Every single staff member is so beyond kind, as well as the doctor! Even at their busiest and with the phones ringing off the hook, they always remain professional and helpful. Best customer service I’ve honestly ever seen!

I wish I could leave a separate review for Eric + the Doctor, who were so helpful and professional. Eric and Dr, you are great.I went in July to get a new prescription, and was given a pair of glasses with the wrong RX. I was told, “I’d get used to it” by an older gentleman who works up front. I did not get used it. I couldn’t see. We eventually discovered the wrong lenses were put in the glasses, and were not replaced with the correct ones even though I was told they had.5 months later, I am experiencing bad headaches and check back with a new exam ($60!) to find out the blue light filter I had purchased for my lenses in July were never put on my lenses. While Eric and the doctor worked hard to get me replacement lenses for free, its baffling how many times the office got my lenses wrong.I went in to pick up my lenses with blue light, and was offered to get my glasses fitted. I said I’d be happy to do it at home and return if they were loose, as I didn’t want to remove my mask. The older gentleman encouraged me to just wear it below my nose. That’s not happening, and I said I’d rather not because of the risk of COVID. This is while they have a woman waiting for an appointment with her mask under her nose for 30 minutes. Y’all it is a pandemic and we’ve been doing this for almost a year - why are we encouraging this! I wish the staff were more COVID-conscientious. I have an auto immune disorder and felt like I was risking it every time I came in for yet another issue with my prescription.I hate to write this review but if you’re like me and paranoid about COVID, you need to know this.
They are totally understaffed and know it. The staff that is there is very friendly and kind. One person was on the phone the whole time after saying I would be help and sat me down. Sat 30 mins before going to the other person, who was about to start helping the next person but I said hey I’m still waiting. Took 45 mins to be measured because they were doing paperwork for other people, just sat and waited while the caught up. I was there at the end of the year so I was trying to be patient. 3 1/2 weeks later!!!!! My glasses were finally ready. 45 mins to pick up with NO fitting! That’s when I finally ask can I just have my glasses no fitting. He had a very indecisive customer and they talked about lenses 30 mins plus deciding on frames. Then still needed to be fitted. At lunch time when people run errands there should be more than one person working. Or alternative at least acknowledge the customer more than a hi and say I’ll be with you soon, something. I never had to wait 45 mins for glasses to be picked up. I am returning the glasses my left lense is not at the correct OD! It feels like only one is correct. Nothing like Target in Atlanta. I will be going to my normal eye doctor and not try and save money
The customer service here is phenomenal. The paperwork is fairly simple and the doctor was knowledgeable and professional. My favorite part of the visit was interacting with Eric and Allyson. Allyson helped me pick out a pair of glasses and Eric assisted with checkout. I got a copy of my prescription hassle-free and when I asked about my PD, Eric measured them for me. My glasses will be coming in within the week so I haven’t seen the quality of it yet, but I will definitely be coming back for my optical needs!
I booked my appointment online and it went great. Everyone was very polite and even interacted with my son. Unfortunately my prescription is off and I need a recheck. My original appointment was July 25th and I’ve been trying to get rescheduled since a couple days after. I got a call back and was put on the books however my son got very sick and I had to cancel. Ever since I haven’t been able to get rescheduled. I went as far as telling them that they can put me in whatever time slot on any Saturday and just let me know since I can’t always have my phone on me to confirm a time. I have a years worth of contacts sitting on my table that I can’t use and at this point I’m wondering if I can just go to another target optical
The doctor and staff at this Target Optical are phenomenal. No matter who you work with, they each take their time to help you with any issue you may have. I really appreciate their free glasses adjustment service. Allyson has helped me on multiple occasions when my glasses start to move down my nose too much. I’ve purchased a couple of pairs of glasses from them and each time they turned out great. Everyone is super friendly, and I recommend them every chance I get!
