I really enjoyed my time at The Mill. For starters, their coffee is really good quality with great/quick service. Personally, I got an iced mocha which was extremely good. Another great part is the atmosphere of the shop. There is a downstairs and an upstairs section which are both extremely cute. There are tables all around to work both upstairs and downstairs. It is a perfect to stop by in the afternoon and get some work done. Finally, there is also a bar which is downstairs. I did not try any, however, it also follows this cute and great atmosphere vibe.

The Mill is our local watering hole for my husband and I. We love it there so much, we buy gift cards for new neighbors who move into our neighborhood so they immediately have a nice local place to enjoy.

Great hand crafted coffee drinks, wine, and over a dozen taps of NC beer. They remodeled an old downtown store into a cool, vintage, and airy place to get drinks and socialize.They have the best selection of NC ‘crafts on draft’ in town.**Check their daily specials** and they bring in food trucks all the time (FB).Their weekly live music is a fantastic and intimate session with local musicians.

This is the best place. Great specials, cool space, and great bartenders. Highly recommend!

Amazing atmosphere and staff!!

Yesterday I went into the Mill, but was told I had to throw out my smoothie, because no outside food was allowed into the Mill. I explained to the gentleman that I purchased my smoothie right across the street at the bakery the owner ALSO owned. He said no exceptions. No wonder the Mill is hurting for business when they can’t see past their own nose to understand what is ACTUALLY good for business. I won’t be back and purposely didn’t spend any money in the Mill after that happened.

Quality as always! Comparable prices to any decent coffee, with quality coffee and service. I love the atmosphere here and go out of my way to visit weekly. If youre looking for a quick cup, or a cold beer, this is the perfect spot.

I met a friend there to help her study for a big licensing exam. We tried going to the library but they arent allowing people to stay longer than 30min at a time. I got a scone and some coffee and it wasnt so busy it was loud and uncomfortable. This was a nice option and they had a nice atmosphere.

Local place with great service and coffee options. Not the best study location, but excellent for enjoying a nice coffee or espresso beverage. A bar is also on premises, and the time of day may have been part of the reason for louder than optimal setting for studying or reading. A great social location, so glad Fuquay-Varina has a location like this.

Went here with my wife and family, service was great. Drinks were very good and a great selection as well. One of the kegs tapped out on a pour so the drink was free! Clean environment and they even have a little coffee bar at the entrance. Don’t miss out!

This is one of my favorite places to get Americanos in Fuquay Varina. They sell Joe Van Gogh coffee by the bag as well which is nice to have that option close by.The staff here is always friendly and pleasant to speak with.

I have tried visiting 4 separate times before feeling resigned enough to review. The newest barista is rude enough that I will not be back. While the drinks are good, if you are visiting with your children, you’ll find better service at Stick Boy across the street. Bonus, wider dessert selection too :) I sure won’t spend my money where any group with kids is obviously unwanted, no matter who quiet and well behaved. I brought my laptop to work one day here For half an hour and I was treated much differently.I have been visiting since this place opened so I’m sad to write how things have changed.

Chill place to hang either for work, study and get togethers. There are usually tables available upstairs if there aren’t any downstairs. Free WiFi and plenty of plugs available as well.Go to spot if needing to get out of the house for work, study, etc.

Some of staff is uptight and is constantly checking to make sure that you have a drink in hand and if you don’t then they ask you to leave. They are very rude, have no customer service and they talk down to you. Beware of the lady with the longer dark hair.

I came to The Mill to study for a quiz, based on a recommendation from my school. I was not even here for five minutes before the manager, Ann, started singing (and by singing, I mean yelling at the top of her lungs). She was so loud that the person sitting at my table next to me couldnt hear me talk over her singing. When we asked her to quiet down a little (AKA to please not yell) because we were trying to study, she said This is a bar. There is a time and place to study, and this is not it., and was extremely rude. After we asked her to quiet down, her singing got even louder (I truly didnt think that was possible), and every chance she got, she would change words to songs to be rude. Example: she changed man, I feel like a woman to man, I feel like a bartender. I am truly appalled by the hostile environment Ann created, and will definitely let my classmates know to not use The Mill as a study environment in the future.

Love this place. Its a cool chill hangout for beer or coffee with friends or alone and has great working space. They have great selections of both. The ambiance and decor is quite nice. The beer people are always friendly but coffee attendant is not so outgoing.

This place is amazing. After never hearing of the Mill, we popped in on a Friday night for a couple of drinks. They had an 80s cover band playing all the best tunes and played any requests. Everyone in the bar was jamming along, friendly, and down right just having a good time.This was a dream bar for sure. If you like great live music, a friendly atmosphere, a great staff that is very interactive, good beer from miscellaneous breweries, and a good time...... this is the place.My new favorite spot.

It’s a decent place to study for a little bit. The chairs are hard wood and steel upstairs so it makes getting comfortable a challenge. Additionally, the drinks are overpriced for what they are. I asked for a chai tea and it was poured out of a premixed store bought carton with store bought almond milk and then charged me $5 for it. Not impressed.They do have decent happenings going on, however, so if you’re looking for a place to connect with friends and have some craft beer then this is your place.

