Great pizza, delicious beer and cocktails. Bartender did amazing with the lemon martinis, I had more than 2.. lol. Went on horror trivia night. Trivia was a fun, and the trivia host(sorry girl, didn’t catch your name) was super sweet and very interactive. Definitely would drive an hour again to hang with this crowd.

First time visiting Aviator. A friend of mine recommended the visit and the food and service didnt disappoint. It was not busy and the wait was minimal. The environment is rustic and open. Prices not too bad either. I have read some of the other reviews. I understand exactly what you mean about finding people willing to work. Im glad to see you guys survived 2020 and wish you good luck in the future.

We want to love it and keep trying! There’s such amazing potential with this place, and the pizza oven is top notch.As you can see from photos though, we end up with burned pizzas a lot. This is simple QC. There needs to be a manager on staff that won’t let a pizza like this leave back of house.

Fun experience. Beautiful weather allowed outdoor seating. Large group with several children. The adults were able to enjoy themselves while the kids were entertained with the checkers & corn hole.Service was awesome and food was spot on. Service was quick even thought they were busy.I will definitely be back.Highly recommend the October beer.

We had the Buffalo chicken pizza, which was amazingly good. We also had the Big Boy calzone and it was very good. It was filled all the way to the edge and the crust was very flavorful.

First visit was super nice. Server was attentive and friendly pizza was very crisp and fresh. Not NY pizza but a solid pizza none the less. Outdoor seating available with small fires.

We liked Aviator Pizza, but I dont see it as a place Ill come back to very often unless trying to feed a lot of people. While clean and friendly, it had rather loud music, and the focus seemed to be on the brewery and not so much the pizzeria. It felt like a bar that decided they want to also offer pizza instead of just bar food. What we ordered the 6 Jumbo Wings (pictured), a calzone, Meat-a-Palooza, Crash & Burn, Margherita, and BBQ Chicken White (we had family visiting). Everybody got soft drinks as well.The most important question: did either of us yummy giggle? No, but that doesnt mean it wasnt decent pizza. It just wasnt blow my mind or my taste buds.Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (good)Cost: $12-$15 eachKid-friendly: yes, however Im not used to bars letting kids sit AT the bar, and that was REALLY weird to see. We had a table near the windows.Onto the review!Neither of us tried the calzone, so I cant comment on it. The wings were ok, they were a sweet BBQ sauce, tender, but dry and the flavor didnt penetrate the meat. My husband had the Crash & Burn, and thought it was good. In fact, all the pizzas were good. There was a lot that struggled though. The crust was a little too thin and the points of my slices kept dipping. In addition, the semolina flour on the crust was quite bitter in almost every bite. I didnt like whatever was their ground sausage on the Meat-a-Palooza, but the other parts were good.The kids ate their pizza just fine though, so that passes the picky eaters test!Overall a fine place to bring people if youre feeding a crowd, but I will be looking for other places first. Price per meal was average for a pizzeria, I am not sure it was worth it. I would also appreciate quieter music so I can actually hear people on the other end of the table.My highlight: none.Husbands highlight: none.

Love this place ! I go there often with my family. The kids live the 10 personal brick oven pan pizzas. They have great wings, black mamba sauce is my favorite. They have cocktails and beers to enjoy . The open space where my kids play the giant tic tac toe game and corn hall is the best feature.

We love aviator and the vibe of this spot. We also enjoy the pizza, most of the time. My lower rating is based on my pick-up experience the past 3 times I have ordered over the past few months. Each time I order via ChowNow because it’s super simple and we love getting to customize our pizzas. Once my order got completely lost, once I called to try and cancel since I was told it would be over an hour (it was a Friday so I understand the wait just didn’t want to wait that long) and I was told they could not cancel it, and the third I showed up at the 45 minute pickup time I was given and my pizzas had been done for almost 30 mins so they were cold. While I want to blame this on ChowNow I order from other establishments with no problem. With two of the experiences I was offered a free soda while I waited but I just want it documented so some changes can be made because we really want to continue coming here especially as restrictions are eased and it’s right down the road from our home.EDIT: Management reached out acknowledging the issues and gave some background info for what happened. Assured they have worked to better their customer experience and we are excited to go back and try some more delicious pizza and brews. Adding a photo because as previously mentioned their stuff is good!

