Worst boat ever! Do not buy from them! Weve had ours for less than a month. Already had to repair a crack on the outside and now more inside! Have used it 4 times and this should not be happening. When you spend almost $10k on a boat you dont expect to have to do so many repairs in so little time. Not to mention before we could even use it we had to file down the metal spurs where the outriggers go into. Thankfully the delivery guy warned us of that bc they dont fit otherwise. There is a reason this place doesnt accept returns... If they did everyone would be returning their boats. I have never been more disappointed in any purchase in my life than I am with this boat... Heed my advise and get yours from somewhere else.
We recieved our Heritage 18 delivered yesterday and took it out for a maiden row. It is a fantastic boat. Working with Little River Marine was a pleasure. Hard-working people with a great product.
Very happy with my purchase of 15ft Heritage Classic. Moreover, the Company stands by its products 100%. I had a minor repair issue four months after purchase. They immediately picked up the boat, made a repair, and re-delivered it within days at no charge.
I purchased a Heritage 18 rigged for two rowers in September 2006. I had tried a few of the lighter weight shells before having a demonstration with this boat. Now I have rowed in it about 300 times, more than1,000 miles, on many different lakes and rivers over the years. It is very stable in choppy water although it does catch a fair amount of wind, like most boats. I have been out in the St Lawrence Seaway next to huge freighters. I am comfortable in winds of 10 to 13 mph, as long as I can either face the wind or row with the wind (can be dicey if you get turned sideways.) I made my own safety rope ladder and mounted it on the rear for a dry re-entry from swimming, or in case of emergency. The equipment has been quite reliable although I have replaced the roller wheels in both of my sliding seats twice. With heavy people this could be a bigger problem. (I am 6 2, and 190 lbs.) While generally problem-free, the most problematic issue has been sheared off mounting screws on the oar bracket mounts -- not a simple thing to fix where they screw deep into the fiberglass shell. But with an ample six screws on each bracket, I have never had the entire bracket fail. If you travel very far offshore, I do recommend getting rigging (and extra hardware) for two rowers, if only so you can switch rowing positions if you do have a hardware failure. My boat has held up well with little maintenance. The yellow color is just now fading a bit after ten years.
I am extremely happy with my new Heritage.
I purchased the Heritage 15 with oars and accessories for around $6900.00 directly from Little River Marine. I did my research and thought because of the price I was getting a beautiful boat that was also constructed well but after a few months of moderate use I started having problems. The first was a hollow spot near the dry storage that began to chip away. I was also having excessive wearing from the clogs inside the boat. These issues I could live with but when the bench split underneath me while rowing on the intracoastal I started to get concerned. I returned the boat to them and they warrantied the repairs and all was good for a month or so until I had a screw shear off in the oar bracket deep into the fiberglass. Keep in mind the boat was not even 6 months old at this point. I was upset and emailed them but never received a reply. I sold the boat last week at a discounted price because I no longer felt safe with it in ocean currents and the conditions I like to row in. My conclusion is nice to look at and if you only use it a few times a year youll be fine.
This place sucks people very disrespectful go somewhere else .
