except that he was extremely rude and crass about it stating that it’s the “law”. It’s not. ESRB ratings are not a legal age restriction. They are a suggestion. I was buying the TEEN rated Star Wars battlefront 2. I’m a 5’11 220 pound 21 year old who looks nothing like a teen. I usually don’t even get ID’d while purchasing alcohol. He also requested the ID of my girlfriend who is also 21 while claiming I was “buying the game for a minor”. What kind of rude loser tries to leverage the “power” of selling video games? I have had wonderful experiences at the store just outside the mall and the one on Bay Area Blvd. The employees at the Bay Area location, especially the employee with dreadlocks, are very knowledgeable and kind. Go there instead.In short, the employees here are incredibly rude and misinformed. Go to any other GameStop in the area and they will treat you like an adult with respect.

Great customer service. The Gamestop worker name Ryan is very knowledgeable with the games and their background. He was helpful, and made it easy to decide between the two games I was comparing. Both Ryan and his coworker are also very friendly.

You buy games for all relevant consoles and can sell them back for pesos on the dollar. It is an antiquated business model and is soon to join Blockbuster in the graveyard of non-adaptive franchise models.

You guys lost a PowerUps customer today. Its absolutely ridiculous that theres 4 GameStops in this area and only 1 treats my like an actual person and not an ATM. Zero nice things to say about the Bay Area Blvd. GameStops. You guys are less than trash with the way you treat people.

I went here on a weekend there was no one on the floor, I usually dont shop at this mall but I was in the area . I wal moon ed around for a little to see what Funko Pops they had which was nothing of interest and the store was so trashed I just walked out.The store looked either understaffed for a mid-evening shift cause their should have been someone on the floor cleaning, greeting customers, & getting sales on none game sales.

Unlike other places, they close at the time they say. My brother needed a headset for his ps4 because he had broken his earlier that day. I didnt know they closed at 9 until I got the store ( i was coming out from Wal-Mart when my brother asked me pick up headphones) and hoped their doors would still be open. They were, and the staff greated me in a friendly manner instead of annoyed like other stores employees. It was a quick purchase but im glad they didnt close the door on my face (it has happened before). Great staff 👍

The girl that works in the store is really cool and she knows her games. idk maybe she was being nice cause she wanted the D...oh well.

I was next in line aftr waiting like forever for the person being attended, but cashier said another person( off to th side) was next. That was unfair! So more waiting..like another 15 mins for that person. Finally, my turn ..my transaction took 3 mins at th most...overall wait for being th 3rd customer was 35-40 mins. If it wasnt my sons birthday and a particular item here, i wouldv left at th point cashier attended other person instead of me.
