Great place for beer, wine, and socializing. Beers and wine on tap/glass/bottle. Or purchase it to go like a normal store. Live music and happy hour specially. Only downside, I wish it were open later.

Really nice staff. They know a good bit about beer and wine. Nice variety of styles all the time, and the taps rotate frequently.The selection in the shop is extensive, but not comprehensive. However, you can drink what youve bought on site. And their prices are reasonable. Theyll generally let you bring your own food and eat it while drinking their beer or wine.Plus, theyre in a great location in Kentlands.Unlike a lot of local bars, this place isnt obsessed with sports. They have TVs but, generally, the place isnt loud.There are two downsides to this place: They dont serve hot food, and they cant pour tap water.

Recently moved from VA to MD; I dont normally purchase beer from places other than grocery stores, but MD laws forced me to change that. I still dont know and cant imagine a reason for that law, but Im happy for it if none other than it forced me to check out the Grape Escape. I was awed with their selection of local brews, and learned later that the staff hand-selects them after sampling each one. (Yes, VA has shops like these too but I tried and didnt bother going to these since where I lived, parking was a nightmare near these shops). Ive asked the staff a few times for recommendations, and they seem very knowledgeable and eager to help. I especially like that most of their selection is of the kind you wouldnt normally find in the big stores. I also like that they have many of the brews on tap so you can sample them first. I visited other beer/wine stores in the immediate area, but none compare to Grape Escape. Its location next to the Giant grocery store makes it very convenient, and there is ample parking. Would highly recommend!

Always fun, especially if you come with a few friends. Long tables where you can visit and imbibe. They have cheese plates or you are welcome to bring in food from neighboring restaurants. Live acoustic music ( at least on weekends), wine sampling and great selection of wine and beer.

Nice local beer and wine store with good variety and good selection of beer on tap. They have live music most Thursday through Saturday nights. I stopped in on my own and had a great time, friendly crowd and good music.

We were with a group listening to music. It has a great vibe. Very comfy with a nice variety of beers for non wine drinkers.

This is a very nice place to grab and go or stop in and try out a draft. They have a great selection of drafts on tap as well as a great selection of wine to have while there. They have the occasional wine and/or beer tasting offering wines that are sold in store. The staff is very knowledgeable and courteous.

Great place to have a beer or glass or bottle of wine. They also serve a few appetizers. During happy hour they have a good selection of beers for half price. Friendly staff there is a plus.

Nice up scale place to buy and have a beer/wine. They have several beers and wines on sale by the glass/pint. They also allow you to bring in outside food. So if you ever wished for a beer to go with your Chick-fil-A, this is your place.

Everyone is always very friendly. They go out of their way to make you feel like youve been a regular for years, even on your first visit.

Good selection for a small shop and very friendly staff when I went in. High prices for bottles compared to the local ABC, but a nice neighborhood place to check out for a drink at the bar.
