I gave one star, but had the option been available I’ve have given it about negative 50. Wonderful, pleasant to hear recording, but no hint of intelligent human help anywhere. I called about five times, the recording says they’ll restart internet, and they never do. Please, someone: compete with Comcast in the Gaithersburg area. I’d like to shift service. Without a monopoly, Comcast wouldn’t last ten minutes.
Having had Comcast previously, Ive never bothered to review them. Im taking the time now because they keep annoying me with junk mail. Their television service is a joke these days when one considers all the streaming services and their a la carte availability. That availability is why I ditched the TV to begin with. Ive also had both their cable and telephone service. Both are fine when they work. Often times, they do not work. Because of the poor nature of their service, I took to calling them Comcrap. I have yet to think of anything remotely as clever for Xfinity. Its unfortunate that if one wants internet in Montgomery County, one only has a handful of choices, Comcast being among them. I would never recommend them to anyone, ever.
Worst customer service ever which explains why they struggle to stay in business.
Nice clean place. Good customer service.
Makesha was a stellar customer rep. She was knowledgeable and efficient. Everyone had their masks on!
I paid 60 dollars a month for slow internet, the company said it was my fault and I wasted more money getting a new router. Then when I complained enough they finally sent a tech to my house to troubleshoot and they found out they had a blocker on my internet cable. They never gave me any compensation. Also another one of their tech operatives threatened me that if I didnt like the changes he did to my internet he knew where I lived. 0 stars
Excellent service here!!!
Thank you Mr Desire Tessofo and the technician for helping me to get my connection at home. You did a tremendous job. I appreciate that
Very effective COVID-19 precautionsFast enough attentive staff4 stars because of the parking
Parking is horrible, park in the garage and walk. The employees are very nice but spent some time over who was on duty and that time to help the next customer. Service is quick which is good because there is no place comfy to wait
HORRIBLE EXPIERENCE HERE! If i could give ZERO stars i would.Went to upgrade our internet speed - OUR ENTIRE CABLE PACKAGE was deleted and all of our cable boxes voided.I have been on chat and customer service phone for 4 hours last night and another 4 so far today and NO ONE can figure out how to fix the problem and get us our cable back that we have had for years. They switched it off in two seconds why is it taking TWO DAYS to get cable back?!Dont got to this store OR use Xfinity
I had no problems at the service center while returning my Comcast Xfinity modem but Comcast continues to call me telling me to return my modem. That is the only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars.
Waiting for almost an hour. They had 3 people working for a dozen customers... No regard for peoples time .The person who helped was very kind and apologetic. This is not a criticism against the staff. Rather it reflects poorly management. They know the weekend is busy. Need to hire more help if they care about costlier service Switching to #Verizon.#comcastfail
Jose knew what he was doing. Had me squared away and out the door in 15 minutes.
This is one of the worst managed places for a Comcast service center. Even to pick up a device ordered online takes more than 30 minutes wait. There are just two people in the peak times and I waited for my third visit before I posted a review of this place. After every customer is sent out they all chat for 10 minutes before calling the next person. Hope Comcast looks in to the reviews and do something to improve this place and the way it is managed. I strongly feel this is a management issue.
Raised my bill without notice and then not allowing me to change servicesSo they suddenly raised my bill. I called to find out why and they said it is due to some promotion ending.Alright, then cancel the TV service, which I dont use. They hang up on me. And refuse to let me contact them by any means to change my services.Yeah, Comcast the worst company in America!!!
A little bit of a wait but when it was finally my turn I was in and out in 5 minutes. I didnt like how one of the employees spoke to an elderly couple they were serving. At first he was psuedonice then after a minute or two his whole demeanor became rude towards the little old lady. Everyone else working seemed nice enough though. That guy should not be in the service industry.
This place was no good bad customer service. This is now closed. And a new service center is open in RIO all new customer service is great.
