This place is quickly becoming the go-to spot for happy hour with my coworkers. They have a great selection of beer on draft. Also, they have a big inventory of drinks. I’ve found the seasonal bud light seltzer packs here that I haven’t been able to find elsewhere.

I mean just the best selection of craft beers around! Triple crossing, Other Half, Burley Oak to name a few. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Beers are on point. Check their website for draft beers that are available to go too! I drive 40 minutes to go here!

The best selection of wine and beer in all of Montgomery County. Definitely more upscale and expensive but that’s the Downtown Crown for you!because of the selection, the aisles are very packed and tight. They have a wine bar in the back which I haven’t tried but it seems popular and has nice outdoor seating.

Excellent place and location. Very clean and well organized. Mario, one of the staff members was beyond helpful and very patient and outgoing when I was figuring out what to get for the first time. Very educated and easy to talk to. Overall beyond satisfied. 11/10.

I would give 10 stars if could. Downtown crown beer and wine easily has the best craft beer menu in Gaithersburg. 22 fresh local, craft beer on tap. Happy hour 4:00PM - 7:00PM.

This is probably the best place to go for any quick and grab wine or beer. They have their shelves fully stocked every time i go here to buy drinks. Very clean and the employees here are very nice and welcoming. The have a lot to offer even if you do not know what you want. They always have something for you even if you don’t know what you want to drink.

By far one of the best beer shops in Montgomery County... Dave and Arash operation a fantastic established. Will recommend this place 100 times over!

A well run shop. I think it is a model for how beer/wine shops should be run. During non pandemic times, it has multiple taps running and has local music. The beer selection is fabulous, with lots of local beers and the old standards. Usually, the staff is helpful and friendly.

Excellent beer selection but staff is extremely rude. I’ve been a customer here for three years, but I will not be returning after my latest experience. There’s plenty of other stores in MoCo with great beer selections. Reading the comments it seems that other people have had rude experiences here as well. It is a shame because the selection is truly great, but I will be spending my money elsewhereEdit: The below reply from the owner is not an accurate description of what occurred when I was there. I never cursed when I was in the store. I said it was “pretty lame” that something was “online only” when I was there and staring at a mountain of said product. Then three employees refused to answer my questions and said I was in the way when I was looking at the mountain of product. Please stop lying about this interaction on social media and this platform. I did not curse once while in the store. Your responses make you look horrendous at customer engagement, further reinforcing my position that I will never return because of the service here

Incredibly rude staff. I was harassed by two employees (maybe one was the owner) even after leaving the premises! I will never go there again.

Great selection, staff was a little uppity but what else can you expect at a craft beer store lol. You can even have a beer there! It was nice to see people hanging outside and having a good time, while still social distancing of course! Would check out if you are a beer lover!

I drove over an hour to get here to try their beer. They have a great selection of hard to get Other Half beer which is from a NY brewery. I got cans which they had 4 packs and singles. You can also do beer flights here and try a lot of different yummy brews. I did that. They do growler fills to but only to certain beers and for certain breweries that dont have restrictions on this. Unfortunately other half doesnt allow downtown crown to do growler fills of their beer. :( I will definitely come back to restock up on OH beer.

Always a great selection and friendly staff with great knowledge of their merchandise and stock. This place is always guaranteed to be busy with a fun crowd. My wife and I joke its the hottest club in town. They throw incredible wine and beer tastings also. So keep checking in. Well worth it!

The selection of beers and wines to purchase in the store section of this place is amazing. They have a lot of good deals. The happy hour is great here as well. The waitstaff are all awesome. My favorite time to come here is on Saturday for the live music.

AMAZING beer selection yeah Im a beer guy but hey equally impressive wine selection for those of you wine folks. Enough to please anybody wine or beer pick your poison. They also have various events that cater to both beer and wine folks. Basically never a dull moment. Its always pretty epic when they have a tap takeover or some vinary doing something for the weekend. I stay coming back the prices and selection are very much a bargain.

Tonight was my first time in the store. My husband rants and raves about how awesome it is. He called before we came with beer questions and the person who answered the phone was extremely professional. So, imagine my surprise when we get there and he was halfway ignored by one person on the floor and then the cashier was rude. I don’t expect to be in a professional establishment and have someone answer with “What?” when I’m asking a question. There are more ways to ask someone to repeat themselves. It wasn’t like the line was long. His tone was just nasty. A little eye contact and a smile can go a long way.

