Nice place for buying, renting and servicing musical instruments. One stop for all your musical needs!
Rent clarinet, after sale service and yearly services are goodThey provide satisfactory instrument services .No issue as a 2 years customer
I would recommend somewhere else for repair services. This place is fine for buying neck straps and reeds (I play saxophone) but I would not trust my horn with them again. I paid $380 for a re-pad and they did just as much damage as good. Their cleaning solution bleached all of the plastics (thumb hooks) and rusted my blue anodized springs so now those are gritty and black. The pads they used are cheap and the horn now has sticky spots that I have to figure out and solve each time I play it. I could go on but I wont. This place is not the repair shop for horns. Retail only if necessary. (also, I brought these issues up with the owner and he gave me the cold shoulder saying they did nothing wrong)
The experience was great in the beginning. However, when I inquired about paying off the instrument, and realized they had initially charged me almost double the price I could have bought the instrument at outright, I asked to speak to someone at the corporate office. FIVE MONTHS later, multiple calls each month, and even calls and messages to their owner Andre, I have still not heard back from this business. I am still paying monthly as they have no problem taking my money, but do not have the decency to return a phone call. Frisco Residents, do not use this music store for your childs instrument rental unless you want to pay a fortune and be ignored when you have questions or concerns.
They have great school programs that sometimes function on the college level. Very fair and cheap prices for rentals.
This store has provided both instruments and service for my sons musical instruments through the years. They have been wonderful and helpful in every way. I cannot give a big enough recommendation to these folks! Theyre great!
If you try to return something good luck. When I bought the stuff for my son they got that money instantly. I returned one of the items and been over 10 working days and still no refund at my bank. I hate to go to small claims court over 70 bucks but I will if they dont get my refund processed soon.
Why do I love Williamson Music first? Because Its a great place to work.
I have been renting a tuba from them for the last year. It seems to be a very organized clean store with good customer service.
Awesome friendly staff!
Great except for those lines during the first few weeks of school
We had an okay first year for a rental instrument for beginning band with this company. Im not sure internally what is amiss in the company, but it has gone downhill quickly. The first year our used rental instrument did have to be in the shop quite a lot, but they were good about fixing it and providing us with a back up instrument in the process. This second year, we are again having trouble with the instrument. We called and told them we wanted to go up a level and rent a new instrument. They told us the wait would be months long. We said okay, then can we do a different used instrument. Again, the wait would would months. They have none in stock. Um....perhaps its time to grow your stock???In the meantime, our instrument needs to go into the shop to have repairs done. Our son cant even pass off the basic objectives with the sounds his instrument is currently making. Our private tutor suggested us taking it to a third party in Denton to get worked on (more out of pocket money for us). Finally, we had to get ugly to get a replacement instrument to get his worked on. You shouldnt have to get ugly to get basic as promised customer service.I wish we wouldnt have started with this company. As is, weve invested over $500 in a rent to own instrument and I feel stuck. If you havent started the process yet, save yourself some grief and look elsewhere for a rental.
Weve been here twice since we moved here and these guys are great. Very knowledgeable as well of useful information regarding the school programs.
Extreamly poor service. For any problem in instrument, they expect to wait for technitian to be available, expect instruments to leave with them for 2-3 weeks and they wont give a loaner instrument. They dont have answer to what will happen to 3 weeks of school or any persoanl training classes. Not sure what is the benefit of having a service plan or insurance on the instrument when they offer such a bad SLA. I guess I made a mistake by renting a instrument from them.
First time in. The repairs to my daughters flute were minor and they fixed it while I waited. It only took 10 minutes. Great service.
Quick and exceptional service every time we need to stop in.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff... made they fitted my daughter for the correct size instrument and took care of everything she needed for her orchestra class
Cool music shop on Main. Helpful staff and large selection of instruments and supplies. I will be back!
They were very helpful in store.
Great guys and great service period just really hard to get in and out of with parking and the traffic
My wife took an older violin that was given to her by her uncle that needed work. My wife had Carol quote her at $175 (or less) to get the violin in the proper shape to play. My wife was weary because of the cost, but she was told they would take their time to fix it so she could wait and pay. Now, several weeks later, they call her and tell her its ready and the cost is $295?! The guy that called said he saw the note showing the quote of $175 but there were a lot of other repairs made, without our knowledge, that brought the price up. That is extremely shady business! He apologized and said that he just had the same thing happen with his car. Really? Last time I checked a repair shop cannot due any repairs above the original quote without approval first. There is now a violin that was a gift that we will likely never see again because Carol decided to due a bunch of work we never agreed to. Shameful.
I got scammed. payed around $2,000 for sax worth $300-600 be careful with this business
Had a mouthpiece I couldnt find anywhere else so my kid didnt have to wait for Amazon to deliver to start practicing on the mouthpiece her band teacher requested all the trumpets use. Also got advice on a sticky valve.
Honest, good prices and great repair department.