The place reminds me like a higher end Blaze Pizza. You walk up to the counter and order the pizza. At that point you go sit down and wait for pizza to be made. You can order different type of beers as well. There is someone who is a waiter/waitress that will check in on you every so often but for the most part it is self serve. The pizza itself was very good and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Differently a place to lay back and hang out.

The Aviator empire continues to impress. Anyone who visited the bottle shop prior to the remodel will be amazed at the difference. While there is still a wide selection of cans and bottles to take home, the bar also offers crowlers of your favorite Aviator brews on tap, including seasonal offerings that are not typically canned. But its the pizza oven that steals the show. The company mark is proudly displayed across the wood oven and for good reason. The pizzas are delicious and the wood fire sets the taste apart from other local offerings. Share a couple signature pies with friends or eat an entire custom 12 pie like I just did. The staff is incredibly friendly and treats you like one of their own. My family and I will definitely be back. Great job on this new venture.

Service was a bit slow on a Friday afternoon. We were the only pizza ticket and it took a little over 20 minutes to get our two pizzas. We watched them make it.I worked in a regional pizza chain in New England for 4 years training managers how to make pizza for a district of 12 stores. The pizza chefs at Aviator need some training. There were multiple shells stretched and left uncovered on a rack and our pizzas had copious amounts of burnt (what resembled) semolina on the underside and crust which leaves a very bitter taste. One of the chefs who made one of our pizzas, lifted it up and threw a giant handful right underneath before moving it in front of the oven.As for the pizza itself, it has a lot of potential. The crust was decent but a little dry (possibly from being left out and uncovered for who knows how long) from what I could taste over the burnt semolina. The cheese was good, but the red sauce really, really needs some help. It is overpowering and overspiced and a little disappointing - it more resembles a marinara than a pizza sauce.Price was pretty high for the quality of pizza we received.e: What an incredible response....Now, bear with me here, just imagine that it is possible someone can eat at a restaurant and leave a review of the same restaurant on separate days. We ate here the two Fridays prior to this review. I had high hopes for this place because the BBQ next door is phenomenal and this area is a little lacking for great pizza. Big Sergios is more than worth the trip.

We wanted to like this. Got 2 pizzas. Mine looked like a flatbread in the shape of a “pizza” and was definitely over cooked and not sliced all the way through. There was no crust, it was all just melded into one. Came out without its sauce and toppings were super uneven to the point of piles of banana peppers in 1/4 of the pizza and practically nothing on the rest. The other pizza looked better but wasn’t cut well either and a bit too crispy from being over cooked a bit. Had a sub as well at our table and it came out dripping wet on the bottom. Bread was a bit thick and dense. It was a nice portion which was nice. Food came out slower but we’ve found that Aviator in general during the week days doesn’t seem to have great service.

We came to Aviator Tap last night originally but it was a mess they didn’t have a manager to be found at all and we asked for one did not order food because multiple tables angry from what my family and I saw so we decided to go over across the street to the pizza place! Wow kudos to the staff at first the manager looked like he was running a lot but said hello and made us feel at home Abby our server was wonderful she really was great even that she told us she was new ! We came in later in the night but the kitchen was open so it was great, they did have a issue with our wings order but the manager was all over it thank you the beers was so good but the server did get 2 of them wrong from what we order but no biggie it was corrected so we will be back.

Food was excellent... warning.. if you order an appetizer of nachos.. be prepared to bring your meal home in a box. It was huge !! And delicious... my new favorite restaurant.

The Aviator establishments have always had poor service but we have continued to visit for the past couple of years because its convenient. This last visit to the Pizza and Beer Shop will be the last.  We ordered a side salad and wings to start.  After waiting an hour, we asked where it was and it finally came out.  We also ordered pizza.  It was at least an hour and a half to get our pizza.  Once again we had to ask where our pizza was. I know a lot of restaurants are struggling to find help right now but this was not the case.  There was a group that walked in and ordered 5 pizzas and got their pizzas within 15 minutes which was an hour after we ordered our pizza that we had still not received.

