Had an appointment for an eye exam and waited 30 minutes. There were to associates in the building at the time helping other customers. No one addressed me to ask if I needed any help. Two other customers walked in the door. One of the associates addressed the two customers quickly and showed them where to get an eye exam. I left and will not return.

I did an eye exam and bought lenses and a swiss frame there two years ago. The employees and manager there are great. The eye exam was easy and I have loved the glasses. A screw fell out recently and went in for some help getting them back together and they fixed them as good as new. They are the best!

Absolutely Terrific. I walked in and was seeing a specialist within minutes. He ran a number of tests and was courteous and informative as to what he was doing. Then on to the doctor for the official exam via the Internet. He was very fast and efficient. They concluded they could not improve on my prescription and told me there was no charge. Holy Toledo. An organization with integrity. I’m in love.

Bought 2 Pairs in TX December 2019, moved to FL in the 2020, they were so helpful in accommodating my 1 year warranty even at a different store for one of the frames. Recently, my 2 year sat on them and broke both hinges. Though the warranty was already used/expired, I am happy to re-purchase the same frames. Great Glasses! Great Prices! Great Customer Service!

I was helped by Ryan, who my mom recommended. And I am terribly picky about my glasses in so many ways and this wonderful, hard working man walked around the entire store with me 4 times and picked out every style I loved and was spotting glasses I liked before I saw them. He not only got me a amazing deal that was under my budget he picked extra features for my glasses that will help me with my day to day life style. This was hands down the best eye glass experience I have had in over 5 years and I am so thankful my mom recommended Ryan and I will continue to drive over an hour to come back here for all of my eye needs.

I just had an exam done here and I was really impressed with the customer service . I wish I got the name of the man who helped me but both of the gentlemen working were really nice. I didn’t realize til posting this but I was there right at close, I didn’t feel rushed at all! It was a teledoc which was a new experience for me, but communication was crystal clear . I got the 2 pairs for 59+ exam was free. Really great

Went here today because I lost my job and needed a new contact prescription. Was surprised by the efficiency of the place. Ryan was so friendly! Overall, I was surprised to find that I had a new and different Rx despite having gotten a checkup from another eye doctor 6 months prior (Granted, this difference was slight). Curious to see if they were accurate in their measurement of my Rx needs. I will probably pop back here to give a follow up when my contacts come in. In terms of customer service, it was top tier. In terms of accuracy of Rx with their unique and efficient processes of testing, to be determined. If you are a person financially struggling and need an Rx, I would go here.

This location is serious and sincere about taking care of their clients. The manager is knowledgeable and actively uses his knowledge to best serve the clients needs. Ask questions! Be patient! Everyone was super nice. I loved the new digital optomitrist machine & service. The icing on the cake was Ryan. He made sure I had frames that fit my face then worked with me to make both pair of glasses fit within my budget. Even though i had no insurance, i spent the same amount of money i did last year with insurance BUT I GOT 2 PAIRS OF GLASSES INSTEAD OF 1. I couldnt believe it! I sent my daughter to him as well right after that. She was equally thrilled. I highly recommend going even if you bring an outside Rx & see what Ryan can do for you.

I needed a contact and glasses prescription updated and contacts to wear 3 days before a cross country trip. Not only did Mr. Harrell allow me to call in to an appointment 15 mins before it was supposed to take place, but I was taken expeditiously and taken great care of. The exam only took like 15 mins in all, and the Dr. was extremely friendly and professional. I left with contact lenses for a month, new glasses ordered, and a brand new prescription for cheap! Highly recommend!!!

Ryan, Tyra and the rest of the team are wonderful. I ended up going in for an exam and purchasing frames. After receiving them and wearing them for a day, I decided I wasnt happy with them. Since they didnt have anything I was interested in, I took them back for a refund and they gladly did so no questions asked. Your exam is done with a long distance doctor. This is not a traditional eye doctors office, however, the staff here are worth coming to see. Ill be back next time I need an eye exam.

I’ve been stuck with glasses that I don’t wear for 7 months.If you need more than basic reading glasses, I would go somewhere else. I am very upfront about what I want and what I need. I informed them before any services were rendered that I may have a stigmatism in one eye. I also inform them of what my issues are as far as my vision goes. With that being said, they continued on to the exam.They use several automatic machines that a tech sets up for you and then I did a video call with an ophthalmologist from another location.I went through the eye exam and the doctor ask the question of which one is better, and so on. I replied to her as adequately as possible only to feel like she lost interest in trying to match my eyes with the right lenses. After several minutes of flipping through combinations of lenses, she simply stopped and told me that the exam was done.Fast forward two weeks, I pick up my glasses and try them on and I find that the lenses are absolutely wrong. The lenses caused my eyes to see more blurry and out of focus. They set me up with a second appointment to get my exam again and I went through this process again, informing them of all the same issues that I did in the beginning.At this point I had already paid for the glasses which was their two-for-one special on the cheapest thing they had (terrible selection). Fast forward again another two weeks and I pick up the glasses with the second pair of lenses only to find that the lenses were wrong again. The tech assured me that the results of the exam were the same as what they put in my glasses.After Informing them that this was not adequate for what I required, I was told that they could only give me a referral to an eye Doctor Who does exams in person and that I could just come back with their prescription to get it filled with them and place the lenses in the glasses that I purchased them would have been nice if I hadn’t had to go pay for a second exam. Refund? Don’t make me laugh. Yeah, they refund, but after they add on the exam charge(originally free with purchase) to your balance. Basically, they upcharged me for the exam and offered me a $15 refund.I reluctantly paid for an exam somewhere else and went back for my glasses. I should have taken the 15$. I’m not upset because their prescription was bad, but because My Eyelab and their staff seemed to be all about the money and less about helping or satisfying their customer.