Comcast.... enough said, when will fios be available
Was helpful why I was there when I got home. The boxes werent the correct boxes at all spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get the stuff hooked up and they still couldnt get an activator for some Oddball reason had to have two appointments cuz the guy didnt show up the first appointment finally the guy came out today and installed everything 9 days later
I dont know why this service center has such bad ratings. Ive been there four times over the past few years and the employees were polite and helpful. I only had to wait there a long time once, so its better to go during the day or before people get off work if you onto want to wait long, otherwise I have no complaints about it at all.
Great customer service. The best Comcast experience I ever had. Thanks for your great customer service. Keep up the good work. You are appreciated 👍
Great tech
First you need better drivers. Guy nearly killed someone running a red light getting onto 370, then pushed me out of my lane on 370 doing over 70mph. Then going near 85 again on 270 swerving in and out of lanes nearly hitting more people. And since I was driving and he was pushing through people I couldnt get the sticker on his back of the truck. This was at 520pm on 4-30-2019. Seriously this is pathetic nearly killing people probably just to get off the clock and home fast.
I got “welcomed” with an attitude: name? What you need? Very disappointing especially since Comcast on the phone is usually very customer oriented
Comcast billing system appears to have rigged things so that customers are compelled to keep their extra high service
Comcast has the worst customer service I have ever seen and I will tell everybody I know not to get cable from Comcast! They called me this month- May 2014 to offer me a special for $89.00 plus free hook-up and I excepted. They sent a tech out on May 9, 2014 and a few days later, they cut off my services without telling me anything. I called their number and was told to call another number which I did. When a lady answered the phone, she said they turned off the services because there was a bill for $63.00 for not turning in some kind of equipment from years and years ago. I told her I turned in the equipment and I do not owe them anything. Plus, I asked her why would Comcast send out a tech to turn on my services, and turn off the services within the same week? While I was talking to the lady, she hung-up on me and disconnected my phone. I was left without any telephone services, or TV services for over 5 days. I dealt with this matter once before and I took in the receipt years ago. They were rude and very inconsiderate! I am 68 years old; what would I want with some old equipment!
Worst customer service on the planet. Just went to Verizon for better $. After 20 years, they wouldn’t give me a rate similar to what they offer new customers Now that I’ve left, Comcast is sending offers with a better deal. Way to late. Maybe in two years.
Bot is annoying. Need to talk to agent. Automated system is terrible
Im not one to have great experiences with Comcast but I arrived later (after 6:30 when they close at 7). It was empty. I was in and out in 5 mins and met a great service representative. Totally satisfied with their service. This is highly unusual.
I recieved the best service ever from this store.
It is astounding how this company is in business with the amount of idiots working there. We moved in early November and wasnt notified wed have a completely new account number, we stopped receiving the paper statements we were supposed to receive, and because I had to call in to make a payment, the moron I talked to applied my $200 payment to my old account, which was closed. Now I have a $200 credit on an expired account, an overdue balance on my current account which is going to result in my service being shut off in two days, and so far Im up to 3 Comcast representatives Ive spoken to who have been unable to help me in the slightest way possible.
First off I went in to upgrade my service. Came up to this guy named Michael with glasses, yeah he should be fired. No help from him he just caused more problems with my account. He added another cable box on my account and my bill skyrocketed. He never told me he was adding a different box he just messed up my entire account. Called customer service the following day and they fixed the mess Michael did. Michael should not be a customer service clerk at Comcast he should be a fire immediately after what he did to my account. Comcast is great but this one guy Michael made me HATE their service.
Without question, the service at Comcast Business is the worst Ive experienced. I tried to consolidate my services -- running a business and personal account out of my house, it just made sense to make them one service, bundling features to minimize the costs. My attempts to close the business account resulted in months of dialogue with Comcast and although they have notes on every call, the last call with customer retention was infuriating and if I send something today, they will disconnect the account.Customer beware...
Parking was plenty. I was able to get in snags then out in a very reasonable amount of time. My gps did not get the road correct, but it was easily findable.
Could it get any worse? Why, in a capitalist economy do we have to deal with what is in essence a monopoly? And to expect actual consistent, quality service, why I ask you again? Are we living someplace where this might be expected? HORRIBLE. CONSISTENTLY HORRIBLE service. Come to rely upon it and be sure to pay a premium for it.