Used to be that you could buy singles of pretty much any beer they had, but lately every time i’ve asked i’m told i can’t. kind of disappointing.

They have good selection of craft beers, but this place attempts to be a bar and a store at the same time and that does not work out very well. It is way overcrowded for a store, with lots of people wandering around the isles with a glass in their hand making it very difficult to navigate the store and look for beer or wine for those customers who just came to purchase some alcohol to go. They even have shopping carts, which are absolutely impossible to use because of way overcrowded and too narrow isles.

I love coming by here on a Friday afternoon and looking at the excellent craft beer selection. They have so many good choices to choose from plus the bar has an incredible selection as well! The music is always on point and the staff is friendly.

Called and asked a simple question, the person that answered rudely said no and hung up. Im certainly not spending a dime here.EDIT:Correct, I asked if liquor was sold at the store, and I was given a harsh no, he sounded annoyed. All he said was no, not another word was spoken I said more than ok, perhaps I had another question, the conversation was not finished on my end and he hung up. An apology on your behalf would have been better.

Absolutely love coming to this place. Staff is super friendly and helpful, and its a nice change instead of going to a loud packed bar. Their draft beer selection always rotates so it never gets old when I come here since its a new experience every time. Its also incredible that you are allowed to bring your own food in, since they dont serve anything besides charcuterie. Happy hour prices are great too!Ive also had a great experience of proposing to my wife at this location. Everyone was excited and great to work with when planning the event here.

Great place to pick up beer or grab a drink! They always have a great selection of beers for sale. Always something new to try along with your go to beers. The bar is a great place to grab a flight and try a few beers on tap. Can be noisy and crowded on weekend nights but happy hour is a lot of fun.

Very good craft beer selection. Especially whats on tap. Draft selection & pricing is spot on. No 5th star🌟because of the bartenders indifference to me as a customer. He was very attentive to his friends even when I was standing directly in front of him. I have had perfectly competent service in the past.

Fun happy hour scene, usually with live music on the weekends. Gets crowded quickly some days, especially when theres something good on tap. (Check their web site for todays list.) In addition to a large selection of canned/bottled craft beers, you can buy crowlers/growlers of most draft beers. Great staff too!

Great place to find unique and local beers but my wife and I always feel uncomfortable walking in there. Even though we visit the establishment about once a week (this is our go to spot) for the past two years. Great beer and wine selection. Terrific place to people watch in DTC. Wish they had a little more food to offer, but after all this is primarily a wine and beer store. Sometimes the locals can make those who dont live at DTC (and hang out together every day) feel a little like outsiders, but the fact that so many from the neighborhood congregate here is a good sign, too! Weve brought the pooch her a time or two to hang out on the patio and that was fun. Cant wait for warmer weather!!

Great atmosphere. Endless choices of beer and wine. Hardly anywhere to sit though. At times hardly anywhere to stand. The place needs a better seating arrangement.

This place is a great place to grab a beer to go or drink in. Digital displays for the taps and the constantly tweet out when they are changing their kegs so you know whats going to be on tap there. Also love that they sometimes carry Fix and Mythos, two traditional greek beers that can be hard to find in the States. Wonderfully huge selection, good prices, great staff, just wish the indoor space was a little larger and more accommodating.

This is our favorite place for beer, wine, Mead and the like. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the selection is great. They even have imports that most wine and beer places dont carry. In addition, their happy hour is great and the overall atmosphere is unparalleled.

I just left the store, and the man at counter was so rude;I felt like returning the wine. I will sincerely think twice before I spend my money at the store.I checked the consistency in the customer reviews; the customers that felt they were treated rudely have one commonality: skin colour. I see the owner states he/she is ethic but, it maybe good practice to survey any consistancy in negative reviews inorder to find root causes. Ijs

This place has a variety of beer available to go. I expected to interact with the staff a bit more while making my beer selection but that never really happened. They have a good balance of local beer as well as others not from the area. I wish they had more singles available that were cold but there were still quite a few.

I got the privilege of working here for the last six months. The owner took me in because I was a recently separated veteran. Within that six months, I learned so much about beer and wine! The inventory is crazy; every day I learned something new. The staff is super knowledgeable and really took the time to help me grow as an employee. Great place to work and now will be a great place to enjoy the 22 beers on tap! DTC is definitely a gem in Gaithersburg. I wish them well and will always be grateful for the opportunity. Cheers🍻