I wish I could give no stars! If you can avoid this place, then please do so! I had a contact exam here in November 2020 and I had issues with the contacts that I purchased. I tried to receive a new contact to try out and I was told I could not have a follow up due to the time line. In most optometric offices the time line is 6 months. Their policy is 3 months which is ridiculous! I have spent almost $200 with them and then they say ok spend another $89 for a new exam in less than a year! That is a RIP off! This is why I will stick to the traditional optometrist office, where I can actually speak with someone that will be empathetic and try to help find a solution. Not a office full of customer service reps and a optometrist that you have no idea where they are. I was in a pinch and in between insurance so I took a chance NEVER AGAIN. Enter at your own risk!

Very nice and professional team. Eye exam was different than preCOVID eye exams but that was to be expected. The doctor was very kind and attentive. She answered my questions and did not seem to be in a rush. I would suggest signs to explain where to go when entering the building for the eye exams so people aren’t standing in the entrance. I was asked by the technicians, which were helping customers, what I was there for. It was a confusing first impression. Overall is was a good experience and I will return. After all everything is a bit weird this year.

I was told that I should receive my glasses within two weeks which seemed a little longer than other places.I checked the status two days before I was supposed to pick them up and it now says order delayed. So I called and was told only one pair was delayed and the other should be ready for pickup on time. Now it’s showing both pairs are delayed.When I went in for my eye exam I overheard another customer complaining that his glasses where not ready either and he was from out of town, they were going to ship them to him. I should have walked out then!

**Post EDIT: Spoke with Ryan from the local store and he explained the delays and miscommunications. I still stand behind my first review of the amazing staff at the Gainesville store. I will however, with some understanding, edit my company review. I realize that right now, glasses and contacts are being ordered at a higher rate. I appreciate the customer service representatives trying to find answers to my questions.I would give the staff 5 stars. Working with Tyra was quick and easy. The staff are all welcoming and make every effort to ensure that you are getting the best deal. The HUGE problem is with the company. I have been given 3 separate dates for when my glasses and contacts will arrive. It supposedly be around a full MONTH before I MAY receive my contacts and glasses. I was quoted 7-10 days...but 4 WEEKs while I can not see to perform my job duties is absolutely unacceptable! I would recommend getting an eye or contact exam here BUT I would NEVER again order from this place.

I call 10 times or more in a row and finally someone answers only to tell me it is the other sales person I need to speak with only they are busy snd will call you back. Guess what. Ryan Harrell is incompetent as a manager! His customer service leaves MUCH to be desired!! I took my son in on 10/12/2020 for eye exam and ordered 2 sets of glasses, even paid for them to be shipped to him in Texas. the first pair arrived with no issue. When the second pair hadnt arrived after 6 weeks, I reached out many times with no response until I finally had to go to the store and was finally informed by Ryan that the 2nc pair of glasses we had selected were no longer available! Despite his claims that he had called and emailed, the only email he had to show was that very same day that I had gone in to the store! Long story short, my son and I went up to the store 12/4 (almost 2 months later) and the girl working the counter literally walked over, grabbed the original frame he selected and popped the lenses out of the BLUE pair they sent him and put them in the frame he wanted! A 2 minute fix after 8 weeks of runaround by the manager of this store! Ridiculous!!! Dont shop here!!

If you choose to go here, you must be the one in charge of communication. Super weird experience during COVID. They basically dont communicate. You enter a room for a virtual exam with a doctor on zoom, with the doc just saying goodbye at the end. No discussion of what theyve done. No discussion of whats wrong with you. No instructions for your next step. It was comical. I basically had to grab my daughters printed report and prescription out of someones hand to figure out what was happening. Then after they ordered lenses and glasses, no call that they were in. We will order supplies elsewhere now.

Five calls to make an appointment and find out insurance coverage. 25 plus minutes on calls and still no help. They refuse to let me talk to a manager. They refuse to tell me what my insurance will cover, I was told it’s a privacy violation to tell me which is BS. They told me I had to come in for appointment to find out what my insurance will cover. That’s not true unless it’s their company policy which is ridiculous. No company should make people come in for information (we can get over the phone) especially during a pandemic! Especially disabled people. Their customer service is a nightmare. Will avoid them in the future at all cost.