I have always had issues with Comcast, but some of their representatives are empathetic to the standards their company places on customers & employees. Kind of terrible, but this is the world we live in right now. Always remember to Vote!
Had a really unpleasant experience, I went there with the intentions of switching my cellphone service over to Xfinity mobile and ended up being without a phone for days because they put the information in wrong during the porting process. Then the clerk didn’t even bother to follow up with me, I had to contact Comcast about the issue.
The rep was very helpful and pleasant to interact with... However, he said hed activated our internet without even asking for the routers MAC address... It wasnt activated and I had to call again to get that sorted...
First installer came out and took three hours to NOT set up our cable. Said it was the companys system malfunctioning. Next day the second installer says its not working because the set up was done incorrectly. He fixed it and hooked us up. But it was very important that I have service considering I work remotely and I had to lose a day of pay thanks to the first installer not knowing what he was doing.
Jose provided fast and friendly service. Didnt wait too long, even though it was very busy when I entered. Great service!
The customer service person was very helpful. He explained things to me and answer all my questions very well.
I was stunned when I turned in my cable box the other day. In all previous dealings with Comcast, my customer experience had been abysmal. This time was completely different. The Rockville center is set up like a mini-DMV. There is no standing in line. You take a number and sit down to wait your turn. Its very easy to tell when your number is coming up because its displayed on clearly visible screens and audibly called out if you happen to be distracted when your turn comes up. 9 active reps when I was there which kept things moving efficiently. There were lots of customers, but I only waited maybe five minutes. Even though things looked promising, I was still dreading the actual transaction. But the guy who dealt with me was very pleasant, answered all my questions, and actually shook my hand when we were done. Totally painless! I would give them five stars, but I still have scar tissue from all the years of poor service :)
Be prepared for a possible long wait. Although the staff is knowledgeable, helpful and nice, they are usually understaffed and deal with the more complex lengthy problems. If you can, make your payments and product exchanges using their website or phone services and mail in your returns. If you have to go, plan to go before or after Rush hour and never during lunch time.
Called comcast to get X Fi extenders, was told I could pick them up in Rockville service center. When I talked to a rep. they assurd me I could get them there. Well, they were wrong, they do not have them. I would not need them but the new X Fi system coverage is spoty kn our house.
I cant even record a football game and watch it later. It plays for 20 minutes and then cuts off. Then it disappears from the recorded list as if Comcast it getting rid of the evidence. Ive called twice about this problem and was on the phone for 40 minutes each time. It turned out to be a complete waste of my time. I received the all time classic line management is aware of the situation and is looking into it. Its been like this since the begging of the football season. Its sad that I pay $ 230 per month for a product that isnt even worth $50.00. I would change but Im going to be moving and do not want to go through the hassle.
Large seated waiting room. Took a little time to call my number, but it was better than standing in line.
Thankful
If I could give a zero rating I would. Very bad customer service 👎👎 .employees talking to each other and customers waiting.
Oh my god....i can hear multiple reps put down the phone and talk instead of helping me... then I say hello? and they say yeah im here, what was your account number again?
Shouldnt need all this service things should go without stopping but the person was quite good and I got it taken care of but its service is intimate
Good service on the day after Thanksgiving. Hardly any wait + fast service.
Never, have a i had a good experience here.. even when only trading in broken boxes for new ones.. they all act like they could care less about you.. their personality is not one that should be at a customer care center. you need to revamp your customer offices with people who at least pretend to care. someone higher up needs to step up
WOW. First they said the last person had Comcast so if you sign up it’s plug and play. I signed up they said if you pay 1 dollar we won’t run your credit so I paid that dollar. Now for reality, it wasn’t plug and play and when I contacted customer service they said it was $70 to have a technician come out and set it up for Me. But the selling point for me was no credit check and plug and play service. Then I get an email from credit karma saying Comcast ran my credit so I had to Cancel service and now I have to dispute with Equifax. What a shame and a waste of time.