My go-tos pizza & beer are superb here, but theres so much else to choose from

Nice place. Good variety. Helpful staff. My two boys (adults) and I each had a flight of Irish Whiskey for St. Patricks celebration. It did not disappoint.UPDATE 2021Theyve expanded, and the place is fabulous. They took over the old store next door, then built an excellent outdoor pavilion. Ive not tried the wood oven pizza yet, but they did an excellent job.

By far the coolest place to be in fuquay. Rebekah & nick are easily the best servers in the place. Highly recommend. Great food, great service, & most importantly… great beer!!!

I visited this restaurant twice.January 2021: Restaurant was dead and it took forever for our order of one pizza to arrive. Seriously a long time.February 2021: Restaurant was busy and again it took forever for our order to arrive and items were missing. They missed a pizza and missed an order of wings. They wings never came because they didnt have them. This should have been communicated to us earlier in the evening.We had the same server on both visits and the server was working extremely hard. Something is going on with the operations/management. The party that I was with was chill about it and understanding considering we are in a pandemic and assumes everyone is doing their best. I would have appreciated better communication and the manager to stop by our table. Not all customers are going to make a fuss, theyre just not going to come back.Overall, the food and drinks are fine, but the place isnt being well managed.

We ordered Crash & Burn and Buffalo Chicken Pizzas for delivery. Pizzas were spicy and delicious with fresh toppings. Not too much sauce. We should have order their homemade beers along with pizzas. Highly recommend. We love it

Great pizza!!! Slow service with lots of employees walking around with only a total of six customers other then myself. was not Greeted for 10min employees socializing at the bar. Server was slow as well she took another ten minutes to comeback with drinks. All to busy gossiping I guess. Manager break-up the area when they hang out. Its not a pleasant experience for the customer 😕. thank you.

Came to Aviator because my cousin said to give it a shot and it was well deserved thank you guys! We only came for beers but after meeting Charity, Elroy and Daniel it was so great we order pizzas a subs and wings and it was fantastic not to mention the drinks omg!!!

Highly disappointed. We went last Saturday night and sat at a table after being seated for close to 20 minutes before being approached. Finally we were asked about drinks. I ordered a Mountain Dew and for a Baja Blast which I don’t even like. We ordered food and waited another 30 minutes. Never got plates, napkins, silverware until we asked and never got a refill. They took my glass to refill it and never brought it back. The gentleman brought our ticket and I gave him my card and he also took the table beside us at the time card too. When he returned he gave the other customer my card and thankfully that customer was honest and gave him back the card. When he came up to the table he used profanity and said he has charged my card wrong. He left the table with my card in hand again and charged me for the entire ticket. So now he’s charged me twice for drinks that I never got a refill on. He said that he’d refund me later. Never did I receive a refund. On Wednesday I called and I spoke to another gentleman who said it was his last day on the job, “that this place has gone down hill” and someone would call me before end of the day. No one has yet to call me or refund me. For a first timer, aviator doesn’t seem like a place I would want to come back too.

Great Date on a Monday!5 Star Service with the assistant manager Kevin keeping us company. Kevin made us feel included in our new Fuquay Varina residency and hes a large part as to why well be regulars.Best pizza weve had in the triangle since relocating. Most authentic to a coastal pizza.Only ding was that the smoked wings took a while to come out and not all of the beers featured on the menu were on tap hence overall 4 stars. However very tasty and we cant wait to come back. Food was great service was even better.

Worst experience...twice! This is the second time we have eaten here. First time we waited an hour and half for our food, our tickets were wrong, and our drinks were wrong. Second time food took over 2 hours. The manager tried to make it right but it was too late. We were starving and tired of waiting and left. We will not be returning.

The pizza was delicious (get the mac n cheese pizza with side of Buffalo sauce 😋) and my server Rebekah was phenomenal! Will definitely be back and will be requesting Rebekah!

Food was just okay. Service was just okay. Only 2 staff members wearing masks. Clearly, they dont care about their customers. How do they know who may be immunocompromised? They put that persons life in danger because they only care about themselves. Incredible. Went to the pizza shop last night. My friends and I go there quite often. The BBQ chicken white pizza is amazing along with a few others. The wings are a little pricey but really good. Theres a larger variety of beers now then there has been in the past at the bottle shop. A little something for everyone. Family friendly

Zero management. Ordered a small pizza and a beer in hopes to leave in 45 minutes on a SLOW Tuesday night. Going on over an hour and watching a staff of 10 run around with 20 ppl eating food. Wait staff isn’t bad but obviously have zero direction from management. Management.. you’re employees deserve better..