They make shopping for glasses fun. Theres a lot of different personalities among the staff and they do what they can to help. The doctor is efficient and professional as well.Watch for their 10 minute grace period for appointments, though.Shout out to Allyson for making my sunglasses 🕶️!
I hate to leave this review, but I am out of options. I have called 2-3 times per day every day on 11/16, 11/17 and 11/18. I drove to you on 11/18 and the associate said yeah we get busy in response to not answering the phone and then I could not be helped as the doctor was at lunch. I waited the 30 mins as they said he would be back after lunch and he was not there 40 mins after waiting. I called later that afternoon and again no answer. I finally got ahold of someone on 11/19 and explained what I needed and then never got a call back after, and I have called 3 times today 11/23 with no pickup. I just need my prescription finalized so I can order contacts. I am in a sample pair.
Great atmosphere and very welcoming staff. I was able to take my time picking out my glasses with the help of Allyson, Eric and Manny. The glasses turned out great, and I made sure to take advantage of the worry-free protection plan. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.
I’m so happy with the service I received today. Everyone at this eye center was super nice and knowledgeable. Eric was super helpful with getting my contacts and the right solution. I wish I could remember the doctors name but he was awesome too. 10/10 recommend this optical.
Optician was great very professional but was overcharged.I told them when I set up the appointment Lenscrafters was trying to rip me off.Guess its the new normal.Do Not use them!
I went with my boyfriend to his appointment and happened to have multiple issues while we were there. First off, his appointment was scheduled for the 22nd (we had email confirmation of his appointment) but in their system he wasn’t supposed to be there until the 28th. They were nice enough to make sure that they fit us into their schedule.In addition one of the gentlemen checking us out didn’t seem to have knowledge of the computer system and was having a very hard time pulling up insurance information but one of the other employees was able to help him out.All of this isn’t as bad as the fact that the entire time that we were being checked out by Manny ( I believe this was the mans name) was wearing his mask incorrectly. It never covered his nose and there were multiple times where he used it as a chin strap.

Weve used Target Optical in Orlando and other cities that weve lived in. I scheduled an exam online for my son, and today picked him up early from school to bring him for the appointment. When we got there the guy simply searched our name and said sorry, I dont have an appointment for you today, maybe you could come back another day. I told him I had an email confirmation and he dismissed it and said sorry, there is already someone else for that time slot, maybe your online reservation didnt go through and turned his shoulder to me. That was it! No attempt to verify my confirmation email or to accommodate us in any way! Entirely unprofessional and inexcusable behavior!
Several months ago I had posted a negative review about my experience with Target Optical. Today, I decided to give it another try and I am so glad I did. I had a great experience. Eric the manager greeted me with a smile and made sure that the appointment was there and was ready to go with the paperwork. Angelica walked me to the counter and made sure I had everything I needed to make sure the visit moved forward smoothly. Dr. Eklunds eye exam was very comprehensive and he was very good about explaining everything.This team works well together and keeps the customers flowing smoothly throughout the process. I never felt rushed. Angelica had thorough knowledge of the insurance and was ready to help make sure I got the best bang for my buck......and the look I would be happy with. I enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish. I will definitely be back.Thank you for the positive energy and smiles.
I have had the most awful experience with Target Optical in Gainesville Fl. I initially went in to get my prescription for contacts and glasses in August 2019. It is now January 2020 and this still has not been completed. Although the doctor was extremely nice, the staff is very unprofessional, does not call you back as they promise they will do and are basically inept. The only reason they are getting 1 star from me is because the doctor was very nice and professional. Im not sure if they need additional training or just someone there to teach them organization because they are drastically lacking in both.
My first time getting contacts was here at this location and I was very nervous about the whole process since I’ve only worn glasses my entire life, but thanks to the amazing staff here all my worries were taken away. They walked me through everything step by step and I walked out of there fully confident in what I just got. Highly recommended to go in there and see them for any eye ware needs!