Way easier than having a tech come out to the house. One of my x1 boxes wasnt setting up and I kept putting off just going to the store because I thought it would be a pain.....it wasnt! I was in and out in 5 minutes and now all my equipment works.
Token system to wait for your turn. Usually fast service, friendly and helpful staff.
45 mins, take a number for 3 minutes to turn in equipment. There is a better way, they just havent found it.
Over the course of the 5 years I have had comcast, it has cost me about 500 dollars in rental fees for the 20 dollar router and modem combo that I had to give back to them when I cancelled. Verizon has been much more reliable and fast.
Wow, knew their reputation but went with them anyway when I moved. Worst idea ever. They installed the equipment but it wasnt working when the tech left. He said it was a low signal and it would be up in an hour or two. Nope. Called twice 4-5 days apart, got the same answer, low signal strength. Called a third time 4-5 days later and they now say there is no signal reaching the box and a tech needed to come out. Got transferred around to several different reps and finally they said that because the service would be working when the tech arrived I still had to pay full price. Thanks but no thanks. Ill pay the cancellation fee, which is odd because I never had what I paid for so Im not sure what Im canceling, and go to another carrier.
We never even used their service and they charged us. We provided proof that we had service with Verizon and they still charged us.
Comcast as a company is simply terrible. They routinely overcharge, then kindly hold on to your money for 4-5 days collecting interest, and will lie to you while giving you the run around. You would be doing yourself a favor to find another cable company.
Actually much better than in the past, but left people waiting in the cold until exactly opening time.
Good behavior. fast checkout. Quality service.
Extra charges for items we dont have keep showing up on our account. Getting the charges off takes numerous customer service calls. They kept turning our cable card off. it would take multiple service calls to get someone who knew how to turn it back on only to have them turn it back off on accident 5 days later. We ordered triple play and they never sent install kit for phone. Switched us for a month then switched us off triple play. And then they offered to put us back on triple play for a higher amount. Only way to fix is is to get another modem apparently. They keep taking me off as an authorized person on the account and then say they are putting me back on permanently after talking to my husband. Only to find that the next time I call I am not on the account as an authorized user.
Comcast is one of the worst business I have dealt with.We signed a contract over a two year period. After some time, I have noticed that Comcast has decreased (unauthorized) some TV channels. High speed internet Comcast claims, also disconnected frequently to the point of disrupting me from completing important tasks. Comcast also crept up in monthly billing amount. Some day, Comcast charged extra for modem rental, in which I personally own (I did not borrow the modem from Comcast). I called to correct the issue, but Comcast kept on stating otherwise. They asked when I purchased my own modem, whether I have the receipt or not. When I asked about the contract termination, Comcast claimed that it found the record of me having my own modem. Comcast tried so hard to apparently give me the best offer for customer satisfaction. I wanted to return the TV cable box. I called and the representative stated that I have 10 days grace period after the end of the service day to return the equipment. The representative said that someone will pick up the equipment in a week, and that I would not be charged. I kept the TV cable box for a week until someone picked up. I did not watch TV or use the internet, as I switched to the other company. Then, Comcast billed me extra (over $100.00) for holding the equipment for 7 days. I called and representative named Paul said that I was supposed to turn the equipment in by the end of the last service date. I kept on telling him that multiple Comcast representatives told me otherwise, and that as a company, Comcast had a responsibility to inform its customers correctly. He kept on saying that hes sorry but wont do the right thing whatsoever of not charging me of being wrongly informed. Comcast is one of the worst business out there. Its highly unprofessional and keep seeking the opportunities to charge its customers more.
Edited review:I have to give these guys a lot of credit. They moved the line through at break neck speed and the customer service rep was very good.Original review:Did I just enter the Twilight Zone? I feel like I just entered a customer service department under management from 30 years ago. Im in line behind 40 people. What company operates like this in the 21st Century? I feel like Im at the local DMV. Well, nothing comes close to being as ridiculous as the Montgomery County DMV, but still...
Kind of slow at a times. Great place to request equipment when changing services.
Not much crowded. Quick service lines, decent wait times.