Today is 8/31/2020I brought in my semi-rimless glasses for repair 8/4/2020, the string holding in one of the lenses broke - easy fix. I left my phone number and was to get a call when they were ready to be picked up - I never got a call.When I went back to the store in person, I was told the glasses were LOST!Ive spent so much time on hold with this company! literally hours! Ryan the store manager, has yet to make good on his promise to replace my glasses. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT GO HERE. I have been trying to get my prescription for the last 2 hours and instead of helping me, they literally harass me and ask why I do not want another eye exam because my exam is expired. I tried to tell them politely that I do not want another exam and just want my prescription. After I told the representative Im not interested, he keeps asking for my availability on when I want to take an exam. Then the agent goes, can I ask why? Excuse me? And I have called and BEGGED to not have them transfer me because I was on hold with customer service for over an hour, and instead they cut me off and transferred me. I will NEVER buy from eye lab again. I understand that representatives have a job of selling, but being this pushy and disrespectful when I just want a prescription that I paid $200 for in the past is absolutely ridiculous.

Chakona is excellent and she made the whole experience worthwhile. She knows her stuff and was super helpful. However, I will say that this facility and setup to eye exams is not for everyone. There are no actual doctors on site, and the eye exam itself is done remotely by video link with a technician. The eye exam itself is standard, and the lens changes are mechanized which was pretty cool from a technology standpoint. However, there wasnt a lot of information that I could get about how my eyes have changed over time. Overall, I would recommend this location for purchasing glasses, but Im not sure I would do the remote exam thing again. Its great if you need to get in and out and you know that your eyes likely havent changed much over time, but its not for everyone.

Awful. The prescription they gave me was the same prescription I had 4 years ago. I called their corporate number about getting a refund which they refused to do, instead they scheduled me for a retest. I went back for my retest and the doctor refused to do the test at all. Problems accompanied by quick solutions. When I first arrived I was greeted with professionalism and tact by the Manager on duty Ryan (extremely friendly guy). Before I knew what I wanted to do I was getting my exam done. I arrived somewhat early so that is probably why it went so quickly. I only came to this place because who passes up 2 frames and an eye exam for 59 dollars??? Anyway, the frames that qualify are... not so great :/ HOWEVER they were willing to work with me on slightly higher cost frames while still making the entire ordeal affordable. I was able to get 2 awesome frames and some extras (transition lenses etc.) for 150 dollars out the door. I only had to pay 50% up front and the other half when I picked them up. It took two weeks for them to arrive which is exactly what I was told. UNFORTUNATELY the prescriptions were incorrect (way off) for my right eye and we had to repeat the process. Im a patient guy and I understand we are all human so I didnt mind. After waiting another two weeks and three days they arrived to the facility once more. When picking them up I was assisted by Kendrick (who is also extremely friendly) with bending and shaping the frames and nose pieces. I received 2 cases (one for each pair), and two cleaning/storage sleeves. Once I had everything I needed and paid for, I asked if they had a glasses cleaning kit I could purchase. They gave me one for free because of the mishap with the incorrect prescription the first time around. My first experience with this place was great. I accidentally broke my glasses 6 months ago. I went there to get my frames replaced right away. They told me to wait 2 weeks for them to get the frames for me. It’s been SIX MONTHS and they still have not done anything about it. When I call they NEVER pick up. When I go there, they tell me to wait a few more days. I’m just really tired and don’t know what to do. This place is the WORST experience I’ve had with any eye doctor or any American corporation really. The first time will be okay, but then MyEyelab becomes a real NIGHTMARE!!! I highly advise anyone who plans to go there to go some where else. Anywhere else will be better. Trust me, I speak from experience.

Our experience indicates this company conducts fraudulent activity. What they advertise isnt actually available:1) There are only a few frames which qualify for the offer, all of poor quality.2) When you dont get those, they will charge you for the exam and say theyll reimburse you, but they dont.3) They will charge you for the same lenses which would have been free with the poor quality frames.When we filed a complaint with their Customer Service Dept, which is only available via email, they sent us the stock response... so sorry for your experience... we assure you we intend to provide the greatest service. Please provide us a phone # at which to reach you. When that was provided, no call back. After threatening them by email, an immediately call was received, told the matter would be escalated, no future call... only an email saying they were looking into it.If you go, pay with a credit card and be ready to dispute the charge through your credit cards fraud department. They carry more weight than us consumers.

All i want is my prescription information. that’s it. and yet no one in the store answers the phone. i’ve waited 20+ for someone to pick up the phone. the first time they finally answered they told me that it couldn’t be emailed to me and i would have to pick it up. i go to the store. no one answers the door. then they tell me they have to call a supervisor and email it to me. weeks go by with no email. i call them again, they tell me they had the wrong email, which isn’t true because i’ve gotten promotional emails from them all the time. still no answer from anybody.

I am here for my eye appointment and the receptionist tells me sorry the doctors not here so I had to cancel your appointments. I just drove 45 min to get here and she says I called but couldnt leave a message because of hippa. I said you could have just said my appt in Gainesville is cancelled or a text or email! I am furious and will never come back to this totally incompetent place again!😡