Walked in with my wife last night 6/22 shortly after 9pm to order a pizza and drink a beer. Was told the kitchen was shut down already. Are you open until 10 or not? If youre not going to make food until 10 then why not close at 9? Its a shame when you want to give a local business your money only to find they arent interested in taking it. What a joke.

All of the employees will keep passing you by if you do not look like them (color). Been here twice for Doordash and it took 5 to 10 minutes for them to take my order, after making eye contact with me and asking the other people who look like them and came after me if they needed help. And I watch 1 people pick stuff off a pizza and serve it. SMH

Was hesitant to try it here after a negative experience at another aviator location. We tried and had a great experience. Ended up planning a get together for my husbands birthday. Mike was amazing and extremely accommodating especially given Covid times and maintaining precautions. We had our own area and were extremely happy with the service. Mike went above and beyond what was expected. Will definitely be back. Thanks Mike for a great experience!

1 hour and 15 minutes into ordering and we’ve just been made aware our order is next to be cooked. I hope this pizza is worth the wait. Our waitress has been kind but there are serious logistics needing to be worked out in the kitchen.

Had John as my server. He was on point. Beer glass was never empty. Beer and pizza was good as it always is.

Josh is an amazing beer seeker! There is always a good amount of new and exciting beer to try. Doug is by far my favorite bar tender. There is a good 8 taps, usually half Aviator one-offs and interesting brews from around the east coast. Good little gem for Fuquay, worth a stop in for sure.

I know it was a busy night for them, but we waited over an hour for two pies, wings, and cheesy bread. I didn’t really see no sense of urgency from the cooks in the back, who were all high school kids, and no management. Super sad cuz when they first opened the food was awesome. At least our server was nice!

Brick oven pizza was delish! Love the cheesesticks! Was understaffed when we went but the staff that was there was very nice. ROOFTOP BAR!!!! Rooftop bar was so nice with fans and tvs! Cant wait to go back, especially in the fall!!!!

We were the only ones there and it was still really slow. Also, it was kind of uncomfortable with the lack of masks on the employees. When we finally did get our food it wasnt bad, however I cant imagine coming back until they start taking the health of their customers into consideration. Its a shame because I used to really like Aviator.

Have gone here so many times and have continued to go back but after tonight it’ll be a while. This was our 2nd option after we tried the 1st location and didn’t get service. Literally not even packed and didn’t get a server, drinks, food, or silverware for at least 40 mins. Once we got the food they forgot half of it. Won’t be going back anytime soon which is unfortunate with the weather getting nice.

Service was where?? Not there tonight-- we were a table of 9 took order received pizza and drinks --no return -- ghosted -- went to bar to order more drinks. Will not be back -- if u dont have people for service shut some of the resturant down!! Will never return!!

I absolutely love Aviator. Our weekly favorite is the white chicken barbeque pizza! We go almost every weekend! They also have amazing selection a brews.

I was here picking up a pizza and watched the pizza maker stand back take off his hat, and rub his face, then go back to making pizza. NOT WEARING GLOVES and never washed his hands. He proceeded to grab the cheese and spread them on the pizzas. WOW!!!!! Thank god the pizza I picked up wasnt mine. Never ate here and never will.

I was surprised by how delicious their pizzas are!! I got 2 pizzas and a pack of Porters for $22!!!

Normally I would have nothing bad to say but: Sunday Brunch is not a brunch. Its a selection of 12 breakfast pizza. Not even individual size. Bloody Mary bar?? Just two sizes. Nothing brunch about it. Will stick to the wings.

We ordered two pizzas and were disappointed by both. The cheese, crust and sauce needs improvement. To top it off, the bartender and several of the staff who were responsible for making the pizza were either not wearing a mask or not wearing it properly. The man who was making the pizza wore his mask under his nose and the bar tender kept her make down the entire time. Lastly, people were walking to the rest room with a mask on.

Larger group met outside on the patio and the wait staff and manager took care of us when the kitchen got backed up. Thanks Aviator Crew for care of your community and being transparent with the kitchen.