9 windows and only 3 people working. Its slow as all hell and to make things worse, the WiFi is slow art the place we go to BUY WIFI! They make up for it with great customer service though.
Mixing internet, phone and TV sales and service in a store makes for a slow go. Be prepared for a wait. I think they want to be like an Apple store - another cult. Opening day was staffed with somewhat unprepared staff.
Horribly slow. I pulled number 57 and when I got there they were on number 44. After 55 minutes of waiting for my number to be called the gentleman behind the counter kept trying to give me options other than what I asked for. Claimed they couldnt give me a receipt for my transactions with them and the wait time for the quality of service here was horrible.
Bought a package with Digital preferred channels and internet performance Pro with 100 Mbps for $59.99 or $49.99.It was a special deal they were running for only a week. So I purchased it because it was a great deal. Three days later my Digital Preferred channels stopped working and they told me I no longer had Digital Preferred and now have the basic Digital Economy. I spoke to multiple people and then received hidden charges. I took a picture of the account and information showing what I had purchased and what my account said and they refused to look at the emails. They recently just changed my account on me to what they were saying and deleted emails. Luckily I took pictures of everything to prove it but still refuse to answer me or help.Comcast you are horrible and shocks me you would do this to a new customer. I am switching to verizon before the end of the week. I hope all the arguing and shadiness was worth ruining customer relations even more losing a paying customer.
Horrifying! This place is the Devils vacation home.WHY doesnt Google allow NEGATIVE STARS?!?!Short Version: This service center gives you shoddy equipment and wont let your kid use the bathroom while you wait!!!Long Version:Week of June 10-16 I noticed slow and intermittent internet service at home.June 20 I called Comcast, they said theyd send a new modem.June 27, no modem still, called Comast, they said go into the Rockville store and swap out my equipment there. (No compensation offered for slow internet or delay in shipping.)June 30 I swapped out modem at service center. Went home, plugged in, didnt work, tried again, didnt work, called customer support, they said, Oh, the service center gave you a Cisco model we know to be defective. Sorry for the trouble, please go back and have them give you a Technicolor 3.1July 2 wife went back, waited in line, wasnt allowed to use the bathroom to change our sons diaper, and was handed another modem that looked similar to the one we just traded in. When she confronted the clerk, he sheepishly went back and got the right one (Technicolor model). AND he had the gall to say that the modem she was bringing back worked sometimes...i.e. THEY KNOW ITS DEFECTIVE BUT GAVE IT TO US ANYWAY!!!She came home with the new modem, I plugged it in, and it did work. BUT the model is a Technicolor 2.2, not a 3.1 model. Im fairly sure a 2.2 is a lesser model than a 3.1, but Ill be damned if were going back there again. So, BEWARE! This service center wont let your kid use the bathroom and tries to repeatedly fob off obsolete equipment on you.
They need to figure out how to go quicker. I was just in there to drop off equipment and it took over 20 minutes.
One of the better ones. The service was quick and the guy at the counter was helpful.
They changed the inside to make it much easier to wait and I love it.
I am very frustrated with Comcast WiFi service. problems never stop and it always calls for upgrade services to find out that they never work either.extremely poor service.
Went Here for help with a Comcast Business issue. The staff were grest, but they are residential only so they were unable to help us with our issue.
The customer service center if good ... Comcast service at home sucks.
Terrible service just signed up for Comcast. Arrived 10mins after closing to pick up a box and modem and a surly guy at the door told me to basically get lost. Must be that awesome culture of customer service Ive heard so much about. Way to treat a new customer. If I had another option Id cancel. So much for competition and a free market economy.
Not easy to find, no parking, just not a good location
This Comcast locations has gotten better throughout the years. Its mostly not that pack as it use to be.
Terrible customer service, they are not able to provide a reliable connection despite the price of the service, and unable to identify the trouble. Technicians are late if they ever show up, and unable to fix the line. Xfinity. AVOID AT ALL COST.