Love this place and the decor is cool. The staff especially Anna, are fantastic! Great beer and wine selection. Very good coffee. Live music is good but not an ideal set up for acoustics. Owe it to yourself to check this place out!

Standard bar/restaurant style food of good quality. Nothing that I constantly think of when hungry but I have yet to have anything bad from this establishment. Not a huge fan of the mason jar glass gimmick. It means the glasses are smaller but that is a low impact negative. Might be above a 4 but not enough to round to 5.

Exposed brick and timber give this place a warm atmosphere. Staff was super friendly. Loft seating is a great place to break out the laptop and work. Only had a coffee but it was good. Will be back.

I love going here to study. I was here nearly everyday in July and made several purchased everyday. However, the owner is incredibly rude, has a terrible attitude and is condescending. Honestly, if she was there the first day that I went, I may have never came back. Dont let the rude owner scare you away, but just dont be surprised. Great place to study otherwise or have a drink.

This place is pure chill! We came on a Friday night, they had a guest food truck and a bluegrass band. A great mixed crowd enjoying craft beer or a coffee. The beer selection rotates so there is always something new till try. I enjoyed a Fat Tire and a Trophy coffee porter.

Im usually here fir drinks and special events only. I like the atmosphere and the staff is always nice. My only problem is that their beer selection usually doesnt have any dark beers on draft. They seem to be hoppy heavy on their selections.

Have been to the Mill for both coffee and beer. They have a nice casual atmosphere with comfy couches in the coffee bar, great espresso! The tap room is a little stark and I never look forward to the semi-comfortable barstools, but great service and craft beers always win the day. There are several restaurants very close by and you are welcome to carry in or have food delivered. Overall a great spot for something quick and casual in a great spot in downtown Fuquay.

This coffee shop/bar is awesome. What a brilliant idea. Their coffee is really really good and a good spot to sit and get some work done or just hang out. I will be going back.

Good slower atmosphere. Music at level you can talk. Never tried the coffee. Good beer selection. No food though. But sometimes have food trucks and can bring in food. Ill be honest I come in here all the time. But my only complaint is the bartenders and servers will be nice and fun and say Hi when you come in. But after they group together at the end of the bar and talk to each other and ignore the whole line until a glass is empty. I really think I theyd be a big hit if they paid more attention to the customers. They should really be doing anything like that off the floor.

What a great place! As soon as you walk in you know its going to be good. The decor is something straight out of HGTV and the coffee is fantastic. They even have a bar in the back! Comfy and cozy. A gem in Fuquay!

I am a fan of the Mill. I love downtown businesses in general because they contribute to the the vitality of the town. They create place where the community gathers, neighbors meet, and where an identity is created where people are proud to be from. The Mill is the epitome of this for Fuquay Varina. I never feel unwelcome in this establishment and I look forward to seeing friends every time I am here. I consider Tuesday the highlight of my week where I can see my friends Thomas, Charissa and Anna. If you are looking for a cup of coffee to enjoy with friends and family, live music and food trucks on the weekend or are looking to be refreshed by their diverse selection of 20 beers on tap, The Mill is where it is at! I love the Mills atmosphere. It can be busy, however the bartenders and baristas are always nice, and continually offer great service. All of the drinks are also great.

Easily my favorite coffee shop in the area. Great open inside and very well lit. Two floors of seating including a small lounge in the main room. Coffee is always superb and the staff is very kind and will talk to you as long as you want. A+ shop and would recommend to anyone coming through the area.

The coffee is good, not great. Having said that, the atmosphere and staff make it my favorite place to go when I just want to sit back and chill with a coffee and maybe a snack from Stick Boy bakery. If youre not into coffee, they do have a bar for wine and beer. The WiFi is also a plus. I go here often - love this place.

Im new to the area. I love the feeling of The Mill. Its a great place to meet people or get a little work done. Ive only gotten very good coffee and a very tasty snack or two. And the servers are very warm & welcoming.

I love The Mill. When my wife and I moved in from out of town, this is where we went to meet people. We found a Meetup group that meets there every other week. The staff is always friendly. The beverages are fantastic, especially the hot chocolate. Great place to relax and enjoy the company of other friendly people.

I really enjoy this coffee shop. Its always clean, smells wonderful and the staff are so nice. I highly recommend the butter coffee, just drink it before 3pm because it has a kick.

Saturday night, three friends and I went to The Mill to listen to Heather Kenney play and sing. (Wow! She was a treat!) This is a very cool place. Our group had beer, wine, coffee and hot chocolate. All at a very decent price. The atmosphere was wonderful. Very laid back. Nice, pleasant staff. They let you bring food in so we got dinner elsewhere and took our desserts here. I liked the upstairs room but it would have been nice to have a little more seating downstairs so as to be closer to the musician. In all, this is a wonderful place to chill out with friends. We will definitely be back.