Nice staff, terrible glasses. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Wish I could say something nice about the quality of of their products.The lenses are made from a very soft plastic that scratches extremely easily. I was told that I should have been more careful in cleaning and should have bought the extended warrantyIve been wearing glasses since I was 5 years old and these are the worst Ive ever owned.
Recently purchased two pair of glasses. One pair did not work out for me and they exchanged them! Wow! Awesome! The new sunglasses are perfect! The staff are friendly and helpful too! Corporate America really needs to take notice of this style of business practice.
So I can’t really bring myself to give them 5 stars and I will explain why. Ashley, Eric and the Doctor are very professional, attentive and kind there. However there is an older blonde woman there That doesn’t know how to appropriately handle situations. Granted I did come in one day after having a horrifying, overwhelming day I was pretty bit*hy, rude and just unreasonable. Ashley and the doctor definitely showed the most amazing customer service and professionalism that day. I eventually called back and apologized, but that other lady she’s just... snobby.As per my contacts I did have to come back once to have the prescription adjusted. The brand of contacts chosen for me I’m very happy with. I am however very disappointed with the frame selection they had there. I personally would not recommend this place due to my personal experience, however I did see some happy customers there. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Great customer service from start to end. This location was very busy when I went in and all of the employees went out of their way to help each customer as they came in. All of the staff was informative of services and deals they had and helped me pick the best package of lenses to suit my needs. would definitely recommend to others.

I have had wonderful experiences in Target Optical with both Eric and Angelina, multiple times. Props to both of you, you deserve 5 stars!!!I’m not sure who was there when I went to pick up my order yesterday, but it was a blonde woman with short hair and she was very rude and disrespectful. I used the warranty for my glasses to get them replaced (my dog chewed them). I’ve worn glasses my entire life and have never had an issue using a warranty or having to bring my old glasses back with me.I walked in and let her know I was picking up my order and she opened it up and said “where are your old glasses?” I let her know no one told me I had to bring them with me for the warranty. Her response to me was (verbatim), “I mean isn’t it understood that you have to bring the old glasses in?” (in the most condescending and rude way) No lady, because I’ve never had to do that before and this is my first time I’ve ever used a warranty through Target Optical. There’s a way to talk to someone that isn’t rude and condescending and to make them aware of the policy instead of making me feel stupid.When I brought my glasses back I very politely let her know that it was unacceptable and how she made me feel by saying that. I also let her know that this experience is honestly a HUGE deterrent for me in ever coming back to buy glasses at Target. I didn’t appreciate it at all and spoke to the store manager about her after.
Can’t speak highly enough about the quality of customer service I received at the target optics in Gainesville. I always feel well taken care of when I receive my vision care here. Every single employee at their vision center made me feel like they were truly invested in me and made me feel like I could ask any question without feeling silly or burdensome. The optometrist at the store was super knowledgeable and gave me great advice about my current vision care as well as answered my questions about lasiks and other permanent modalities of vision corrective options. Everyone at this store is fantastic and I recommended for my roommate to come here for her vision care and she agrees that everyone at this vision center is fantastic :) thank you!
I will never go back. The employee was very hyper, talked very fast and had very poor listening skills. My son wanted and needed glasses. We made that very clear on the phone as well as in person and at the appointment. She had contacts on the brain. She did not listen at all. The eye exam was done for contacts, not glasses. All this employee would do was based on contacts which we did not want. Very poor service. I took my son elsewhere for glasses.
Eric and his associates were so helpful, cheerful and VERY accommodating working with my Insurance! No hidden fees or hidden extras. Refreshing to work with people who are honest and straightforward! Would recommend them to everyone 😁!

I made an appointment for 2/28/20 at 1 pm. I was sent a confirmation for this appointment via email on 2/25/20. I was called at 10:30 am on 2/28/20 and was told that there was no doctor available and that my appointment was canceled. I am very upset about the lack of communication and courtesy