Horrible company! Customer service is terrible. Phone support? Menu hell. The customer representative in their Rockville office will tell you anything to sell/up-sell you. Then the company will fail to follow through.I was in the USA for three months. The representative signed me up for a 2 year payment plan. Now why would I or anyone else do this? The company claims that this is what I asked for. The representative in the office, whom I spoke to in person, said that he would cancel the cancellation charges ($200), but the company sent me a bill with the charges. Were in dispute over this, and Im not sure what the outcome will be. Horrible company!
Summer (2016) lightning storm fried my Comcast router, but the spike damaged nothing else. Had to replace the router. A few days later, more storms struck. Comcast Internet in the neighborhood was down for 3 days, then most of a 4th day. Verizon Fios did not go down at all in this time. When the service finally went back up, the Comcast mail server would not accept my log in for my email client. I could log into Comcast web mail, but not via Microsoft Outlook using the exact same credentials. My home business was crippled during this time. I asked for an explanation but I never got one. So, I switched to Fios. All has been well ever since.
Never renewing this mess again. Im HAPPY to pay more to Verizon
Good customer service. Quick.
Pleasant StaffStill dont get problems resolvedWHY? ANS: Its Comcast!
The Cust rep was knowledgeable and able to help us quick. Thank you!
Its astonishing to me that you have to wait in line like its the DMV just to return a modem after cancelling service.
Unmarked that the building recently moved yo the other side of the complex and there is no direction to the customer area when you see comcast trucks everywhere how can youbtell. Plus since when is Comcast the MVA take a number and wait now!!!!
Comcast or Xfinity...whatever they are called these days...people that work at this walk in location are actually very helpful. Finally being treated like a customer!
No wait and good customer service. I was pleasantly surprised.
How the company like this could be still exist? Terrible customer service ever! Its ridiculous!!I placed an order over online for my Internet and TV services on March, 2016. But Ive never received any equipments, but Ive been getting bills from Comcast. So I called the Comcast, and one of represenative apologized for the trouble and she told me I should go to nearest Comcast store at my area and pick up the equipments then call them back so they could waived all the balances that Ive been charged. So I went to the Comcast store near by me and picked up equipments, and I called the Comcast and explained what has been happened, and the agent told me all balances that I owe will be waived since I didnt use the services and didnt have equipments until I actually went to the store picked up the equipments. Few days later, I found out my services were temporarily suspended due to unpaid the balances that has been waived. So I called Comcast again and spoke to payment department agent had to explained what happened cuz they are not even made any notes or anything like that about my previous call issues on their system, and the agent said I must talk to billing department for this matter to be solved, and I spoke to an agent at billing department and had to explained all over again, but billing DEP agent said I have to call the collection department for this matter to be solved, so I called the collection department and explained all over again and he said theres two options if I want my services back, either I pay the balances that I owe which are the amount that Ive been charged even before I picked up the equipments, or I have to talked to billing department. I told the agent I already spoke to billing department and they still said they cant do anything about it and I had to talk to billing department. So I called billing deparment and had to explained all over again and the billing agent created a ticket and agent said the person who actually can help me with this matter will be contacted me on June, 2 around 4 p.m which is today but they never called. So I called Comcast again today and the agent saying they are experiencing system problem and they cant review or pull out any accounts at this moment and told me to call 2-3 hours later. This is crazy...
Worst internet service ever. Signal dropped all the time. When tried to call them to disconnect the service, just could not get through. They simply hang you up no matter how many times you call. Never deal with them.
Comcast is awful. If you for some reason use them check your speeds and youll see how bad it is I was only getting half of what I was paying for. Customer service is terrible. I switched to RCN its cheaper and faster.
That early I got in and out quickly.
Garbage company from the ground up. a company built on a steaming pile of garbage. Fios is a far superior alternative.
A Happy Day! Goodbye Comcast. Today I turned them off.
Would have never thought that expensive internet could be so unreliable until I signed up with comcast, Xfinity or whatever they want to call it. By the way the cable sucks as well. I have had cable/ satellite tv for over 25 years and its hard to believe that this company is the pits.Contract expires next month and Im gone, worth trying somebody else instead of continuing crappy service.
